Guest Reviews

- Lorenzo (1/5): I booked 5 nights but i stayed only 1 knight because no hot water and the air conditioners was loud like a jet . - The Lovation
- Dmitrijs (4/5): - Staff is helpful Rooms are old and shower is weak and some times have no water
- Peter (1/5): - I did not even stay there because they did not have running water and the AC was not working. I went to a better hotel booked on my own. I want my money back ridiculous or at least a credit. I will be using you when I already booked something with you now. That was horrible no big deal. What’s going on? Give me a credit I will use.

- Arianna (7/5): - Posto molto molto accogliente e staff molto gentile. Vicinissimo a Dumalauan beach Due giorni senza doccia per problemi cisterne paese
- Laurence Alvin (10/5): -
- Sterre (7/5): - Kind owner, nice little hut + fan. To walk to the beach you need to pay to pass a resort. When I asked about to take a tuktuk/taxi to Baclayon the personel told me a price more than three times the grab price.
- Marcin (6/5): -
- Robert (8/5): Small cosy place - Lovely garden, friendly staff, motorbike for hire Local chickens a little noisy
- Anabell (8/5): - Andrew and the stuff were really nice and helpful.
Adriana’s is only a couple minutes away from a beautiful privat beach.
We loved the food at the restaurant, especially Mee Goreng and the rooms were pretty clean.
- Pauline (10/5): - Guesthouse très bien située entre route principale et jolie plage de Dumaluhan. Le propriétaire et sa femme sont très accueillants et disponibles, je recommande sans hésitation.
- Joan (8/5): - The staff were accommodating good transportation service too the main sites close to the beaches
- federica (10/5): -

