• Gernot (9/5): Tolle Lage und Kommunikation - Gute Lage, exzellente Kommunikation und kompetente Unterstützung durch Edgar👍 Große Wohnung, voll ausgerüstete Küche, Pool, Parkgarage, alles da. Zwei gute Restaurants und ein kleiner Supermarkt vor der Haustür. Mehrere Tage lang Umbauarbeiten irgendwo im Haus mit Presslufthammer ohne Pause. Tagsüber also keine Erholung oder Siesta möglich, es gibt aber auf der Insel genug Ausflugsziele so dass man flüchten kann.
• SCHMIT (2/5): Le pays: O.K. L'appartr : non merci ! - Voir la plainte que je vous ai adressée et pour laquelle vous traînez et me demandez trois fois la même chose. POur me dégoûter. Si ce litige n'est pas résolu à ma sarisfaction ,fini Booking et j'en parlerai autour de moi. Pas conforme.
• James (1/5): Back door lock was knowingly disabled by the owners and we were not made aware of this - We realised the lock to one of the 4 back doors wasn't working. We text our host who then revealed they had KNOWINGLY disabled this as previous occupants had locked themselves out so they needed a way to get back in. I asked for this to be fixed and said there was no contractors around who could do this until after we had left. It was really disappointing as we felt we had been misled as they hadn't told us they had done this until we raised it or provided a safe. The host tried to re assure us saying the block was very secure with CCTV, but the reality was a fire escape led directly to our patio and the unlocked door (as seen in the picture). As a result this was a huge safety risk and we were forced to either take out our valuables which was frustrating when going to the beach etc or leave them in an unlocked apartment which made us feel very uncomftable. The safety aspect was also a concern to my partner and would have been very worrisome if you had children staying. As this is a security concern this needs to be fixed before the apartment is let out again- if guests are locking themselves out a separate solution needs to be found to this e.g having a spare key in a nearby lockbox NOT disabling locks and not telling the guests.

• Sharon (6/5): A handy location for both the centre of Funchal and restaurants/bars going the other way. - The apartment is in a good location to get into the centre of Funchal with the bus stop just a few yards from the apartment building. The beds were very comfortable and Edgar, who we had the most contact with, was extremely helpful and accommodating. The kitchen is fairly well stocked, although a cheese grater would be useful. There is a large fridge and freezer together with a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer (unfortunately latter not working but that wasn't an issue). There is a massive balcony/veranda. The photographs on the site give the impression that you are facing the sea. However, those have been taken from the pool floor upstairs. The apartment is on the opposite side and there was no sun (because there is a wall just at the end of the veranda and a building above it) except for a few minutes about 11am. As a result the apartment is very dark and the lights need to be on constantly. The bathroom is in need of a complete refurbish - the floor is breaking up.

• arsalan (8/5): Wonderful trip and place to stay! - The position of the property is amazing and from the pool above, one can see whole Funchal and it has a really amazing view. The person who gave us the keys was named "Edgar". He was super nice and welcomming and was always available for any help. The property is well equipped with every required stuff for living. It was quite spacious and even had a separate large pathio to sit and relax. There was a parking place dedicated to the property under the building and was easily accessible. I think the warm blankets need to be more for some colder nights in the winter. The drier machine didn't work despite being advertised to work.

• Edyta (10/5): Pobyt w Quinta Miramar na Maderze to czysta przyjemność - Ogromnym atutem był ciepły i pomocny kontakt z właścicielem, który sprawiał, że pobyt nabierał jeszcze bardziej osobistego charakteru. Niezwykle cenna okazała się też lokalizacja - 20 min pieszo do centrum. Dopełnieniem całości było świetne wyposażenie apartamentu, dzięki któremu można było poczuć pełen komfort i swobodę, jak we własnym domu.

Ronald ensured that everything was perfectly arranged, making the check-in and check-out process smooth and hassle-free. Their hospitality was beyond expectations! The location was also perfect—quiet, yet close to everything. A short walk to the city center, easy access to supermarkets, and convenient parking made exploring Madeira effortless. Great bakery and restaurant just below the apartment. Apartment photos on booking.com were misleading regarding the pool and a view which was 1 floor up. The apartment could be noisy at times as the bedroom and kitchen windows opened into the atrium of the building which is busy from a very early hour as there is a bakery on site.

• Kris (8/5): Excellent stay - Good value! - - Excellent communication form the owner Ronald about how to arrive, upon arrival, super-friendly Edgar was awaiting guiding us to the apartment (even a small welcome drink was awaiting for us) - Large apartment with one bedroom and one sofa in the living room which might serve for kids - excellent location - Funchal center at walking distance - nice shared terrace/swimming pool on the 3th floor (did not use it due to winter time) - bakery just on the ground floor (handy in the morning) ;-) - inclusive of a very practical garage - the mattress of the bed was worn out, informed the owner who will look into this one - the terrace is quite large but the view is rather 'limited' to plants and trees (do not expect sea-sight here) - bring mosquito repellent/killer with you (there is some onsite as well) - they insects manage to get in when you open a window
• Antti (7/5): It was ok but I would not choose this apartment again. - Location is good. Low floor on the opposite side than sea -> lot of mosquitos on the balcony and also inside if door kept open. Apatrmant simply too warn - no airconditioning and ventolation fans too small. Two weeks without linen change is too much - especially when apartment too warm. Kitchen facilities need update.

Lots of local shops and amenities in the immediate area including a nice bakery! Ronald and Edgar were very helpful on arrival and in regular contact and were able to stay in the apartment until our late flight which was very helpful All was ok and served it’s purpose for our holiday. Air conditioning would be a welcome addition

It was stifling hot in a way that fans cannot assist with. We were there for 2 weeks with temperatures ranging from low 20s to mid 20s and we were so uncomfortably hot. Other issues include: - noise from cars downstairs - apartment needs maintenance- broken shower screen, dirty/stained curtains, broken curtain rod - inability to use 2 appliances at once, eg iron and washing machine - mattress on sofa bed so uncomfortable that we had to place a blanket beneath the sheets to pad it slightly - there is no balcony, only a terrace with a large wall behind so apartment is dark with sun only visible from about 2pm onwards - excessively loud creaking floorboards in bedroom
• Andenet (10/5): Loved Funchal and loved Portugal 🇵🇹🇵🇹🇵🇹 - A gracious gentleman named Ronald who met us when we arrived was super helpful. Apartment was nice and spacious with a large patio. Location was excellent and within walking distance to the city center as well as many restaurants, bars, grocery stores in the immediate vicinity. Would definitely use again. No air conditioning but plenty of fans in the apartment.

Host advised that the apartment would be cleaned at day 5 of the stay - never happened Suitable for a 3-4 days stay. Would not recommend for a longer stay.

Incomplete description of the apartment on booking.com. In the photos you can see a nice view to Funchal and to the ocean, however the apartment is in the second floor and there is no view and the only view is to the wall, and the bedroom window opens to the common area of ​​the apartment. The bedding and towels were old and with stains. Friendly staff but facilities need improvement.

• Michal (8/5): Unless you expect 5 stars, there is a good value for money (and Madeira is really nice) - Very useful - underground garage, swimming pool, not far from city center (20 min walk, good local bus connection, aerobus stop, plenty of restaurants nearby, really good bakery and supermarkets next door), apartment is for a couple sufficiently spacious, helpful local staff The apartment needs refurbishment, it is relatively dark inside due to its position (lights need to be on during the day), you have to shift beds slightly down to get enough space for a taller person, nice terrace is of little use - no sun coming during the day

There is a washing machine and a dryer, these are very useful especially if you stay for longer. We were with a baby and had some special requests due to this and Ronald did get us exactly what we needed, we really appreciate it. The apartment is spacious and clean There is basically no direct daylight in the bedroom and In the kitchen and it's very difficult to refresh the air in these spaces. There is a big terrace but facing a hill/wall that makes the terrace and entire apartment dark and there is no view to outside. The terrace gets sunny only in the afternoon Mosquito nets are missing in the windows, they would be very useful.

• Marcin (9/5): great place to enjoy Madeira - We are very satisfied with this stay. Cosy apartament for 4 adults, spacious kitchen and tarrace. You can find everything you need inside like a kettle, hairdryer and even washing machine. You also have access to an enourmous tarrace on third floor with 180 degree view on Funchal and a pool - WOW! The owner was waiting for us with the keys, responded quickly via whatsapp. In the building you will find a decent coffeehouse, a shop and a few restaurants (but rather expensive ones). Funchal center (like mercado dos lavadores or old town) are at walking distance (20-30 minutes), but a really pleasant one. We also loved free parking space in the underground garage - you won't have to look for a paid parking spot after a full day of hiking. The apartment equipment could use a little refreshment, for example the quilt was a little dirty. But it wasn't a big problem.

• Pidżej (8/5): Nice apartment in great location - Perfect location, within 20 minutes walk from the centre, lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. There is a parking spot in underground garage- great for those renting a car. The host was very helpful and has contacted us before the check in. He is also left a very nice welcome snack and wine for us :) There is a swimming pool on 3rd floor with amazing view of Funchal. The kitchen was fully equipped with all amenities. The apartment also has a washing machine. I think it is perfect fot those who do not spend much time inside but travelling around Madeira. I know there is not much anyone can do about that but lots of mosquitos... they really made it impossible to enjoy the big terrace. They also fly inside the apartment immediately if the window is open. I think mosquitos net to the windows are absolutely necessary here. Because of the mosquitos it is barely impossible to keep the windows open and let some air inside, there is no air co, sometimes it was just too stuffy inside, I can imagine it can be quite hot during summer time. Also, we run out of soap and toilet paper during our stay, would be great to provide more so we don't have to buy.

• Anonymous (10/5): Awesome place to stay - This place have very good location, close to city centre. Also worth mentioning is astonishing view of the city from swimming pool area and fact that host is very helpful. Would definitely chose it again in future.
• Ewa (8/5): Very good - Apartment is very conveniently located close to city centre, marina and restaurant strip. We mainly used it as a base for going on various day trips so we haven't really spent too much time in it. It is big with two double wardrobes and has very well equipped kitchen with everything you might need. It was very clean on arrival and had few sets of towels and made up beds with clean linen. The pool was great and rearly used by other residents and had sun loungers available. There is a bakery on the street level with fresh bread, cakes and lovely ice cream, two restaurants with good food and two small supermarkets. We enjoyed our stay a lot. No air conditioning was making it hard to sleep at night, there was two electric fans but impossible to sleep with it on but we knew that at the time of booking
• Robert (8/5): Amazing - Ronald - host - very nice & helpful person. Beautiful view from terrace. Good location: Near to shops, restaurants and bath complex where you can chill and take sunbathing after visiting this magic island. Mattress could be more comfortable (but this could be my subjective feeling).
• eva (8/5): - Séjour agréable, appartement propre et bien placé. Funchal et activité proche , accessible à pied. Propriétaire a l’écoute et agréable.
• Johan (8/5): Självhushålls lägenhet - Stor och funktionell lägenhet. Gångavstånd (ca 20 min) till Funchals gamla stadskärna. Inne i lägenheten så är man avskärmad från utemiljön, så upplevs lite mörk. Men som utgångspunkt för att upptäcka Madeira fungerar boendet väl.
• Jarmo (8/5): Quinta Miramar - Erinomainen paikka sijainniltaan.....sisäänkirjautuminen oli hiukan vaikeata mutta googlettamalla löytyi majoittajan sähköpostiosoite ja asiat hoituivat laadukkaasti !! Miinusta antaisin Hotels.com sisäänkirjautumisohjeille eli puhelinnumero oli väärä ja ymmärsin että majoittaja toivoisi nimenomaan sähköpostiyhteyttä asiakkaaseen.....

• Piotr (8/5): Bardzo udany pobyt. - Bardzo ładny i przestronny apartament.Na miejscu wszystkie rzeczy przydatne do pobytu,jest także pralka,suszarka,zmywarka i deska do prasowania.Basen był wspaniałym dodatkiem do tego apartamentu.Lokalizacja idealna -blisko do centrum,blisko do dzielnicy Lido .Taras jest wprawdzie zacieniony ale w okresie letnim było to po prostu idealne.Jedyna moja sugestia to moskitiery do okien gdyż niemożna ich zostawiać na noc otwartych ze względu na jaszczurki.
• Verified traveler (8/5): - Sehr gute Lage der Unterkunft und auch sehr sauber. Leider keine Klima in den Wohnungen und somit sehr warm im Sommer. Leider konnten wir auch nicht die Balkontür offen lassen da es viele Mücken gab. Somit wurde es nachts sehr warm. Pool sowie die Anlage wirkten gepflegt. Ansonsten haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und hatten einen schönen Urlaub.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Apartment - We stayed here for 9 nights over the New Year. The apartment was large and had everything you would need. It is in a very good location about a mile away from the centre of Funchal and close to the Lido promenade. It is quiet at night and close to a really excellent bakery. You need to contact the owner to arrange to collect the keys before you arrive. There is no air-con but a fan is provided in the bedroom. The only thing there is only one bath towel provided for each guest and there is no maid service to the apartment so you have to wash them yourselves. There is free wifi but it was really slow.
• Anne (8/5): Quinta miramar - Central och väl fungerande lägenhet. Nära till restauranger och busshållplats. Härlig takterrass med utsikt över hela funchal. Däremot var uteplatsen till lägenheten mörk och helt utan utsikt. Ingen sol på den.
• Sara (10/5): Spontan vandringsresa till Madeira - Vi bokade hotellet bara en vecka innan vi åkte och kunde inte varit nöjdare. Lägenhetshotellet fungerade perfekt för vårt ändamål och att ha tillgång till ett kök var väldigt uppskattat efter en lång dag av vandring i Maderias vackra natur. Läget var också perfekt för oss som hade bil och snabbt ville kunna åka till olika vandringsleder men ändå ville kunna ta en kort promenad ner till Funchal centrum.
• Mats (8/5): Bra läge, tveksamt kring servicetänket. - Bra läge, stod en del saker vid bokningen som inte stämde och orsaken vet jag inte om det var Hotels.coms fel eller "lägenhetshotellets"? Tex stod först att man tog 30 Euro för tor resa till flygplats som sedan var ändrad till enkel väg, det stod toalettartiklar ingår - men toapapper tog slut och vi fick inte nytt, trasiga saker på toaletten (tvåldispenser, toastolen hängde sig varannan gång), tog över ett dygn innan man fick ett ordentligt påslakan till den tredje personen som vi var samt dessutom fanns inte säkerhtetsskåp i lägenheten vilket stod.

• Louise (10/5): Trevlig lägenhet med perfekt läge - Väldigt fin och trevlig lägenhet som har ett perfekt läge! Mysigt sovrum, stort vardagsrum och kök samt en stor uteplats. Vi var två personer men lägenheten passar absolut 3-4 personer. Några dagar innan ankomst hörde värden av sig och frågade om vår ankomst och mötte sedan upp oss vid incheckning den aktuella dagen. Värden var flexibel och gjorde allt för att vi skulle få åtkomst till lägenheten fortast möjligt. Trevlig pool med solstolar finns också. Skulle lätt kunna tänka mig att bo här igen!

• Afonso (10/5): Muito bom - A quinta Miramar oferece todas as condições para uma excelente estadia na bela ilha da Madeira. Está muito bem localizada, tem excelentes condições, muito bem decorado é muito bom para quem viaja com crianças. Tem uma excelente relação qualidade preço. Na minha opinião, o único ponto negativo é o barulho que se ouve a partir das 8 da manhã do café de baixo.
