Our room was very spacious and comfortable, and the service at the front desk was great. The breakfast, which was served at a street-level café, was sparse and did not live up to our expectations for a hotel of this standard.

Вся движуха тут, миллион как маленьких баров, так и классных ресторанов. Будапешт и так одна из красивейших европейских столиц, а в этом месте вы в ее самом сердце. Персонал на рецепции великолепно говорит по английски, я остался крайне доволен. Здание роскошное, старое, высоченные потолки. Мой номер был огромен по меркам конкурентных за такие деньги. Косметика качественная, постель приятна. Вайб этого места непередаваем. Дизайн интерьера мне также очень понравился. Я бы реально жил в таком интерьере: стильный, по холостяцки дерзкий, комфортный и при этом не приторный, как в сетевых отелях. Отдельно плюс за кофеварку в номере. Также для тех кому это может быть важно - в номера прекрасная шумоизоляция) в общем, тем кто воплотил этот отельный шедевр - мое почтение Впервые в жизни у меня не найдется ничего, что бы мне не понравилось.

O quarto é mais antigo, mas não tem cheiro de mofo ou de coisa velha, estando tudo muito bem renovado. O estilo é muito bonito. O atendimento da recepção foi excelente. O café da manhã deixou a desejar. Há poucas opções e é necessário sair do hotel para acessar o local, o que não costuma ser algo muito bom quando se acaba de acordar em uma viagem a passeio.

• Harinder (9/5): Lovely heritage building with good service and very centrally located. - The location really couldn't have been better. We were so close to fantastic restaurants, cafes and sites. Unfortunately we left going to the Opera House (right next door!) till the very last day, and discovered we could have booked a two-hour tour and performance. We are keen to come back just for this! The room was a little warm, which meant having to keep the window ajar overnight. This increased the noise level from the road (Andrassy Ut) outside.

• Steffen (8/5): Für einen Städtetrip ideal, jederzeit wieder - Die Lages des Hotels ist für einen Städtetrip nach Budapest perfekt, da super zentral (direkt neben der Staatsoper, siehe Foto) gelegen. Vor der Oper (1 Minute zu Fuß) fährt die Metro Linie 1. Zu Fuß sind es zu dem Hauptplatz Deák Ferenc Tér nur ca. 10 Minuten. Zudem ist die Straße Andrássy út mit seinen schönen Stadthäusern, Geschäften und Restaurants jederzeit gut und unseres Erachtens - auch in der Nacht - sicher zu gehen. In unmittelbarer Umgebung des Callas House gibt es mehrere gute Restaurants. Erwähnenswert ist auch noch, dass wir täglich eine Flasche Mineralwasser aufs Zimmer bekommen haben und eine Nespresso Kaffeemaschine mit einer Auswahl an Nespresso Tabs (wurden täglich neu aufgefüllt) auf dem Zimmer zur kostenfreien Nutzung zur Verfügung stand. Im Zimmer steht auch eine Minibar zur Verfügung. Im Zimmer war es (dank 3-fach Verglasung) sehr ruhig und wir haben wunderbar tief und fest geschlafen. Von der Vier-spurigen Straße Andrássy út haben wir (bei geschlossenen Fenstern) nichts gehört. Zimmer zur Seite / Oper. Das Frühstück (Buffet) im hauseigenen Café (direkt um die Ecke) war für einen guten Start in den Tag ebenfalls gut und sehr reichlich und das Personal ebenfalls sehr freundlich. Der Kaffee und der Espresso aus der Maschine war sehr lecker, zudem stehen zig Teesorten und Säfte zur Verfügung. Die Abwechslung der angebotenen Wurst und Käse dürfte gerne hin und wieder wechseln, hier gab es 6 Tage lang das gleiche. Aber das ist auch schon der einzige Kritikpunkt.

• Carola (9/5): - Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend, die Innenstadt ist in etwa 15 Minuten bequem zu Fuß erreichbar. Unser Zimmer (Deluxe‑Doppelzimmer mit Balkon) in der 4. Etage war sehr groß, komfortabel und angenehm ruhig. Besonders gefallen hat uns das schöne historische Gebäude in dem sich das Hotel befindet, inklusive eigenem Restaurant und einem sehr ansprechenden Frühstücksraum. Insgesamt ein sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt. Im Sommer könnte es vielleicht etwas warm werden in den Dachgeschoss-Zimmern.

• Csilla (10/5): Elegant stay at heart of Budapest - The Callas House has an amazing location, just right next to the Hungarian Opera State House. Also on a famous shopping street. To be honest I booked it due to the old school vibe. The fascinating bathroom, which is reach in copper details, pure design elements. Bright but not too much. The room was spacious, everything what you need for short/long stay comfort. People at the reception desk were superkind and helped with extra request immediately. Small things are coming where personally I shall improve: - there was no kettle. I missed my evening tea, only coffee machine (Nespresso) was available in the room - selection of breakfast bit poor and boring. Maybe add some sausages, diff cheese ?! Improve on quality of orange juice (it was not fresh and very watery, with lots sugar)

Brilliant location which is walking distance from most sites. The bathroom was huge with excellent water pressure, plus a luxurious bath with lovely toiletries. Room was tastefully decorated and the overall building is historic and unique. We were so sorry to leave!

