Guest Reviews
- Stephen (10/5): Comfortable, welcoming, cyclist-friendly, budget-friendly inn; convenient location. - Comfortable, quiet rooms in a nicely appointed traditional house that’s an atmospheric introduction to Japan. Friendly, helpful proprietor is eager to please—she was welcoming, let us keep our folded-up bike boxes in the shed for us to pick up on our return. Covered shed for bike parking. Great neighborhood of narrow alleys, also easy cycling distance to shopping for anything, including camping and cycle gear. Two train stops from KIX. And a great price!
- Hoa An (8/5): - Incredible value for money, fully furnished with modern appliances and facilities while still keeping the old style of the original house A guide to access the location from the train station will help, since Google Maps would lead to shortcuts into narrow streets in the neighborhood, increasing chance of getting lost
- Krystyna (10/5): -
- Rita (8/5): nice place to stay close to kansai airport - comfortable room and cozy atmosphere the kitchen could use some love and tidying up
- Amy (10/5): Lovely Japanese inn - Lovely little Japanese inn with self check in which was nice after a long travel day. Room was simple and comfortable. Facilities were very clean. Convenience store nearby for essentials. Cute Japanese style touches throughout.
- David (9/5): - Easy contactless checkin - handwritten instructions are given. Clean, nicely decorated room and common areas with games and manga. A bit of a walk from Izumisano station but not a big deal.
- Daniel (10/5): - The traditional style of house with the quiet area N/A
- William (10/5): - Loved how spacious it was. Very nice atmosphere. Not the property's fault, but one night, some other tenants were noisy until 2am.

- Edwin (10/5): Perfect - Very peaceful and quiet, rather authentic Japanese home experience. I was the only guest for the night and it does get kinda creepy especially in the winter. Though I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Lovely place to layover near Kansai airport. It is a little out of the way and there’s not much food nearby.

- Priscila (10/5): - It was a nice place for families and the location was very convenient as we had a late arrival and early departure to and from kansai airport
- Manoël (9/5): -
- Nelly (10/5): -

- Daniel (10/5): Unique traditional Japanese experience! - Beautiful traditional Japanese house near the airport with all the amenities and a very friendly host! Very affordable and unique stay, I highly recommend. Nothing

