• Robyn (8/5): Good choice for short trip - Convenient location, helpful and kind staff, enjoy a complimentary beverage, reasonably clean. All the basics are there, and the communal game room can be nice. The rooms are not carpeted and don’t have much upholstery/soft surfaces, which I liked. A little loud over the weekend. Rooms are pretty small. Parking is not associated with the property and somewhat confusing. Can use the lot across the side street for medium-ish rates or may be able to find free street parking on side streets.
• Kathleen (9/5): - Very fun decor and fun vibe to the place. Lots of board games, hammocks on every floor, Photo Booth downstairs and complimentary drink with stay… it was great! Staff were quite helpful. Cute dogs at the bar at night.
• Champion (8/5): Great affordable place in a great area close to things to do. - Cute place, mellow and slow paced which we liked. Many places in walking distance. Fun things to do if you're at the hotel. We would have wanted a fridge in our room since you end up eating out when you're on vacation. That was the only annoyance.

• Kimberly (8/5): - Clean and felt friendly and safe. It was a fun vibe with lots of activities to do on site if you want to treat the lobby as a fun living space. The doors shut so loudly that it woke me up. And it wasn't how they were being closed, it's just how the doors are.

• Ahmed (3/5): The noise level was unbearable in the hallway and lobby (laud music) - The best thing is that it has a hard floors, I hate carpets. And it was close to where I want to be. The noise level was unbearable throughout the day and night. Lobby music is so laud, you cannot be on the phone or read and relax. Karaoke went on until midnight, and there was constant disruption and noise in the hallways (people actually stand in the hallway. Even telling them did not work. It went well into the early hours. I contacted the staff multiple times, but the situation did not improve. I visited there to be a friend with cancer and needed to rest well, which I did not get from this hotel. I had six days and then added 4 days because it was convenient location to be closer to my friend. The hotel itself is very small — you could easily find more spacious accommodations for the same price. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone seeking rest or professionalism.

Many walkable shops, restaurants, lake/trail system. Cute neighborhoods along the side streets. Overall really liked how lively it seemed. Several typical hotel amenities are only available in the lobby (fridge, microwave, coffee, ice, etc.). I didn’t mind this, but some might! The main street neighborhoods are active but sometimes in a somewhat aggressive/intimidating way.

• Aron (8/5): Great. Bathrooms needs rethinking. - Ivy was awesome. Place smelled great. There was a communal fridge. It was well decorated. There was a hammock. Sliding barn yard door for bathroom, glass window to bathroom, and lack of fan in bathroom. I was sharing the room with a friend. Having bathroom privacy would have been nice. The bathroom door opened by itself, you could everything, and if we had to have used it - you would have been anle to smell everything.

The hotel was clean and had a very funky cool vibe. The room was pretty small. We were disappointed there was no fridge. They offered refrigeration in these strange locker things in the lobby. But who wants to leave the room to get a refreshment. They charged a $300 additional room charge for damage control. It did get refunded a few days after we checked out. They don't accept cash? The neighborhood is rather sketchy. We saw numerous drug related items on the streets.

• jamiesonh2017 (10/5): For Monthly Business Travel, Moxy is the only way to go. - I have had the pleasure of staying at the Uptown Moxy for the last 9 months. I come for business, every month, for 3 to 14 days, flying from Vancouver BC to Minneapolis MN. Thomas(Mgr) & Maggie(Bar) are seriously impressive people. They provide a welcoming atmosphere, they welcome guests with open hearts. Thomas makes my stay memorable, helps safeguard tens of thousands of dollars of equipment i have sent to them for safe keeping for a few days at a time before my arrival and always takes the time and effort to see how my worldly travels are going. Maggie make awesome drinks, never lets me have an empty glass, and together, they provide a youthful and insightful review of the local bar, club, and restaurant scene. When I come to MSP, this is the only place I will stay... Location is great, Atmosphere is great, rooms are always clean, the value and price is off the hook, the cleanliness is as expected, clean and perfect, and the noise is never an issue. Top notch service, excellent amenities, its a home away from home.

