Guest Reviews
- Holly Cleland (9/5): Enjoyed my stay very much, Grounds are beautiful, small beach across the street. Highly recommend - No breakfast. Location was excellent because my niece was living close by. Otherwise, 15 minutes to town. One
expensive restaurant near by. The facilities were pretty much as stated and pictured. Maybe a little bit worn. The kitchen had was bare minimum for utensils, etc.
Essen dort gut, Wifi Fehlanzeige. Nur wenn man 50 Fdollar zahlt. Unverschämt. Also gleich Lebensmittel aus Savusavu mitbringen.
Hier 250. Nur die Kochmöglichkeit ist nicht so toll. 2 Platten - also eher was fürs einfache Kochen oder Warmmachen.
Großer Kühlschrank!!! Gegebenenfalks nach Besteck oder Küchenmessern fragen.
Achtung: Türen schlueßen wegen Moskitos. Ab 16 Uhr draußen erhöhtes Aufkommenv(wie überall).
- Linda (8/5): - Very quiet and private. Star gazing was exceptional
- Tamara (6/5): Staff was great, and the owner was very accommodating when we had to change our plans. - Quiet and peaceful. WiFi was very poor in the 3-bedroom house. The location of the listing was not accurate. It said it was in Savusavu town but it was almost 10 miles out of town.
- Tamara (6/5): The staff was great, and the owner was very accommodating when we had to change our plans. - Quiet and peaceful Wi-Fi was poor in the three bedroom house. The location of the property was inaccurate.
- Tamara (6/5): The staff was great, and the owner was very accommodating when we had to change our plans. - Quiet and peaceful. Wi-Fi was poor in the three bedroom house. The listing location of the property was in accurate.
- PECKHAM (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Pascal (7/5): Good value place, service can be improved - Big, well equipped, good value. If you are into snorkelling, nice coral reef 100m from the shore. No one when I arrived, despite providing arrival time - 15mn wait. I understand there can be power cuts lasting into the night so it would be nice to provide a torch or candle. Note: I didn’t get reception with Digicel.
- Sara-Jayne (8/5): Quiet area, beach just 1 min from the accommodation, good breakfast, plenty of space and a lot of snorkeling… - The beach at just 1 min and delicious breakfast Everything was fine
- ALI (8/5): - The location was great. Quiet place with amazing ocean view.
- Preya (7/5): Overpriced and Poorly Maintained - Location/ views
Quietness I was very disappointed with my stay. The fans were full of dust, which triggered allergies and asthma attacks. The bathroom sink became blocked after every use, which was very inconvenient. The bedsheets smelled unpleasant and were stained, which is unacceptable—especially considering the high price of the accommodation.
Sparking power points, which felt very dangerous. For the amount being charged, the overall condition and cleanliness did not meet my expectations at all. The owner needs to take these issues seriously and improve maintenance and hygiene standards.
For anyone looking for a better experience, I highly recommend Koro Sun Resort — it was amazing and far exceeded my expectations.
- johnsen (7/5): - The staff made up of Delisa and her family were very nice and willing to help with anything. The grounds were very well maintained. Cabin 4 has a great ocean view. The staff receives a 10. I was not given the room I was shown a picture of (the one with the ocean view). The room I was given for the first two nights had no ocean view and the AC was not working correctly. We got moved to cabin 4 for the last two nights but it was a pain to move. The rooms were not supplied with shampoo or any kind of soap to do dishes etc. The owner is from New Zealand and was AWOL during our visit. It appears from the outside that he is overworking his staff and not doing enough himself.
