Guest Reviews
- Linda (8/5): We had a great couple days, would stay again - Ocean view, proximity to things Pillows, elevator broke
- Keith (6/5): - Stay was overall ok, probably wouldn’t stay again. We were in a room booked for four people, 4 days, we were provided only 4 towels total and only were able to get more when we randomly ran into a cleaner who had to “ask her boss” if we were allowed more towels. The beds were uncomfortable but that was to be expected with price and style of hotel. Lastly the parking was horrible if you have a larger vehicle.
- Destinie (10/5): Exceptional - Loved being ocean front, beautiful view.
- Aymee (8/5): - Had to purchase paper towels, toilet paper, cleaning supplies, and bug spray
- Sergio (8/5): - Room was good but heater didn't work very well
- Yasmine (1/5): INFESTED - Nothing this place was gross roaches EVERYWHERE DEAD AND ALIVE this place was gross roaches EVERYWHERE DEAD AND ALIVE
- Tracy (2/5): - The room we booked was not the room we were given. Also, the room had poor amenities.
- Danielle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gina (4/5): I wouldn’t stay here again and I definitely wouldn’t recommend it to friends. - The location was good. The room was not cleaned well at all. Dead bugs and hair in the bathroom. The tub floor was broken. The dishes and glasses were dirty. Towels had dirt and stains on them. Very difficult to get service for new sets of towels and toilet paper. No real communication from staff.
- janice (8/5): - Great location
- Douglas (2/5): - Entire room spelled like a burnt house and marijuana, couldn’t sleep kept waking up thinking something was burning. Glass all over parking lot, pool non existent, sand all over the floors upon arrival
- Samantha (10/5): - Unit 207 was perfect. Nice view of the beach. The room was clean and equipped with essentials for cooking a meal. The area is quiet. Excellent communication with the owner.
- Skidmore (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amber (5/5): Passable -
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not what is advertised - Very misleading profile of room. The pictures are outdated and the hotel is beachfront but the room is not.
- Gabrielle (6/5): - Close to the beach; don't anticipate being able to have a beach front view though, as we were faced to a parking lot. Stovetop was cracked & only small burner could be used. Had to contact the unit owner (via text because theres no front desk) about the floors & shower being dirty, dirty drapes with holes, supplies that were supposed to be provided being unavailable, and various things being broken and the only solution was having someone mop the floors. Fine to get out of the house for the night but wouldnt expect much, at least the unit I was in.
- Thomas (2/5): - Pictures were deceiving, full bed shown as a king, sofa bed small, room estimate about 300 SF, no amenities, view out windows total construction, no attendants , rate a one out of a 10being the best, I thing Expedia should look into this facility, my guest and I left immediately and checked into a beautiful resort in same block
- Joey (4/5): Safety NOT A PRIORITY - Host gave the keycode to his next guest early and they arrived to the room and walked in as I was getting into the shower. I was there alone as a female and it left me quite shocked! I called my sister to drove to me from 2hrs away and the host didn’t even have a second parking pass to allow her to stay nor did they reimburse a parking pass gor the inconvenience.
- Willie (6/5): Pirstes Cove Daytona Beach - Had issues with the booking information ( discrepancy between the property and Hotels.com). Room was not very comfortable. Property is being renovated. Did not have access to some of the advertised amenities. The smoke detector was on top of the mini refrigerator instead of being attached to the building wiring and installed on the wall .......
- Ryan (8/5): - The experience was convenient. I guess the main issues were the walls were thin and made it hard to sleep. Could hear the neighbors with their conversations.
- Exhelberry (1/5): Did not end up staying at this place. Filing a dispute. I will never use booking.com again. - Didn’t end up staying there. Was not what we asked for. Very disappointed. Was lead to believe it was ocean view, instead the view was of the sides of the building. Ask for a replacement place and it was dirty. Did not stay at replacement place either. Found place in our own.
- david (4/5): - This is advertised as beachfront. My room had a view of the parking lot. I’m highly disappointed. This place is a bit rundown. Not suitable for anyone looking for a nice location.
- Donna (6/5): Ok, although over charged - The building and room looks like it came straight from a Motley crew view. The room was clean and our over all stay was ok for a last min booking. The security lady was kind. My over all complaint was I was not charged the $69 cleaning fee…… I was charged $128.93 (twice) and had to communicate several time to get one of the charges refunded. Then I was told the $69 charge plus 10% tax equals $128.93….. I just accepted that and we just will not book with them again….
- TabiCat’s (2/5): - Photos are from property sale years ago. Not luxury. Not reliable.
- Adams (4/5): Not the worse experience but would look for another hotel in future. - Close to beach, easy walk from center. Quiet. Smell of weed in the hallways and smoke in the room. Hard bed. Lots of ‘interesting people’ hanging outside late at night.
