• Heena (6/5): - Enjoyed the prime location and rice fields. It’s nearby market area as well as ubud palace! The bike rides were amazing and staff was friendly. Some feedback on room hygiene since we were staying with our toddler that we expected the towels to be exchanged by new ones if we keep them on floor indicating they needed to be replaced, but it wasn’t done till we informed about it to the staff. Secondly, the bed and amenities were of low quality. The bed used to shake a lot while sleeping, impacting our sleep. Since one of the low quality shower gel container got broke accidentally, they charged the brand new price though it already had cracks and we felt cheated due to the same. Basic amenities such as tooth brush, water bottle were chargeable as well. Breakfast was feat however we could have healthier options instead of instant noodles everyday for vegetarians. Appreciate the staff taking time to cook and ride us. We got to listen from the manager about how he is being hospitable by serving our son breakfast though it was already included in the package when we asked him if the broken container price could be negotiated since it was already used and is of lower quality on our last day. It was a little unprofessional. Overall it is good for 1-2 day stay and has 3 star decent experience because of the bike access and view but it lacks 4 star amenities

The house is spacious with a nice garden and surrounded by rice fields The villa is old and furniture outdated. Also the appliances and kitchen gears are old and overused. Cleanliness should be much improved. Towels did not look clean and fresh. Hair in the beds. The quality of the breakfast is poor. The villa is not reachable by car and this is not clearly stated on booking. The scooter service for guests is ending at 9.30 pm (too early if you want enjoy a bit more Ubud nights).

• Paul (10/5): A beautiful villa with beautiful staff! - The Satori Villas arranges a driver to pick you up from the airport in Denpasar for a reasonable cost (if you wish). It takes about 2.5 - 3 hours to get to Ubud by car, depending on traffic. When you arrive in Ubud, the Satori Villas staff meet you at the carpark and take you on motorbike to the villas. Your luggage is taken separately by a bike which has a luggage rack on the back. No cars are allowed in the area. The location is beautiful. It's in the countryside surrounded by rice fields but it is not too far from the centre of Ubud. You can walk there or the staff can take you by motorbike. We tended to walk back and forth most of the time as it is good exercise. The area is also very quiet and you are surrounded by the sounds of birds and frogs - very relaxing. The staff cook you a delicious breakfast every morning. You chose what you would like from the menu. I enjoyed the nasi goreng, the omelettes and the fresh fruit smoothies. For dinner we often dined at the Jumanis Kitchen which is just a very short walk from Satori Villas. The food is delicious, great servings and very cheap. The vegetarian spring rolls are to die for! It's so nice to sit outside and enjoy your meal in a quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud centre. We stayed in the three-bedroom 'Villa Santana', which is very spacious. We would have liked to have picked up the entire villa and taken it home with us to live in. The beds were very comfortable and we slept very well every night. We enjoyed the beautiful 10 x 4 metre pool. In the evenings, it was nice to sit outside on the comfortable outdoor setting or around the pool area enjoying the quietness of the area. Thank you to Wayan Sida (manager) for making us feel so welcome and also to all of the beautiful staff members who were so friendly and kind. You made our first trip to Ubud very memorable. We hope to visit you again very soon. Nothing really, everything was brilliant. Although on arrival, it would be nice if there were some milk in the fridge so that you could make a cup of tea or coffee after a long day's travel. You did have milk the next day, which was left after your first breakfast.