- Ranjit (7/5): Great holiday destination - Location Bit hot in the rooms due to no Air Condition
- Gerald (10/5): -
- Brian (10/5): Perfect spot in a beautiful location with wonderful hosts - Beautiful, convenient and very friendly. Nothing
- Sashi (8/5): - Host was extremely kind and helpful and very friendly
Will go there again
- Gerald (10/5): Perfect if you want to stay off the beaten track - Silent, clean snd friendly and a nice little beach
- Conroy (9/5): -
- Amelia (6/5): -
- Tianah (8/5): -
- Amelia (7/5): Beautiful location near the beach. Staff was friendly - Access to the beach Nothing
- Sarah (10/5): Just idyllic with the perfect host and everything you need. - We had the most amazing time staying here. The house we stayed in is beautiful, spacious, and such a great price for what you get compared to a little blue property down the road beginning with S and also better than the resort just down the road, the coast line is just amazing but here it’s better than the other places on the island we visited. It’s right on the beach, and the location honestly couldn’t be better — safe for kids, perfect swimming for little ones as the reef stays shallow for a good 20m out but then off that some of the best snorkelling on the island just steps from the door. It was even better than some of our diving trips we paid a lot for although occasionally choppier water.
During our stay we saw reef sharks here, sea turtles, a million different fish and even swam with wild dolphins just from this cove — such a rare and magical experience. The water is crystal clear, and every day felt like living inside a nature documentary.
Clark the owner was outstanding. He cooked a few meals with us, showed us around and up to the sunset view and walked us out to other swimming spots and reefs, and even took us out to explore and offered lifts, a kite surfing lesson and had all the snorkels, goggles and reef shoes to borrow. We also loved catching the local bus to the market which stops just outside if you flag it down. This made our stay just so much more affordable too. I was here for Tony Robbins life health wealth mastery and it was MILES better and cheaper than the accommodation recommended. I even had a juicer and smoothie maker and hired a car, this meant I saved hundreds by taking my own food in and not paying for the food supplement.
This place was everything we hoped for and more. We cannot recommend it highly enough and would come back in a heartbeat. We stayed in one of the one bed ones but the three bed house at the front would suit a large family easily. There is enough to do on the island for at least a 3 week stay like we did. Nothing.
- David (10/5): Above and below water! - Bula bula,
First off we would like to give our regards to Delisa, she was the perfect hostess. Helping us with everything we needed, making us feel at home away from home, and feeling like part of the family. She is awesome and kind.
The kitchen was well equipped to prepare your own food, all the appliances were in good working order, the bed is huge and the fan and or air conditioning was a treat.
We loved the location, right across from a good beach and fantastic snorkeling. We had been 2 months in Fiji, traveling about, in and around the Islands, snorkeling in many places. But this was the highlight location. We saw things from small, Nudi Branches, to big, Black tipped sharks, and everything in-between out in the reef there. So if you're into snorkeling this place is super. The surrounding reef is also in a protected marine area.
The location is also in a good spot to catch local buses into Savusavu, or to get a taxi to where you might want to go.
Looking forward to staying with you again.
Vinaka! It rained, but hey, it was the rainy season, to be expected!
- Cody (8/5): -
- David (9/5): Wonderful - Clean and very friendly staff No experience
- Koroisavou (9/5): A memorable family Time - The Accommodation was warm and felt right at Home. My kids loved especially having access to our own private beach front. Although, there was no air-conditioning and mobile connection was poor. The facility offered free wifi however it was not that strong. But it meant more family time.
- Kumar (10/5): - Everything was so nice at the facility. Me and my husband's visited for our honeymoon trip and indeed it was a nice place to stay over. Quite calm and no disturbance. We really loved the place.
- Rajneeta (10/5): Can't wait to go back to this place, so relaxing, peaceful andheavenly. - Vosa Ni Ua Lodge Fiji is a very peaceful and beautiful place, surrounded with beautiful flowers and greenery a total nature vibe with a beach front view perfect place away from city life. Perfect white sandy beach with beautiful beach to relax at, snorkeling, and other fun water activities. I enjoyed my stay, this being my fourth time staying at the
Lodge. The facilities are great, very friendly and helpful owner. My absolute favourite place 💖Highly recommend this Lodge. 💖 .
