• Vittoria (9/5): A great stay in the heart of Condesa - As many travelers said already, the location is really great, in a very safe area in the heart of Condesa and really close to Roma Norte. I also liked the guard that would open the door for you, thus making it even safer as no one can enter if they’re not a guest. The whole place was very clean and in the bathroom we had complementary shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion. The terrace was really nice to start the day with a nice breakfast outside. We had the junior suite and we liked a lot the fact that it had a sort of separate area for the closet and just to leave your stuff, while the bed was separate - and super comfortable by the way! While I read a lot of great comments about breakfast, for us it was a bit plain in the taste, however we understand it might be done on purpose to be on the safer side with many people and different tastes.

• Elizabeth (10/5): Great place to stay in Condesa - The building is a lovely listed art deco construction which means there is no permission for lifts or a/c. This is not a problem if you don’t mind stairs ;-) The staff are professional and courteous and the superior suite is very spacious and comfortable. The beds are comfy although not huge, and the shower has great pressure! Breakfast is served on the pretty rooftop with freshly cooked Mexican options too. The area is safe and has a very cosmopolitan feel, near a shady park perfect for walks. Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Very small niggles! The hangers in the wardrobe are uncomfortably high up! And there is some noise in the interior courtyard from machinery - not sure what exactly, but it’s not constant.

• Andrew (8/5): A boutique hotel in a wonderful neighborhood, but not a room that you wanted to spend extra time in. - Casa Decu is a boutique hotel in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Mexico City. The room was reasonably spacious and the bed was comfortable. The neighborhood is spectacular. A great place for walking. The room was not well-laid out and while not small, it was definitely not cozy. The lighting in the living room section was not particularly good either.

• 380malinid (4/5): Not for us! - We stayed at Casa Decu in Mexico City in April 2026. We had originally planned to stay three nights but decided to leave after the first night. The room lacked some basic amenities—we did not have central air/heat or even a ceiling fan for air circulation. The layout was also quite tight: the bedroom was almost entirely taken up by the bed, with very little additional space. There was a small outer area with a closet and some furniture (no coffee-maker), but it didn’t offset how cramped the main room felt. The only window had no screen and could be seen into from the staircase, so we had to keep it closed at night for privacy, which made the room feel even more closed in. The bathroom was also quite small. We also found the response from the front desk disappointing. There was no hot water in the sink, and although we reported it the same evening, we were told it would only be looked into the next day at 10am, which did not feel like an appropriate response. The hotel is spread across four floors and does not have an elevator, and the stairs are quite steep. This could be challenging if you have large luggage or prefer to avoid frequent trips up and down stairs. On a positive note, the breakfast terrace was lovely, which is why we’re giving two stars instead of one. Overall, this hotel just wasn’t the right fit for us.

• Janis (1/5): We booked another hotel after 1 night. Lost our money. - If you love a room that is the same size as the bed, you’ll love this place. No chair, no desk, no place to open your suitcase, no problem, this is the place for you. It’s advertised as a junior suite, so if you like a surprise when you find it’s the furthest thing from the description and flown hours to get there, you’re in luck. Deceitful advertising

Breakfast included was terrible, only had some bread, fruits and yoghurt, you have to pay extra for the real breakfast which is overpriced. The room itself is not a very nice place to be in, it gives a cold feel and the furniture is dusty.

Great location on side street, right by lots of green space and restaurants. Our suite was very spacious and comfortable, but sound does carry from courtyard. It was a great deal pricewise. I found the breakfast delicious, and the chefs were always happy to accommodate my requests. My room was more spacious than I’d imagined, and the bed was very comfortable. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the staff at reception were always friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend it, and I hope to return on my next trip.

• Hiten (4/5): Very disappointed and won’t be returning or recommending. - Very poor, coffee was bitter. Fruit was the best part. Children’s cereal and the bread wasn’t great The room was quite small, no where to put your make up on. The sink in the bathroom only had cold water and got blocked. Told staff member, was told it would be fixed but never happened. Every morning without fail someone came to drop something off and made such a lot of noise we were woken up every morning at 5am.

• julian (8/5): hotel was great for what we needed - breakfast very good if you want to pay more. the standard breakfast was ok booked a room with a terrace. it was tiny with 2 chairs on the ground floor. the 4 walls going up 4 levels. more like somewhere you get sent as a punishment. definitely don't go for rooms with a terrace on the ground floor. would have liked a kettle in the room as going up the 4 flights of stairs then along to the kitchen for hot water was a little annoying. fridge and basic kitchen all there....No Kettle! seems mad to me.

