• Alexis (5/5): Good experience to bring our dog but rooms need to be renovated - We needed a place that was pet friendly. This was the only location that would allow pets. We felt very comfortable with our pet there. the room could have been nicer- more up to date and newer - some things did not work like an outlet and the door to the bedroom got stuck. Also the front door knob was loose and it was difficult at times to open

The only downsides are that the bathrooms could use updating and the HVAC could be improved. Overall, a great spot for a comfortable stay in Wildwood Crest.

When we asked we were told there are no ocean views at all which wasn’t correct. There are two rooms on the second level where the catwalk leading to those rooms face the ocean. We asked to switch and were told if we put our bags down we weren’t allowed to switch. Very disappointed otherwise it was an okay stay.

The trip was going well until we were threatened to be kicked out over our SERVICE dog on the second day in front of multiple guests in an embarrassing interaction with a staff member I think named Leslie. My family was walking down to the beach, we made it about 20 ft down the street when we realized we forgot wipes/poo bags for the 2 dogs (one service animal, one emotional support) and I walked my mother back to grab them. Staff was outside and called me by name to say the dog is not with my mother and per ADA has to be with her at all times. We expressed that she’s just down the road, you can wave at her and we just needed to get our doggy bags and she repeated the same phrase so I tried to explain that we’re walking back to our dog now and my moms levels were already taken for the morning and we just needed wipes and she begins to get louder and say “YOU’RE SERVICE DOG IS TO BE ATTACHED TO YOU AT ALL TIMES PER ADA GUIDELINES, YOU SIGNED THAT YOU HAVE A DISABILITY AND IF I SEE YOU WITHOUT YOUR SERVICE DOG I WILL ASK YOU TO LEAVE.” At this point my mother is upset that she’s shouting about her having a disability and trying to explain the dog is just about three cars down and we can see her and we just needed an item from the room and staff just shouts again “I WILL KICK YOU OFF THE PREMISES IF I SEE YOU WITHOUT THE DOG AGAIN.” We walked away, there was no need to further escalate, we drove 8 hours the day before and we were only staying 1 more night. But this truly soured things, it was completely rude and unnecessary and the worst part? Those aren’t even the guidelines. So let me clear this up, per ADA straight off the government site- “ADA does not require a service dog handler to be with their dog at all times. While service dogs must be under the handler's control, this can be achieved through various methods like a leash, voice control, or hand signals, not necessarily constant physical presence.

• Cara (10/5): - For the money, this is a clean, safe, classic motel. For people whose priority is to be at the beach, or the pool. Plenty of restaurants around but the area is quiet. DoorDash can get you whatever you need.
• Jessica (10/5): a magical pet loving oasis steps from the gorgeous beach; best vibes - this was our two year old Yorkies first hotel experience and he was so welcomed and the vibe was so chill .. he loved meeting the other pets and all of the owners were such a good vibe, which I can only attribute to Ms Leslie who ran the front desk when we arrived there. my son and I loved the pool and that we could both take a dip together while our pup rested in the room. some accommodations are pet friendly but wont let you leave yr pet for even a small period of time so this is a huge plus for the beach colony. I loved that its literally steps from the gorgeous five mile beach and a $3 car ride to MudHen or a walk to the Avalon coffee and bagel shop at the Jolly Roger. it was just an absolute magical experience and a total bang for yr buck. we got a last minute room that could have comfortably suited four adults for the price we paid for myself and our son - and it still felt like a deal for us. Leslie is just wonderful and it really felt like we were staying in a small chill beach villa as opposed to being strangers on the road. we loved everything about it

• Malka (9/5): Superb - It was clean and near the beginning of the boardwalk. Once we reach the boardwalk, we can take the tram car. It also has a pool which was a nice size and well kept. Nothing really… the people staying there were not a rowdy crowd, and the staff was nice

We had a pool side room on the first floor which was very convenient. The bed however was not comfortable it was very hard. But other than that it was perfectly pleasant and the staff are very nice and friendly!

I liked all of the people i met staying at the hotel. I would have preferred a check out a little later than 10 am.

The location was close enough to so many things yet far enough away to be quiet at night for relaxing and sleep. Can not say enough good things about this place AND pet friendly. For all the families with or without pets, guests were friendly, all pooches under control. The pool was a nice size and sparkling clean. The housekeeping staff was fabulous. They really kept the whole property clean and not just the rooms. Can not say enough about this facility. It was an all around wonderful experience.😃 Nothing to report.

It also had gas grills that we were able to use. The pool was great also! Overall the property was very clean even though they allow dogs. All the dogs there were friendly and they have to have leashes.

Lighting with one lamp that was outdated. Had to unplug to charge phone at night. Larger refrigerator would be nice. Had to use coolers. Lots of rules I was unaware of until arrival. Coffee would have been nice with the coffee maker. Cost was much higher then expected based on 192 a night.

• Deanna (4/5): - Was very disappointed with room. They put us in a room facing the wall with no view. The hotel was pretty empty so I'm still not sure why I was given the room I was given. Also, the refrigerator was unplugged as well as the lights. It took nearly 24 hrs for the fridge to cool off. The bed and floor also appeared to have sand on it which made me concerned that the bedding wasn't cleaned prior to arrival.

• Joanne (4/5): Adequate - Location is the best quality of this property. Its close to the beach. Otherwise I would stay somewhere else. Main room was small. 2nd bedroom was like a closet. The bed was uncomfortable. The bathroom was outdated and the toilet was in need of repair.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Good Stay with lots of Dogs! - I had a very nice stay at Beach Colony Motel. I had a nice room, which was very clean. The pool was very nice, and also very clean. There were lots of dogs there. Everyone was friendly. I would recommend this motel.

• Sulma (8/5): It was a girls trip and this motel is close to everything we wanted to do…restaurants, winery, boardwalk and beach! We w - It is very clean, close to the beach, has a pool and that it’s pet friendly! It needs a little upgrading!
• Mariza (8/5): - Furniture could use some updating. The top drawer to the dresser in our room kept opening on its own. Otherwise was nice place.