- Bird (10/5): Booked for two nights and stayed for six! - The property is beautiful, it has a magnificent outlook, seconds away from the beach. The self contained villas are private, clean and tidy, and well maintained. Clark and Liza are welcoming and helpful.
Loved our stay.
- Ruby (10/5): Slow down and savour Fiji at its most authentic . - The location, the Bure styled accomodation , the helpfulness of staff. On the first day I might have said the weak wifi was a negative but actually limiting my access to social media became part of the relaxation .
- Dr. Malte (10/5): - We stayed at Fiji Lodge Vosa Ni Ua for one week with our family. It was the very best experience during our three-week Fiji holiday. The lodge we stayed in (a house with three bedrooms, a kitchen, a bathroom, a separate toilet, a very big dining room, and a large veranda) has a stunning view, is well equipped, and has a nice garden where we could sunbathe. Clark, the owner, welcomed us like his own family. He showed us the best places to snorkel. There are great corals right at the beach next to the house. Also, he went out of his way, offering us several additional activities like stand-up paddleboarding, SUP kiteboarding, and ukulele lessons. The caretaker, a very friendly Fijian lady, cleaned the house regularly, made breakfast for a small additional fee, and took care of our laundry. One evening her family even prepared a traditional "Lovo" meal for us. It was absolutely delicious!
There are many things to do in the area. One day we went canoeing in a saltwater river and lake. Restaurants are found in Savusavu. There you can also get all the supplies needed to cook for yourself.
There is a public bus stop right next to the house, and you can use taxis. We preferred to have a rental car during our time in Fiji. I highly recommend Vosa Ni Ua!
- Sheerwood (9/5): Unforgettable - We can’t thank Clark, Dlisa and her family enough for the incredible memories we took away from our 3 week stay in August.
My husband celebrated his 60th birthday while there and a lovo (traditional Fijian meal) was arranged. The experience was magical. All steps where shared with us so we got a true feeling of making a lovo. In addition to this we snorkelled for nama (sea grapes) that was part of the meal. The evening was filled with ukele and guitar playing to top off this very special experience with a great group of people. A day we will never forget.
Clark shared tips and tricks around the market and filleted the fresh fish we purchased. As well as sharing local highlight spots for snorkelling and other activities.
Dlisa’s bright and bubbly disposition welcomed us so warmly each day and had lots of local knowledge that she was happy to share with us too.
The location is out of town however, it was very easy to grab a local bus at the end of the driveway, which added to the great experience. Taxis where very cheap to get to the airport or town for a meal when we didn’t want to self cater.
The view from our room was very special with manicured tropical gardens and water views, making it a great spot to relax in.
- Caron (9/5): Very good value for money and nice people. We would stay there again. - The bure we had was a spacious, clean and comfortable studio. High ceilings, comfy bed and lovely view to the garden and sea. Short walk to the beach where apparently you can snorkel. We didn't as I had an ear infection. The owner was very friendly and gave us a lot of helpful information when we arrived including bus timetables. We jumped on the bus (need a bus card) to Savusavu for a couple of $ and took taxis back at night (about F$24). The housekeeper was super friendly and brought us a simple but tasty breakfast every morning. Good kitchen facilities and reliable hot shower. The Lodge is 17 km past Savusavu, but that didn't bother us as we stocked up on groceries and snacks at the supermarket in Savusavu and cooked when we didn't go out for dinner. There is a pizza bar a few minutes drive away at the a nearby resort. The hot water is not super hot, but comfortable.
- Karisitiana (10/5): It was awesome. - Quiet and peaceful, beautiful amenities and such a wonderful place.
- Tanya (10/5): -
- Luca (10/5): A gem in Savusavu - The location is great with a coral reef right across the road, the bure are nice and tidy, the beach house is a piece of history and Luna (the house dog) is the nicest pup, but the staff is what makes your stay really special. Without even realising, you can just become part of the family and never want to leave.
