Guest Reviews
- Bad-Bike (10/5): Tolle, einsame Waldhütte - Sehr freundlich und zuvorkommen Nichts, alles super
- John (10/5): - Nice place run by really sweet people.
- aurore (7/5): - La tranquillité de l'emplacement en pleine forêt.
La gentillesse de Lynn qui nous a donné des conseils pour notre visite de Yosemite. Le logement est petit pour 4 personnes.
- Todd (8/5): - Very homey and quiet!
- Sriramtej (10/5): - It was very good. Clean. The hosts were friendly. A little expensive but great overall!
- Haoran (10/5): - Very good place to prepare your Yosemite trip.
- Mary Ann (10/5): - Airbnb, very country. Super friendly and knowledgeable host.
- michael (10/5): - I thought the room and Barbecuing area was great. I did bring a small propane Barbecue. It fit my needs was quiet. Liked the large pond in the entryway. On the property.
- Mariusz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Comfortable - Awesome comfortable place. We came in late, they were there to meet us and see if there was anything we needed. Warm on a cold Yosemite night. Dirt road off the path but was very safe.
- Nancy (8/5): Very good - Breakfast was fine 😊
We had trouble with our rental car and the hosts drove us to a hardware store and then let us stay until a tow truck came. Wonderful people! They went above and beyond to help us!
- John (7/5): Good - Friendly staff and spacious clean room No in-room coffee; open tea bag wrapper (trash) on table upon arrival
Better if there was a cooked, prepared breakfast instead of a cold self-serve one
- Ann (10/5): - We greatly enjoyed our stay and even though we arrived very late the owner of the property was so helpful and welcoming!
- Jackson (7/5): Good - Clean and large room for the two of us. Owners were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed watching the hummingbirds while we had breakfast on the deck. We didn’t realise how far the property is from Yosemite Valley and through winding roads.
- marcos (10/5): - The room was impeccable super clean the service amazing, and the continental breakfast the best, I will stay there again, actually planning to come back soon
- Deborah (8/5): Very good - Welcoming host. Good location to Yosemite. Room was clean.
- Christian (3/5): Poor -
- Agnieszka (8/5): Very good -
- Krishna (10/5): Highly recommend to stay in this property to enjoy the country setup. - It was home like setup.. Host family was very caring.
- Julia (4/5): Not Yosemite, not paradise, not an inn. - The room and bathroom were very clean, the bed was comfortable.
Emailed directions were clear and helpful. This is a bunk house in a remote lot. The walls are thin, the grounds are scruffy.
I guess, in this area in the summer, you can charge over $200 for what felt like a remote youth hostel.
- Michal (10/5): Exceptional - The accommodation is located in a quiet area surrounded by nature.
The host lady was very hospitable and kind. In fact, we were there the only guests at the time and we felt really welcomed there. The room was comfortable and spacious, equipped with everything you could need (toaster, cattle, Coffee machine, microvawe, fridge...).
The breakfast served outside on the terrace which is a unique experience. Everything is as described. Recommended.
- Murray (10/5): - Nice quiet out of the way location yet on the way to Yosemite park. Cute nostalgic ghost town near by. Fun adventure
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay here again - I was a little nervous about staying here, but the location was what we needed! Turns out the inn keeper is super nice and generous, and the room warm and comfortable. We were delighted! Would stay here again.
- Larisa (7/5): Good -
- Ozoda (2/5): Very poor - The lady who managed the facility did her best to keep the place clean, but really it’s just a room in someone’s house.
- Ramona (6/5): Pleasant -
- Giuseppina (9/5): A great place for those of us who love the outdoors but also the comfort of a cozy place to stay! - The place was extremely well organized, it was like a real home: everything you think you might need, it was there, including non perishable food and an amazing breakfast basket that kept us fed well for our intense hikes in Yosemite!
We liked the feeling of a real homey place, nothing fancy. Loved the porch with the lights. The place is quite isolated from stores and restaurants, but that is exactly what we were looking for!
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place and amazing people.!!!
- Maria (10/5): Relaxing stop on our way to Yosemite - Clean and spacious with a kitchen
- Anonymous (9/5): To me it’s pleasant - The room is clean, comfy and there’re lots of cleaning supplies It’s a bit far from the park
- Anonymous (10/5): it was a lovely cottage in the middle of nature. hosts were very welcoming and made sure we were comfortable. - the property was cosy set in a quiet location.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Melissa (7/5): Not luxurious but clean and in a great location with friendly staff. - Great location, close to Yosemite. The staff was very nice and left us a great breakfast. It is very dated and the beds aren’t comfortable. They could use a mattress topper or something as you can feel springs.
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (6/5): Pleasant - It was a good location to stop on the way to Yosemite from San Jose. The room was clean and the water was warm. We got a screw in our tire driving on the dirt road and driveway to the property. That was unfortunate and threw a wrench in our trip. All the rooms are connected so you can clearly hear what’s going on in rooms around you.
- Antoine (10/5): Great inn in beautiful location - Nice little inn in a lovely and quiet area, very friendly owners provided breakfast when we didn’t expect it
- Behrang (8/5): Very good - Marilyn was very kind and accommodating. Instructions from Larry on how to get to the property and how to check in were complete. The Bed was comfortable. The amenities were useful (microwave, coffee maker, fridge, etc.). Breakfast material were provided in advance so that we could leave the property early in the morning the next day and be on time for Yosemite. Room is not soundproof and we could easily hear another room at night, while we really needed to get some sleep. Room heating was also a mystery. We were told there was central heating in the building, but during the night the room got cold without any heat being turned on. If the hosts fix these issues, it's a good choice for accommodation near Yosemite.
