• Alina (8/5): - Overall, our stay was good — the room was clean, comfortable, and we had no complaints during our time there. However, when we checked out, we accidentally left our water flosser (oral irrigator) in the room. We are absolutely sure we forgot it there, but when we contacted the property, they said they didn’t find anything. Unfortunately, it seems that someone just kept it, which really spoiled our impression. It’s a shame, because everything else was fine, but honesty matters too.

• Raquel (8/5): - Reservamos un apartamento para tres adultos y al llegar nos informaron que había un inconveniente y que nos acomodarían en dos habitaciones cercanas. Las habitaciones estaban limpias y eran confortables. Te esperan para el check-in pero el resto del tiempo no hay nadie en el lobby. Son pocas habitaciones y se siente solitario. El ascensor se dañó dos veces en los tres días que estuvimos y fue reparado cada vez. Quisimos cerrar el sofá cama en una habitación pero estaba dañado y no podía cerrarse. En el baño, la goma de la puerta no cierra bien y se empapa la toalla del piso. No tienes a quien pedirle un reemplazo. El botón del inodoro también estaba flojo. La ubicación del hotel es buenísima, hay muchas atracciones cerca: restaurantes, tiendas y lugares icónicos de la ciudad.

• ursula (9/5): - La ubicación es muy buena. En el centro y con cafeterías en la misma calle. La habitación nueva y moderna. Los colchones comodísimos y el espacio de la habitación muy adecuado. Solo hay dos habitaciones por cada planta del edificio, así que muy tranquilo. Una botellita de vino de bienvenida y una botella de agua en la nevera para cada uno. Si la habitación no está lista a la hora de llegada, puedes dejar las maletas en recepción, igualmente si al hacer check out quieres seguir visitando la ciudad.

• Susana (10/5): - The location was very convenient, with a metro station, restaurants, grocery stores, and a major shopping street within walking distance. The staff was very helpful and gave good recommendations.for places to eat. One of their recommendations to go to praca da poveiros which has several restaurants was useful more than once and our favorite was Ribeiros. The property was very clean and modern.

Our flight arrived early and they accommodated us as soon as it was possible. Leandra helped us get settled comfortably and made recommendations where to go andwhat to do. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

• Sidney (8/5): - Beautiful and conveniently located hotel. Nice staff at check in. Very nice room. Weird quirks to the room though. The toilet randomly started loudly running water for 10 minutes in the middle of the night (like continuous flushing), but finally it stopped. The fan on the bathroom automatically comes on with the bathroom lights and had a very loud and high pitched squeaking issue as it ran. It would be far preferred to have the fan on a separate switch, as going to the bathroom in the middle of the night woke others up easily. There also wasn't anyone at checkout, which is fine if you just leave your keys in the bin as instructed et check in, but we had hoped to leave our luggage with someone for a bit. Overall really nice hotel.

• Matthias (8/5): - Sehr zentral. Alles in 15 Minuten erreichbar. 1 Zimmer mit 2 bequemen Betten und kleiner Küchenecke. Sauber, rel. modern. Nachts leise. Tagsüber leider gegenüber sehr laute Baustelle. Rezeption schwer zu erreichen.
• Nathalia (10/5): Marsvilhoso - Recepção Gonçalves foi extremamente cordial, dando dicas e nos deixando o mais confortável e com todas necessidades atendida. A localização é incrível, próximo a diversos pontos turísticos, bares e restaurantes, conseguimos fazer tudo a pé. O único ponto negativo é que havia um banheiro apenas (estávamos em 5 adultos) e o chuveiro tinha inúmeras oscilações de temperatura, fora isso, quarto bem limpo, com ótima estrutura. Certamente voltaremos, super recomendo.
• Catalina (8/5): - On our recent stayed at Almada Wine House, we were very happy. Our unit is on ground floor, this building is not busy. Front staff was very welcoming. The unit came with a small bottle of welcoming port wine, coffee machine in the room along with bottles water which was very helpful with the hot weather. Nice and modernized fully equipped kitchen plus big dining area. Sleeping areas are perfect too. I took away one star because the washroom need to work on it. Water were leaking with the shower door so after your shower water was soaking outside the stall. Secondly, the washroom door was hard to close, you need two people to close the door. We loved the nearby eatery like some good breakfast place nearby. One more thing need to improve is the front desk because when you need extra toilet paper there is no one out there. But overall we definitely stay here again.

• Sorcha (9/5): Would definitely recommend this location - The location was perfect, walking distance from everywhere (as long as you don't mind hills). The staff were amazing and helped straight away even when our electricity when in the evening! The kitchenette was perfect for cooking and chatting, and there is a large supermarket just 5 minute walk away, and loads of restaurants too. It is very central so there is loads of buses around, as well as a direct metro to the airport and the stadium just a 5-10 minute walk away. Only thing I would say is there is construction across the road so it can be noisy, but it wasn't bad and comes with the territory of being so central

I believe mainly because there's nobody really at the front desk. They're there when you first check-in, they're extremely helpful. After that, you really don't need them. You come and go-as-you-please. It's like having a mini apartment. Definitely located to everything closely to all restaurants, markets, shopping. Anything you want to do any excursions? It's located, I'm close to those as well. My friends and I and my husband had a really great time and enjoyed our stay.There would definitely do it again