Many comments are about the distance from shops being an issue, but we just ended up buying some food to cook (every room has a kitchenette) in Savusavu every other day and getting fresh fruit off the land, so we never even felt the need to go to the nearby resort's restaurants.
- Navin (9/5): Superb -
- Ramaswamy (9/5): Superb - the lodge was an absolute delight to stay at.just across the road from a nice beach & snorkelling site. The owner, Clark is a great host & made my stay memorable with some fun activities. the room was clean, comfortable & big with enough cookware to prep a decent meal. good starlink wifi the place is 20 min ride by car from main town. so food is bit of a problem. there are a few options a nearby resort or takeaway dinner from town or cook in the room.
- Susan (9/5): Very accommodating - Simple 3 bedroom holiday home. Easy access to beach, snorkeling etc. Simplicity
- Idan (10/5): A true tast of Fiji vacation - A real tranquil and beautiful place to spend few days while in Fiji.
The bungalow is well equipped with everything you need, short walk to the beach with stunning coral reef for snorkelling and swimming and Clark the host went beyond to make me feel welcome!
Couldn’t recommend enough!
- Meron (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved the view, the staff were so welcoming and the amount of cookware they had (we are a family of cooks) so we made some delicious meals whilst staring at the view. We will definitely be back again! NA
- Eugenia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hukula (7/5): We had a lovely time. We would return and stay here as the set up suited our family - Nice, safe quiet spot. Great house for families with adventurous children. Bikes, snorkeling and surf gear available for use.
Laisa, the caretaker is very friendly and helpful.
No curtains in main living area but we didn't really mind. Water pressure in house was low.
- Erik (9/5): Would stay there again, nice place to relax - Very friendly staff, quick to respond. Clean and comfy. Delisa brought us our breakfast, it was yummy Had an ac malfunction, but was taken care of immediately. Great response time.
- Shànîzà (5/5): Passable -
- Theresa (10/5): - The hosts are amazing and friendly. The villa itself is beautiful and peaceful. Great place to stay for tranquillity
- Arunesh (8/5): Very good -
- Jude (8/5): A special few nights in paradise - Great property location , close to the beach . Enjoyed the location . Take your groceries to save the 20 Fiji trip each way or 3 each on the bus each way . Lovely breakfast prepared by Laisa . Very relaxed and we snorkelled and paddled around the bay and rode bikes . A special paradise . Poor internet area was frustrating
- Stephen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Pamela (4/5): Beautiful location but disappointing - The setting of the property is beautiful; the grounds are pristine and the views are very serene. The on-site manager, Delisa, was a delight and very helpful. When we showed her, per Booking.com, that our breakfast was supposed to be included, she cooked for us (for a fee). Per Booking.com, breakfast was included in the price of the room. Upon our arrival, we were told that it was not and we had to pay extra for it. The manager seemed like she was caught in the middle since the owner was an absentee owner and did not include our breakfast even though it was advertised. The internet connection was very unreliable most of the time and made it so that I couldn't work successfully when I needed to. The bicycles that were on-site for guests to use had no back brakes, so we opted out. The location is beautiful but if you are a guest that likes to go in to town and/or explore the island, we suggest renting a car as taxis are pretty expensive and the fares are inconsistent between different drivers.
- Josep (10/5): - Lovely lodge with everything you need to be comfortable. The views and the air coming from the sea are amazing! Hughly recommended :) The only thing that didn't work very well was the WiFi that only works in certain areas, the rest was lovely and they are very helpful and kind. Would come back any time.
- Wade (9/5): Superb -
- Ro (10/5): Exceptional - I can't say that I liked it; I loved it.
Fiji Lodge Vosa Ni Ua is exceptional with its location, cute cottage and lovely staff support that truly makes it a home away from home.
The communication with the owner - Clark Murphy is efficient and he makes it as seamless as possible.
