- Delmas (9/5): nice - close to the interstate and lots of places to eat close by the washer and dryer don't take cards and no atm in the lobby to get cash out
- Ben (8/5): -
- Chevonne (9/5): -
- Christine (9/5): - Very good and fresh.coffee was great. Parking
- Rhonda (10/5): -
- Parkins (10/5): -
- Fail (8/5): -
- Castleman (9/5): A pleasure - Exactly what I expected from a Hampton Inn Elevator was very slow and only seemed to have one of 2 working
- Ralph (5/5): Won’t be back - Location The drunken parties spilling into the hallway at 11 pm and banging on people’s doors
- George (10/5): -
- Robert (10/5): -
- Constance (8/5): - Clean, nice property. It was a good stay. The guy at the front desk sure didn’t seem to want to be there or be friendly. It means a lot to be welcomed to a property and have front staff want to make your stay there nice.
Coffee needs to be better and more breakfast options.
- Kelly (6/5): - The room was clean, but the bed was stiff and uncomfortable. The elevator call button was broken on the top floor, but the staff did what they could to help.
- Laura (4/5): - This hotel is in desperate need of a refresh. Everything was worn and stained. The bathroom shower had black mold growing in it. The mattress had seen better days and was uncomfortable.
- B Lynne (10/5): Very convenient for our trip - Breakfast is always good
- Christopher (6/5): - Clean room
- Jessica (6/5): Not what I would expect - Staff was less than engaging nor personable when checking in and out. They paid more attention to their phones than helping us. Didnt ever greet us when going in or out of the lobby doos, seriously lacking customer service skills. Someone hit my car door and left a good size dent in it with their door. We asked if they had cameras and they simply said not that show the parking lot and went back to what they were doing.
Our vanity in the bathroom had someone else’s makeup on it from a previous stay. The tv was not a smart tv so there were two channels that weren’t news or sports to watch.
Elevator was missing some panels and some were loose.
- Terry (7/5): came into town for a funeral so not the best circumstance - Size of the room clean and smelt good location trying to go left on the main drag awful breakfast although free was terrible ate at cracker barrel
- Verified traveler (10/5): Family reunion - The stay was good. The only negative was in housekeeping. Not replacing the empty tissue box, TV remote was left in the bed under the hopefully changed sheets. Coffee pods were not left for the next day. The hotel staff was always top notch.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - The stay was fine. We’ve stayed here before. There was a dirty hand towel crammed into the shelf that holds the hair dryer.
- Jane (10/5): Great place to stay - Very clean, friendly staff, and a great breakfast! Would highly recommend!
- Pamela (8/5): - It was nice
- Jay (10/5): - All around great experience
- RandyS958 (10/5): I liked this hotel; I would come here again - I liked this hotel; I would come here again. Friendly people at the front desk and good service. I liked their breakfast, although the guy that ran the breakfast was about the least friendly guy that I have seen at a Hampton in a while. But the food was OK. I liked the room and the Wi-Fi was great, which was important since I was on a work trip. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Great stay! Clean, friendly staff, would stay here again!
- Milkman_01 (4/5): Dirty - Just to let you know we were very disappointed in our stay last night. We booked 4 rooms . My room the wastebasket was not emptied, there was a dirty towel on the bathroom counter and the tub was dirty. The other guys had musty, Smokey, dirty rooms and one had a roach in it . Not acceptable
- Sandy (10/5): - The property was clean & the staff were all very friendly.
- David (7/5): We usually love Hampton Inn but this one was a little disappointing. - The breakfast was adequate. About what you expect for a free hotel breakfast. The young man who was responsible for the breakfast area spent most of his time looking at his phone in the kitchen area. Tables were left dirty and it would take a while for him to wipe them clean. He did not keep an eye on supplies so I had to ask for half and half as that container was empty. The waffle machine was empty of batter as well so I requested more of that. The shower in our room had some really disgusting mold.
- 433latiaw (8/5): Comfy accommodations - I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is conveniently located right off of the interstate, in close proximity to various retail stores and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was also super friendly and helpful. Check-in was quick and easy and my digital key was available almost immediately. I would definitely stay here again.
- Alisa (10/5): - Front desk was amazing and so patient as well. Should give them all raises considering what they put up with on the daily. Keep up the good work
- Steven (2/5): Disappointed at Hilton - When we check in the refrigerator didn't work, no soap in the dispenser. These should have been checked after cleaning. The shower leaks and it was very obvious, even housekeeping when they cleaned the room could tell it leaked. Cleanliness in the dining room was next to nothing, only one middle age lady who was training another employee was cleaning the tables after people left. The male African American was in the back with the door closed, rarely came out except to get breakfast and return. The male with a red beard was watching movies on an ipod, never left the desk. My wife actually cleaned the coffee area because it was stained with coffee and or tea. We used hot water and the same with our table. This happened Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday during our stay. It may be independent owned but Hilton is on the name.