- Kat (2/5): - It was absolutely ridiculous that I got the complete wrong room with no ocean view and no sofa. They were not accommodating. No parking pass so I had to watch so my car wouldn’t be towed. It just sucked and I’m still waiting on my refund of 21$!
- Jose (6/5): - This property it's being use as a live in for long time resident, there are NO front desk, NO staff to assist you if anything goes wrong , Garbage stream through out the property. The lights over the Exit signs leading to the stairs DON'T work, AND the pool has NOT been fix from Hurricane back in 2022.
- Lesley (4/5): Unit is not as described. - Once arrived the instructions of which door to enter building, was very confusing.
You only have one door that remains unlocked to be able to enter your building.
The pictures shown versus what the unit looks like is completely off. The unit is not maintained or kept clean. It is very dirty. Also, the front door is very hard to close and lock due to it being swollen. Pictures are included of what the unit looks like and the filth that doesn’t get cleaned even though they charge of $69 for cleaning fees. Which brings me to my next problem. After questioning why my second charge for the cleaning fee was $88.78 the gentleman tried explaining to me it was the $69 +10% local taxes. After I confronted him letting him know that the local taxes are 6.5%, he stopped communicating with me. So not only is he overcharging you for your cleaning fee they never even clean the unit correctly.
- Rashad (5/5): Passable - The beds were comfortable. No pool, no staff on site, facility could use alot of upgrades.
- Escavada (10/5): Perfect Getaway - I loved Everything about the Beach House & I definitely will be visiting again Nothing everything was perfect
- LaVerne (6/5): - The room was decent, clean although check in was confusing....
- Lacy (5/5): Passable - Nice clean room with efficiency Pool was closed and office was locked and no staff to open the door
- Angeline (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (3/5): not how it was described on the website not for family vacation. - the room was big and clean. pool is out of order from hurricane damage. There is no Staff on duty whatsoever. none of which is mentioned on booking.com. Was put in a room where nothing can be seen except construction work. when I asked to be moved they would not do it and would not give a refund for 7 days we had to drive 2 miles to another location to use the pool. all in all not great for a family trip. maybe just work purposes.
- Walter (10/5): Exceptional -
- Azenith (8/5): A good price for the place. - I will say we were comfortable with our stay and all the facilities were thought of and the place is clean. I dont like the open floor plan as i would like the bed separated from kitchen and dining.
- Sheila (2/5): - Nothing was as advertised. Wall outlet broken/socket side exposed. Towel holder falling off the wall, toilet paper holder falling off the wall, trim at bottom of front door on the inside was twisted almost off the door almost cut my foot. No pool(collapsed on seaside. Parking pass for only one car and was told to park the other car down the street by a gas station(and walk back with my child?) no on site personnel. Bathtub was not sturdy like it was going to cave in(cracklines can be seen) floors were not clean, our socks were super dirty from the floor, unidentifiable stain on mattress cover and continuation of stain on the air conditioning unit next to the bed.. oh and after you book you find out u check yourself in and via digital lock pad. For the price I would definitely not book here! I personally will never rent here, I would rather sleep in my car! I’m sorry to say, I have no “good” things to comment on.
- Sergio (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (4/5): - No staff on property to deal with problems. Hallway carpeting very dirty, hallways very dark and poorly lit.
Door code did not work after one day, could not lock
our room door. Did not get the room we requested.
After first day, moved to another property. Would not
recommend this property at all.
- Diana (7/5): Good - The tv didn’t want to work
- Douglas (2/5): Th first disappointed room i ever got from this - From arrival to departure it was a let down pool has been washed away since the hurricane but it said nothing about that, the 2 dozen plus fruit flies that welcomed us in the room were only the start the tv turned on but nothing was hooked up, the bed felt like a stack of newspapers no real lock on the shared balcony, toilet not cleaned show drain appeared to have a baby sleuth in the drain no key to get into the lobby area and in the second night we returned my boys thought Snoop Dawg was in the hallway which by the way appears to still have the original carpet from when it was build and when you try the number they provided it just rings.
