- Peter (10/5): Place where every guest matters - I am not sure where to start. The host was a really great guy who took care of us from the beginning to the end. Right at the check-in, he asked us if we needed a scooter and drove us to a very affordable place. He cleaned the rooms daily, and it was spotless. He even gave us ride to a ferry terminal after checking out. We will be coming back one day! Nothing comes to my mind

- Cook (8/5): - We stayed at Ong’s Homestay and had a truly wonderful experience. The owner was extremely pleasant, attentive, and made sure our room was cleaned every single day. The room was very spacious with strong AC and a balcony that was perfect for drying clothes and enjoying the warm outdoor air. The location was also ideal close to Kuah, food, and shopping, making it convenient for getting around. The only drawback is that there is a dog rescue center directly beside the homestay. I’m a heavy sleeper, so I didn’t hear the dogs at night, but my spouse, who is a light sleeper, did notice the barking during the night. Thankfully, nights were quiet and restful. Overall, for the price and comfort, this place is an excellent budget-friendly stay. We would still highly recommend it, especially if you'd like to support a hardworking local host running his own small Airbnb-style accommodation.

- Alexandra (7/5): Nice hotel for a short stay - + really comfy beds + spacious room with a fridge, kettle, good A/C, and a safe + decent curtains + nice host who kindly drove us to the nearby bike rental shop when we arrived. this bike rental shop is very affordable and they have bikes starting at 25RM per day + daily room clean + within 10-30 mins of everything on a bike + 5 min walk from a 24hr convenience store and self-service laundry where you could have a wash load clean and dry within an hour - would not be the ideal location for people who cannot rent a bike or car - hotel is right next door to a loud dog kennel housing 10-15 dogs. though we are huge dog people, they cried and barked regularly throughout the day and night and we often heard them fighting. this meant that even though the room was set up for a decent nights sleep due to the comfy bed and good curtains, the dogs woke us up many times for four nights straight so we ended up very tired by the end of our four nights there. this would ideally be highlighted before paying for the room although I understand that doing so would be bad for business

- Adeoluwa (4/5): Fair - we spent more time away from the accommodation due to desolate area. - Size of the room was great and WIFI with good strength. Fresh towels provided and toiletries provided daily Location was too far from the beach, the ensuite is a box room with no demarcation between the toilet and shower. So the toilet was always wet. No expeller in the bathroom- small window. A kettle with no tea supplies., TV didn't work - no channels to watch.
- Pamela (9/5): Lovely helpful host in a clean spacious room - The room was spacious, clean, and a nice shower & bathroom. I appreciated the fridge & kettle and bottles of water The owner was very helpful, kind, and they cleaned the room each day, with new towels. The AC worked very nicely, with a quiet mode to sleep comfortably. There was a balcony (view of mountain), a laundromat & mini-mart nearby which were very convenient. A scooter rental place & some cheap local food is also about a 10min walk away. It was far from the beaches, you need a scooter to get around or get a Grab taxi which can become expensive. The house next door has many dogs (like a dog kennel for rescue dogs) and they make a lot of noise & the people shout at them a lot (very sad).

- George (8/5): Recommended - Ong's homestay has many rooms and there is a front porch for parking. This place is not ideal if you have no car to travel around the area. Mr Ong is very friendly and it is still a good place to stay if you wish to be centrally located near Kuah Town.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Aufmerksamer Gastgeber - Sehr großes sauberes Zimmer, mit großem Balkon, sehr ruhig gelegen. Etwas abseits vom Trubel, was uns jedoch sehr gut gefiel. Kleine Läden, Lokale und Warungs mit leckerem Essen in Fußnähe. Mr. Ong ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen. Danke für alles!