• Jennifer (9/5): Huge room in a great location. - Lovely hotel, enormous room and bathroom. The reception staff were all lovely and very helpful. The room was cleaned nicely each day. Lovely big windows, and nice pictures on the walls. Wonderful deep bath! Breakfast was good, nice to have some hot food options. Great location, handy for buses and metro. One day we went down 40 minutes before the end of breakfast and several items had already gone, and weren't being replenished. The other days were fine, though. English Breakfast tea bags were used up on our first morning and not replenished, and tea was made by ladling hot water from a pan into your cup, which seemed very strange! There was a jug/pot one day, not sure why it wasn't used every day - maybe it's a Hungarian tradition?! 🤷🏼‍♀️

• ElisabethGonçalvesLusqui (10/5): FABULOSA - Habitación amplia, con terraza y balcón con unas vistas espectaculares (sin spoiler) Nuestra habitación era perfecta, como una suite, cama grande, baño cómodo y grande, con todo los detalles de calidad, una decoración hecha con mucho gusto y elegancia Por decir algo ya que todo fue perfecto - se filtraba un poco de luz por la cortina que daba a la escalera de la terraza. Se puede mejorar con un velcro o gancho.

• Olga Tar (10/5): - Все просто отлично, персонал на рецепшен очень внимательный и доброжелательный. Расположение отеля - лучше не бывает, завтраки не отличаются разнообразием, но всего достаточно, все свежее и достаточно вкусное. Сам номер просто отличный, все есть, даже капсульная кофеварка и колонка Маршалл. Уборка могла бы быть лучше, пол не мыли и не пылесосили, потому как все оброненные бумажки и прочий мусор остался на своих местах в течение всего срока проживания. Санузел моют, чистый.
• MartinP874 (10/5): Old-fashioned classic Hotel - Old-fashioned, classical, well maintained hotel area in the upper floors of a large block directly neighboring the Budapest Opera House. I chose the place for 1 night as I attended an event in the Opera and was not disappointed. The room was spacious, clean, well equipped and provided access to a roof terrace. Reception was very attentive, friendly and took care of Széchenyi Thermal bath booking and taxi calling. A great locatiln for visiting the greatbcentral Budapest area.

• Pauline (10/5): Beautiful hotel in Budapest and very well located - The location was top notch, and the hotel is very beautiful and well designed. We could do everything in walking distance from the hotel. Nearby the beautiful district of the parlement and Liberty Square, and on the opposite side, all the pubs and nightclubs. The room was very spacious and well decorated, the bed very comfortable also. Everything was perfect, the staff was very friendly and polite. The room was cleaned every day. The building is very quiet in general. The only minor point is the noise from the street. Even if there are double gazed windows, you can still hear the noise from the street as it is an old building, especially the music from the clubs. But it stopped early, around 2am, and only during weekends. It was only because our room was facing the back street with a few clubs and pubs. However, if you have a room facing the front street, I think it is less noisy.

We were upgraded to a 2 bedroom apartment with a roof top terrace with views of the opera house next door. The fittings throughout the whole apartment were 5 star. The bed was comfortable and it was a huge space. We walked everywhere and used the metro which was a few steps from the door when our legs needed a break. The staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. You should stay here.

Our room was spacious, spotless, and beautifully furnished over looking the Opera house. The location is excellent for exploring this beautiful city. Det är en rymlig lägenhet med vardagsrum och en fantastisk takterrass med utsikt över operahuset och stadens takåsar. Personalen är mycket trevlig och serviceinriktad, och frukosten håller hög kvalitet. Boendet passar perfekt för den som vill bo centralt med närhet till allt, och med bekvämt promenadavstånd till stadens olika delar och sevärdheter. Om man däremot söker ett modernt hotell med mycket liv och rörelse samt en stor reception, är detta kanske inte rätt val. Callas House erbjuder istället en mer privat och diskret upplevelse, med en lugn och harmonisk atmosfär. Restaurangen intill, där frukosten serveras varje morgon, är dessutom historiskt vacker.

Щоб поснідати у готелі, треба вийти з будинку і зайти за кут. Номери чисті та з нестандартним дизайном, деякі номери із своєю терасою і чудовим краєвидом.

• Werkowska (10/5): Charming & elegant. - Beautiful building and prime location. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The room was a pleasure to stay in, very old world charm. The coffee machine and kettle was a great bonus. Breakfast was served in a cafe in the same building and that in itself was an experience, stunning place. Nothing to dislike, could have easily stayed much longer.
