Guest Reviews
- Michelle (7/5): Rocky start with a good finish - It was a good location and the staff and food was great. The room was a good size and comfy and had all what we needed for the night. Food in the hotel was really nice and good value for money with 2 courses costing around £16. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome and even brought round free chicken pakoras during the pub quiz. Fab! Parking wasn't as straightforward as it was made out to be. The car park attached to the main hotel only had enough spaces for 7/8 cars which wasn't particularly good when there were 2 cars parking over 2 other spaces limiting it even more. I rang the hotel to ask about parking and was told that after 5pm the parking wardens stopped working so could park on the road but have to move it by 8am. Not ideal when you've got a car you want to look after.
I went into the hotel say about the shit parking and was told that there was an overflow car park on the opposite side of the road and could park there. Not very well signposted either especially with it being on a one way street and having to go round the one way system to be able to get back to find the overflow car park. Overflow parking had a few more spaces but again due to shit parking by 2 other cars they took up 4 spaces leaving very limited space for anyone else to park! Having finally parked we got our things out the car and walked over to the hotel to check in. When we were told that we were in the next car create road Doh! So had to gather up our things and trundle back over to where we parked the car to finally arrive at our room. We still had a nice stay after a rocky start.

- AMANDA (5/5): Central location - but rooms/bathrooms need a revamp - Central location was nice, parking was also available on site. Rooms & bathrooms very tired. The shower head needs replacing (limescale) & our colleague had tie wraps holding the shower in place!
- Mark (6/5): -
- Andrew (5/5): - Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water for showers. On leaving Sunday morning, I was unable to open the door from the landing to the stairs. It was a twist lock on the inside which was just turning and not unlocking the door. Fortunately after about 10 minutes someone returned to the hotel and opened it from the outside with a key.
ABSOLUTE FIRE HAZARD, if there had been a fire, no one was getting out of that door. Almost missed my train to catch the ferry after the delay getting out
- ray (2/5): Not value for the money we paid - We did not have breakfast the location was why we booked there The bedrooms needed updating we was put across the road from the hotel my wife had trouble climbing into the bath to use the shower
With insight we should have said we was not staying
- Garry (10/5): Excellent staff - The staff were extremely welcoming and helpful, particularly Dave, Adam and Zoe No complaints
- Philip Rennie (8/5): The noisy fridge was a bad roommate. - Room was a decent size. Two tins of complimentary Irn-Bru in the fridge. Despite being over a pub (with a 1 am license) my room was quiet. Handy for Falkirk Grahamstown station, with is easy reach from Edinburgh. The noisy fridge makes a bad roommate. Never managed to connect to the WiFi. Stairs will not suit the less mobile.

- Gigliola (7/5): We would certainly stay at the hotel again, good value for money and good food. - The meal that we had at night in the hotel was tasty and the area we sat at was nice and quiet for us and my dogs 🐶 service was very good and friendly. Service was quick and attentive even with the hotel / bar being very busy. Good value for money. The only thing I could say that there was no mirror in our room and the bathroom light was very dim. Could have been better lighting.

- Elissa (10/5): A basic, but very comfortable stay in an ideal location for the train station and Falkirk centre... - Perfect location in the centre of Falkirk and minutes from the Falkirk Grahamston train station, which was perfect as our train arrived at 23:15.
The staff were so friendly and accommodating with this late arrival.
The later -than- normal check out of 11am was ideal too (as I could go to park run and come back and shower)!
The bed was really comfortable and despite being above a bar with a live singer, there was no noise.
There were lovely touches in the corridor ie books to borrow etc! and we loved the fridge in the room with Irn-bru in.
It would be perfect if you were attending a wedding or like us, visiting family. N/a- it's not luxury but we didn't need that!
- Cornwell (7/5): Clean, comfortable and friendly staff - Easy to find ,on site parking and good food and drink facilities. Two flights of stairs to our room
- Binnie (10/5): - Great staff, clean and location great, been several times and will be back
- Neil (1/5): -
- ian (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay at the orchard hotel and will stay there again when we next visit Falkirk - We liked the location and the very friendly staff. The food in the restaurant was 1st class, as was the service. The window in room 8 won't close properly, so we could hear the noise from the front street.

- Sara (7/5): - A nice budget friendly hotel. Basic but clean. Staff lovely and lovely bar and restaurant.
- Julie (7/5): -
- Jess Owen (10/5): A great long weekend. - It was the perfect base for our reunion. The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Great food, beer and a friendly atmosphere. A short walk from the town centre, and within easy reach of the railway stations and buses.
- Massey (8/5): -