Just a shower with a toilet squeezed behind the door. Not for big people . Would have preferred room on a higher floor with more light.
• Sabine (9/5): Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit gutem Frühstück in zentraler Lage - Das Zimmer war schön und das Bett sehr bequem. Das Frühstück auf der schönen Dachterrasse war toll. Auch sehr gute Lage nahe der Avenida Amsterdam. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Obwohl das Hotel in einer sehr ruhigen Straße liegt, war es nachts recht laut, weil die Räumlichkeiten sehr hellhörig sind. Die ganze Nacht gab es Geräusche im Treppenhaus oder auf der Dachterrasse (unser Zimmer lag im 4. Stock direkt darunter).

• Alvaro (9/5): Stay during end of February - A nice art deco building a littld bit hidden. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We had room 205, junior suite. It has two rooms, one room for luggage and one bedroom. The bedroom is almost full with the bed. The bedroom was very quiet. The suite has no windows to the street, it has windows to a quiet space. The room can be made nicely dark for sleeping. The bathroom with quite large shower was very nice. Please be aware that the breakfast is served on the rooftop (4th floor) with no elevator. For us it was nice, but if you have any medical condition please check. Please also consider that the hotel is not having full size air conditioning installed. There are supplemenary heaters and ventilators available in the room, but we didn't have to use them. -

Lack of daylight in rooms below roof level; lack of sound proofing. Our room was not avail at checkin time, but still we were asked to pay extra fees for checking out 45 min later than the official time.

• Mary Ellen (8/5): Great location and spacious clean comfortable room in Condesa. - The location in Condesa was walking distance to many great restaurants, cafes and bars and felt very safe. The room was spacious, clean and had a great shower with plenty of hot water. Offered a light breakfast with a coffee machine, juice, yogurt and bread. 24h security at the door. Minor shortcomings - sound travelled easily between rooms, they offered filtered water but I think it still gave me GI trouble, would buy bottled in future.

• Mitra (9/5): A spacious and clean place to stay in a beautiful, old Art Deco building in a lovely neighborhood - Beautiful building, great location, lovely and helpful staff! The room was actually more like a small apartment with a living room and kitchenette with a table that could seat 4. The bedroom was a great size with an attached bathroom. We also had a little outdoor courtyard. Great water pressure! Breakfast is available on the roof (fourth floor), and that was a lovely setting. The continental breakfast was free (the usual- granola, yogurt, fresh fruit, bread), but you can also order cooked breakfasts for a reasonable price. Desk service is available 24/7, and the all the staff were super friendly and helpful. They booked us a car to the airport at 6:30am with no issue, and you can pay the hotel directly. Read carefully- this hotel doesn't not have heat or A/C, but they do provide a space heater and a fan. We traveled during the winter and while it wasn't super cold, it was cold enough to use the space heater which was effective. The floors are tile so be prepared for cold feet unless you travel with slippers. The biggest issue was sound- because it's an older building and because of the lovely little courtyards sound carries a bit too effectively. So, it's easy to hear people above you using their bathrooms and having conversations. We were lucky- while we were there, no one was being rude or super loud, but sound DOES carry.

• Angels (6/5): Aceptable - La ubicación del hotel es buena y también la amabilidad de todas las personas que nos atendieron durante nuestra estancia. Nos quedamos en una de las suites, en la que se sentía un fuerte olor de baño. La cama era demasiado blanda y a las 5 de la mañana empezaban a mover cosas en la terraza (que nos quedaba justo encima), por lo que se acababa el descanso. La iluminación también es mejorable.
• Susan (8/5): I was delighted with the location and would recommend. - Casa Decu is in a great location in Condesa. It's close to several charming parks and lots of good restaurants. Staff are friendly and helpful. It's clean and well maintained, and there's a complimentary breakfast on the roof. I was on the first floor so didn't have to climb the stairs, except for going to the roof for breakfast. There is no elevator, a important thing to note for anyone with a disability. As others have said, you can hear people on the stairway or in nearby rooms - it's quite loud.

Solicitamos inmediatamente un cambio de habitación, pero se nos informó que no había disponibilidad. Dado que decidimos no continuar la estancia, pedimos un reembolso total o parcial. Inicialmente, el recepcionista se negó a comunicar la situación al manager, indicando que no estaba autorizado y sin ofrecer una solución alternativa. Tras insistir durante más de 30 minutos, finalmente accedió a enviarle un mensaje explicando el caso y, posteriormente, el importe fue reembolsado. Finalmente, nos hospedamos en el Sofitel de Reforma por aproximadamente 1.000 dólares, donde recibimos un servicio y unas comodidades claramente acordes al precio. Esta comparación refuerza nuestra percepción de que el precio del primer establecimiento no está justificado por la calidad ni por los servicios ofrecidos. En conclusión, no corresponde con el standing anunciado ni con la tarifa aplicada

• Naila (8/5): - Casa Decu has a great location in La Condesa with a lot of restaurants and cafes as well as shopping within walking distance. Friendly staff. Clean rooms. For a junior suite the room just had enough space for a king size bed and two bed side tables. There was a small hallway/entrance area where the closet was. There were only the very basic amenities - no slippers, no razors, nothing was available when we had asked for it. Was quite surprising for a 4 star hotel. What was most unpleasant was that the hotel offered airport pick up at AICM for a much higher fee than registered taxis and uber, yet I had to wait for 10 mins outside of Gate 4 at Terminal 2 where everyone was waiting for their Uber. I raised this with 2 different receptionists to discuss the service provided, I was told they would get back to me as need to check with management. Upon check out I asked again and was told they do not decide and suggested I send an email about the pick up price. This should be handled internally without me having to do anything extra.

