Lovely host, so accomodating and generous! Made my stay so amazing! In the middle of main snow resorts and close to bus stop. It can be a bit of a walk if trying to find dinner and food options, however if you catch the bus or hire a car then it is very close and convenient.
• Mitsuko (10/5): 素敵な滞在でした！また絶対に来ます！ - とても綺麗で細かい気配りが利いたスペースでとても心地の良い滞在でした。 何よりもオーナーさんには何から何まで本当にお世話になりました。スノーフェスティバルの影響で何処もスノボレンタル在庫切れ状態の中あちこちに電話をかけて下さり、予約のお手伝いまでして下さりました。それだけに終わらず当日はレンタルショップまでの往復、チェックアウトの日もバスターミナルまでと、何度も何度も送迎をして下さり、移動中は楽しいお話もいっぱい出来て本当に素敵な方でした。 朝食は毎日少しずつ違う内容でとっても美味しい家庭的なお料理でした。基本ビュッフェ形式ですが、それぞれのゲストがダイニングに降りて来てから卵等は一人一人の焼いてくれます。 私達は今回和室のバス共有のお部屋を予約しましたが、お風呂やトイレの利用を待つこともなく、畳の負担もしっかりと厚みのある布団でカナダ人の主人もとてもよく寝れたと気に入っていました。 徒歩数分圏内にスキー場のシャトル2箇所、レストランも色々近くにあるにも関わらず八方辺りよりも落ち着いたエリアなので夏にも来たいなーと思うエリアでした。 Booking .comやGoogleのレビューが大変高いのが納得いくペンションでした。お値段も他に比べてお手頃なのでとてもお勧めです。 無し！

• Emma (10/5): Cosy ski resort b&b with a personal touch! - We loved our stay at Pension R-Azteca. The host was incredibly welcoming. She picked us up from the bus station and gave us a run down of all the tips for the area as soon as we arrived. The rooms and the living space are very cosy and homely. The house has a lovely layout and big windows looking onto the beautiful garden. The big communal spaces make it very friendly and easy to chat to other travellers. A fridge is also provided to keep any goods/snacks you have. We really felt like we were being welcomed into their home. Amenities include a drying room, washing machine and an excellent shower. The beds were super comfortable with lovely warm duvets. Lastly, definitely include breakfast, it changed daily and offered western and Japanese options. It was so delicious and was a great way to start the morning before heading up the mountain. The coffee was local and really excellent. Thank you so much for accommodating us, we can't recommend this place enough! A very small issue for us but perhaps bigger for others, the walls were fairly thin between the rooms. We still slept very well but earplugs are provided in the reception for those more sensitive to sound. There is also only one shower for each male and female so patience is required some evenings. This is more an overall statement for Hakuba, but be prepared to navigate the buses during busy season to get to some of the ski lifts, as well as bookings for the restaurants in Echoland, or just aim for those that take walk ins, go early, and have patience.
• Hnguansungnoen (10/5): - Great place to stay with a very comfortable bed and available parking. There is only one bathroom for men and one for women, but it wasn’t a big issue for us. The host was extremely kind and helpful ! she supported us a lot when we had a car accident and needed to contact the police. We’re very grateful.

She kindly picked us up from and dropped us off at the bus station, and was always willing to assist whenever we had questions. The room was clean and spacious, and the breakfast was hearty and satisfying. We would gladly stay here again when we return to Hakuba in future.
• Christian (10/5): - I really enjoyed my stay here. The host is super friendly, she offered a return lift from happo bus terminal to the pension which was very handy. The place is super cozy and clean, they had a little fire in the common area. Excellent location, just a short 10 minutes walk to echoland and about 25 minutes walk to happo one gondola. I got a discount to rent all the gear and clothes with woody rentals because I was staying here. The gear rental place was 3 minutes walk only. Overall really nice and easy accommodation a friendly atmosphere. Thank you, I’ll be back! :)