• Hanh (10/5): The best first impression of Bali - Highly recommend Satori Villas for honeymooners, travelers who want luxury accommodation without sacrificing being close to Ubud center, and ladies who worried about shower water ruining their hair and skin. It’s perfectly located in the center of Ubud but removed from the hustle and bustle. It’s situated on a green belt of rice fields that no cars are allowed in but it’s less than 10 mins leisure scenic walk or 3 mins scooter ride and you’re in the midst of shopping, restaurants, and massages. Aside from using drivers for day tours away from Ubud, we didn’t need to use grab or gojek during our stay to get around. The villa has a water filtration system so water is safe for drinking, showering, teeth brushing, hair washing, etc. The property only has 5 villas with 1,2,3,4 bedrooms. You can rent one or multiple for big group. Prior to arrival, a concierge will text you on whatsapp and help with anything you need. Unlike big hotels and resort, they do not up charge for services booked thru them, the price is the same if you arranged it for yourself. For example, pickup from airport to Ubud was 350k. Driver stopped for me to exchange money, have lunch midway. Masseuses came to the villa cost the same as going to the spa (and they were amazing! we loved doing this after the kids went to bed as we could get couple massages without having to leave the kids by themselves) Laundry service is 30k/kg, etc. Concierge also helped with making restaurant reservations so I didn’t have to put down my credit card. The moment we walked into our villa, I can feel the stress from the travels and traffic melted away. The sound of birds chirping and the view of lush rice fields instantly put us in vacation mode. The immaculately clean and well maintained villa with tasteful Balinese decor made us feel right at home. But what I LOVE most about this place is the staff and the level of service, they are very accommodating to any requests you have.

I spent my 70th Birthday there with family and I will always remember it. If you are looking for something special then these are the villas to choose. We booked Serena and Santana right next door to each other. You won't regret booking these. Oh and also, they have filtration system installed so that all tap water is drinkable. Thank you to Wayan and the rest of the staff. Nothing at all. Everything was superb.

If it’s nature and a sense of calm and authentic Balinese hospitality is what you are looking for then Satori Villas is definitely the place for you. Cars are not able to drop you and your luggage off at the front door but don’t let that put you off. Ketut and the crew will pick you up from the Ubud car park in their scooters to escort you to the villa which is a short ride away. We were well looked after by Ketut, Aryu and and Noyma. So friendly and always willing to help with a smile. Highly recommend.

The staff are amazing, it is out of the busyness of Ubud town but just a short walk along a peaceful laneway to the property and you can be collected by motorbike at the main road if you don't feel like walking. Banana villa was clean and spacious and the breakfast delicious. Wayan and Ketut go above expectations in looking after their guests.

• Neil (10/5): A beautiful relaxing place to stay. - This is a beautiful, beautiful villa that is so peaceful and very well appointed. The view across the rice paddies from the central courtyard and pool are delightful. The villa is far enough away from the centre of Ubud to feel like you are well out of the hustle and bustle and close enough (10 mins walk) to get into town to eat and shop. We spent five days here with our two children and their partners and our 14 month old grand daughter and loved it. We really appreciated Satori Villas organising a bamboo pool fence for us to hire so we didn't need to be as concerned about her crawling into the pool. The staff are so friendly and accomodating and the breakfasts cooked in the Villa kitchen brilliant - fruit, juice, toast and a choice of eggs, pancakes and nasi or mie goreng. We will be back for sure!! Can't think of a thing.

• Alyssa (9/5): We loved Satori Villa's and Ubud and would absolutely recommend and return. - The hosts were extremely accommodating and friendly. They promptly answered any messages and were able to arrange scooter transport to and from town multiple times. They also arranged massage services, cooked delicious breakfasts and made a private family dinner for us one evening. The Villa was picturesque and comfortable and the location allowed for a rural experience of the rice paddies. Only if I was being very picky could I find anything to say...Some of the beds were slightly less comfortable and the rooms were quite light for sleeping.