- Gary (4/5): Traditional Vibes but No Soundproofing - I liked the interior decoration which seemed very traditional Japanese yet has a modern shower and bathroom. The guesthouse is on a quiet sidestreet not far from a small stream. I asked for a quiet room but ended up with Room A in the middle of the guesthouse with two rooms above me that didn't stop making noise all around me until 2 am, even though it was clearly stated that 10 pm was quiet time and I asked them several times to be quiet. The other guests (from a country known to have bad manners) used the common living room area to store their open luggage and wore the bathroom slippers around the guesthouse. There is no electricity outlet in Room A, and the ceilings around the guesthouse are quite low. The check-in involves a lock box, but I only got the code once I arrived from a note left on the front of the building.
- Amawander (10/5): Exceptional - This is the most beautiful traditional inn I have stayed in in Japan. I came here with no expectations and was really blown away by every detail from communication to decoration, location and facilities. I will definitely return to Izumisano and stay in Kominka Nagomi again when I have the opportunity. Thank you for a fantastic peaceful night of "home".
- Beth (10/5): Just what we needed. - Honestly cannot fault our stay in any way. It was one of the most authentic experiences we had during our stay in Japan. As soon as we arrived, our host made us feel unbelievably welcome and at home. The glowing reviews about the dinner were right too; absolutely delicious and unique. Just what we needed before setting off on our hike the next day. Would highly recommend to stay. We loved everything about our stay.
- Kireewan (7/5): Good - It is near the airport. The room is at second floor that is hard to carry our luggage there. There are so small stairs. We have to be careful when going down.
- Pok (10/5): Great stay near KIX Airport -
- Navarrete (10/5): Exceptional - It was very easy to find, it was about a 15 minute walk from the train station with all our bags. It was very comfortable and cozy. The shower was amazing and it was also easy to locate our room.
- Jeeyo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jake (10/5): Amazing traditional experience with everything you could need, wish I could live here! - This was truly one of my favourite experiences I've ever had. Everything was perfect from communication with the lovely owner Yuri, who I had the pleasure of meeting before I left, to the actual house itself. The beds were a lot more comfortable than I thought they would be and had multiple layers with very comfy pillows, the house was very clean and tidy with a very homely feel which immediately made me feel at ease. The tatami mats felt very nice to walk on, and there were plenty of indoor shoes provided. I was really scared coming to another country for the very first time and especially as I am a solo traveller but being in here made me feel at home right away. All of the kimonos and knickknacks and other extras only added to the experience and allows for an authentic traditional experience on a budget. Yuri was very accommodating and quick to respond with everything, and showed genuine care and passion. Truly cannot believe how cheap it is per night for what you get.
The area (Izumi Sano) is amazing, far enough from all the hustle and bustle of the city while still having everything you need and easy to get to the larger parts of Osaka. Would highly recommend the gorgeous beach park in Nishikinohama (5 minute train ride from Izumi-Sano station) as well as the gorgeous Junkisshu Kopurple cafe which has lovely personable staff and amazing french toast and soft cream. Not to mention that in addition to the many different drink vending machines in all the many alleys and pathways you can take, there's even one inside the kitchen of the house! And with a lot of the drinks even cheaper than most vending machines outside!
There were no negatives for me, just a couple tips I gathered for first timers.
It's a very residential area so at night it's extremely quiet which is great but do keep it in mind if hauling luggage.
- Elk (10/5): A fabulous experience all round! - A perfect intro, outro or in between stay in your Japan experience. A traditional Japanese building with so many cute, thoughtful and interesting touches at a great price and an easy 2 stop ride from kansai airport. Izumisano station is 10 mins walk.
Vending machine in the kitchen sells alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at a reasonable price. It doesn't stock food.
There are four separate rooms in the accommodation but there is lots of space and it didn't feel crowded. There were two toilets and two showers to share.
The self-check-in was easy using the key box however please be thoughtful. This is definitely a residential area so no noise in the street with wheeling bags or talking late at night would probably be appreciated. I liked everything, but things people might like to know are:
If you need food, buy it from the convenience stores near the station as there are none near the house.
There are four separate rooms in the house they have futon beds so can house one or two people or more I assume. All have shared bathrooms. The b, c and d rooms are all up steep stairs.
The B room in the house is located above the stairwell at the back of the lounge room, I found the map a bit confusing as I went in via the main entrance... It can be accessed via the entrance next to the key box
The A room looks like it would be affected by incoming light so turn the lights off outside the room at night and also possibly bring an eye shade if you find it hard to sleep with light coming in.
Towels are found in a cupboard in the shower rooms.
- Kharyi (10/5): Great experience stay - 10 mins neighbourhood walk, spacious room, traditional Japanese house, all facilities as stated, convenient self check in and check out, quiet neighbourhood, walking distance to public bath, supermarket, combini, train and food Nothing in particular
- Rita (9/5): Good choice! - beautiful room and gorgeous house! easy to get to from the airport. easy and convenient .
- Alana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katharina (10/5): - A beautiful old town house style accommodation. Four japanese style bedrooms that lock separately, two toilets and showers, a spaceous kitchen, and one big shared living area which is lovingly decorated with traditional japanese decoration and furniture. There are also toys for kids and kimono (yukata) to wear.
The streets are narrow and you might get lost if you don't use a navigation map on your phone, but it's only 10 minutes from the train station. It's a quiet residential area with a few nice restaurants. 30 minutes on foot down the road is rinkutown with a big shopping mall and restaurants.
- Ansar (8/5): Very good -
- Peter (10/5): Excellent stay - Great, very clean and spacious traditional room with shared facilities in a very cute coastal suburb of Osaka only 10 minutes from the airport? -
- Jeremias (9/5): Superb -
- Huyen (8/5): Very good -
- Anna (5/5): Good for airport transfer - The property was convenient for the airport transfer. We had 1 day in Osaka, it’s ok for sightseeing if you get the fast train to the centre is 30 mins. There was no one greeting us at the property which felt a little bit like an Airbnb. Unfortunately there were other guests who were quite noisy during the night and woke us up 2 or 3 times, our bedroom was next to the kitchen and bathroom as someone decided to dry their hair at 4.20am! Nothing to do with the property but maybe some rules in place would be good so everyone can rest and enjoy their stay.
- Tolga (6/5): Pleasant -
- İlker (9/5): Traditional - You get to experience a traditional Japanese house with lots of interesting traditional objects to explore. They even have kimonos. It is close to KIX
- Russell (9/5): Superb -
- Chia-hua (10/5): Perfect for the night before my flight - Quiet area; large space for a solo traveler; shower stall and facilities were very clean; has a kitchen if you need to cook or store anything; check in and out was easy; not too far from the station; this was a good place for me to stay the night before my very early flight (I left the property by 4:50am) I’m not a fan of tatami as the dust sets off my allergies (not a fault of the property, of course)
- Guy (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was amazing, especially for a foreigner.
The owner was especially kind, spoke amazing English and helped me with my onward journey.
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
- Erdenesaikhan (9/5): Superb -
- Marine (10/5): Wonderful! - This guesthouse is awesome! It was my first night in Japan, I was a bit stressed because I was a bit late, and I didn't know the city at all, I arrived after 9pm. But Yuri was so nice to me! She let a key, a little note with everything explained. The room was so charming, really clean, and you have everything you could need at your disposal. Thank you so much, and I will do my best to come back to Osaka and be able to meet you!
- Melander (9/5): Superb -
- Sean (10/5): Exceptional -
- Iskandar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - It was peaceful
- Leilani (10/5): Exceptional - Kominka Nagomi was great. I arrived late so the host emailed me the key details and also left a handwritten note. It was very client and very clean. There was a vending machine to buy drinks - water, softdrinks and alcoholic beverages, bathroom was clean, they left a few small little Japanese snacks which was nice of them. I felt good value for money. There is also a manga room and kiminos to dress up in (for free) for photos, but I was exhausted so just had a shower and went straight to bed. Peaceful walk from train station Nothing
- Abhishek (10/5): Great stay next to the Airport - A good place to stay right next to the airport, if you have an early morning flight. Very comfortable with good facilities, and great price. May not be ideal for someone who's looking to see the sights of Osaka, Nara, Kyoto
- Thunradapat (10/5): Awesome ! - Very nice staff and service
Atmosphere A little far from station
- Sarah-josephine (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was so amazing and kind! Always willing to help and kept the place very clean.
- Marcia (7/5): Spacious room, good value - Spacious room Next to the kitchen, so a bit noisy when trying to get an early night sleep for early flight the next day
- Héctor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sabrina (10/5): A historical house in a local area - We only stayed here 1 night after flying in to Osaka and happily would have stayed longer. It’s even more beautiful and cosy than the photos show, spotlessly clean and comfortable. A very atmospheric traditional Japanese house, I would have loved to learn more about the history of it. So many authentic and interesting Japanese cultural items to look at, a large manga and DVD selection and snacks for guests!
The location is a bit of a walk (approx 10 minutes) from Izumisano station but I think it was worth it for the historical house and the neighbourhood itself is a slice of real Japanese life in the Osaka suburbs.
We didn’t meet the host (Yuri) due to our short overnight stay, but their English is great and they are easily contactable.
- Khairul (10/5): Lovely stay, wonderful owner ✨ - It was a beautiful Japanese traditional home, with beautiful decor, comfortable bedrooms and clean toilets. It even has a shared kitchen that you can cook, with separation of halal utensils as well for Muslim travellers. The owner is super friendly and make sure every thing is settled and comfortable for us tenants. Definitely recommend ✨✨ The only thing I wasnt fond of is the location, which I understand the owner doesnt really have any control over. Going there by taxi is recommended if you have lots of baggages. Otherwise not a huge problem.
- Eloisa (10/5): Interesting to be there - Very quite place, clean, Big room
- Binit (8/5): Very good -
- Wai (9/5): Superb - Traditional and authentic Japanese style
(10/5): Exceptional -

