• Soljak (1/5): Never again - See other review. NO HOT WATER. No bag storage. Screeching door. No hot water was a disaster. I have a stuffed ankle and had to haul bags up stairs and in the morning my ankle was seized up and missed bus as it was not over the road as advertised at all. Very upsetting.

• Soljak (2/5): NO HOT WATER. Room old concrete and cold with screeching door. TERRIBLE - Although I didn't use them the kitchen and dining room looked good. No hot water. Completely off. No bag storage and had to go upstairs rusty old railings with a stuffed ankle. Door screeched horribly on room. Courtyard beanbags deflated so getting up and down was painful. Room cold block concrete. Linen clean though. Bustop not just over the road as advertised. In fact several roads over due to roadworks. With a stuffed ankle I missed the bus even with 15 minutes to try get there. Because I wrote a complaint to their FB messenger they made a "serious" complaint to booking.com and denied me to come back (because they were all.i knew and I've just left a DV situation I just wanted somewhere to cry and rest). Instead I was left sitting on my bags on the side of the road. There was opportunity to contact me about the hot water prior but no effort to do so. Appalling and adding insult to true injury

It always feels home to stay here, feels comfortable, relaxing and easy to settle into. Highly recommend this to anyone visiting Nelson :)

I had some issues with an other guest not respecting us in the room, staff said it was a recurring problem with him and they could not do anything expect moving me to an other room the next day.

• Petra (7/5): Good hostel when you need to save some money - Cosy place close to the town centre, bus stops and the parks. Quiet, tidy, well organized. Good price, if you on a budget. Perhaps the stoves should be a bit adjusted. Bathroom in the first floor need a little upgrade.

• Sceeles (3/5): Disappointing considering the upgrade to a private room, but not terrible given the price overall. - Common areas (kitchen and dining room) were decently clean and well-kept, after-hours check-in process was easy and nice outdoor tables for seating. We paid extra for a private room - our room smelled unpleasant and like sweat. The bedding was pilled and not comfortable, didn't feel like a clean stay. The shared dorm rooms appeared cleaner than the room we stayed in (from a quick peak in the hallways). The shower-head in our bathroom fell off while I was showering and the shower was difficult to get in and out of (much higher than ground level).

Es ist sehr hellhörig und laut, weil die Leute nachts vor dem Hostel auf der Straße rumbrüllen. Das Zimmer war heruntergekommen (abgerissene Vorhänge, in die Jahre gekommene Möbel)

• Gemma (1/5): Would never stay there again - Good location The room was not clean, it was infested with mosquitos and had a lot of dead ones on the walls from previous stays. There were benches outside our room and we had people chatting there until 1.30am. There were no staff on site.

• I (8/5): Nice hostel in city center - Greatly located hostel. The private rooms were cosy and confortable. Clean rooms and spacious communal kitchen. The outdoors space is nice and relaxing. No shampoo or body gel. No plugs near the bed. Some of the rooms are in 1st level and this might be tricky for those with mobility issues as there’s no lift. Limited parking available but it’s easy to find a spot in the main street (paid).

Accidentally left a jumper there, tried to communicate but no response. Only two parking spaces that were taken when we arrived. Kitchen looked well equipped but several hobs not working and space to store food in kitchen area was all full - I’m sure the hostel wasn’t full
• Maria (5/5): En definitiva, està bé si no esperes gaire i duus un sac de cotó o seda per dormir i no notar el llençols. - Molt bona ubicació! Cuina gran i amb molt espai de menjador. També una bona terrassa amb taules de picnic per gaudir a la fresca. Primer t’envien un mail de self check in a les 14h si vols entrar abans, com nosaltres, per deixar alguna cosa a la gelera, hi ha un telèfon a la porta, però truques i cap de les opcions del contestador funciona. Els llençols del llit una qualitat pèssima… plens de bolleta molt desagradable al tacte. I el ventilador del lavabo s’activa cada vegada que obres el llum i és insoportable el soroll que fa.

• Lianne (6/5): - Die Zimmer waren ganz nett, mit eigenem Waschbecken und großem Spiegel, allerdings war nicht wirklich Platz um seine Sachen abzulegen. Ich habe nie, weder beim ein- noch beim auschecken einen Mitarbeiter zu Gesicht bekommen und es war ausdrücklich beschrieben, dass, sollte man ein Problem haben man nur im Notfall anrufen sollte und wenn dann jemand kommen muss würde das extra kosten. Das fand ich Ehrlicherweise nicht so richtig cool. Außerdem sah das Gemeinschaftsbad so aus, als wäre da nicht so oft jemand zum Sauber machen.

• Véronique (8/5): Belle surprise d'un intérieur charmant bien organisé. - Chambre solo un peu à l'écart, paisible. Surprise de l'intérieur du bâtiment jeune, clair, original, très chaleureux. Table commune immense avec très bel éclairage. Extérieur bienvenue avec étendoir à linge et sièges. Salon en bas. Coin chaussures hors des chambres. Cuisine superbe bien organisée. . Merci à la personne qui m'a aidé à l'entrée à trouver la boîte à clés et m'a expliqué la procédure pour laisser un bagage pour 2 nuits car retour ici ensuite. La réception fantôme ou aux horaires trop restreints, juste échanges mails succints....La recherche très compliquée de la boîte à clé dans le salon, un vrai casse tête car trop cachée dans un recoin....Certaines douches avec une grosse serviette mouillée à l'entrée à revoir.

• Marina Eraker (6/5): A bit disappointing - Great location and value for money. Nice shared kitchen and lounge The room had cobwebs in the ceiling and the walls, seeming like it wasn’t cleaned properly. And there was a sign inside the room saying it was not allowed to drink, eat or keep food in the room (except water), a fee of 20 dollars would incur if this was found in the room. Which I thought was very weird for an en-suite, where I might want to have a beer and some snacks in the evening.