- Diane (7/5): Good -
- Keith (3/5): Poor -
- Brown (5/5): Passable -
- Marsha (2/5): Horrible get another room do not stay here made us sick. - The room was horrible I contacted the owners and they did not help at all simply offered us another room and another place that looked just as bad. There was mold and mildew in the air conditioner and the place was constantly wet from the moisture and the humidity. Our floors were wet all the time or socks were wet. The bathroom door had glass panes missing so anybody in the room could see you while you were doing your business. Which was very inappropriate. The laundry room was not an extent the pool was on existent I understand there was a hurricane in the area but you should not publicize a room coming with all these amenities if they're non-existent. Especially the laundry room we did not have a car at the time and we're count was counting on a laundry room being on the property but instead we had to Fork out a lot of money for Ubers to bring it to the closest laundromat. Like I said I contacted the owner about a lot of the problems but simply offered us another room in another place which looked just as bad. So no discount no refund and no help from them whatsoever we went during Christmas week and we rented the place because our house was under repairs from the hurricane. And we ended up in a hotel/condo that repairs were going on all day long. It was the worst Christmas we ever had unfortunately it was my granddaughter's first Christmas which was horrible thank God she is very small and will not remember. And by the way we all got sick the week we stayed there every single one of us had bronchitis and were sick throughout the Christmas holiday. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the air we were breathing when I looked at the air conditioning filter. I think and believe that it was black mold.
- Raikoem (4/5): Disappointing - Poor preparation. No clean floor. Bad condition and outdated room and overall. Hope they see that they are in need of a full make over. The most Important part, cleanliness was not good.
- Lakiesha (10/5): Very cozy - Cleanliness, prompt response, location
- Iliana (6/5): Pleasant -
- James (2/5): - Do not rent this property. The people that own it tried to put us in a property several miles away from the room we rented. They said "we don't have any rooms that are where you rented so we moved you". We canceled and are trying to get a refund.
- Janett (2/5): - Awful building, old dirty smelly and sticky floors. The drapes inside the room disgusting and the communicating balconies were unsafe no lock on the balcony door. Too expensive for the price and undisclosed expensive fees charges for cleaning
- Kandy (4/5): - I originally thought it would be like any other stay with a front desk to ask questions to, but there wasn’t. The number that Google provides to contact a hotel coordinator is invalid. Tried 2 different numbers and got someone on the phone who was polite enough to walk me through how the check in actually worked. You have to wait until it is actually 4pm to receive a detailed text telling you what unit and passcode. Having detailed check-in instructions ahead of time (other than just a 4pm time slot) immediately upon booking, like the unit # and easy access to pick up a parking permit (not in the room that is designated at last minute) to station your vehicle at least without the fear of getting towed even before the room is ready, would have been helpful. The side parking that is public with beach access was convenient in the meantime before getting the garage parking permit but did not feel altogether safe despite the different signage of “video surveillance”. After getting your unit # and passcode via text, you have to access the building via the elevator in the garage and got to the floor where your unit is and punch in the passcode to your room. Once in your room, there is supposed to be a building key (that gives you private access to the pool doors that also lead to the beach) and the coveted parking permit to not get towed if you wanted to park in the garage. Check out is simply putting the building key and permit in the room hanging for housekeeping to store again.
- Anonymous (6/5): Room was clean and pretty but the building needs some work. - We enjoyed the pool and ocean view from the pool. The
room was nice. The hallways and elevators smelled. Due to construction,
we were woken up by loud machines in the early morning.
Few bugs here and there but didn’t let it effect our stay.
Only had one bowl , had to switch turns eating.
- Latoschia (1/5): Horrible - Nothing The host was rude, roaches in room, someone walked in on me naked with a key
- Peggy (1/5): Very unpleasant. - There wasn't any.
The view was a parking lot! No bugs. Door to balcony broken unusable.
- Nicole (2/5): Horrible - When arriving hotel was not what was expected for the amount that was charged on website showed 131 after processing seen there was a 69 dollar charge on top of that for the cleaning of the room which was not shown in the total for the room after looking shows in small print on top of it all expected ocean view with balcony it was looking over the roof of the second floor parking can't even see the ocean or pool
- Nichole (2/5): - Ripped us off of our money never emailed us back and can’t get our money back. No way for us to get in because nobody came for us nor emailed us about check in.
- Roman (2/5): - The worst studio ever. That is not hotel and there are no lobby. All communication by phone. If some trouble they no care. Everywhere cockroaches. I reserved 2 nights and they charged $94.11 over the total price and I reserved by Expedia but charged me Beach front studios in. Don’t stop here guys!!!
- thomas (4/5): - Payed for beachfront room and ended up getting a parking lot view. There’s a $100 hidden fee for cleaning and taxes you pay at the last minute. Air conditioning barley works. Almost 80 in the room. There’s no front desk so your on your own.
- Brandon (10/5): Great stay - The stay was amazing once everything was situated. Enjoyed myself with my fiancé
- Ronald (2/5): - Location
- JAYNNE (2/5): - DO NOT stay here. Not enough space to document the entire terrible experience. Thank goodness we used Expedia, they were able to contact the owner when the number provided was disconnected. After you book the owner then adds on a $ 69 cleaning fee plus extra charges. The facility was nasty, dirty, smelled bad. The halls were like from a scary movie. The room was clean I thought until I saw the bottom of my socks when I took them off. Yikes. The bed had a rubber mattress cover and made you sweat and was very noisy.