- cathie (10/5): Ten out of ten - Can’t fault this stay at all. Facilities and staff were great
- Katherine (2/5): Charged for 2 rooms but given 1 twin room and refused to refund -
- Bruce (8/5): Great - Friendly Nothing
- Peter (9/5): -
- cathie (10/5): Really nice and centrally located, dog friendly stay :) - Loved how dog friendly this stay was. Would highly recommend for anyone with a dog. The room I was in had very poor internet access so I was unable to do any work for the duration of this stay unfortunately :( one of the housekeepers also carried on a bit when the dog barked at her (couldn’t be helped I suppose on both ends)
- Danielle (1/5): -
- Lynne (7/5): Pleasant - Bed comfortable. Staff nice. Complimentary water/irn bru It’s an old building so floorboards a bit creaky in corridor so you can hear people coming and going
- Jane (8/5): Friendly affordable & dog friendly - Very friendly helpful staff, and very dog friendly, as I was travelling with my two dogs Room could benefit with a freshen up,
- Per (7/5): -
- Jason (8/5): A Comfortable, Great-Value Stay with Excellent Hospitality - We had a really enjoyable stay at the Orchard Hotel in Falkirk and would happily recommend it.
Check-in was seamless and set the tone straight away. The room itself was simple and basic, but everything was clean, comfortable, and well prepared. What really stood out were the thoughtful touches. The welcome bag with tea, coffee, biscuits, toiletries, and local information made a great first impression and showed real care for guests.
Parking was easy and secure, which made arrival and settling in stress-free. The hotel felt safe, quiet, and well located right in the centre, making it ideal for a short stopover.
The bar and restaurant attached to the hotel were a real highlight. Cosy atmosphere, great service, and a perfect place to unwind after travelling. The whole place has a friendly, welcoming feel that makes it a very easy stay.
Overall, this is excellent value for money and a great overnight stop. We would definitely stay again.
- Kathleen (7/5): - Well located for our purposes Menu not vegetarian friendly
- Louis (3/5): Awkward staying, staff seemed off will not stay again - Location Bathroom door and inner door locks did not work

- ea1d7457667a71fbf796cdc89d02a465 (9/5): Ideal! - Perfect location. Bit dated but clean tidy and warm.

- 5e796b56a00970f9f76dd849ee4d24b8 (8/5): The Orchard Hotel - Staff friendly and meal in Bistro delicious A bit of road noise, but the hotel can't really do much to effect that. Would still recommend as beds were comfortable and very central location 👍
- 54caf16ed0ae72bbd429a986cc75b3c9 (8/5): A pleasant stay in Falkirk. - Location was goid and ghe staff were helpful. Nothing
- Strider14 (7/5): - Friendly staff, interesting modern decor, good restaurant and good central location. Broken sash window, no early breakfast

- markegreenhalgh (9/5): Good value - Enjoyable stay in a nice place and reasonable price
- E (7/5): Convenient comfortable affordable. - I liked the location, there was everything in the room that I required. The room was comfortable & clean. The building is old & a bit tatty & worn but for short stays it's fine. I will be back as I visit my friend yearly. The noise from the road is constant! Secondary double glazing would not go amiss! It would reduce the noise of the drunk people leaving the pubs across the road.
- Jadoon (10/5): -
Mehrmals Nachricht an Unterkunft geschickt, keine Antwort. Am 13th hingefahren, Manager sagte keine Zimmer mehr. Gleich weg geschickt. Unfreundlich
- Cameron (2/5): - Nice shower. But no shower gel or soap. Or towel. Had to ask for one. Heating non existing. No towels, no soap or shower gel. Very noisy from drafts window.
- Ann (8/5): - Bhnikknn Unsafe plug futtingd
- Paul (10/5): 2nd time will be going again - Great place very clean great food
- Elizabeth (5/5): Location, friendly helpful staff and great food, let down by the toilet not being in the room - Location, Staff & food were excellent One of the triple rooms did not have a toilet in the room you had to leave the room and go next door for the bathroom, 2 triple rooms were booked both cost the same yet one did not have a toilet in the actual room, not good for a woman coming out into a corridor used by other guests for the toilet
- Paul (10/5): -
- Rhona (9/5): Super friendly and professionally run quality b and b/pub/reataurant - We were doing some family research in the Falkirk area and booked 3 nights at the Orchard. Can’t say enough about this b and b/pub/restaurant.
The rooms were bright and comfy. The service from all members of their staff went above and beyond. David, Zoe, Emma, chef John etc, excelled on all levels of service and we will definitely return. The food was outstanding!! Yummy full Scottish breakfasts. Must try the chicken satay, steak pie and southern fried chicken breasts. I’m certain that everything else is delicious.
Cozy little bar, with numerous amenities such as groceries, pet store, etc a short 10 minute walk away. Free parking in back.
Lovely patio out front.
Sooo pet friendly, yet the restaurant still remains off limits for people who are not comfortable with our fur families.
Overall one of our favourite places!! Not a thing
- Robert (2/5): Have stayed in hostels with better facilities - It was nothing like the photos on the site.
Heating didn’t work
carpet was dirty
Toilet had obvious stains
Mould in bathroom
Mirror just propped against wall not even hung up.
TV doesn’t work
To get to the bedrooms you had to go through a dark alleyway to get into a questionable looking building across the road from the main bar area
Carpet coming away from stairs
No hairdryer
No iron
Both of which were noted as being in the room.
It’s obvious that they don’t hold the “hotel” premises to the same standards as their bar
- Matthew (10/5): -

- Susan (8/5): - Staff were really attentive and very welcoming.
Food was great and very reasonably priced.
- adelina.t (9/5): - Brilliant location, the room was basic but clean, well lit, and spacious. We did not interact with staff much outside of the check in/out process as we were only there for one night but they were so lovely and welcoming. We'll definitely stay again if we're in the area!
- Iain (8/5): - Lovely pub , the staff were very friendly . Rooms are very nice
