Guest Reviews
- Irene (6/5): - Dirty, smelly. Don’t stay here
- David (6/5): - I like this place, it is clean but the beds are older and the room is somewhat dated. It’s a throwback motel. It’s clean. Everything works. No ironing board or iron in the room this time, It’s quiet. No complaints For the price, It’s was as expected.
- Robin (2/5): - The lobby is not manned, you need to ring a bell and wait for someone to come and unlock the door. The room was absolutely filthy. Upholstered chairs were very stained, the walls were dirty, the white towels were "yellow" and very, very thin. The dresser looked like it was picked up off the side of the road. The television was smaller than a computer monitor. A floor dehumidifier was plugged into an outlet in the bathroom and it needed to be emptied. The whole room smelt of mold. The bed looked like a roll-away bed, metal frame and all, and was very hard. It felt like a box spring, not a mattress. Website stated there was a pool and playground. There wasn't a playground, but there was a pool. With trees growing in the middle of it. Many rooms had men hanging around outside, we felt very unsafe. We stayed in the room about 10 minutes and then left and found another place to stay. I cannot stress enough how dirty this place was and how unsafe it felt. Expedia should not offer this as an option.
- Michelle (4/5): The pictures of this place is catfishing you. - I checked in and checked out 45 minutes later and found a cleaner and safer hotel. The walls were dirty, the bedspread had holes in it that looked like they were burn holes. Then room had one light on only one side of the room. The rest of the room was dark. The hairdryer was broken, there was no toilet paper holder.
- Timothy (10/5): - Good stay
- Susanne (8/5): - Somewhat dated but a good value for the money.
- Lynda (6/5): - Room was ok; housekeeping cleaned every day, even when it wasn’t needed (no “do not disturb” door hanger); several towels were stained. No one in the office unless you ring the bell. The pool has been out of service for years which makes the property look run down.
- joy (10/5): - great easy place to stay
- Walter (6/5): - Sheets and towels were clean but heavily used having a gray/ yellow tint to them
- Santosh (8/5): - Fowl smell when entered the room. Had to leave the door open for an hour to let the fresh air in.
Bathroom is hige compared to other motels.
Beds are very comfortable. Surprised.
Its ok to stay for a day or two.
- Jennifer (4/5): - Front desk was good at check in. The room was tight. Everything was unplugged. Beds were hard. Outlet in bathroom did not work. Table was wobbly. Fridge smelled. There were stains on the walls. Unable to get regular TV stations. Served its purpose. Was a place to sleep in between long trips of taking son to school in Maine and returning back home. Very very basic- affordable though on a holiday weekend.
- Rosario (10/5): - The área is beautiful with rolling green mountains and fresh water streams and wide river
- Ronald (10/5): - Staff great clean facility easy check in
- Colin (8/5): - It was ok. Paid 81$ but i was expecting a pool because this cite told me it had one. No breakfast. The haunted house next door was neat.
- Jose (10/5): - Clean and hospitable
- Jacob (8/5): - Had a pleasant time! Thank you!!
- Leonardo (2/5): - Place was dirty, room smelled bad mainly because of the carpet. Bed felt like sleeping on the floor.
- Alvin (2/5): - Didn't like it dirty
- Jonathan H (10/5): - Clean orderly and comfortable room. Excellent friendly service from staff.
- Jason (2/5): - This is without a doubt the dirtiest motel I've ever seen. I complained, got moved to an even dirtier room. I ate the cost and stayed somewhere else after one night out of 3 booked. DO NOT STAY HERE. This place should be removed as an option on this site. Literally mouse poop in the blankets. Every single porous object in both rooms is stained
- Gyanada (4/5): - Old
- Cynthia (4/5): - Chairs were stained. The beds were very uncomfortable and only two small pillows. The room had an odor bathroom door did not close closet doors did not close. Is the rug seemed dirty. We literally walked in the room looked around and said no way and ended up booking a hotel down the road wasted two hundred dollars we were not gonna sleep there
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect spot for a stop, not overly expensive and just what a person needs to sleep
- A. Duane (10/5): - Clean, comfortable, friendly and reasonably priced.