The property pool is good and we had loads of fun with kids. We didn’t have blankets on days one, toothbrush/toothpaste were not provided on any of the e days, towels weren’t provided in sufficient quantity; the property is very good but not well maintained. The in room Balinese massage was good, the scrub, the manicure and padicure were exhorbitantly expensive and lasted for only 5 minutes.
• Roszalina (10/5): THE BEST PLACE to stay in UBUD central. - This was such a WOW place. Amazing and authentic from start to finish. We were picked up from Central Parking Ubud by Pak Wayan Sida and the housekeepers on motorbikes! We were a group of 10 with small kids and initially were worried about safety but Pak Wayan and team were so skillful and careful! Plus it was a short and pleasant 3-4minutes on the bikes to the villas which were tucked into the padi fields of Juwuk Manis. Every time we needed to go out, Pak Wayan and team will happily send us out to Ubud Central (4 minutes bike ride!) and it was soooo lovely a bike ride that all the kids kept asking for rides :) The villas were also so beautiful! We were in Villa Solera (3 bedroom) and Villa Serena (2 bedroom). Views of the padi fields, very cute ducks and even cows! The breakfast tables overlook these fields and it was simply perfect!! Also..the rate came with a massive in-house breakfast spread cooked fresh by the team every morning (see picture!!!!) The food was halal and the fried rice & noodles were just delicious!! Oh my goodness, we loved this place so much! So very thankful we booked it! They have a dedicated site at https://satorivillasbali.com/ but I booked through Booking.com because it was a much simpler process and a better rate :) After booking, the villa will set up a concierge WhatsApp chat with you to arrange for all your arrival needs and to answer any further queries :) Just wonderful! It was perfection. The only thing is, the bike rides by Pak Wayan and team stop at 9.30pm so for people who intend to stay out late in Ubud, you have to find a Gojek bike to bring you in. Which shouldn't be a problem! :)

(10/5): Exquisite villa with fabulous staff in beautiful Green Zone, yet close to Ubud centre, felt very safe, great for familie - Very peaceful location overlooking rice paddies, close to Ubud centre and good warungs. The staff at Satori were wonderful! (Suksma 🙏 Ketut, Wayan, Putu and Akr!) They prepared exceptional daily breakfasts, arranged in house massages and provided scooter shuttles to and from town when needed. We enjoyed the walk to Ubud centre which is paved but there is a steep incline which may be challenging for some people. We are a family of 5 (including 3 adult children) the Villa was very clean and had plenty of space for everyone. All bedrooms have a/c, mosquito nets and filtered water is replaced daily in all bathrooms. Air conditioned living areas were spacious, with comfy lounges, nice decor, fresh flowers and could be fully enclosed, so no problem with Mosquitos. Beautiful infinity pool and gardens. Kitchen included a Large filtered Aqua water dispenser and affordable minibar. Meal options available too on request. Umbrellas, sunscreen and insect repellent a bonus. Would highly recommend Satori Banana Villa 💕Loved everything about Satori Banana. Accessibility might be an issue for some people - no car access for last 400m but paved path and scooter shuttles provided.

The villa is perfectly situated a short walk from the main area of ubud but is so serene and quiet. The staff were exceptional as was the breakfast. Could not fault it. Definitely the best spot to stay when visiting ubud. Nothing. Everything was fabulous.

• arvind (6/5): - The location of the villa was right in the middle of the rice fields which was amazing. Just that during our stay dates the harvest was done and therefore it’s was not green. The staff was fantastic always helping, pickup to and from the villas via scooters was great. @Santana the top bathrooms had a drain issue and the water from the bath area was overflowing to the toilet area making it uncomfortable. The villa is old and not luxurious as shown in pictures.

• T Crain (10/5): Beauty in Ubud - Ketut. Putu and Wayan collected our bags on arrival with a luggage scooter. We walked on a short distance and arrived at our 4 bedtroom villa over looking the rice fields and beautiful pool. We were blown away on how beautiful the gardens rooms and each outside beautiful rain shower cubicle was for each room. Every morning a beautiful breakfast selection was cooked with fresh justices and toast and jam by the staff. I would highly recommend staying here for at least 5 days. We stayed two it wasn't long enough. Absolutely nothing.

• Melinda (10/5): A sanctuary within arms reach of Ubud central - Satori villas are located in the middle of the green belt rice fields in Ubud, where you can watch farmers working in the rice fields from our balcony. It is a really special location but still very central to the main streets of Ubud (10 mins walk). As a family of four we stayed in the 2 bedroom villa. It was huge! The two bedrooms and two bathrooms were located upstairs, and downstairs was a large loungeroom, kitchen, separate seating area and another toilet. French doors opened up onto a verandah with a large outdoor dining table that overlooked the gorgeous pool! Our teenagers loved using the motorbike service to go to town and back (even though we could walk!). The staff and service were incredible. Our breakfast was cooked for us daily in our villa, with many options to choose from and toast, juice, coffee and fruit accompanied every meal. We also enjoyed a great dinner at the villa restaurant next door (sister restaurant to Dolci Arancia in Ubud). The pizza and pasta was straight out of Italy! The rice field walk is right outside the villa and takes you along the river and then into town. There are some lovely places to stop for coffee or food along the way, overlooking the rice fields. It is incredibly peaceful. We also walked to Campuhan Ridge walk from the villa and walked several times into Ubud central to Jl Monkey Forest Jl Raya Ubud. I highly recommend Satori villas as a central place to stay in Ubud. It is like you are in a whole different world staying among the rice fields with no cars able to access the area. But you are still very close to town.
• Katherine (10/5): Absolutely beautiful place to stay - would definitely stay again when back in Ubud - The villas are set in the most peaceful and beautiful location, surrounded by rice fields and ducks. Super lovely setting. The staff are so friendly and helpful, the villas are approx 5 mins along a path from the main hustle of Ubud - it’s a very pretty walk but they will gladly run you in on their scooters with a moments notice. We are a family of 5 with 3 kids (2,5,7) they loved these scooter rides very much! The staff cook a delicious breakfast each morning in your villa, at a time that suits you. The service was wonderful and again, so friendly. The pool was a hit with our kids, spending hours in it each day. The area is also really beautiful to wander around. There are a few ants around but they didn’t bother us, very much expected in rural locations.

We enjoyed being located away from center, it was ideal for walks in the rice paddies! There’s a daily shuttle service via scooter to get downtown Ubud in no time. The staff was amazing and kind! They helped us with various requests and also helped with booking transportation. Highly recommend! There was some kind of bat doing noise outside on the roof. We couldn’t do anything about it since it showed up only at night and no sound during the day. Sounds of nature! ;-)

• Pernilla (9/5): - The Santana villa at the Satori villas complex was exactly what we were looking for - spacious, in the outskirts of Ubud, right next to rice fields. The pictures on the Satori villa onsite is a good representation of the villa. Good to know is that there was some 100 meters where you cannot drive a car which the hotel informs about on their web site and in your booking confirmation. But the staff is very helpful and offers to transport you to/from Ubud centrum by motor bikes whenever you want (and the same with your luggage when arriving). We preferred walking to Ubud centrum which only took around 10-15 minutes. Before you arrive they send you much helpful information about things like Visa and hotel car service from the airport. The villa had all you need if you want to cook for yourself. But if you book breakfast like we did you not only get really nice fresh fruit but also get to choose between things like Nasi Goreng, banana pancakes or toast which the staff come and cook for you in the villa in the morning. You send your breakfast order and other requests via a WhatsApp group to the staff which is very convenient. Since the villa is right next to rice fields and nature there will be birds, frogs, lizards and ants in your surroundings, and occasional roosters sounding from the nearby farm houses. But as said - for us this was only part of experiencing the true Bali. We ordered car service from and to the airport via the Satori villas which worked very good even if we got delayed arriving. We also hired a driver for a full day from the same car service to visit different sites in Bali. Our driver Wayan was very service minded and gave suggestions for our trips, for example to a water fall with much fewer people, and he even shared stories about Bali, the culture and way of living - to be honest this was one of our highlights of our Bali trip. One of our A/Cs was malfunctioning with dripping water into one of the closets.

The house overall is a bit worn out: windows don’t close properly, rooms are not dark at night shower are not fully functioning. Breakfast was average. Also, Unfortunately they had just harvested the rice fields before we arrived so we had a view on muddy fields but that’s just the cycles of nature :)
