• Greilan (10/5): Great place surrounded by nature - Our Villa was clean, comfortable and spacious, kitchen was fully stocked and everything looked new, sheets and towels were very clean. Property is beautiful with many things to do. We loved the woods surrounding the place and the hiking trails. Staff was super friendly, they even texted a couple of times to check on us. Great place in general, we're definitely going back.

• Larry (4/5): Disappointing Stay–In Desperate Need of Renovation - We came in with high expectations, but were blindsided by how outdated this unit truly is. From the entryway to the kitchen and especially the bathrooms, everything feels at least a decade overdue for a major renovation. The bathrooms in particular were a huge letdown – very small toilets and extremely shallow sinks made them uncomfortable and impractical. For the price being charged, we expected far better quality and upkeep. Unfortunately, this unit does not live up to its listing or the cost. We wouldn’t stay here again unless significant updates are made.

The last trip in July of 2025 we were very disappointed to see how run down the resort got since our last visit. The rooms are run down, filthy, unbelievable number if bugs and spiders lack of any apparent pest control by the amount of spider excrement covering every inch of the building and walkways just gross. AC kept breaking down. Pool dirty unusable. Hot tub even grosser. They are selling I was told. Either keep it up or quit occupancy until it sells. We were there for a big milestone birthday for our twins. We tried not to let it affect us but this was the worse time share we ever stayed in. So sad how ran down its gotten since our first visit 25 years ago.

The property was nice, but were quite a few spider webs on the patio and the elevators. It is still a great place to stay. Although, I was told that the place is in the process of being bought out by another company.

The pools were overrun with people that were not staying on the property. They had friends opening the gates for them. Heavy alcohol and weed present. Family was uncomfortable swimming here.

• Misty (10/5): Great Stay - We truly enjoyed our stay at the Villages. The cabin was spacious and nicely decorated, although there was a slight odor. We enjoyed the indoor tub but there was not enough hot water to fill it. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The resort has a nice, relaxed atmosphere with many fun activities for everyone. We recommend staying at The Villages.

• Susie7315 (4/5): Unexpectedly Disappointed - Thought we were booking the lock off unit, but were informed we actually booked the older units. 1st unit had water across the sidewalk, they did change us to another very small 2 bedroom that was very dreary. Not what we wanted to have to celebrate anniversary & a birthday. The inside waterpark is now used by all the public at a cost for anyone going to it. Wasn't that way when we stayed in lock off units years ago. Didn't stay, lost our points & exchange cost but drove another 4 hours to great resort.
• deblucas60 (4/5): Needs updated badly - Check your unit out completely, pull your sheets back and check everything out first before unpacking. Make sure floors and carpet are clean. We had blood and fresh food stains on our bedding in both rooms.

There were also teenagers that had no parental supervision coming and going from the room above us at all hours up until 3am making lots of noise. Most other properties ive stayed out owned by the holiday in as quiet hours. I also only booked this hotel bc they had a waterpark in which i dont remember seeing it cost separately on the hotels website.

• mikerF2758FF (2/5): They are thieves - It started very good. Got there around 430 Saturday morning and left Monday check out time. Long story short I left two firearms and my sis left a laptop in the unit. There was alot of kids so the firearms where inside a shelf away from the kids. Some how it wasn’t packed I called them 3 hours after leaving hoping they would have them or gave them to the sheriff department but they claim they do not have them. Talked with hunter jones he was not helpful and I feel he might be coving up for the thieves.my wife spoke with the general manager Steven she said he seems like he might get to the bottom of this but I’m thinking going to the news . Those guns were sentimental . Those people there can not be trusted
• Daniel (10/5): Exceptional - Check-in was great, but it takes a little longer than you expect because there are so many activities to be informed about. That said, the staff were wonderful and welcoming and very informative. We were a group of 4 adults who stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. Each room had a private bathroom and there were actually 2 kitchen areas, a small outdoor seating area and a laundry comfortable living room. The jewel of this stay was the pool area. It was walkable, but we drove. The pool is large, with a spash pool, a large swimming pool and a large jacuzzi. There was plenty of seating and the sunset from this pool was fabulous (there are several pool areas on the resort grounds). We LOVED our stay and will return. Loved everything

I will certainly be back with more family and friends. Thanks to Hunter and the entire crew.❤️🐝

• Lorena (8/5): Weekends getaway - We went for the weekend with our 2 preteens. There’s so many activities besides the water park for all of us to enjoy. The only few things wrong is when we first got there the villa had a musty smell. I let them know they immediately took care of that with an ozone machine and the only other thing is that rooms are a little outdated. And the activity center closes too early, would be nice if they were open til 10 or even 9pm. But other than that it, it was a nice little vacation.

• 630Anonymous630 (4/5): Friendly staff, dirty rooms - Where to start? Checkin very late Saturday night, great experience. Staff was friendly, gave suggestions of local places to get donuts and gave us all the material on the property. At that point they told us that the water park is only open on the weekends. No where in the email confirmations or website did it say this. So we drove from Illinois to stay at a waterpark family resort in Texas where the waterpark is closed Monday through Thursday. It reminded me of the Grizwolds, “sorry folks parks closed”. Looks like we’ll go to the waterpark Sunday because we had plans the following Friday and check out the following day. Next up, we unload everything into our room, and who doesn’t like a few roach friends? At this point it’s 12:00am and we’re exhausted so we just slept in the roach room. We got moved the next morning to a different building with an I’m sorry, here’s your keys. Upon getting into the next room, while a step up it was still pretty dirty. Baseboards had a dirt on them that was scuzzy looking but it wasn’t unlivable conditions, just proceeded with caution conditions. I was kind of expecting to grab coffee that morning in the kitchen with the roaches from M.I.B. At this point. It wasn’t until check out the last day that our little friends revisited us in the new room. It was at this point I was glad we were leaving and not going back.

• Jordan (10/5): Last Minute Trip - This trip was a lifesaver! We booked it last minute and were blown away by how much fun our family had. There was something for everyone to enjoy from splashing around in the water park and pool, to challenging each other at mini golf and basketball. The kids (and adults!) definitely appreciated the delicious snow cones and ice cream. What really made the trip stand out, though, was the incredible staff. Whenever we had a question or needed anything, Shannon, Josh, Linda, Kristina and Sophie were always there to help with a smile. Their excellent service really enhanced our experience. If you're looking for a fun-filled, family-friendly vacation, especially on short notice, this place is definitely worth considering. We'll definitely be back!

It was plenty of fun activities going on for spring break. We had everything we needed and the staff came quickly when we asked for anything extra!