Just outside of Sturbridge, real close without the traffic hassles.
- Crystal (8/5): - Staff was very friendly, A.C was cold, room had a fridge, microwave and coffee maker.
- Charles (10/5): - great
- Christian (10/5): - Great place to get some rest !! Friendly staff even when checking in at late hours... and clean rooms with Roku on all the TVs .....
- Christian (10/5): - Great place
- Verified traveler (4/5): A bit disappointed - Hotel is basic, if your looking for a place to just sleep for the night then this is your place. I was disappointed to see there was no play area as advertised. The pool although not in season has been filled in with cement. The bed mattresses were hard it was like sleeping on the floor.
But it was clean and did serve its purpose.
- Gale (2/5): - There was bird poop on the inside of the door. I found hair in the bed. Mattress as hard as a rock and the pool has been filled in with cement. Terrible. I left
- Christopher (10/5): - I was greeted by the very friendly Jack! He helped get me settled into a room I liked.
- Camille (6/5): - Clean, comfortable bed, good size TV.
Poor lighting (very low wattage or missing light bulbs; too
close to highway so traffic noise all night long.
- Rachel (8/5): - clean-
- Vladimir (10/5): - A nice experience with a nice clean room
- David (8/5): - An older traditional motel. Kind of a throwback. Very Clean. TV and remote worked. Bathroom was spotless. One end table lamp needed needed a new light bulb but I was too tired to care. Everything else worked fine. Room was spacious. Owner/Staff was most accommodating and friendly. Price was right. Would stay there again.
- Katherine (6/5): - Room itself was older but clean. The bathroom was deplorable - mold, drippy broken sink, poor shower water pressure (sink and tub were fine), hairdryer falling off the wall.
A little elbow grease and small updates would make this a very nice inexpensive motel very close to Sturbridge attractions.
- James (2/5): - The cleaning solution they used was too strong for me to stay more than 1 night.
- Edwa (10/5): - Great place clean and. Friendly
- Destiny (2/5): - This place was completely filthy, and smelt like cat urine. No way would I recommend this place to anyone.
- John (10/5): - The gentleman who checked us in was very nice and professional.
- Raymond (2/5): Professional scammers. - They robbed me. Didnt allow me to ch3ck in but kept my money. Used my 1 yr old and 2 yr old as justification. Very dishonest rude people. I feel they never had an intention of providing a room just scamming me.
- David (10/5): - Sam goes above and beyond for guests!
- Kelley (8/5): - Room needs to be updated very worn room. But nice staff, and comfortable beds
- Danny (10/5): - Quiet place
- Debbie (4/5): - Liked location. Front office staff mean and unfriendly.
- Daniel (8/5): - The only downside was that there were quite a few ladybugs in my room. But that's hardly a downside.
- Benjamin (8/5): - Only thing I would have asked for was another set of towels in the hotel room everything else was great
- Carmen (10/5): - Everything was perfect and everything was nice the staff was great
- Philip (4/5): - TV didn’t work refrigerator was loud as hell. Last minute decision. Never again
- Dan (6/5): - One of rooms had a dehumidifier running , it was so loud we had to turn it off. The bathrrom had holes is wall and the door wouldn't close the whole way. Bathrrom was in desperate need of paint.
The guy who checked us in was nice but was also on a personal call while doing so. No one was around when we were checking out. The box forvthe room keys was overflowing.
- Kevin (4/5): - WiFi often craps out, hot water faucet was not working, you had to manually drain the bathtub after showering by holding the knob, towels looked quite used and discolored, pillow case also discolored.
- kristian (2/5): - There was a used / unused needle in the room I stayed in 💀. Right next to the Bible in the room and my room never got cleaned/ my pillows has stains on them. (we stayed Fri-Sunday and our room never got cleaned) Kinda weird but you get what you paid for I suppose. ( I also took photos idk if I can upload them but if I can I will)
- Marcus (10/5): - I love the staff, the staff member Sam was / is amazingly helpful
- diane (10/5): - Slept very well there!