• Danny (10/5): Exceptional - The breakfast was 1100 Yen, it has eggs and sausage. Also rice, miso soup, cooked Japanese vegetables, bread, butter, milk, coffee and orange juice. Lady of the house was a warm and friendly host. I stayed in big room with attach toilet. There is a washing machine..no dryer, but some hangers in your room. If there is a coin operated dryer it will be perfect. It was summer so it ia not as full as ski season. The quiet time is from 1030pm to 7am. Maybe this is not enough for some people. Ok for me
• Gil (10/5): Exceptional - Had the best stay here! The shared area is cozy and decorated with lots of football memorabilia, the bed was comfortable and the bathrooms were always clean. The lady running the Pension is incredibly generous and her hospitality was next level. She picked me up from the train station when I arrived, and dropped me off at the station when I left Hakuba. This place definitely made my entire stay in Hakuba worth it.

The beds were really comfortable and the communal areas were cosy and clean. Location was close to a bus stop that went to the main ski mountains. Nothing was wrong with the property. I would recommend looking at the bus time tables in advance as some of the bus shuttles come irregularly.

Definitely recommend! - Great location, it is a short walk to a various bus stops, 711 and restaurants/bars. The owners gave a homely atmosphere and we felt very welcomed. The lady who runs it so sweet and will help you work out shuttles/rental gear and how to get to snow resorts. They are so lovely and even picked us up from the bus stops at night time when we arrived and dropped us off when we were leaving. This was our first time in Hakuba and we would highly recommend staying here if you are coming. It is the best place we have stayed in our Japan trip!

Convenient location, walking distance to Echoland and shuttle buses for all resorts in Hakuba. Cannot recommend this place enough! N/A

• Elijah (10/5): Exceptional - Highly recommend this guest house. Host Kazuko-san was very accommodating and really tries her best to ensure that our stay here is smooth and enjoyable. Breakfast was amazing, it was a homely Japanese style breakfast. Delicious! Location wise it is somewhat far from the slopes but there is a bus stop with shuttle buses just 5 minutes away. Not to mention that there is also a fully decked out 7-11 10 mins away from the accommodation. Kazuko-san picked us up from the Hakuba JR station Room wise, I loved it. I had the Japanese style room and it was the quintessential Japanese room with tatami flooring and futon beds. 10/10 would stay here again! Say hi to Kazuko-san for me!

The property is just around the corner from bus stops to 47 and Goryu. The washing machine is also very handy! Overall such a warm, homely feel. An exceptional stay that we will not forget!

The guesthouse is cozy, with a fireplace that makes the atmosphere even more inviting. There’s even a washing machine available, which is very convenient. The host is always available to answer questions or give us a ride, which is a great bonus. A wonderful encounter that I won’t forget anytime soon. I highly recommend staying here! Pick me up when I arrived at Hakuba and send me to the happo bus station when I leave because I have a big and heavy luggage. And give me snacks in case I am hungry when I was waiting for the bus. I am so touched on what she has done. I will definitely come back !

The shared bathroom was clean and had a good system to use it. A short walk to a few restaurants and to the shuttle bus stop. Location is slightly out of Echoland so approximately 10 min walk into there.

The house has a warm drying room that also has a place for your clothing, so we could ski in dry equipment every day. Even though showers and toilets are shared they’re always clean. The place is really convenient, because it’s located right in the middle between the only convenient shop and all restaurants, so it doesn’t take many time to get to somewhere and it’s quiet there. And also the bus stop for all the ski resorts and railway station is 3 minutes walk. And it has a huge manga library on the first floor, which I really enjoyed. If I go to Hakuba again, I will definitely stay there.

• Andrew (10/5): I'm a regular visitor to Hakuba and this is probably my favourite accommodation in the area so far! - I came to Hakuba alone for a snowboarding trip at the start of the season. The place is very cosy, with warm rooms, and free tea/coffee. The rooms are simple yet spacious with comfortable futons. A drying room is provided to keep wet ski/snowboard equipment overnight. Free shuttle bus stops are withing a few minutes walking distance from the accommodation that can take you to/from most of the ski resorts in the area.