• Susan (8/5): I recommend this charming little hotel. - My room was comfy, clean and well laid out. The lighting in the bathroom was insufficient and the lighting in the stairwell made me feel less than safe. The stairs are black and circular and there isn’t enough bright light for me to be sure of my footing. For perspective, I am 69 years old. Also know that there is no elevator, heat or air conditioning. I was very comfortable without, although I would have loved an elevator.
• Tereza (8/5): It was great! - The hotel was nice in terms of being basic and clean, and in a good location. The staff were extremely friendly and they cleaned our room daily. The continental breakfast was okay. We did miss a few of those breakfast as we preferred getting better options. The continental breakfast could have been better.
• Sarah (8/5): We would stay there again and recommend it to friends! - Location was great lots of restaurants close by that were delicious and also offered a variety of styles and prices. Location was great for walking for exercise in the mornings. Felt safe lots of paths to parks. Lights outside the rooms facing the street were on all night, very bright A bit of noise from when the cleaners came in the morning lugging things up the staircase outside our room. A few more options for the free breakfast like cream for coffee.

• Kelly Brooke (8/5): The staff is really so attentive, cares about your comfort and provides wonderful hospitality. - Charming, quaint, unique boutique hotel. Really the only thing I didn’t like is it echoes quite a bit through the walls so you can hear other guests pretty easily and it’s a little noisy at times.
• Armando (8/5): Great hotel and location, it can be a bit noisy - Excellent location, and the facilities are very nice. I particularly liked the water pressure! Noise insulation is not great. I was able to hear all the activity coming from the stairs.

• Benjamin (8/5): Good place to stay, especially if you want somewhere stylish and also in the heart of Condesa. - Pleased to bag a night at Casa Decu after my flight was delayed. Great spot in Condesa and very stylish place to stay. Breakfast on the the roof terrace is a nice touch.

• Nathalie (10/5): Un bel établissement au centre de Mexico City - Les chambres sont très spacieuses et très bien tenues. Le petit déjeuner en terrasse est très sympathique et le personnel très aimable et le quartier très agréable.
• Molli (8/5): I would stay there again - The location, the rooftop breakfast spot I didn't like the way it was lit in the living room of my suite. The weird spotlight lamp was either too aggressive or not giving enough illumination. I had an interior room which was good for peace and quiet but it was under lit. The staff brought up an extra "lamp" which was really just a lightbulb that I could clip on something. It helped a little bit
• Richard (1/5): Hip doesn’t mean Good - Breakfast was cooked to order Plenty of hot water in the shower Everything else. The hotel prides itself on being hip. What exactly do they mean? Bed was small and the mattress was old and lumpy. Very thin walls. You heard every sound in the stairway. Five floors with a circular staircase and no elevator No coffee or tea provided in the room. No hot water kettle. Bathroom was tiny.

• Jennifer (8/5): - I love the location, the staff was all very helpful especially with the stairs and taking our luggage up 4 floors. I didn't like that getting milk for my coffee was so difficult. I didn't like that there wasn't coffee machine in my room.

• Stefan (9/5): I'd love to come back. - The Casa Decu is a wonderful boutique hotel in a prime location in La Condesa. The atmosphere is family-like and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I found the beautiful roof terrace and the excellent showers remarkable. Just minor things... I think it's a shame that there are no toothbrush glasses or toilet brushes. Some rooms have no mirror lighting, so you basically have to get ready in the dark ...

• Vorsilak (10/5): Great and charming peaceful hotel. Would definitely stay here again! - The hotel was a nice quiet respite in the busy city. Modern but charming decor with lighting, furniture and plants. The rooftop terrace was just the best, and the breakfast was a must. Great and friendly staff made it just the ideal place to stay in Condesa! The beds were a bit hard and there’s no A/C, but keeping the windows open created a pleasant cross-breeze.
• Juan Carlos (4/5): Pésima experiencia de descanso - Las instalaciones son muy chulas, el desayuno estaba bien. Teníamos un apartamento con una sola cama, cama “doble” pero mi pareja y yo casi ni cabíamos. Un colchón pésimo, que tenía como 3 sobre colchones encima. Imposible dormir allí de la incomodidad. El baño era una cosa diminuta que costaba entrar y salir.