- Susan (10/5): - Quiet and clean, nice bathroom and shower. Mattress was good.
- Christina (6/5): - Bathroom not clean tv did not work
- Miguel (8/5): Dated Motel; good for a short stay - The hotel is rather dated. Not the most visually appealing, and the pool is non-functional, as well as the laundry room. But it is a short drive away from shops and restaurants. Good for an overnight or 2 day stay and cheaper than most motels in the area.
- George (10/5): - people were friendly. place was clean. check was fast.
- George (10/5): - same as first visit
- James (10/5): - very great stay! nice people and clean environment
- Scott (8/5): - It was very easy to check in
- Noelle (10/5): - Great stay and service
- Sean (2/5): - The staff was friendly, but my room was very dirty and smelt like smoke.
- Jacob (6/5): - The place could be way better if property was actually taken care of. But cheapest around so you get what you pay for. Just one main issue. Fix your WiFi. Pretty much useless to be listed as a perk of your stay to offer WiFi that is garbage.
- Dean (6/5): - Blue screen tv, stained chairs (looks like someone took a dump on them). Ok for a 1 night stay but not a weekly stay for Brimfield. Needs alot of upgrades. Site says has a pool. It has one but hasn't been used in years with all its weeds growing in them.
- MARK (10/5): Very economical place to stay - The owner was great. He held me get my things into my room at check-in and assisted me when I checked out. Everything in the room was great. The bed was comfortable. There was a microwave, refrigerator and a table with 2 chairs. I had everything that I needed. The room is outdated but, that doesn't affect one's stay. The room was quiet. The hotel is very close to everything
- margaret (8/5): - not fancy but clean and simple
- Edmund (6/5): - Pool won't be open for any season in the near future. We didn't care, but if that's what you are looking for, don't count on it.
- Heather (4/5): - The property is old and the listing needs to be updated and remove that it has a pool and playground. Neither are usable and haven’t been for at least a decade. We picked this place because we thought it had both. It’s false advertising and won’t use Expedia anymore to book for this reason. They are responsible for the advertising and making sure it fits the description .the room was very tiny too and tv had 5 channels.
- Amber (4/5): - The property needs a lot of work. A lot transient people staying there. The water is heavily chlorinated and the towels were clean however very stained and straw feeling.
- Emily (2/5): - The room smelt absolutely horrible walking into the room for the first time. Smelt like no one had entered that room in a long time for the air to smell that bad. The curtains were dusty. We didn’t even want to image what the bedding was like to sleep in so we went out and bought our own sheets and blankets. There were stains on all the towels and sheets. The room was described online with a KING sized bed and we were given barely a full sized bed. I would not recommend. Horrible nights sleep.
- Neyshkady (2/5): - Na
- Marcus (10/5): - The staff was professional and extremely accommodating.
- Darlene (10/5): - They are very friendly and helpful. Very kind and the room was great.
- Kelvin (10/5): - Bathroom was clean parking was a little uncomfortable but not the worst. I would stay there again if I have too.
- Marcus (10/5): - The staff goes above and beyond expectations.
- Jan (10/5): - We had a balcony to sit out on which was very nice. Room very nice and clean. We didn't have a coffee maker and they were happy to get us one right away.
The swimming pool was wrecked so we couldn't use that but hopefully they will get it fixed.
- Roland (2/5): - Do not stay here. I had had a good experience there some time ago, so returned. The first room I was given smelled of mildew and body fluids, the walls and doors were smattered with other bodily matter, and the bathroom door was broken. I immediately called and told the front desk I would bot accept this room and they moved me to another. We were literally the only guests on that side of the property, ut was eery. This room didn't appear dirty, but upon inspection of the bathroom, we found a dehumidifier on full blast. The paint on the ceiling was falling off, and there was black mold covering it in the shower area. Hence the humidifier.
We couldn't book another hotel until the next day, and did so - costing us an additional 600.00 for 2 nights, due to last minute booking on Memorial Day weekend. I called the front desk to inform them of the issues and that we were leaving. No offer of a full or partial refund. Worse still, not even an apology.