- Trehus (8/5): Very good -
- Debby (10/5): It was great no complaints and I would definitely recommend it!! - Nothing to dislike everything was great!
- Gordon (10/5): - Property and room well maintained. The service was excellent.
- John (10/5): - Front desk was excellent
The breakfast was ok
- Leslie (10/5): Very nice rooms - Loved our room!
- Brandon (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Rodney (2/5): - Didn't like that Fox News was EXCLUDED in Room TV... was only available in Lobby Lounge... Towels were small an washed out... bed pillows small uncomfortable.
- Ernest (10/5): - The Coffee was great ! That’s all I’m saying about breakfast.
- Glenda (9/5): Clean with comfortable beds - Sausage was an unappealing tan.color, but otherwise, breakfast was good.
- Bobby (2/5): - The staff was totally unprofessional, especially the older lady working the day shift on 4 Feb 2025.
- sailor17n61w (10/5): Great stay - The Hampton Inn met all my expectations. There were clean rooms, a tasty breakfast, and a convenient location. The staff was friendly, and everything was well-maintained. This was a reliable choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay.
- Amber (2/5): Not a happy camper - The room was not clean at all. We were too tired to go thru the process of changing rooms after getting all of our bags there, so we asked for bedding to change the beds. The pillow cases and sheets had hair on them. After all that, we found that the bed was falling apart. The tv remote didn’t work properly. Just not happy with the experience at all.
- Jerry (10/5): - Breakfast sausage very cheep grade
- Kim (10/5): - Great place neat and clean!
- Kevin (8/5): Not a bad place to stay for a few days. - That I got to pick my room. The breakfast. It was horrible.
- Diane P (8/5): - The breakfast bar was not kept up. I came at 7:05 and the decaf was not brewed yet. No oatmeal ready. Low on everything. This happened 2 mornings in a row.
- Bill (8/5): Very good - Breakfast wasn’t much
- Joshua (10/5): - It was a quick and convenient place to stop and stay with friendly service and easy check-in.
- Haile (1/5): Bad - I tried to cancel with no luck. Was told by Booking.com that they would cancel for me and wave the fees. Since there was a mixup Hampton Inn was no help in this issue. Hampton Inn no says they want allow to cancel. I booked the trip with booking .com so Hampton could not cancel but booking.com said they could help me and wave the fees now Hampton said they want let me cancel.
- Tonya (10/5): - Staff was friendly.
- SouthCarolinaBeaches (10/5): Excellent but an employee check is in order - Overall, the hotel is excellent. Very clean; room and bathroom very spacious; updated; attractive. As a whole, the hotel is clean and inviting. The only glitch was the breakfast attendant: a young man, very personable, but he was distracted by his phone and the coffee ran out, oatmeal and Raisin Bran ran low. I advised him of the oatmeal, but he went back to his phone instead of doing an overall supply check. Soon the caffeinated coffee was empty and people had to wait for him to start the brewing. We recommend the hotel and would stay there again, but this young man needs to get serious about his job or it will make a big difference in people’s perceptions of the property.
- Tocotronic (9/5): Superb -
- Kathy (10/5): Family reunion - The staff at the hotel was great. Always available and helpful. Our only issue was in our room a cabinet door was broken and not repaired while we were there. The trash can in the room was not emptied from the previous guest. There was no extra toilet paper roll in the bathroom. We would definitely stay there again, since these were minor issues.
- Walby (8/5): Good for our One Night Stay. - Checked in, spent an hour or so at the outdoor pool. Clean, not bad. Went up to the room. Also, clean, everything worked. Only issue was the sliding shower door in Room 302 wouldnt stay shut; kept sliding open during showering. Quick fix was to wedge a washcloth in the track next to door.
Mentioned it at check-out, hopefully they fix that for future guests.
Would I stay here again? Yes.
- S3180ZOdavidn (4/5): Dirty and smells. Go elsewhere. - Not clean and smells of mildew. Stayed at a lot of Hampton Inns - this one is the worst this year. Avoid this place and find somewhere better. It’s way overpriced for what they give you. I would give it a 1 star except I save that for any rooms that I wouldn’t even sleep an hour in.
- Brad (8/5): - Close to cracker barrel
- Jared (8/5): - The breakfast was wonderful. Staff was very nice.
