- John Charles (8/5): - We had a great 10 days - staff was great and having a store, laundry, and restaurant on site was convenient. unit needed a better stocked kitchen with a toaster and flipper for eggs. more pots and pans. better selecting of plates bowls and utensils. building is showing its age but everything worked and lots of hot water. a bit of a language barrier but we are in a Spanish speaking country and managed to make out alright. Pool was nice and lots of room on the beach.

- Martin (8/5): I had a wonderful week. - Well-located condo. The security is excellent. My unit has been updated over the years. The condo was equipped with cooking essentials and a stovetop. I had a wonderful week. Only slight drawback: I couldn't use my safe. It was locked in the closed position. I reported the situation upon my arrival. No one came to resolve the situation.

I agreed, thinking it was standard procedure….. But even now, after my stay, I still haven’t received my deposit back yet! I’ve sent several messages and no one replies. It’s very frustrating and unprofessional. On top of that, the room wasn’t cleaned for four days during my stay. I honestly feel like I was scammed. Be careful if you’re considering this hotel – it does not feel trustworthy at all.

- Brinley, Huw (6/5): - Found out that some rooms are sub let out , hence why the taxi drivers and uber cant find the location as the hotel is actually Cancun Plaza And not sea view apartments My room 3509 had a door switch on the sliding door , which was so hard to slide open as to it would turn the AC off even if it was for a second, it also switched off at night sometimes .as it was WIFI controlled to save power. THATS BS . No bottle opener, and water pressure was low The little bar near was good Nice food but they didn't like taking payment by card. otherwise, good basic Hotel and nice fast internet PS no Doona just a sheet and a thin blanket

Less than 24 hrs to go told to use WhatsApp. The tv, safe didn’t work for duration items in suite weren’t supplied as stated. The ad is misleading and overstated. They didn’t tell us about steep stairs to access unit. The lack of replies was the worst as they had my money and didn’t seem to care. The plaza is nice and there are many different owners.

Property has a restaurant, a small store and a laundromat. Staff was very friendly. Beach was very clean. Had a lifeguard small convenience store across the street. Two really good restaurants across the street more towards the North end of the hotel zone area but overall 8 and 1/2 out of 10 definitely will be going back. Maybe getting a bigger unit with a full kitchen and a larger balcony

Cons- Needs upgrades, it’s an older building and it definitely shows. I got the room with a separate queen bed on a “loft” but it’s a small space, you can’t stand straight. The ceiling had a huge crack. It has stairs with mini steps, without railing.

Peaceful and serene property. Rooms are not sound proof. Heard our neighbors quite a bit. Food & Bev service is slow, but OK... Speaking spanish was necessary... We would come back, had a great time.

I had just got out of the shower and someone came in without knocking to measure the sliding door. They spoke no English and couldn’t explain why they were there. We used Google translate and they asked when we checked out so they can fix the door, so we assumed they would come back after our stay but the next DAY we walked on to get ready for dinner and their was 2 men sitting in our room working on the door. I felt very uncomfortable the rest of the trip because anyone had access to the room.

Both times when I WhatsApped for 1 more it was said there was no one available at the time to provide me one . When I went down to reception, they told me they couldn’t provide me anything as the room we were in wasn’t part of the larger complex - so only communication was through WhatsApp. There was a long thick hair attached to one of the mugs when we arrived, a swimsuit hygiene liner still stuck to the cupboard, the stovetop didn’t work and it appeared that someone had cooked eggs in the kettle? (Long white stringy things on the inside sides of the kettle). There was also a mystery cupboard above the wardrobe that looked to be full of old used towels. We had booked for 7 nights but only stayed 3 before we decided we just had to go somewhere else

- Ronald (4/5): I wouldn't stay again - the location address is not correct. it shows the property across the street. the taxi driver was not happy, we had to ask someone to find it, and it's not signed. we were early to arrive and had to wait. the reception lady had us wait outside in the heat. the room was not in good repair, a little run down and in need of a make over. there are no good restaurants nearby, the ones near all had very bad reviews, saying expensive, bad service and bad food. they charge a deposit to stay. i don't know if they will refund it or not since they say it could take 3 to 10 days for the refund. we had to leave for the airport, and they wouldn't check the room and tell me if I get my deposit back. the reception lady would not give me a copy of the bill saying to get it online. she was rude. I'd never stay at this place again. beach was nice but all else was very disappointing.

- DEE (8/5): Quiet, clean, great view! - Our stay was very pleasant and although the room didn't have the features listed in the room that I booked (a couch) the room was adequate. The kitchen bar area was well stocked and we were pleased with having a small fridge plus a microwave and stove. The bathroom is beautiful, all new granite and tile but one feature even most hotels lack - the lighting and the distance to the mirror over the sink made it almost impossible for my husband to shave. A small mirror on a moveable arm might be an added feature. The pool area is very nice and the bar serves quite good food. The location was very quiet and people were quite friendly. We stayed 12 days and enjoyed our mini vacation.

My plane was delayed but there was still someone there to give me a key. These are apartments. The only suggestion I would like to make is that a bottle of water is supplied on arrival. Otherwise a perfect experience. There is a restaurant on the premises.

Very easy check in, fast communication and I absolutely LOVED the unit I was assigned. It has been COMPLETELY remodeled and will be staying here again. Room was very comfortable and well-equipped. Waking up to that view is the best thing and the pool is amazing as well. I give the host 10 stars for the quick responses/communication and checking in to see if I needed anything. Housekeeping was good. I felt at home and I’m looking forward to booking here again soon.

- Rachell (8/5): Would return to stay - My biggest critique to get it out of the way - the instructions to find the place could be vastly improved. The apartment is in a complex called Cancun Plaza which would have been a huge help in finding it which seems to be an ongoing issue. Our driver could not find it, people at the gate seemed confused when we initially asked and they told us we weren't at the correct place! Check in process was easy, front desk team were easy to work with and very helpful. The building is older looking on the outside but a lot of renos seem to have been happening inside. We booked an oceanfront room and have zero regrets. The view from bed was beautiful and one of the best we have had. The room was very clean, had everything we needed. There is a small kitchen (we didn't use it), the bed and pillows were comfortable (for us), although the bathroom was a little tight for two people it wasn't a big deal at all. Our balcony was a great spot each evening to sit out and enjoy the breeze. Fireworks were set off a few places over our first night so we had a great show unexpectedly! There is a restaurant on-site - we had breakfast, it was fine but nothing to write home about, same for the drinks. We tried a restaurant a 5min walk away across the street and it was pretty good. There's an Oxxo across the street which was helpful for waters although it seemed there was a small convenience store on the property too that we discovered. All in we would return for another stay here!
- ELDIABLOU (2/5): Crappy stay with a view! - I lived in this place 30 years ago and it used to be a nice one due to location and view! Now with all the management companies that handle the complex the place is a No No! Don't get me wrong, location is great and pool is nice, but the ones you have to deal with in case of any queries or sort it out a problem, are none! The room is advertised with toaster, griddle and freezer and some other amenities that once you are at the property they deny the existence and must be an error! I brought bagels, eggs and charcuterie for my morning breakfast and I had them cold. Toilet paper is delivered only one per stay (4 nights) as well the cleaning is once a week and I was lucky to have it at least one time! Nothing can be charged to the room because vendors are external but at check in they charged me a deposit of $4,400 pesos which is around $234 US in case of any incidentals and groceries! Irony huh? Management Co is two people from Argentina that have no sense of hospitality and handling a property. Room has 2 beds hard as rock and pillows like cement bags! The upscale linen probably is upscale in Vietnam or a third world country because is not up to par to US standards. You can see thru, it was like an X-ray of a sheet. A/C compressor is outside on the balcony and when you want to have your morning coffee outside watching the Sunrise? You better bring a towel because the heat of the compressor will make you sweat like a dog! Don't get me wrong! That didn't deter me from having a blast. Oldies music, watching sunrise, having a Puerto Rican lady as a neighbor and eager to have a good time with me? Definitely I enjoy my stay even though was a crappy one. Because we got drunk too! Other than that? Rubbish! Remember that reviews are very objective, and I dare to say humbly that, I am a very well traveled person and being to more than 50 countries in the only 5 continents (not 7). From tents, glamping, hostels to upscale resorts. Best regards Jerry
- Maya (6/5): - La propiedad da directamente al mar y nuestra habitacion tenia balcon con vista al mar. En general, la habitacion estaba limpia, la alberca estaba muy mona y tenia acceso directo a la playa. La comunicacion con la gerencia/recepcion/mantenimiento fue unicamente por correo. De ahi empieza mi problema. El tono del correo siempre fue pasivo-agresivo. Siendo un huesped, no me apetece que se asuma y se me haga saber que sea lo que pase es mi culpa. Problema dos, aire dejo de funcionar al segundo dia y se lo notifique a gerencia. A su favor, gerencia me contesto de inmediato para decirme que iban a mandar a alguien a arreglarlo, pero me recordaba que tenia que mantener el aire a no menos de 24 o 25 C para que funcione bien. Volvemos a lo mismo, comentario pasivo-agresivo en donde no asumen culpa sino que la culpa es del huesped. No me notifico a que hora iban a venir a arreglar el aire acondicionado pero si que me mando un mensaje a las 10 de la noche preguntandome a que hora ibamos a hacer el checkout la manana siguiente y nos recordaba que el checkout era a las 11 am. En corto, el trato con gerencia no me hizo sentir bienvenida.
- Julio (2/5): Terrible experience - I had a very bad experience.Well I had a reservation that was payed in full for this place and called for early check in they said it would be ok so me and family were after 12:00 tried to check in and the lady at the desk stated we couldn’t until 3:00 so went to the beach got in the water came back to the office still wet and the rude lady stated that i needed a passport to check she would not take my I’d or birth certificate I asked what we can do to rectify the situation as she rudely answered nothing and proceeded to go to the back room to eat cake with like five other members of the staff while no one attendant the front desk I was in the office for about an hour with another family that was waiting to check inn so they had me and family waiting in the car full of sand and still wet from the beach so I decided to head to another place and left. I can honestly say I’m never going back and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

- Mario (4/5): - This property advertises as a Hotel, but is an Airbnb-style "apartment", which in truth is just a hotel room with a fridge and a Microwave that on check-in you will be told is not under the management of the Hotel staff and the Hotel staff is not to be asked any questions beyond the check-in. You will be given a piece of paper with a Whatsapp Number to ask questions, which will only respond between "11 am and 16 pm". There was no safety depositbox in the room I moved into, a question which was ignored by the WhatsApp Contact. I would never book this place again.

If you want to try different cuisine then stay in this type of hotel use that money to dine in different place. The air not just leaked water but sprayed it out, this caused the floor to be very slippery and caused me to fall! No towels to clean it up, no one responded until the day we left regarding this. My knee is bruised and swollen from the fall. The restaurant is wayyyyy overpriced and the food was not even seasoned and was not good

We received the room almost 2 hours late but at the check out we were getting very aggresive message. The guys at the entrance are terrible and treated us like the worst, would not listen to what we were telling him and the attitude was horrible. Long story short I will never go back there and definitely pass the word around so nobody goes through the same. The breakfast restaurant didn’t open until 9 which is a joke for a place like that, also didn’t take card neither they try to fix the issue.
- Taqrim (10/5): - My stay at Ocean View Apartment was spectacular! The view from the hotel is just amazing!!!!! To see the torquoise blue water everytime you wake up in the morning was a blessing. The check-in process was smooth. Salma helped me with the check-in process. She is a a gem and very helpful. The apartment has a restaurant which was very convenient. The drinks at the restaurant was pretty good! Specially the Mojito! Salma is very sweet and made sure I was comfortable at all time. If I ever come back to Cancun, I will make sure to stay at this apartment because of how hospitable Salma was to me. I felt like I was at home. She was very quick to respond to my texts and answered all my questions. I received my security deposit back within 24hours of check-out. Didn't have any issues. The apartment was very clean and the room service was spectacular. It has a private beach and security guard around the place all the time. I felt super safe and at home. I would like to rate my stay 11/10!! I can't wait to visit here again. Thanks Salma for your amazing hospitality!
- Jamtl (4/5): Poor Maintenance. No air conditioning - Upon arrival, the air conditioning was NOT WORKING. The equipment is very old and lacks proper maintenance. Upon arrival, it was up to me to stay in my room and wait for the technicians to come the following day to fix it. This should not be so. No discount was offered for my extremely hot night and the wait to get the A/C fixed. It's the owner's responsibility to maintain equipment in proper working order, but they are absent and do not show their faces. Cleaning Services are supposed to be daily but it was not so! On the fourth-day towels and linens were supposed to be changed and no one came. This is disgusting! Had to use more valuable "vacation time" to request a replacement. The "remote' attendant brought me towels only. No change of bed lines till the next day. I WORK VERY HARD AND CERTAINLY DO NOT NEED TO BE WORKING DURING MY VACATIONS....! Stay away from this old place lacking proper maintenance!

- Daniel (2/5): - I had stayed 1 week, they changed towel only once! I asked cleaning ladies to change towel and they said they couldnt. Restaurant food is poor on that price range,but service of Restaurant was ok. AC remote controller battery was almost out, so i took it to the office to get new battery and they said no. And they said i have to contact Expedia. Shower presure was terribly low! It barely trickeld. Again, about towel, i didnt want the room cleaned everyday, so they cleaned 2 times, cleaning work was very good, but they didnt change the towel! Even it smells! Finally i chased them and barely got towels one time.
- Brennan (6/5): - Check in was really bad, there is no front desk so it makes it hard you have to be in communication with the manager directly. I called and emailed with no response and finally later I got a call hours later when I had already booked a nee hotel and had to cancel that one. And lost $130. Dollars very nice view though.

- gnarlygirl1 (2/5): Good view but bad service! - My husband and I got stuck in the elevator on this property on February 5. We were going from the floor to 4th floor and it there was a loud noise and the elevator banged to a stop. None of the emergency call buttons or alarms inside the elevator worked. We banged and yelled for help, and my husband had to pry the doors open from the inside. A security guard pried the doors open on the floor, and we had to climb out into the shaft and crawl out. When we escaped, the guard shrugged and said “it is problem, it’s broken.” The housekeepers we’re laughing and in Spanish made a comment about how we probably pooped our pants. Only way to talk to reception is through what app but it is slow or non existent once you check in. I contacted the number via WhatsApp and they finally texted back over an hour later and only said “we are sorry you had the misfortune of being stuck in the elevator.” Travelocity could also not get ahold of the hotel for a refund. Then, each day that it rained outside, it rained inside on one of the beds. There is no one on site to help you with your problems and the WhatsApp communication is horrible.

- Janabaldassarii (10/5): Better than an all inclusive - I've spent a week there. The place is pretty good. Beds are comfortable, Wi-Fi is good, they have cable and smart TV. Room It's fully furnished with a kitchen and a dining table. So we cooked most of our meals there, going to the grocery store and buy all the stuff to cook it's cheaper than pay $100 per day/person at an all inclusive hotel. We spent $120 dollars with all food and beverages including beer on it for the whole week. The view It's spectacular. They have a parking lot there. The building It's clean, a little grocery close to the entrance and have a restaurant close to the pool and a lady who do massages on the top of the restaurant in the afternoon.The owner is super friendly and helpful and Veronica is amazing,I loved to meet them. During my stay was the turtle seasion and I was able to help the volunteers to help the little turtles get out of the nest, was the most beautiful thing I could ever do. I'm counting down the days to get back to this place.

- Sunshine707222 (6/5): Beautiful view - What’s worth is just the view, swimming pool and the beach. The apartment is poorly decorated and equipped. They put us on a apartment that you could share and the door was poorly sealed and we could hear the neighbors as if they were inside our apartment. It was not a very good experience. They don’t provide you any maintenance or support. We asked to fix the refrigerator and they didn’t even answer. The safety also didn’t work and they didn’t care. And the check in person didn’t speak any English, that was also a problem.
