• Erika (5/5): Doesn’t worth the money - Nice beach and beach bar Its an old place, terrace doors doesn’t close properly, bad smell in the shower, no water pressure, massive gaps between doors and windows. We had second bungalow from the beach, every morning we could hear how they are preparing for breakfast, counting cutlery and plates. Every morning at 7 am they do some maintenance work outside and this was really annoying as you don’t expect that this will happen so early. In general this place is old, needs to be renovated. Doesn’t worth the money

Need to rent a motorbike.. but easily done from the resort (400 BHT) or a business immediately opposite (300 BHT) .. and this is needed to properly explore Koh Kood anyway. Scrumptious buffet breakfast with gorgeous happy attentive staff! Room was lovely, but we didn't like the outdoor shower as the door let mozzies in!

The beach was beautiful with kayaks and snorkels to use for free. Beach bar next door and a delicious bbq restaurant opposite. We would highly recommend for anyone seeking a luxurious stay in the south of koh kood.
• Dejan (7/5): - Všeč nam je bila zasebnost kakor tudi sama postavitev bungalova in bazena. Zajtrk je ok . Osebje ob prihodu je bilo videt kot da ne ve kaj počne . Osebje v lokalu kjub temu da ni bilo gužve je zelo počasno , na pijačo smo čakali 20 minut .Plaža levo ki se drži plaže resorta je polna smeti tako da je težko hodit. Lahko bi vsaj enkrat na dan to počistili kot to počnejo na drugih plažah po otoku.

Situé sur une très belles plage, calme, à l'entrée de la mangrove. Le personnel du restaurant(Natty et Gfie en particulier) est très agréable, amical et professionnel aussi. Attention au bruit à 6h du matin lors de la préparation du petit déjeuner, de la salle etc...surtout le déplacement des tables et chaises qui nous a réveillés quelques fois.

• Marvin (7/5): Unterkunft mit Potential, wenn Renovierungsarbeiten gemacht wurden - Die Unterkunft liegt direkt am Strand und hat einen tollen Bereich dort. Insbesondere die Cocktails an der Beachbar sind super lecker. Das Ambiente außerhalb der Villa ist auch sehr schön. Unterkunft sieht leider nicht mehr wie auf den Bildern aus. Wir hatten die Villa mit dem kleinen Pool. Die Villen sind nicht blickdicht, d.h keine volle Privatsphäre. Zudem ist die Unterkunft in die Jahre gekommen und hier müssten dringend Renovierungsarbeiten gemacht werden. Liegen und Schirm im außenbereich sind nur Deko. Wenn man sich auf die Stoffbetten legt, kommt erstmal 1 Liter Wasser raus. Sehr schade, da Rest Sea außerhalb der Unterkunft sehr schön ist. Es ist viel mehr Potential vorhanden, damit die Gäste sich wohlfühlen.

• Eva (3/5): Leider für mich nicht mehr… - Wunderschöner Strand! Das Essen war sehr lecker! Das Personal war (ausser an der Rezeption) sehr freundlich. Der Versuch nachhaltig zu sein. Grundsätzlich könnte das Resort sehr schön sein… Zu teuer für das, was es ist! Unheimlich schlecht organisiert! Kann mit anderen Resorts dieser Preisklasse nicht mithalten! Man kommt aus dem Pool fast nicht mehr raus, da es keine Leiter gibt. Ständige Beschallung mit sehr schlechter, lauter Musik! Mangende und schlechte Liegemöglichkeiten am Strand. Personal an der Rezeption ist sehr unfreundlich und unfähig- die haben mich in das angeblich falsche, völlig überteuerte Taxi gesetzt und wollten, dass ich mit meinem ganzen Gepäck irgendwo an der Straße auf ein anderes warte! Man könnte das Resort mit kleinen Dingen sehr aufwerten! Leider für mich nie wieder- schade, weil ich die Lage sehr schön fand!

From the moment we arrived, the reception team made us feel incredibly welcome with a perfect, seamless check-in. You can really tell they care about their guests; the hospitality is top-notch. A special shout-out to Nick and the entire restaurant team. The service and the atmosphere at the restaurant were simply wonderful. It’s rare to find a team that is so attentive and professional while making you feel so comfortable and relaxed. This is a beautiful hotel where you genuinely feel good. Thank you to everyone for making our trip so special. We can’t wait to come back!

