Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): Rather basic accommodation... - Access to car park not easy - parking spaces awkwardly positioned - room looked like a single with an extra bed pushed in - refrigerator did not work - room generally very basic and functional - fittings in very small bathroom rather basic - on returning to hotel after 8 pm it proved impossible to lock the front door of the hotel behind us (hence security issues)
Generally the price of the room seemed excessive in view of the rather basic and functional nature of the room and in my opinion represented very poor value for money
- Verified traveler (8/5): - location was amazing, historical district and shopping streets as well as restaurants just around the corner.
- Karl (8/5): Good for short stay - Good hotel for an overnight stay
- Simon (10/5): Alles gut - Leckeres Frühstück sehr nettes Personal ! Empfehlenswert !
- Verified traveler (8/5): Central beliggenhed - Pænt, net og billigt. God morgenmad. Alt meget "tysk" standard til fornuftig pris.
- mojjj0 (4/5): Wretched but convenient - We ended up booking this as we were approaching Wetzlar- this is what happens when you do not plan ahead. it turned out to be the most expensive hotel of the trip and a crushing experience.
its not all bad though - parking is free behind the hotels, near the bins. breakfast is comprehensive. it was 10 mins walk from from the old town.
the room was stunningly , outstandingly meh.overlooking the main road in the quite awful 70's side of town. No A/C meant that the window was open all night and it was good to hear local drivers racing around until 4AM.Luckily we were close enough the nightclub behind the hotel to ensure that the booming bass of the PA helped drown out some of the engine noises. You forget how bad some post war BDR city centers really were - Wetzlar obviously had a serious rebuilding job after the war but the impact was more Karl Marx Stadt than Salzburg
The hotel seems to be situated on an old shop, with some floor being used for massage and marketing practices. the door marked hotel Euler haus fruhstuck was literally a building site, full of rubble and concrete. The late night door didn't lock and we breezed in an out at will. this is not ideal but luckily germany is a safe country and full of honest folk
It was a bed for the night. an expensive bed for the night. Book ahead and make sure you have a plan or this is what happens.
- 429hemants (10/5): Basic, Comfortable, Convenient, Budget Hotel - Hotel Euler Haus was a perfect choice for business travellers as it is close to railway and bus station and also walking distance to the mall for shopping and food. Besides, the hotel has such advantages as their own free parking lot within the inner court, The Lahn River is just behind the hotel and a short pleasant walk along the river takes you to the charming Old Town. The breakfast was really good and the breakfast-room looks very nice. Though our double room was far from looking cosy, it was spacious and had everything we needed including the soundproof windows. All the staff were friendly and helpful - DANKE!
- irinas225 (8/5): Basic but comfortable enough and very convenient - Hotel Euler Haus was a perfect choice for us to kill two birds with one stone: close enough to Messe Frankfurt where we visited ISH International Exhibition and cheap enough if compared with the prices for hotels in Frankfurt am Main during the period of holding the Exhibition. Besides, the hotel has such advantages as their own free parking lot within the inner court, vicinity of the shopping area, lovely restaurants and the railway station. The Lahn River is just behind the hotel and a short pleasant walk along the river takes you to the charming Old Town. The breakfast was really good and the breakfast-room looks very nice. Though our double room was far from looking cosy, it was spacious and had everything we needed including the soundproof windows. And it was absolutely kind of Herr Udo Krumme to provide us with an electric tea kettle upon request so we could feel quite at home in the evenings having a cup of hot tea after a long busy day spent in Frankfurt. All the staff were friendly and helpful - DANKE!
- Gernereiserin (6/5): Unspectacular, but cheap - In the nice city of Wetzlar, full of half-timbered houses and history connected with Goethe and the optical industry, this hotel is located on a large intersection between train station and old town. The traffic does not molest, since it has double double-glazed windows (4 glass panes separate you from the noise). The rooms are ok, the bathrooms small, breakfast fine.