- Penny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Su (10/5): Exceptional - Love the stay so much and owner is very friendly and helpful !
- Aaron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wenling (9/5): Superb -
- Mia (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (8/5): I was only there briefly arriving late and leaving early, but I liked the style of house and furnishings. Little ninjas - Within walking distance to Izumi Sano station (10 mins and easy to find), and two stops to Kansai airport. Nice old style house with tatami and futon. Clean and tidy.
- Luca (10/5): Very nice place the host is very friendly and helpful for everything - L’accoglienza
- Tong (10/5): Extremely worthwhile - The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. She would explain as much as she could whenever we had questions and even offered to drive us to the train station. Nil
- Francesca (10/5): Great solution nearby Kansai Airport - Very nice and clean guesthouse nearby Kansai airport (15 mins by train).
Host is speaking english very well and she has allowed us to check in earlier.
- Marita (10/5): Awesome and good value for money - First thing is I like the area as it's close to where we want to visit. The owner is very accommodating and so easy to reach. The house is well maintained and clean. We really had a great time. 👍
- Jon (9/5): Superb - I liked the location from the station even though I may have brought more luggage than I actually needed. It was mostly peaceful with a quiet neighborhood. Not that far for the laundry mat which was shocking to me. I really appreciate yuki-san. I can't say that there's isn't anything to my liking because this has been one of the few places I stayed at. Can't compare at this time.
- Melissa (9/5): Superb -
- Franky (10/5): Exceptional - The host is super nice and responsive. Indeed, the apartment offers free bikes for tenants to ride and kimonos to wear for taking photos. A very beautifully decorated traditional Japanese home to stay!
- Luna (10/5): Help with storing luggage and keys - I locked myself out of my room and the owner drove to the property to unlock my door in only 5 minutes. They also held some of my baggage for five days while I traveled outside of the country before returning back to the property (I booked two separate stays at the same place).
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional -
