- Nguyễn (8/5): - Location is very convenient, just a short walk from Sakuragawa Station, and it’s easy to access the city center from there. The host was extremely helpful and assisted me with extending my stay.
There’s also a list of the host’s recommended places in Osaka — I followed it, and everything was great. There were some snoring guests, so I recommend preparing earplugs to avoid the noise.
- Emile (10/5): -
- Radoslav (10/5): - The staff, location and general state of the property were amazing.

- Nasraoui (10/5): Good days - Is good hostel
- Koonce (9/5): Would definitely stay here again; the price and vibes were SO good! - Everyone was very friendly! The drinks were really good too! Everything was clean and comfortable. It was a little difficult to get into my bed on the top bunk.

Facilidad de auto check in.

- Or (10/5): Exceptional - Location and asthetic
- Niek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lathavit (8/5): Very good -
- Atreyu (8/5): Very good - Great location, couple minutes walk from the subway, very clean, nice facilities and small kitchen area I’m not a fan of the electronic check in, hardly ever saw anyone working there and made it feel less welcoming than if there was someone there to say hi and talk to
- Seonghee (7/5): Good -
- Ben (6/5): Not the most comfy but great for socializing and travelling budget friendly ! Overall, I recommend. - The staff was friendly and I met a lot of cool people ! great for socializing. The space is quite small and intricate, it's not so practical and small space to put your luggage.
- Akaporn (10/5): Exceptional - Second time 👍🏼 Nice🩷
- Abby (6/5): There’s probably better options - Location was good, right near the metro but also very walkable to everywhere we went if you’re willing to go the distance! Nice restaurants nearby.
Staff were friendly and helpful. The dorm rooms barely class as rooms, each floor is a dorm room with a sliding door to the stairs. There is a very thin corridor of space to walk up and down the room to the beds, with no storage space so you’re then also trying to climb over everyone’s bags and it was also very difficult to get anything out without always being in someone’s way.
Most people there were nice, although we had a lot of issues with people talking very loudly post 2300, making phone calls and just waking people up. The sliding door was never really shut properly and there was no sound proofing between the floors so you just had to listen to everyone’s conversations in the kitchen!
We stayed for 3 nights and I don’t think I slept much at all, definitely affected our trip.
- Harry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Orczy (9/5): Superb - nice staff, great location. If the window is open the highway can be disturbing.
- Lara (10/5): Comfortable apartment with balcony with cool view - A lovely clean apartment with balcony. Very good value with comfortable beds. Excellent bakery and a cute coffee shop beside the apartment.
- Ella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Caroline (3/5): Would not recommend. - Fairly good location (close to train lines and an easy walk to Namba and Dotonbori), staff who greeted me was nice and spoke great English. This is one of the most uncomfortable hostel rooms I have ever stayed in.
Safety: I was put in the dorm room on the first floor. There was ABSOLUTELY NO LOCK on the door out to the street. Anybody could open up the sliding door and literally walk right into the dorm. There isn't even a genkan inside the room; you take your shoes off outside- on the street- and leave them there. I found this all totally insane- how hard is it to just install a keypad? Or even a padlock? As a woman, I have been followed back to hostels in Japan before- what if that had happened here?
The room: Smelled majorly like feet. But more importantly, while the toilet is in a separate room, the sink is IN the dorm proper, and was right at the foot of my bed. Whenever anyone used the restroom in the night or brushed their teeth, the noise of the sink would wake me up. There was also little to no room to store luggage (and no secure place to put it).
The beds: In the pictures on the listing, they look to be sturdy wooden frames. This is misleading. The beds on the first floor are flimsy metal frames. If the person above/below you moves at all, the entire bunk shakes and creaks. Also, the curtains around each bed are very thin and let in a lot of light. The bed itself is very thin and cheap as well. It is very difficult to sleep well here.
The overall hostel layout: There is a bar on the second floor (which seemed lovely, FWIW). This means that there is very loud conversation and noise directly above your head well past midnight if you're on the first floor. Also, the showers are on the third floor; to get there and back, you have to walk THROUGH the bar, which is a minor detail, but I thought it was pretty weird.
Overall, it was noisy, smelly, and made me feel unsafe. I have been to cheaper hostels in this area of Osaka that were way better than this; would not recommend this one to anyone.
- Jhovanny (7/5): Good location -
- Bridget (8/5): Very good - A good location and price, staff were nice and it felt clean. A little noisey in the bottom bedroom beacuse you could hear footsteps from the bar upstairs, but the rooms on the 3rd floor and up were quieter.
- Josh (10/5): Amazing - Comfortable, good location and excellent staff ( yoji is a legend! ) 10/10 recommend staying here and will be returning on my next visit.
- Mika (9/5): Great! - Near to Kyocera Dome, friendly staff, nice bar, cozy atmosphere Nothing
- Ngundu (7/5): It's good value for money and located in a good place and close to a station. -
- Yu (8/5): Very good - The staff were amazing The location was a bit out of the ways
- Radu (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amber (5/5): Passable -
- Tal (1/5): Bad -
- Matthew (10/5): Excellent experience with a casual and friendly vibe - Really nice and friendly people, specially the hosts we had during our stay. They have a bar open towards the end of the week that’s always fun,
- Boris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shumpei (1/5): Bad experience. - I checked in on the midnight,I don’t know how to open the door, and bad smell ,dirty. then I give up there ,find other hotel on the internet.so bad experience.
- Akaporn (10/5): Exceptional - So friendly
- Kai (8/5): Very good -
- Kelvin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Svenja (7/5): Lovely, but not so much sleep - The atmosphere is wonderful as well as the location!! I immediately felt welcomed and the stuff was helpful in every concern I had.
They even were so friendly to let me change my bed 💙 I couldn‘t sleep very well as the dorm is quite loud: there are two staircases and not every room has a door, so if people aren‘t quiet or don’t close the doors, you hear the kitchen sounds , the washroom sounds or the people walking the stairs…
Also the rooms have windows with no blinds, so the lights woke me up even with the curtains at my bed being closed.
- Tanguy (6/5): Pleasant -
- Tajima (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diane (9/5): Great value, great people, nice staying - The hostel is well equipped, nice, not too huge and the location is correct Nothing, was perfect!
- Rhiannan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (8/5): Very good - Great staff and location. Too many bunkbeds crammed into such a small space. There’s absolutely nowhere to open up your luggage to sew through your things nor to sit down. One of the bunkbeds should be taken out to give at least a little bit of space.
Because there is no staff at the hostel during the day lockboxes should be provided for luggage. Should you arrive and want to leave your luggage while you go out and see the city.
- Noa (9/5): Superb - The stuff was amazing- friendly, good English, good conversations. Especially Chi. The hostel really gives a home vibe and provides good opportunities to meet other travellers. Very good location. Beds a bit not comfy, and there are only two toilets and shower. But really, it's nothing in comparison to what you get!
- Rachel (5/5): Passable -
- Tan (2/5): Very poor -
- Mika (6/5): - 繁華街ではないが駅近で、オートロック式なので到着が遅くなっても大丈夫。鍵付きロッカーは無いのでスーツケースは持っていくべきでした。海外の方が多いので慣れている人にはお勧めです。
- Benedikt (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (10/5): The best Hostel/Guest House in Osaka, maybe of Japan. The location is just one trainstaiten to Namba and Dottonbori. - the location and especially the people there.
- Tolga (9/5): Superb -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good - great location, cheap and easy to access, great for solo travel.
- Alice (7/5): Good -
- Stephane (9/5): Superb - Personal very kind.
Very good located place. Not far from namba and subway direct in the corner.
- Venezia (8/5): Very good - The guest house is really well situated, only one stop away from Nanban or a 20-minute walk. Alex is a great guy who kept giving us good recommendations and would chats with us guests. Would definitely recommend it.
- Andre (3/5): Poor - Friendly vibes. It smelled and felt quite dirty, also really far away from everything.
- Ivan (8/5): Very good - The staff and the atmosphere in the hostel was great, so much so that I came back later. It was very homely and pleasent. The place was dirty and seemed run down. Upon entering the premises I was met with a strange smell and messy hallway that made me, at first, question my choice and the ratings.
- Kazuyoshi (5/5): Passable -
- Anke (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jean (9/5): Superb -
- Maria (10/5): Great for every way, would highly recommend. - The location is great, easy to travel to anywhere from let it be in osaka or to the close cities for day trips. You can walk for most of the famous spots in osaka and finding anything you need won't ever be a problem. For the hostel itself, it's clean, really homey, beds are comfy and it's generally easy to always make friends over there while still having your own leg room and choice for privacy. The host I can't recommend enough and for over all I have now stayed at the location for couple of times and never have had a single bad experience in there. I have no complains what so ever.
- Ali (10/5): Exceptional - The manager Alex was exceptionally hospitable and had great recommendations, overall stellar experience!
- Margarita (6/5): Pleasant - the person in charge: Alex super The restroom on different floor as the room.
Only 2 restrooms (luckily few people as I was there)
The rooms not spacious, (natural) air missing
- Callum (8/5): Very good - Alex is a great guy with lots of good suggestions and info.
It's also about 20 minutes walk away from the centre and the train stations are just around the corner.
- Hakan (10/5): Exceptional - great location, great friends, great times
- Carlos (7/5): Good -
- Peter (10/5): Best hostel in Osaka - The environment was nice. Thanks Alex for accommodating me and also for the advice where to go to Osaka to eat or to drink. None
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good - Alex was lovely.
- Lucasviseur (10/5): My best stay so far in Japan - - close to Namba and metro stations
- staff will do as much as they can for you
- friendly bartender…
- Elia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elisabeth (7/5): Good - Alex is very friendly and replies quickly to messages. There wasn’t a lot of space in the dorms and with the luggage of everybody it was like Slalom to go around.
I booked a bed in a female dorm but actually every dorm is mixed there.