Thank goodness they renovated the lobby area which is attached to their living space and didn't waste any money fixing the rooms or mitigating the black mold! /sarcasm
Stay away! There are far superior hotels/motels in the same price range in the area
- Christian (2/5): - Bed bugs
- Erin (6/5): - Property and rooms very dated and a little run down. Open bar soap in the bathroom.
Sheets and towels clean. Staff friendly and courteous. Quiet
- James (10/5): - Very satisfied, especially since the room was so reasonably priced.
I found the bed and rom temperature to be comfortable.
The Spectrum cable box didn’t function, it wasn’t an issue for me and I didn’t bring it to the attention of the management (room 244).
- Marcus (10/5): - Best place in the area!
- Dan (10/5): - \
- Alexis (2/5): - First off the people who checked me in were rude, they were also talking to someone on the phone while checking me that wasn’t a customer. They said it was a non-smoking room, but the room reeked with cigarette smoke. The only way to get rid of the smell was to put the heat on. Also said they had tv and wifi but yet the tv didn’t work, nor the wifi. If anyone asks me what hotel they should go to, i definitely wouldn’t recommend this hotel. Definitely not worth the stay for the money.
- Marcus (10/5): - Very nice and very quiet
- hodari (10/5): - Very nice staff and clean rooms
- Walter (8/5): - Nice. Clean and quiet property
- Alannah (10/5): - This is by far the best motel I've ever had the pleasure to stay at. and I stay there at least twice a month. it's a little outdated but it gives it character. and the service is amazing. Smith is there and ready to happily help at any time if day or night. Easy and fast check in and out. Just an overall wonderful place and I had an amazing stay and will definitely return many times! Love you, Smith!
- Aniecea (8/5): - Very comfortable stay but no tv access
- Steven (2/5): - We received a room with no heat. There was no thermostat in the room to even change it and it was 49 degrees outside!! It was the only room available so we had no choice but to stay and be cold. The hot water in the shower went in and out, the Wi-Fi did not work at all and there was NO SERVICE at all, there were dead bugs on the carpet, the microwave looked like it was 1970, there were terrible stains on the furniture, and the towels were dirty and torn. Other than all of that, the bed was comfy and seemed clean, the toilet worked, the man at the front desk was very friendly and helpful, and it got us through the night, but WAY overpriced for what we got. Very disappointed.
- Julianne (8/5): Good for the money - Hotel was fairly clean, but needs a deep cleaning. Bed very comfortable. No breakfast, but coffee pot in room. Nice inexpensive hotel.
- Delio (10/5): - Friendly, clean and relaxed environment
- Doreen (2/5): - I mistakenly booked this thinking it was the Econolodge. We left without saying a word. The property was unkempt. The “lobby” was tiny but so cluttered with mismatched furniture. Shabby. A turned around tv on a bureau. The pictures are deceiving. It’s not that clean or welcoming. The room smelled disgusting of mold and mildew. The mattresses looked to be 30 years old. It looked “clean” but the smell wasn’t something we could endure even for one night.
- Rachael (6/5): Bad - Need to clean towel’s better and has bad water pressure
- Julia (2/5): - The room was very dirty. Dust covering night stands. The shower was unusable. There was black gunk in the shower head. Room smelled like smoke even tho it said non smoking. No one at front desk to check out and file a complaint to. Had to find other accommodations due to the overall filth.
- David (6/5): - It was an average motel. Nothing special. But it was available and a place to sleep. In a decent area.
- Rachael (6/5): Ok - Need to clean floors better and room smelled bad
- Paul (6/5): Economy lodge - Our stay at the Economy Lodge was good. The room was very clean. The beds were comfortable. It was also very quiet for sleeping. My only negative comment was there were no instructions in the room to get the Tv to work and they never gave us the password for wifi.
- PAVLO (4/5): - Looks like the house keeping staff is trying hard, but the maintenance and capital expense team is not holding up their end. Dingy, moldy odor. Peeling wall paper. This place really made me question life decisions that led me to this point.
- Robin (4/5): - Check in was hospitable. Room clean. Bed comfortable. No hot water. Exterior property poor.
