I think all rooms have bedroom, bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room with flatscreen TV. Staff were outstanding, especially Anisur Nothing

He couldn't find my booking, said I must have done it privately, and even asked me what my room rate was! Then I told him it was on booking.com again and he said fine, you can go, (presumably cos my credit card guaranteed payment?) Then as I was about to go to the airport he called me back and said you still need to pay. But this is a fabulous place. That was just a minor frustration.

Asitha (10/5): Great Location. Great Service. Highly Recommended! - LOT of space. It's about 4 times a normal hotel room with similar pricing. In the front, there is a kitchen (with all the equipment, including a gas cooker) and a living room with sofas & a TV, and in the back (separated by a door), there was a bedroom and a Study/Office Room. Great central location - 2 min walking distance to Gulshan 1 Circle. Breakfast is good. Few selections, not much. But, the staff makes it great with their service. Overall, the service is really great (there's always somebody to open the doors for you, etc.) Noisy, as there's always traffic (except perhaps late at night & early morning) being near the Gulshan Circle. Sometimes, mosquitos get into the room and might disrupt your sleep. Mosquito repellents are attached everywhere, still, those pesky creatures find a way.

dannymcl (10/5): Great value and great service - I booked this place at very short notice after being badly let down by a local Airbnb "Superhost". Rafflesia coudn't be more of a contrast, clean, welcoming, great location at Gulshan 1, and helpful staff during my first visit to Bangladesh. The room was comfortable, clean (though a few mossies on the loose) but they supply a spray. Two bedrooms, a double and a nice single with a study area great for work, good bathroom with lovely hot shower, combined kitchen / dining / living room with TV that has a decent selection of channels inc BBC and CNN. I like cooking for myself so the basic cooking facilities were fine with a two burner stove (no oven) and a microwave and fridg/ freezer. Need western food? Check out the German Butcher or Lavender not far away at Gulshan 2 - feasible by rickshaw or tuk tuk (and they have Uber in Dhaka, though waiting times and mapping can be a bit confusing). Lots of hot water in the sink in the bathroom but curiously none at the tap in the kitchen but washing up liquid supplied. Sufficient pots, pans, knives, forks and spoons, bowls etc.Ask reception if you need anything else. Note no toaster so they can toast bread in kitchen for you. A strange ommission and perhaps note to hotel - have a few toasters available for loan? There's a kettle in the room for tea too. I also got fresh milk in Lavendar supermarket - just ask them where it is. Seemed fine and fresh to me, though I would not drink it raw! There was also a balcony looking out over the adjacent road. I suspect everywhere in Dhaka is plagued by the unnecessary tooting of drivers so one can't complain about that. Got a good price to extend my stay after the first few days from the manager and a good deal to stay late on my last day as I was flying out in the evening. Fast WiFi that supported VPN and allowed me to stream iPlayerand Netflix okay. Ask for an extension power lead to provide enough outlets for your chargers. I borrowed on one arrival. Place seems nice and secure with steel gates and two guards at entrance to car park areas in front of lobby. There's another fella with a shotgun - which you see everywhere). Nice combination of air con in each of the main rooms and ceiling fans which keeps things comfortable. I got a free English Language newspaper under my door every day and the room was also cleaned and serviced daily by the team. I'm a harsh and intolerant critic of poor service and low standards, but I can honestly say, this hotel did the job expected at a reasonable price. All in all highly recommended if you want a decent hotel in the heart of Gulshan that delivers what you need. I will certainly stay here if I return to Dhaka.
100brentw (8/5): Supper - Only had supper in the resteraunt. Place was deserted. Food was however ok, but not a place I’d go out of my way to eat at. Probably very convenient for residents in the hotel. Fairly secure environment and staff were very helpful.
384kristianb (10/5): Excellent way to stay in Dhaka - I was already in Dhaka and I contacted the property after a recommendation from a local person. The people at the reception of Rafflesia were very gentle and responsive, they made me a great price for an apartment with two bedrooms, kitchen and a daily room. There are a lot of staff members around who are trained to be always helpful and to do everything at the moment of your request. AC noise is unavoidable since there are three ACs, in each room one. The breakfast is not a buffet, but a choice between three options, each of them very abundant. The restaurant is a bit pricey, but the quality of food is very good. The location is also favorable, in the heart of Gulshan 1, still in a relatively quiet neighborhood for the standards of Dhaka. This is also one of the safest areas in the city. There are many restaurants, pharmacies, coffees and even a bar with alcohol in close proximity (La Diplomat). The top of everything is that there is one airport transfer for free (pick-up or drop according to the choice of the client). I strongly recommend Rafflesia Serviced Apartments.

Vegitables and Shopping malls are 5 min walking distance. we definitely visit in our next trip... Mosquitoes are there in Dhaka, hotel management tried to control the mosquitoes their level best with different methods...