- William (10/5): - Got there very late around 1 am. Was traveling with my daughter and her family, they were a hour ahead of us. Called and they let them check in early before I arrived. Very helpful staff
- R6152CDhollyc (10/5): Clean and easy to get to - Clean rooms, nice staff. Pets are allowed on the first floor and the gathering area is open all the way to the 3rd floor. Can be noisy during breakfast hours. No fitness center that I noticed, breakfast area was clean and each day the variety changed, a little.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Moldy and wet - -Check in lady never cracked a smile, never even asked for my I.D., and was outside smoking any time we needed her.
-Immediate impression of the room was that it felt and smelled WET. It was a gross, damp, sticky feeling that gave me instant headache.
-The floors were sticky under our shoes, and there was visible dirt/dust on almost every surface.
-There were nasty hairs on everything- even curly hairs on the bath towels. Even hairs all the way up by the ceiling!
-We had to shower when we arrived in the evening, so the room only got wetter, because there is not a working fan in the bathroom. By morning, the condensation on the mirror from our evening showers was still there! My hair, which usually air dries quickly, was still WET by morning.
-Without any ventilation, sleeping was really a challenge. The pillows and sheets all felt sticky and wet.
-There were stains on the shower curtain, a broken tub drain, and mold in the shower.
-The TV remote volume didn’t work. It would only go up, not down.
- LISA (10/5): - THE ROOM WAS VERY FRESH AND CLEAN SMELLING. THE POOL WAS VERY NICE TOO.
THE BREAKFAST WAS REALLY GOOD.
- chasity (8/5): Needs a little work - Seemed to be a nice hotel, breakfast was good, room was nicely decorated but left much to be desired in cleanlines, front Desk staff at check in needed to finishing counting her cash before even acknowledging me, standing right in front of her, morning shift was very kind and friendly at checkout, breakfast was good and well stocked
- Ryan (6/5): - The room felt and smelled wet. There looked to be mold in the bathroom
- FancyFree55 (10/5): Ninety-five Percent Excellent - This Hampton Inn has personality. It appears to be newly renovated, and attention has been given to decor and ambiance - earthy and welcoming - in the common areas and in the room itself. The location is ideal, adjacent to the interstate.
Check-in was fast and efficient. As requested, our room was on a high floor away from the elevator. We passed on the complimentary bottled water and snack and opted for the 500-point Hilton Honors bonus.
Our double queen room was large and very nicely furnished. The desk counter extended along an entire wall, so there was lots of room for luggage and groceries and miscellaneous. I appreciated the two ottomans tucked underneath - they served nicely as extra luggage racks. And I liked the wall art. It gave the room a homey feel.
Amenities included a flat screen, mini-refridge, blackout blinds, bedside reading lamps, coffee maker, iron and board, hair dryer, plenty of electrical outlets, and a very rare consideration in hotel room planning - a night light outlet in the bathroom. I can't count the number of hotels we've stayed at that lack this essential feature.
The bathroom was very large with plentiful counter space on each side of the sink to accommodate all our personal care products. I appreciated the full-size tub, which seems to be phasing out lately during hotel renovations. Nothing better than soaking in a hot bath after being on the road 10-12 hours.
Towels were thick and plentiful. I like not having hotels towels rationed. I also liked the wall dispensers for shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand lotion, and hand soap. So much more eco-friendly than single-use plastics.
I counted only two negatives at this Hampton Inn. One was the lack of an exhaust fan in the bathroom. The mirror, the walls, the counters got all steamy after a shower. The other issue was the sliding door that served the bathroom and the closet. There is no noise barrier when you flush the toilet, so the roommate gets awakened in the middle of the night if someone makes a bathroom trip. The room needs standard closet and bathroom doors.
I can't comment on the free breakfast because, after staying at dozens of Hamptons (and hundreds of hotels worldwide), we (organic eaters) understand that real food is rarely available at complimentary hotel breakfasts. So we don't bother checking them out anymore.
Overall, our stay was lovely. The bed was especially comfy, as always at Hilton brands. Oh, and the complimentary wi-fi was fast enough for photo uploads and standard use. We wouldn't hesitate to book a room here again.
- Douglas (10/5): - The staff are friendly and inviting. Very customer service oriented. I’d stay here anytime!
- Michael (7/5): Good - Paid booking.com and upon checkin said it wasnt paid. Billed credit card twice. No response back when message property via booking.com.