Le rapport qualité prix, l’hôtel n’est pas à la hauteur du prix demandé par nuit. Travaux en pleine journée au bar (disceuse très désagréable). Info dont l’hôtel n’est pas directement responsable, la plage en face de l’hôtel est sale. Déçu pour notre dernière nuit dans les îles

• Nicole (9/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. We had villas P1 (sea view with own pool) and C4 (own pool) and both were marvelous. C4 had more privacy, P1 was a bit more noisy due to being next to the restaurant and pool area. Loved the beach with the free SUP and kayak rental. Breakfast was quite basic with limited options for vegans (there's a mini mart right next to the hotel which has soy milk). Also the restaurant has only a few vegetarian and even fewer vegan options and is quite expensive for what you get. The hotel is located in the south of the island and very secluded - just keep that in mind if you want to explore a bit more.

Restaurantpersonal zuvorkommend. - Verpflegung: Frühstück gut, aber eintönig und sehr asiatisch ausgerichtet. - Zimmer & Zustand: Standard Villa stark veraltet, entspricht nicht den Fotos. - Mäuse-/Rattenproblem: Kot auf Kopfkissen bei Ankunft, Tiere in Zwischendecken hörbar in mehreren Zimmern. Mehrere Zimmerwechsel halfen nicht; Schlaf fast unmöglich. Klimaanlage ebenfalls betroffen. Hotel reagierte nur oberflächlich, echte Lösung fehlte. - Verpflegung: Frühstück gut, aber eintönig und sehr asiatisch ausgerichtet. - Personal freundlich, aber wirkungslos in Problemlösung. Restaurantpersonal zuvorkommend. - Anlagen & Zustand: Pool und öffentliche Bereiche renovierungsbedürftig und ungepflegt. - Preis-Leistung: Katastrophal, keine 4 Sterne wert. Fazit: Extrem enttäuschend, kein erholsamer Urlaub, Hotel nicht zu empfehlen. !!! Videos bezüglich des Mäuseproblems auch auf Google bei den Bewertungen der Unterkunft zu finden, da ich Videos hier auf Booking nicht posten kann.
• Juergen (7/5): Resort mit Potential - Zimmer sind gut (wir hatten eine Pool Villa) und sehr sauber. Das Frühstück war auch gut. Der „Garten der Villa“ war wenig einladend, besonders die Sitzgelegenheiten. Grundsätzlich war der Strand sehr schön. Aber das Hotel begrenzt das Engagement den Strand sauber zu halten nur absolut auf den Bereich vor dem eigenen Hotel. Mit einem minimalen Personaleinsatz könnten man den Strand täglich sauber halten. Vielleicht in Kooperation mit den anderen Resorts am gleichen Strand. Die Pool Area war auch nicht sehr einladend. Die Beplankung der Umrandung war z. B. nicht eben. Man müsste mehr machen, um den aus unserer Sicht zu hohen Preis zu rechtfertigen.

• Pirapong (10/5): A peaceful, comfortable stay that exceeded my expectations - Very peaceful, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. I booked a standard room but was pleasantly upgraded at no extra cost. Breakfast was great with a nice variety to choose from. Definitely a lovely stay Nothing to complain about 😍 — just note that it takes around 45 minutes from the pier.
• Sven (7/5): lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with many nice details - Upon check-in, you get a very good welcome drink and even an ice cream. Every day there are snacks and drinks provided for the minibar. If you’re asleep when they deliver them, they leave a small bag in front of your door. The pool and beach area are beautifully decorated and nicely lit in the evening. Overall, it was a lovely stay in a beautiful hotel with many nice details. The points I mentioned are just small personal impressions and don’t change the fact that the hotel offers a great experience. For me personally, however, I wouldn’t necessarily return — but I can easily recommend it to others. The staff, however, were not very attentive. When it came to things like renting a scooter, doing laundry, or booking excursions, we received almost no help, so we ended up arranging everything outside the hotel. Prices for food, drinks, scooters, and massages at the hotel are a lot higher as in the nearby shops and restaurants. I didn’t feel very welcome at the hotel. There are signs everywhere warning about fines (for bringing drinks to the beach area, smoking, pets, etc.), which made me feel a bit controlled. Even though I followed all the rules, I constantly worried about accidentally doing something wrong. I actually wanted to celebrate my birthday at the hotel, since it was during my stay, but nobody seemed to care. No one even wished me a happy birthday. We ended up celebrating outside, which I’m very glad about.

Au départ nous voulions laisser des pourboires mais on nous a accusé d’avoir volé une tasse puis un parapluie.. jamais on se serait permis et cette agressivité juste avant de partir était décevante !