- Susan (3/5): I would not recommend, and I don’t understand all the positive reviews. - We didn’t get to meet the staff, but the sister-in-law was there helping out and she was delightful.
The room was mostly clean, though a bit dusty, and the beds and linens were nice. The photos did not show how trashy the grounds were. I get that this is a working farm, but there were dozens of half-finished gardening projects littering the grounds. Our “patio” consisted of cast-off furniture with gardening tools (including a long chain saw!) and a discarded fish aquarium. Not conducive for a relaxing cup of morning coffee. And most definitely NOT safe for children. or pets! There was just an overall air of sad neglect.
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Janet (8/5): Very good - quiet, nice cooking option with essentials it’s in the middle of nowhere and feels a bit sketchy as you get there
- Young (7/5): Good -
- Kyle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (8/5): Very good - breakfast :-) very thin walls - you could hear everything through them
- Sandeep (8/5): the hotel is located off a country dirt road near the town of Coulterville with a friendly owner and access to the main - it was quiet and rooms were clean it was far from the main roads and somewhat difficult to find
- Tal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Masato (9/5): excellent! - kindness little old
- Kathleen (7/5): Good -
- Jocelyn (10/5): Helen was a great host. She gave us a lot of advices for our hikes in Yosemite. The place was peaceful and quiet, perfec -
- Darsan (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): Very Welcoming, Hard to Find Bed and Breakfast - It's not a hotel. It's a bed and breakfast and the people who run it are really nice and service oriented. It very much has the feeling of staying over at Grandma's house. If that's not for you, then don't come here. Also, as anything near Yosemite is...it's not the easiest to find.
- L (10/5): very friendly and attentive to my needs. - amazing staff, beautiful property absolutely nothing
- Sathahone (10/5): love the place - location, unique place , waking up to the rooster sounds. love everything about the place, it was cozy
- Lyle (8/5): Very good -
- Tamara (10/5): Exceptional -
- Asan (10/5): Exceptional - The room where we stayed, it was amazing, everything were there (kattle, frezzer) , the owner also prepared a small surprise like snack for breakfast and small dinnef Nothing, everything were good
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joy (9/5): Superb -
- Gelman (9/5): Very nice place and location -
- Tink1982 (10/5): Exceptional - Lyn and Larry were so hospitable The location, the peacefulness, their kindness
- Kyr (9/5): Superb - The place was incredible, surrounded by trees! Very peacefull and has everything you need! nothing, everything was great!
- Sally (8/5): Very good - Fabulous hospitality, lovely spot, good breakfast, super clean The mattress wasn’t very comfortable
- Antonin (9/5): Superb -
- derek (10/5): - Would stay again. Very welcoming couple with much knowledge of the Yosemite area and the accommodations were amazing. Thanks again
- Hui (10/5): Exceptional -
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy Inn - It was a really clean and quiet place. Also super affordable price!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Given the drought restrictions, the overall property was well taken care of. The breakfast that was offered was surprisingly pleasing due to its quantity & variety (e.g., vegetarian and gluten-/wheat-free options).
- JUNTIMA (10/5): - Great host!
I arrived late. We were worries if we still check in. But Lyn
stayed up to give me warm welcome. Love you and your places😃.
- Verified traveler (8/5): B & B - The Inn was a B & B. I did not know this. It was very clean, decorated nicely and the hostess was very friendly. My only complaint is that it was very hard to find and didn't have great wi-fi.
- Amber (10/5): Felt like home! - Had a great stay here! It felt like we were staying with family. Everyone was so kind and fun to talk to. The room was super spacious and the king bed comfortable. Had every amenity available in the bathroom. Breakfast was very good. Can’t recommend this place enough!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was good. a bit hard to get there because there is no reception but the hotel was good and we had a good breakfast.
- Maria (8/5): Nice place but breakfast left a lot to be desired! - The owners were wonderful and warm people. Our room was large and comfortable. Our only complaint was the breakfast. We've been to many B&Bs over the years and have always had wonderful home cooked breakfasts. This one was a typical continental breakfast. Nothing was home cooked except the hard boiled eggs. Frozen waffles, pancakes and various pastries were offered. We paid a lot of money for our room and expected a better breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): family style cottage - the owner , Larry and Marylyn are very sweet and helpful . You will feel like you are staying at your friend or family house. We really appreciate their hospitality.
- Jay (6/5): - The written directions were much appreciated because of the remote location and lack of cell service. The WiFi was also greatly appreciated, as was the TV. We would have liked the ability to set the room temperature and found the scent of the host’s cooking to be a little too strong. Breakfast was ready early and was complete. The owners were very friendly and check-in/check-out went smoothly.
- rob (10/5): Great b&b on the way to yosemite - It was great to stay here and they had several rooms so we met a couple from France. It was clean and a fun place to stay. I would definitely stay there again!
- Reyna (10/5): - Loved This place will go back , it was perfect.
- Yaoming (10/5): Come back again - We are happy to choose this place. Family atmosphere makes us very comfortable. Especially the owner is so friendly
- Ivy (10/5): - Everything amazing I will definitely recommend this place to my friends and will come back here . :-) :-) :-)
