The building smells like pee and smoke. I went up to the front and told them I was checking out there is no way I was going to stay there one night much less 4 days! I paid in advance too so they better refund me! Absolutely disgusting!

- Steven (6/5): The short guy needs to learn mutual respect and stop his power complex - I like the main manager he seems reasonable the 11 am checkout is absolutely weird considering the audacity on how some of the employees act. Theres one guy from front desk thats always screaming at people to get out now like its intentionally traumatic and then theres a maintenance guy that just pops attitude smoke for no reason The price fluctuations no breakfast not really any amenities its super basic and theres always yelling wel not always but still its wild

- Valeasha (4/5): - The location was convenient for the funeral I was attending. The water only got room temperature. Never got hot or really warm. The amount of dog feces was enough to keep me from ever going back. It was like playing hop scotch. It did a dusting of snow on the day I was checking out and the stairs were extremely slippery.

- MARBELIN (4/5): Red roof mejora tu limpieza - Ubicación La puerta del
Baño estaba destruida con varios hoyos,
Había pelo en la
Bañera
El vater estaba sucio
La habitación apestaba a tabaco
Las camas estaban hundidas
Las sábanas estaban manchadas
- Olajuwan (4/5): Redroof stay - Quiet Roach infestation
- Kimberly (2/5): - Door did not lock roaches and room had a musty dirty smell horrible
- Teresa (10/5): Good - It was close to visiting family. N/A
- Whitney (2/5): - Only stayed 1 night
- Andrew (2/5): Stay away from this place - I was charged a 50 dollar deposit twice, and never refunded it. I’ve never not gotten a deposit back. Attracts a bad crowd as well..
- Monique (3/5): - Location The room floor was uneven. There were dirty walls. The shower wall had mole.
- Mirzaie (5/5): I don't like to book again - Nothing., really it was dirty and uncomfortable place It was bad smelling, noisy
- Clarence (10/5): - What I didn't like was the area that the Red Roof Inn was located near. But it was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- Joni (6/5): Not worth the money - The room wasn't cleaned well, there was a sticky film on furniture. Bathroom tub was very slippery. There was a charge to check in an hour early and the room was already available. Room smelled musty. The ac filters were filthy.
- Gwendolyn (8/5): -
- Torei (2/5): - I had to buy my own sheets/ comforter and pillows to put on the bed as the linen was stained, there was cigarette burns on one of beds. The pillows had pinkish and brown stains on them. The lamp shades were dirty and stained. I booked the room for 4 and only had towels for two, and when asked for towels from front desk was told that they were out of towels at the front and would have to wait until housekeeping came around later in the day to get towels. So we had to share towels so that we could get on with our day as we had activities planned with family for the day. We only stayed as we were not able to secure accommodation else were on short notice and my stay here was non refundable.
- CLAY (5/5): -
- Russell (4/5): - It gave the vibes of a drug house.
- Rosheda (2/5): - Windows didn’t lock and when we told the front desk they said they know and it’s safe. It was a bad smell inside and out of the hotel
- emilya (2/5): - bed sheets was dirty water not got hot and he tried asking for a security deposit
- Verified traveler (2/5): Horrible Stay - Red Roof Inn -123rd Cicero
I honestly don't recommend and will not return 😕
Mold on shower curtains
Nets
Odor - the carpet
Iron but no iron board
An Individual was allowed to come to our room with no key - let in front door.
Tv didn’t work properly.
Etc.
FYI. Pictures 📸 on site makes it just look good. They need to do better.
- Lucindia (10/5): - Restaurants close to transportation
- Jacinda (2/5): - The beds and pillows were really uncomfortable- the pillow was as thin as my pinky. Also, the rooms were filthy! our first room had a strange smell and the drawers all had dust and black marks in it. The nightstand also had crust marks on top
- chatterjee (1/5): - Nothing The room and the bathroom was smalling badly. The attitude of one of the two receptionists was not polite.
- Terra (8/5): - We stayed one night in the front building; found our room to be clean and neat; staff was friendly; location was convenient to our plans in the area. Plus, the price was right for our needs this trip. We would stay again (in the front building), if in the area.
- Frank (6/5): - I loved how there is stores and very close to everything you would need for the stay great area.
- Al (4/5): - Nothing to say
- Steve (2/5): Dirty - Room had bugs
- Joya (2/5): Good staff, terrible room. - The staff were rather nice and pleasant to interact with. No bugs from what I could tell either which is always a positive. The hotel in itself was very unclean and with poor quality. The room given to us had lots of mold on the ceiling and bottom of the door, a foul odor constantly, the microwave was not cleaned, and there were parts of the wall that were not patched up cleanly/properly. Also the window to our room let us view directly into a person's backyard and the curtains would not close properly.
- Cathy (5/5): - I liked the location. I didnt like the beds. Uncomfortable and only 2 pillows on 1 bed. Should be 4 pillows each bed for better comfort. Also the 1 pillows were so small and not fluffy
- Dwight (2/5): - It was not as advertised very dirty and in a very unsafe neighborhood
- Dyavarshetty (1/5): - I would never recommend this , the rooms were so bad Bathrooms, beds and water coming out from AC and coffee machine didnt work
- Raymond (2/5): - I pulled down the bed covers and found a bed bug. I took a picture of it, killed it, and showed it to the manager. I told her I couldn’t stay. She said I still had to pay. I left and called American Express. A very discussing motel
- Julius (7/5): -
- Stephanie (2/5): - DO NOT STAY HERE!!! LOOK ELSEWHERE. I booked two rooms for my family on our way to Wisconsin and thought its a Red Roof, thats a good place to stay. My son's room had a broken air conditioner. So it was freezing or off. BLOOD on the sheets, questionable goop on the sheets, holes in the walls, stains, black mold and the dead bolt didnt work. My son had to switch rooms. The next room there were cigarette burns on comforter, stains on sheets, the smoke detector was covered by a plastic bag, more mold and it had a weird smell. Needless to say my son and his gf were disgusted and upset about the stay
- Dominic (2/5): - I hated this property. My door would not lock. The TV did not work. The shower had mowed in it. The floors was wet. The air conditioning didn’t work.
- Corey (4/5): Is it too hard to clean these days? - Truth be told they were bugs. Bugs of all kinds that hid out and were under paintings, the microwave, and in the bathroom. The main blankets were dirty and had cigarette burn holes in them. The walls are chipped and coming apart and the floor was dirty. The bed was creaky and the carpet that was there was sticky and dirty. It was not a great experience.
- O. Lamont (2/5): Don't stay here. - The room was dark, only 1 lamp on one side of the bed. The door security lock was broken. The shower was dark colored with no light in the shower area to see if it was clean or not. The north door to the rear building had a broken lock. It was prevented from locking with a handkerchief. The room door was scraping the floor because the floor was puckered as if there was a flood. There were people hanging out in cars in front of the rear building. It was dark back there and didn’t seem safe. We prepaid for the room but left without staying. We went to a hotel a few blocks away and stayed there instead of Red Roof Inn.
- Bobby (2/5): - Curtain ride was not a play the bathroom walls, hair everywhere. The walls wasn’t clean. It just one horrible time after another.
- Keyana (4/5): - Floors were dirty in my room. Tub stopped up, as well as toilet. Sheets needed cleaning too.
- Annalee (2/5): - Air con was not working no other room for me to switch to no maintenance on call to have the problem fixed
- Megan (2/5): - You canceled my reservation while I was in the airport getting on the plane, leaving me, my kids, and the other 3 people I was traveling with without a place to stay.
- Estella (2/5): - I did not stay at red roof because they either lost or didn’t make a reservation for me. I checked 3 times before I made a reservation at another hotel
- Omeka (2/5): - The hotel was dirty, the bathroom door didn't close or lock, the chairs was taped up and nasty, the room smelled like cigarettes mildew, and like they tried to cover it up with some kind of fresh cent, and I had a non smoking room. There was dryer up fingernails polish on the floor, the mini fridge was dirty, the bed was extremely uncomfortable with a worn out mattress where you could feel the springs in your back. There was menstrual blood on the toilet seat...so that tells me they didn't clean. The only thing I liked about the hotel was the lady who checked me in. What got me is they charge a $50 dosposit just in case you damaged something (:/) I didn't have the energy to complain about my room because I was there for my cousin fenural. My stay was for two nights, I didn't sleep there my second night because the smel and Filth was so bad. I wouldn't even take my clothes out of the bag because I didn't want to smell like that smell at my cousin fenural. I wish I would have took pictures to show people the false advertising they have on line. Oh! I almost forgot got how the lamps had yellow stain on them and the walls was filthy as well. I would not recommend this hotel to any one, as a matter of fact I would tell people if you go to Chicago, avoid the Red Roof Inn on Cicero. I was very unhappy and disappointed with my half of day stay. For the amount of money I paid I was truly upset because I wasted my money on a very unpleasant hotel. 10 thumb down on that place
- Johnson (1/5): Bad -
- Yr (3/5): Poor - The blankets were dirty and burnt, although it says that smoking was not allowed and it was a smoke-free place, it had an unbearable smell of cigarettes and other substances.
- Randy (2/5): - The staff was probably one of the nicest people I have met around the area, but the room was not good. It was missing a shower curtain and the tv didn't work.
- Alisha (3/5): Not Worth It - Outside entrance doors locked. The property was nothing like it was shown in the pictures of a grassy land some around the property. We were on the second floor and there were no screens on windows. I was told that a crib would be available for my infant grandchild, the property manager know nothing of this. Upon asking for extra towels and a blanket the property manager told me that there were none available…upon leaving I walked past a linen room FULL of towels and blankets perfectly clean. I went out to get ice from the ice machine and caught the property manager with his ear up to the door at a room across the hall.
- Saipriya (2/5): Very poor -
- Angelina (5/5): Passable -
- Herrera (1/5): Bad -
- Kelli (1/5): Bad -
- makeyah (10/5): - I needed a decent room at the last minute bc where I thought I could stay with a relative, it didn’t work out. So I searched online and found Red Roof Inn. All o have to say is “they took good care of me at a reasonable price & I’d stay there again & highly recommend them.
- Maksym (1/5): I request a full refund due to unacceptable room conditions and unfulfilled basic services. - During my stay on May 15, 2025, at Red Roof Inn Chicago-Alsip, I stayed in room 402. The room had several serious issues: the shower curtain rod was torn off and lying on the floor (see attached photo), and both the air conditioner and refrigerator were not working. I reported this to the front desk, but they said it could not be fixed until the next morning. Since I was staying for only one night, this was unacceptable, and no alternative was offered. Additionally, I was charged a $50 deposit, which they promised to return within two days. I request a full refund for the stay and confirmation that the $50 deposit will also be returned. The provided conditions were unacceptable. Photos are attached as evidence.

- Kadeesha (8/5): - I didn’t have any amenities in my room for the entire stay. The staff kept promising they will provide but never did
- Lapassion (6/5): - Everything was fine for the night.
- Jennifer (10/5): - We visit chicago often and we always stay at red roof inn. We have tried other hotels but this one meets our needs more. We will continue to visit.
- Orlando (10/5): Exceptional -
- andraes2025 (2/5): Worst location ( 12340 S Cicero Ave Alsip) - I recently stayed at this location in Alsip, and it was a disappointing experience. The place was filthy, and there seemed to be a well-orchestrated scam happening. I couldn’t bring myself to stay any longer and left as soon as I could . I absolutely would not recommend this place .