- Petar (2/5): Old, smelly, full of roaches - It was a privately owned apartment in an old building. It is not what is showned on the photos. It was clean but full of roaches. The building is old and some kind of long stay low class apartment complex. It is very noisy, smelly, some criminal like activities all over the place, definitely I didn't feel safe at this place. The parking lot/spots are super small. We barely could fit our 2021 F-150 in it and the next morning found some minor scratches. This is the worst place we stayed so far. Definitely I don't recomend it.
- Dedrick (4/5): Terrible - I dont recommend this place at all. Charged us a cleaning fee that they never told us was non-refundable. Roaches in the drawers and behind the tv. Check in was at 4, to check in at 2 it was a 25.00 fee, which i didnt minr paying, but very upset about the cleaning fee because we cleaned the room completely for nothing.
- Annette (4/5): Room 321 - We stayed in room 321.
it was embarrassing when family members came to meet up at our room.
For the future stay of your guests I would consider fixing the following;
1) there was a huge crack in the bathtub floor,
2)2 lights did not work in our room,
3)the island table is blistered and gross
4)the floor is covered in something, (not beach sand).
5)the duvet’s filling of both are all messed up.
6)the mattresses were either old or super cheep because our backs are all killing us.
I’m not trying to be rude or cruel, but for your own rental sake, it would be worth investing into improvements.
Sincerely,
AL
- Verified traveler (2/5): - No front desk. No maid service. No ocean view balcony for us. Bed terrible. Smelled dank. Balcony was over the parking lot while I paid for ocean view. No handicap access to pool or beach. Bricks near pool uneven causing a fall risk. No handicap parking. Never recommend this place. Never stay here again
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was nice to have access to the and liked the pool. What I didn’t like was the hallway smell covered up smoking,
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Over all the stay was good. Room was clean and easy to get into
- Nancy (2/5): - my family and i arrived for my reservation after the 20 some hours drive striaght through from battle creek mi. to a locked hotel with no front desk no way in. two security officers for the property address hotels.com booked me for. so my stay was myself my 72 year old mother with stage four lung cancer, and my 25 yrs old daughter sleeping in my 2004 chevy trailblazer in a parking lot of a walmart. i called customer service more then once with security officer with me phone on speaker trying to help get my family in our room. the hotels.com customer service agents because i called more then once. comfirmed my booking the check in process security ex[planed to me an is dayton beach club policy on the other hand zero knowledge or training. im soi furious with hotels.com i cant believe what happened and still emtionly a wreck
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The place - once you got in the room - was fine. The entry was all fine once you got into the building, but the building itself was very hard to get into since there is no reception. Lucky that someone came out just at the right time so I could get into the building. From there on the instructions were fine. Building was very run down. Room was adequate. For a last minute booking, it was ok. Not bad, not great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was very clean, comfortable and the access to the beach is great.
- Johnny (8/5): - The property smelled like smoke. The room was ok but we could not get the balcony door to open. Very nice to be on the beach.
- Jessica (4/5): - Hall ways/elevator dirty and smelt. Was not beach side view like booking said.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great Stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very nica property - This was a very nice property. The rooms are fully updated. The beds are great. I am a heavy guy and this was one of the best beds I have slept on in a hotel. The property is on the same street as the beach access. If you want you can just back out and head to the beach.
- Candi (4/5): - Mold in bathroom. Smelled like musty mold in the unit and I am allergic to mold so had trouble breathing and coughing. Had to stay in friends room down the street.
- rocky (6/5): - Very confusing. Door to outside was broken, had to fix myself. Actually a nice stay all things considered
- Keith (2/5): - Room was nice but paying a $69.00 cleaning fee on a $60.00 one night rental unacceptable. Only stay here if it will be a week or more they do not want 1 or 2 night rentals.
Is in the plain text you better read everything clearly
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Updated room was nice. Pool was very nice. Great location.
- Roy (6/5): I made it. - I got to the room ok. Used the instructions to get in the door ok. I did something wrong on the TV remote and lost the signal to the TV. They need to have instructions there on how to use the 2 remotes. I had never stayed in a place with auto check in and out. A little scary with no staff there.
- Kevin (10/5): Amazing! - Amazing room and pool, we love it, esay check-in process
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Wonderful experience! Nice big, clean and spacious hotel! Plenty of restaurants and shopping around the hotel! The hotel is on the beach and to wake up on the ocean side is breathe taken. It’s is a must stay hotel! Can’t wait to go back.