- Mickey (7/5): It was a hectic start but they got everything figured out. Good stay - I've completely forgotten their names but my reservations was messed up, no one could find but one guy went above and beyond, he cared and tried to help and did help. Thankful he was there the evening we arrived A lot of the front desk help simply said they couldn't find my reservation and that was it, I wish I could remember the guys name, he couldn't find it at first, but he did find it and he a big help!
- Sheila (10/5): - Friendly front desk staff!
- Leah (7/5): Good - Toddler was upset about the pool.
- Mathis (7/5): It was a nice stay but we were really bummed about the pool. - It was very clean and well maintained. We needed a new mini fridge and they replaced it quickly. The facilities were nice and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The pool was down for repairs all 5 days we were there. There was no compensation for that, nor forewarning. The breakfast was not made with real ingredients, no fresh eggs, meats, etc. Plenty of variety, if you are not on a restricted diet.
- Catherine (9/5): Superb - Location was right off the highway and the breakfast was great
- william (2/5): - Nasty. Pool was not even filled . Thats why we chose Hampton was for the pool and cleanliness . Absolutely the worst Hampton Inn that we have ever stayed in . Never again !!
- Andrea (4/5): Not worth $168 for 1 NIGHT. Nice staff but wasted $ - The layout of the bathroom was nice. Staff was nice & pleasant. I paid $168 for 1 NIGHT AFTER taxes. I saw drug transactions throughout the night outside my window. Mirrors were dirty, possible mold in the BEAUTIFUL shower, and rust @ bottom of the shower. and breakfast wasn't worth the price. The biscuits had no REAL tatse. I've stayed @ other Hampton Inn and they were great.
- KathyW472 (4/5): Horrible experience - Under construction, noisy!
Employees were all in the back room every time we walked in. Employee checking us in sent us to a room that had not been cleaned. Beds slept in, bathroom disheveled. Second room on a low floor, we asked for high floor. Room was unappealing. We had to ask for a bottle of water and snack - we are Gold members. Non of the Hilton properties know about this.
- Robyn (10/5): - I don't know when this place was built but it appears BRAND NEW! What a clean and well maintained hotel.
- Candace (6/5): - Landscape was not kept up with trash. Was overflowing
- Rhonda (7/5): Very disappointing with pool being out again. - Very nice rooms Pool has been broken and unusable with no advance notice. This has beeb 2 years in a row. No accommodation or discounts offered. We do not see us returning to this hotel.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb - Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast area nice, breakfast good.
- 663janete (8/5): Very clean and easy access to Interstate. - The hotel room was very clean. Staff were friendly during check-in and easy parking. Definitely would stay here again.
Note: Air conditioner smelled moldy when it turned on. I reported it to the front desk so hopefully it was looked into. Didn't appreciate the smirks/undertone while check-out!
- Verified traveler (6/5): Newport 1 night stay - Breakfast was great. Customer service was really good. Pool was dry, so the kids were disappointed.
- Angie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeff (8/5): - Fine
- Jan (8/5): - Property is right off interstate but quiet. This Tim the young woman at the desk was not courteous, when she was looking for my reservation she said,
“Name”, did not recognize me as a Hilton Honors member, did not offer water and did not mention breakfast. It was quite a change from the person at the desk when I stayed there a little over a week ago and who was gracious.
- Jason (10/5): - Easy to find. Convenient location
- Susan (10/5): - It was very clean and quiet
- David (10/5): Exceptional - Location
- Jan (10/5): - The hotel was clean and comfortable including common areas. It was in a safe part of town and easily accessible from interstate. The breakfast was above average and the staff was friendly and gracious. I will stay here again.
- Juan (10/5): - No comments
- Osborn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (10/5): - Check in was easy. There were ample luggage carts. The room was clean and comfortable. There was a nice variety of breakfast choices. Getting back in I 40 was a breeze.
- Nancy (10/5): - It was really nice to be and I even had pets. Everyone was fabulous here
- Paula and Darrell (10/5): - Perfect location for overnight stop.
- DRojasor (10/5): Not all Hampton Inns are created equal . . . - We visited two Hampton Inns one night after the other, both had been recently renovated, and the difference between the two was stark. From our experience this place certainly did it right !
The whole feel and decor of the place felt far more elevated than any Hampton Inn we have stayed at.
The room was spacious and well appointed, and was bright and modern. Bathroom had a decent shower- thankfully not a shower over bath, or shower curtain in sight.
The staff were friendly and courteous, and were quite rightly proud of the recently decorated and re-opened hotel.
The breakfast buffet was standard Hampton Inn fayre, but the dining area was much brighter and felt less cramped than most.
Between the convenient location so close to Newport, the free parking and the hotel itself would definitely recommend this place.