• X8593LCjennaj (2/5): Experience was not ideal. - I paid months in advance because my husband and I made plans to see Final Fantasy for his birthday. This is something I had to plan far in advance because majority of my paycheck goes to bills. We get to the hotel and the check in individual said my card wasn't working. I have no idea why, I had used it twice before on the same day... I called my bank and they said that there was no transaction from the hotel at all, no declined transaction no nothing, as if it had never been swiped. The bank assured me my card was working and everything was fine. I went back inside to ask if they would swipe it on the other machine, I was told no because if wouldn't work anyways, that even though it is a different machine that they are linked. I'm unsure of that mainly because whenever someone's card didn't work at the businesses I worked at... you used the other machine or tried little tricks that would normally allow for the swipe to be recognized. I was told I would have a refund in a few days, i guess we will see.... im bumbed out because I don't just have extra money for a different hotel on hand and I made sure (because im an anxious person) everything for the hotel was in order before leaving. Reading the emails, making sure I didn't have to do anything extra etc. So what I'm getting at is we drove quite a ways to be left without a hotel room we had paid for in advance. Everything on my end is working and they wouldn't even try other options with the card... hopefully I see that refund. Take away is that I'm very disappointed with the staff there and I'll never recommend it to friends or family. Also there is no parking which is weird for a hotel They do advertise parking in a lot that you have to pay for so have extra money for that. Cause it's not cheap. 0/10, do not recommend.

• N Pulcini (9/5): 5/5 — Great stay at the Moxy Uptown Minneapolis! - Great stay at the Moxy Uptown Minneapolis! We loved everything about our stay at the Moxy Uptown. The vibe is exactly what you want—modern, energetic, and just the right amount of quirky. The location couldn’t be better—steps from great food, bars, and shops, but still easy to get around the city. Every staff member we met was friendly, helpful, and clearly loved working there. The bar was a highlight—fun atmosphere, great drinks, and a perfect spot to start (or end) the night. We’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Minneapolis! The only downside was that the wall are a little thin but we only heard noise one early morning.

The free drink we got at the bar was just ok. A guy had his dog at the bar on the counter. The Moxy downtown is way better than uptown. We will never stay here again. It wasn’t worth the money.

There are several games to play in the bar area, and events held throughout the week (trivia, karaoke, etc.) Every single one of the staff was amazing, kind, and helpful! The location is great, there are several restaurants, bars, and cafes within walking distance. The rooms are small, but clean, stylish, and modern. Zero complaints about the moxy uptown. Great experience.
• Tim (8/5): - We enjoyed our stay at the Uptown Moxy. The property is a good value. However, there are some issues to consider before booking such as: no refrigerator or safe in the room. The parking is not free, and is across the street. Lake St. is extremely "urban" and I wouldn't recommend venturing too far off the property.

Yes, the rooms are small, but they hey have all you need including a very nice bathroom. • delfuego2016 (2/5): Find another hotel at any cost. - Let’s start with parking; well there is none. They advertise you can park in a lot for $18/day, but when you get to the desk at 6pm, it’s $26/day and not available. The less than helpful front desk clerk said you’ll need to find something on the street. He also started every sentence with “as I said”. I’ve checked into hundreds of hotels all over the country and never had such a condescending front desk clerk. Room: this could be the tiniest room I’ve ever stayed in and that includes Manhattan. There is no fridge, coffee maker, or any type of credenza to set things on. You do have a drop down wall desk that is 12x24 to work at, but the “chair” available to sit on is no more than a 12x12 stool. I did like the automatic sound machine with adjustable dial. The bathroom sink was a slow drain, and the toilet was a large square. I’ve never seen a squat toilet seat! Regardless, it was way too big for a normal sized rear-end. Staff: I encountered several staff and all were so unbelievably rude I would avoid this place based solely on this fact alone. Marriott should retract their name from this hotel immediately. I asked for a spoon - use a stirrer- I asked specifically for a spoon “WELL WERE OUT!” Same friendo, same. Never again!
• JusticeTwo (4/5): Cool vibe with no service left us cold! - Where’s the service? We stayed at the Moxy to visit our family who live nearby. We appreciate the convenience of the location, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. We were here for three nights and not once did anyone from the hotel staff enter our room to make the bed, change out the towels, empty the trash or do any of the normal things that you expect when you stay in a hotel. After the second night with no service, I asked the front desk to make sure that our room was made up today. We returned to the room at 11 PM, to find it in exactly the same shape It was when we left this morning, with dirty towels on the shower floor and a completely full waste basket. this level of “service” was absolutely inadequate and we will not stay at this hotel again.