• Jutiporn (9/5): Overall I enjoyed my stay, just some points for improvements - It was private hotel with quiet ambience. The hotel and room were amazing. The breakfast was full of selections, however, could have tasted better, food not warm enough especially hot comfort foods, like dim sum / rice / noodles We used the spa service, however, the spa room was quite dirty and dusty. Not well prepared for the customers.

• Alberto Oliver (10/5): - What an amazing place. It’s the furthest resort but it’s worth the extra 15/20 mins car journey. It’s a small hotel so you are looked after very well by the staff who are always on hand. Children are welcome too. The food was amazing. Every night we had something different and all was great tasty food. Price for a curry and rice is around £6 so not pricey at all as some other reviews say. There is also a local restaurant behind the hotel that serve local food too at half the price of the hotel for those looking to eat good food for less money. We travelled with our 16month old baby and one of the nights he was quite ill with a cough. the hotel organised a car for us to go to the hospital within 10 minutes of asking. we saw a doctor at the local hospital whils the driver waited with us and took us back. Luckily all was good with baby. We stayed in one of the delux villas which was amazing, spacious and more importantly, spotless and clean. Beach is lovely with the river flowing to the side of hotel which is crystal clear water as is the sea. Beautiful spot. We loved it here the 5 nights we stayed and would recommend this place to anyone looking to relax and be looked after. Can’t wait to return.

• Stephanie (8/5): Great potential on a scenic beach! - Overall, the experience was positive, but there are a couple of important points to note. Firstly, the new rooms are beautifully designed, but they could benefit from more attention to detail. In the room, there were four hooks and two coat racks, but unfortunately, there is no clothing rack, closet, or shelves available for storage. I requested extra coat racks, which were provided promptly; however, there was nowhere to attach them. This seems to be a significant oversight in the design of these newly built rooms. Additionally, the lack of proper ventilation in the new rooms causes it to become humid quickly, leading to an unpleasant smell. Secondly, while I understand the hotel allows external guests access to the facilities via the public beach, it feels disproportionate compared to the room prices. External guests can even enjoy the pool area, if they purchase just one drink, which leads to a shortage of loungers—there are only 6 (!!!) available around the pool, and none come with parasols for shade. On the beach, there are some (almost empty) "leather" bean bags and sit-up chairs with thick cushions, which are not very comfortable on a hot sunny day. The visitor policy could use some reevaluation, as it detracts from the overall experience for the paying hotelguests! Despite these concerns, the hotel has many positives, such as the friendly service, room decor, and most beautiful surroundings. If the management addresses these issues, this could easily be a top-notch destination.

• Izabelle (10/5): Kommer definitivt tillbaka - Vi var två kompisar som var där. Vi trivdes otroligt bra. Väldigt mysigt, litet resort på en lugn del på ön. Personalen var alltid mycket trevlig. Handdukar byttes varje dag. Gratis vatten, dryck och snacks som fylldes på varje dag på rummet. Mysig, liten restaurang där man åt frukost. Frukosten var helt okej, ägg lagades på beställningen och kaffet var över förväntan. Rent och fint på hotellområdet. Mysigt inrett på stranden och runt poolen med olika typer av sitt- och liggplatser. Gratis att låna kajak och SUP vilket var toppen. Hotellområdet är väldigt mysigt inrett, dom har verkligen fått till det! Trots att hotellet ligger avskiljt finns det några restauranger/barer på stranden som man kan promenera till. Stranden är så oss stor att man kan strosa eller springa längs den. Om jag måste skriva nånting negativt så skulle det vara att kranen i badrummet skvätte väldigt mycket, dom sopade inte bort sanden precis innanför dörren, sängarna var väldigt hårda och duschen varierade mellan kallt och varmt typ varannan minut. Dessa saker var dock inget som påverkade vår helhetsupplevelse. Vi är mycket nöjda och kan varmt rekommendera detta boende!