• Cassi (10/5): - We stayed here for 3 nights with our 2 year old son. I specifically looked for a property with a kitchen, a crib, and a hotel that was walkable to many places. This had everything we needed, the room was very spacious, and there were grocery stores close by to keep our son’s food on hand. I absolutely recommend this place for families. The only negative I will mention is that the beds were very firm and a little too hard for our liking. So, just keep that in mind.
• Fimagswan (4/5): “A deeply disappointing and unsettling stay – would not recommend” - “A deeply disappointing and unsettling stay – would not recommend” I don’t normally write negative reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. Sadly, my stay at Almada Wine House was extremely disappointing and has left me feeling uncomfortable and let down. Firstly, the persistent sewer smell in the room and throughout the property was overwhelming. It tainted the experience from the moment I arrived and was present in multiple areas – not something you expect when booking a quality stay. Even more upsetting was the issue of missing and tampered-with personal belongings. After housekeeping cleaned my room, I noticed that a brand new £97 perfume I purchased at duty free had gone missing. This alone was upsetting, but upon closer inspection I discovered that my makeup, face cream, and nearly full 200ml hairspray had clearly been used – despite the fact I had barely touched them myself. Additionally, coffee pods were not replenished after cleaning, which is a basic service one expects in this kind of accommodation. The worst part is the complete lack of trust I now feel. I’ve had to start packing my belongings every night, just to feel some sense of security in the room. No one should feel anxious about leaving their possessions in a place they’ve paid to stay in. Having personal items used or taken is not just careless – it’s invasive, and frankly, it’s theft. This experience has left a bitter taste, and I would urge management to take guest privacy and security far more seriously. Unfortunately, I would not return and cannot recommend this place based on what I’ve experienced.
• John (10/5): Great place to visit - Location was good for shopping, bars and attractions. On a quiet street as it was quite noisy in the bars at the weekend but good atmosphere. Quite a lot of construction work going on around the city. But it has to be done. Didn't spoil it fo us.

• amiraG5889MK (2/5): STAY AWAY - construction, NO service - I booked a room at Almada Wine House expecting a king-size bed and a living room area with a sofa — just like advertised. Instead, I received a room with two king-size beds and no sofa. When I asked about it, I was told the bed in my original room was broken, and they promised to move me the next day. The next day? Nobody was at the reception. All day. No follow-up. No solution. No service. Unfortunately, this was not the only problem: • Internet kept disconnecting constantly. • The next door building is under construction — loud noise from morning till afternoon. • Housekeeping come every secound day. • The safe was broken. • The shower head made loud, strange noises. • No real service experience — you feel alone in the hotel.

The lady who greeted me at reception was very friendly and really helpful with local knowledge. The WiFi was so annoying with cutting out every 30 minute s. There was some black mould in the shower.

• David (6/5): Left standing on the sidewalk at check-in time - ...after we had specifically answered the question "When will you check in?" and we were right on time. No one at front desk; no note; no call; no text; no email; no nothing. After 10 minutes on the sidewalk we were lucky to be let in by exiting guest who helpfully told us "I haven't seen anyone all day." Reached some one by phone and told "She had to go to another property. She'll be there any minute. 15 minutes later, 30 minutes after we arrived, someone shows up and checks us in. We were surprised that she was not apologetic.

• Neeta (8/5): Nice friendly hotel in centre of Porto - The hotel is central to all attractions and there is easy access in & out of the building. The rooms are spacious and clean but the beds are very hard. Basic kitchen facilities including a fridge.

• MELANIE (8/5): Central, pratique et bien tenu - Séjour en plein centre ville pour être au cœur des visites et faciliter les trajets avec notre fille de 5 ans. Besoin de 2 appartements pour soulager les repas et petits déjeuners. Chambre 1 - 2 personnes - sur rue : très bruyant car très central Chambre 2 - 3 personnes (canapé lit transformé en couchage) - sur cour - sans vue mais aussi sans vis à vis et sans bruit. En revanche forte odeur de renfermé (dès l’accueil) et beaucoup d’humidité dans la salle de bains (le meuble est moisi). Service de nettoyage super. Service d’accueil super. Localisation super.

• 724errolm (2/5): An appalling apartment hotel with no management on site in the evenings leaving one to fend on themeslves. - We chose it for peace and quiet. Instead we got two sleeples nights while some young party goers from another country stomped on the floor, moved beds around that rattled the entire floor and partied into the early hours. On the first night went up to them and asked them to stop the noise as we were tryingto sleep in the floor below. They said they would but they did not and we only went to sleep exhausted at 1:30am. The next night at 2am I did call the night manager who said he would take time to travel to the place which has no reception in the evenings (which we did not know about). It was only about 2:30am that he arrived and seemed to have finally warned the young people to stop their noise. We informed the managment that we hardly slept a full night sleep for two nights and got just a brief apology. We were also informed that the management did not have the email of the partygoers as their booking had been done through a third party. So we were in a highly prized place where there is no management and no immediate way to assist if the noise becomes intolerable but we have to wait until someone from elsewhere in town turns up to stop the noise. We would advise to avoid this place as it is potentially a place where one can be trapped without any instant assistance.
• Santiago (8/5): Muy buena ubicación e instalaciones en Porto - Excelente ubicación, instalaciones nuevas, el problema es el agua caliente, que viajando en familia de 4 personas escasamente alcanza para dos, y luego hay que esperar largo rato a que se caliente nuevamente, por que el calentador es muy pequeño. Hacen falta algunos tomacorrientes mas al lado de las camas. Muy buen detalle la botellita de vino Porto de cortesía, esos detalles marcan una diferencia.