The lovely feel of the entire place and location makes it convenient for travel along the Hibiscus Highway with lovely nights accompanied by the signature "Vosa Ni Ua" or voice of the waves on the beach nearby.
To put it simply, I loved everything about Fiji Lodge Vosa Ni Ua. I didn't like the fact that I didn't spend a much more longer time there.
- Shanil (10/5): Exceptional - The cleanliness of the room. It is well stocked with everything needed for your stay. The host is super friendly and helpful. It is a little bit far from the main town. About 20 minutes drive. So it is recommended that you buy whatever you need before hand. Otherwise, everything else was great.
- Uschi (8/5): Overall we really liked the lodge, there is nothing what we missed. - very helpful and friendly staff , yammy breakfast and dinner
two minutes walk to the beach
we have been able to cook
we enjoyed sunset and sunrises and sitting outside we had some problems with wifi-but that was not important as we have been on holiday.
- Yoshimi (9/5): Superb - The lodge is located in a quiet side of the island. Often when you are sitting on the deck, all you can hear is the wind and the waves from the ocean. It is very peaceful. The rooms are surrounded with the beautiful garden of tropical flowers and fruit. Clark is a great host, and we had an opportunity to meet his family and relatives who are also very kind people. Delisa made delicious local breakfast every morning. One day, she delivered some sweet bananas straight from their garden. We truly enjoyed our stay. It is not what we didn’t like. But it is convenient to rent a car as there are no restaurants and shops nearby.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent stay in a perfect, tropical bure. - The view was fantastic of the grounds and the ocean. It sits on a very lush, green property. The room is very large, has a great couch, kitchenette and table with chairs. The bathroom is a nice size too.
- Anamaria_mg (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing, nature all around and a splendid ocean view.
Very good breakfast made from local ingredients.
And, last but not least, the most welcoming hosts, Delisa and Clark, which were always ready to help and very kind.
Looking forward to visit again! 🌺
- Xiang (9/5): Solo - Owner and staffs are nice. Love the quiet and serenity of this place. Room is spacious and has everything you need.
Cooking facilities available in room.
There is a water filter for drinking water. Distance from the maintown of Savusavu, could be inconvenient if you don't have a car. However there are buses passing by the lodge every now and then during day time so wasn't too bad for me.
No phone reception so you can't really make phone calls but there is wifi.
- Shawn (10/5): Excellent lodge. The owners made the the place super fun and interesting. - Clark and Brenda were so much fun to work with. They shared their knowledge of kite surfing and ukulele freely. They are funny and fun loving. Liza was a great too. She lives on the property and works for the owners. Her daughter is adorable. They share a great deal about local culture and customs.
The snorkeling was excellent and very clean along the beach. They have an excellent map to guide you to all the amazing features to discover. There’s a swim through for the real adventurer. Their compendium was great with lots of ideas on things to do while you’re there.
Looking forward to returning! For the WiFi addicts like ourselves, we’d appreciate an upgrade in the system.
Overall, it was one of the best places to to stay on the island. Wifi could use a boost.
- Ric (10/5): I cannot wait to go back 😍. - Clark and Delisa were more than happy to go out of their way to make sure that my every need was met. All my washing, breakfast and snorkeling gear was all taken care of.
The location was superb.
- Jean (10/5): I’d recommend this to my friends and come again myself. - Our bure was SUPER CLEAN, and spacious, set in well kept grounds and a view of the ocean.
Top that with great snorkeling just across the road.
What more could you want?
- Tyrone (8/5): Pleasant and very friendly staff that provided great service. The villa was pleasant and comfortable - Staff were very friendly and provided assistance from booking a taxi to preparing food. They also cleaned and did laundry for me. The Wifi and phone reception wasn't great. It kept cutting out and I had to go to the top floor to get reception everyday to make a phone call.
- Troy (9/5): Superb -
- Delana (10/5): Awesome - All of it Water pressure was a bit low at times
- Andreas (9/5): Superb -
- Rimesh (9/5): Superb -
- Alani (10/5): We stayed at Vosa ni Ua for one night on our way to our village. This place catered for our needs as can we needed a pla - The location, freshness and nature around the property.