• Mohamed (9/5): A really nice and serene place, worth it 100% - You can sense how well it’s designed and thought of in every detail, from the choice of colors to decorations to lighting to every small detail to provide you with serene experience. The beach is really good and secluded enough to enjoy nature without noise. The staff is very friendly and genuine in that, you feel like they want to excel in their job. The food is great at the restaurant as well. Special shoutout to Stuar from reception for being very helpful :) There is not much to say here, but if I would mention improvements I would say having more beanbags or seats by the beach as it could be challenging finding one at some moments free, maybe more frequent cleaning of the beach tables by the sand to avoid the ants climbing on it, and finally some staff members like waiters or reception didn’t speak at all English, this can be challenging when ordering food or asking for help. Little English maybe would be good enough

We organized our wedding dinner in the restaurant and the staff made really made effort to make us happy. The resort is clean and beautiful as well. It is not the first time we visited the island, but the first to visit Rest Sea Resort, and for sure we are going to visit this great place in future. The price vs quality ratio is good. • Claudia (10/5): Tolles Resort am (eigentlich) traumhaften Strand - Das Hotel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und geräumig und verfügen über eine eigene Terrasse mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten und einer Außendusche. Der Restaurant-, Pool- und Barbereich ist ebenfalls schön gestaltet, auch wenn die Liegen am Pool leider schon derbe Gebrauchsspuren aufwiesen. Das Frühstück mit Meerblick war toll und ansprechend. Es war alles da, was man für einen guten Start im den Tag braucht. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich, sprach allerdings zum Teil nur sehr schlecht Englisch. Am Strand, den man (eigentlich) als Traumstrand bezeichnen würde, gab es kostenlos Kayaks auszuleihen. Der einzige wirklich negative Punkt bei diesem Hotel ist die Verschmutzung des Strands, was wohl vielfach von dem neben dem Resort an einem Fluss liegenden Fischerdorf kommt. Das Wasser ist glasklar, der Strand puderweiß, aber überall findet sich immer wieder Plastikmüll im Sand oder es schwimmt eine Tüte, PET-Flasche oder anderer Abfall vorbei. Das ist so so schade. Auch wenn das Hotel nichts dafür kann und den Hotelstrand weitestgehend vom Müll befreit, kommt doch immer wieder etwas vorbei, und wenn man den Strand weitergeht sieht es zum Teil echt schlimm aus was den Müll angeht. Sehr, sehr schade, denn das Hotel und Koh Kood haben uns supergut gefallen.

• Eamon (10/5): Perfect holiday trip in Koh Kood - Food was great, location was lovely right on beach with restaurant facing out, had little kanoe boats you can take out for free, room was very comfortable with all amenities and some free snacks which was great plus.. was definitely worth it I would highly recommend to anyone looking to stay in Koh Kood Some food items missing in restaurant but overall was a great experience there really was not much not to like about my stay

• Azar (8/5): Thoroughly relaxing stay on beautiful beach with comfortable & stylish decor - The perfect place for complete relaxation. Lovely swimming pool and free Kayaks and paddle boards available. Also good snorkelling around the rocks on the beach so plenty of activities to do. There's a nice bar and great breakfast included though didnt try the restaurant for other meals. There are a couple of local places in walking distance along the beach and behind the resort along the river but need transport to get anywhere else. The staff got a bit confused with the bar bills as we were sitting with other people so make sure you check them as you go along.
• Maria (6/5): Requires a better balance between price and quality - Beautiful beach and nicely decorated bar and restaurant. Very basic villas and poor bathroom. We had much higher expectations based on the rating and the price. As mentioned in other comments, it is good to acknowledge that this accommodation is at a remote location.

• Marina (10/5): Lovely holiday by the sea - Beautiful small boutique hotel - we rented 2 villas for our family and enjoyed the beach, nice food in the hotel restaurant and overall ambiance. There is a nice swimming pool in the hotel and you can take a boat or kayak for free if you like. The hotel is a bit further away than the rest of cafes/ restaurants on the island so you’d need a scooter if you want to travel around. There is a river next to the beach so sometimes when tide is high the water becomes not very clean and there is a lot of rubbish on the water ( plastic, etc) Insects are everywhere (it’s a tropical island..) but they provide some spray in each of the rooms to fight them off, however we did notice some other big things around that we did not expect to see - huge centipede, and a toad on our terrace 🐸

• Dan (10/5): Exceptional - Location, small occupancy hotel, great food and drinks. Private pool is a must have. Early restaurant and bar closure in low season. Private pools get switched off before 9pm
• Ian (10/5): Exceptional - Best resort I have stayed in Thailand so far. Great beach access. Good food on site. Comfortable living quarters Many mosquito bites at this location. I would suggest bring lots of bug spray. It would be nice if villa had insect repellent in each villa for use. The villa had many places that mosquito can get into villa. Not secure from bugs. Got many bite at night while sleeping. That being said, the villa didn't have lots of mosquito all the time.