- Emosi (9/5): Superb -
- Joel (9/5): Wonderful relaxing place and enjoy your own homecooking - Great quiet place to enjoy the sea views and amazing coral reefs right in front. Super friendly welcome, made us feel at home quickly. Perfect place which has everything you need to do your own cooking, which we enjoyed. There were bikes and canoes available, though we just enjoyed snorkelling most of the day and then relaxing on the veranda. The only issue we had was I found the communication around payment beforehand a bit confusing, with multiple emails from Booking, it could be a bit clearer - but not a big deal once we confirmed with the owner.
- Jagendar (4/5): Mr and Mrs Singh - When you book this place please ask the hotel if the water is clean,When we went there everything looked good when I turned on the water in morning to brush my teeth the water in the pipe was dirty, They gave us bottled water to brush our teeth. Very low water pressure in the shower we took shower with dirty water no choice. Please be careful when you book.
- Justin Kirk (10/5): - Vosa Ni Ua was an excellent location where I was able to get peaceful sleep and have access to get to a seminar that was being held nearby. I was connected to Arvin as my driver at 6799469181 which was a huge benefit to be able to have someone to take me around the island through my whole trip. Clark, who runs the lodge, was very helpful in connecting me to anything that I needed to do as well as having the opportunity to do local massages in the lodge. He was very flexible with my various requests which was much appreciated! I will definitely be staying there again.
- Julie (9/5): Excellent facilities, lovely comfortable Bure - The location was idea as I needed to be close to Villa Mumu, the Bure was very spacious and comfortable with an outside balcony with a great view of the sea. it wasn't a problem, but if I was to be over critical I would've preferred a stronger shower, but it was fine and the water temperature was warm enough
- Sue (8/5): It was a great stay. Fabulous snorkeling at the beach opposite. Good cooking facilities too. - Location was a bit out of town, but there was a bus into town and taxis we're available. There were a lot of mosquitoes, so we couldn't enjoy outside. It had been raining a lot, but there were also stagnant pools surrounding our Bure
- Erin (10/5): - Lovely owner and staff, very nice bungalow with aircon and comfy bed and pillows.
- Robyn (8/5): a pleasurable time, - undisturbed stay, away from it all
- Ralf (8/5): Very good - Nice and quiet. Pretty view to ocean No Restaurant on site
- Reijeli (7/5): It was a wonderful weekend getaway and already making plans to return soon. - Location, quietness and private space , close to the beach and in close proximity to savusavu town. The cottages were comfortable and spacious. Very friendly housemaid who also took time to check on us and our needs. Loved the fresh fruits provided every morning. Kids especially loved the activities available ..kayaking, snorkeling, bike rides etc. Close to Koro Sun and sandbar. Faced with abit of water issues on the 2nd day, however resolved when rains came and refilled the tanks.
Quiet dark at night, so good to have more solar lights in the garden areas.
- Ruven (7/5): we tried to make a good use of the location despite the location. Had to travel long way to get to the town - quite with poor reception Unable to communicate with the property manager, had to go out of the property to get any phone reception. So communication was very poor. Our accommodation didn’t have the tv or radio in the room. Water pressure was not good , building was ok

- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Vosa Ni Ua was a great mid-way stop on our cycle tour en route to Savusavu. Clark was so super-friendly and really made us feel at home. He lent us snorkelling gear, and really went out of his way to make sue we were comfortable. Thanks so much for the outstanding Kiwi hospitality!

- Olaf (10/5): Highly recommend! - Clark and Delisa were super helpful, friendly and relaxed. They did everything they could to meet our needs. The location of the property was amazing with a short walk to the beach. The room was very comfortable and clean with a huge bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Overall great value! The wifi was a little spotty sometimes, but it did not bother us.