- shauntel (6/5): Really comfortable stay for it's price! - The staff were super friendly and helpful with recommendations. The wifi at the guesthouse was much better than most around the area. At first glance, I feared the bed would be uncomfortable but I found it very much comfortable and spacious. The water pressure was poor and the area only has a private beach nearby but aside from that you have to travel to get to other tourist spots.
- alfonso (10/5): -
- Stuart (9/5): - Lounge, common area, restaurant, bar were very stylish and tasteful. Even the dorm room floor tiles were nice. Garden was nice, and they had secure parking for motorbikes. I was the only guest in the dorm room, so there was an argument about using the advertised aircon. It's not my fault I was the only guest. They said it's not economic to use aircon for one dorm guest at the advertised price. So don't advertise at that price!!! It's very misleading.
- Guest (9/5): Jestesmy zadowoleni z pobytu. Polecamy! - Lokalizacja super. Przemili gospodarze, dbd kontakt przez komunikator. Bez strersu check in. Polaecam : - ) brak negatywow
- Ellie-sky (4/5): No sleep! - only a 10 minute drive from alona beach. was in a quiet location and close to dumaluan beach had no sleep. all throughout the day and night stuff was falling onto the tin roof and it was unbelievably loud. tried to get breakfast on the first morning but everything we asked for was unavailable. apparently even 2 slices of plain toast.
- Alcontin (7/5): It was okay, - It was clean and peaceful. Staff were very accommodating The water used for shower I think is saltwater, but they were able to provide fresh water to be used for toothbrush. The aircon in our room was not that cold.. not sure why..
- Margot (9/5): Superb -
- Anna (10/5): A great place for a female solo traveller - Bathroom was spacious. Whole room was clean. I liked the names of the room (Cactus was my name). They made good cheese and tomato toasties. It was quiet all night and close to vegetarian restaurants. Staff very polite and genuine, offering to help me book tours etc. The pillows were way too huge, my neck couldn't reach so I had to use the cushion. There was no standing fan in the room, just an air cooling unit which I don't like as much. They also left the windows open so when I arrived mosquitoes could have got in. Could have done with much more vegan food on the menu and real fruit juce.
- Santiago (10/5): Exceptional - Minutes away from Alona Beach and Oceanica.. AC is not that cold enough, AC filter needs to be cleaned..
- Bastian (4/5): Disappointing - The only thing I liked was that it was close to Dumaluan beach and one person of the staff was helpful.
The water from the shower was salty, room was really hot and couldn’t leave the door open to refresh it as there were tons of mosquitoes outside waiting to enter. The bed was not the best and the room was not clean at all.
- Anna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanna (5/5): Passable - if you are planning to save on accommodation -go for it. my partner wake up with a massive cockroach on his face. no sleep. there ware a few of them. they don't bite, so if cool with it - great stay. we moved after first night.
- Radissons (8/5): Love the place - Comfortable and homey Some of the facilities during our stay are not working
- Karin (8/5): highly recommend at Panglao area - I was here 3 times already snd I will always go back.
- Andreanna (9/5): Beautiful vibe and homely place to stay. - Home like vibes as soon as you walk in, the cute little touches to the room to make it comfortable.
The location was perfect, 15 mins walk to the beach where you do have pay to enter then once on the beach you’ll see a beach resort with various coloured bean bags and you can pay £8 for a day pass.
They organised a tour for us to the chocolate hills and the tarziers, which was very reasonably priced.
There is a restaurant across the road at the end which is a eco lodge of some sorts which done some good food, went there twice and there is a 7/11 5 mins walk away, if you turn right at the junction.
The staff were so lovely and welcoming we really enjoyed our stay, they even helped us book a tuk to the port for our boat. The loud air conditioner and the cold shower, but this shouldn’t take from the experience as it was a lovely introduction to the Philippines for us.
- Karin (10/5): cozy and comfy - nice rooms, with fan or a/c and washroom. at property is restaurant as well. personal is super nice. road to the beach is with enter fee, so you have to go around if you don’t wanna pay 100 php all the time
- Darren (8/5): Very good - Comfortable bed. Good air con and bug zapper in the room. Friendy staff. Close to airport. Shower wasn't very powerful in the private room but I just used another one in the mixed dorm.
- Fernandez (5/5): Passable -
- Darren (8/5): Very good -
- Zac (5/5): Staff are nice enough but we wouldn’t come back - It’s just ok. The shared bar area is nice and they’re open quite late for food and drink. The air cons so noisy.
The area is so loud with karaoke in the background 24/7. The night we arrived there was a huge party down the street that went until 2am. The bass was shaking the walls. (Perhaps not there fault)
The water pressure is non existent, we were told this would be fixed but it never was. I had to wash my hair wish a bucket and water.
You only get these tiny blankets not suitable to share… however they did give me another one when I asked but it didn’t smell great.
Foods expensive.. meegoreng is like 17pesos at the shop but they charge 250 here. It’s just noodles in boiled water.
We ended up leaving a couple of days early as it took its toll.
- Gary (9/5): Fantastic place but noisy. - Very spacious.
Good character.
Hot water.
Nice ambience.
Comfy bed. Very loud- roosters roaming the property and doodling all night long.
Could hear other guests late at night and early morning.
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice gardens and very tranquil and beautiful place to relax and unwind
- Pia (8/5): Very good - Great place in nice location.
- Julian (8/5): Affordable, good accomodation in a nice part of Panglao. - The location is great, away from horribly overdeveloped Alona. A short walk to a beautiful beach which is well worth the 100peso entrance fee. There were plenty of nice places to eat nearby and small local shops. The garden and communal area are lovely. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I liked the old schools style native huts, which reminded me of my old trips to the Philippines over ten years ago. There was an odd smell coming from the bathroom and it got stronger and stronger during our stay, by the time we left it was horrendous and I would not have been able to stay in the room any longer. Just personal preference, but green and red paint is a little old fashioned, I think the room could be a lot nicer if repainted with bright neutral colours.
- Romain (7/5): Good -
- Ines (10/5): Exceptional - everything was perfect ! the staff was amazing ! i really recommend nothing
- Matteo (9/5): Superb -
- Clemente (8/5): My Staytory - I really appreciate the property’s inviting atmosphere—it exudes a beautifully tropical vibe, thanks to the well-maintained garden. The predominantly wooden construction is thoughtfully designed, creating a harmonious and natural aesthetic. The staff are warmly professional and truly pleasant to interact with. There was no provision for a clothes hanger in the cabinet, bath soap, or shampoo, which could enhance the overall experience.
- Darren (9/5): Superb -
- Lucie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marvin (9/5): Superb - The place is good and staff are very accommodating. Mosquitoes in the room
- Neil (7/5): Good -
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional - Andrew and his family were so incredible. I'd picked to stay at another place and it didn't feel safe. The moment I walked into this place I was met by the friendliest Aussie I've seen in ages and him and his family completely made my time in Panglao. I loved the chats, the food and my room was so comfortable. They helped me organize tours and transfers and I'll definitely be back again for sure :) Nothing. Everything was bloody amazing. Keep up the great work
- Jack (1/5): Bad - We were greeted with a smile & hiring a scooter was easy & convenient. Room was not clean!! There were ants & what looked like tics(?!) crawling on the floor.
Bugs in the bed (not sure if these were bedbugs but we didn’t stay to find out).
Bed posts were broken & falling apart with a cracked floor.
Bathroom was mouldy, flush didn’t work on the toilet (had to fix myself) & there was a crack in the floor which cockroaches were coming out of…
Tin roof with a mango tree above… every so often one would drop & give you the fright of your life… and a small boy also decided to climb onto our roof and walk around to pick the mangoes.
Despite trying to brave a night here - these things compounded and we left during the night (wanted to request moving room first but nobody was in reception) finding another hotel for just £5 more a night which was worlds apart in quality.
We returned to check out early the next day & explained why… though the staff were apologetic, they did not offer a refund & said us eating in the room could have caused the cockroach issue (we had one yoghurt & put it in the bin).
- Alexander (2/5): Room is ok just that water supply is a shame - Location No water
- Braggtravels (4/5): Great bucket showers - The garden area was pretty and the staff were friendly and nice. They tried their best to sort out problems. The basic double room had a very thin mattress, bright light with no shade, small ants that bit were all over the bed and room and there was no water pressure in the shower.
They moved us, but told us we would need to pay extra, but in the morning there was still no water pressure.
They blamed the water issue as part of an island issue and that they don't want to burst their pipes during the night and we should be ok with this because they are not 5 star accommodation. Passing blame is not what I expect from any star accommodation.
We had bucket showers.
- Jade (6/5): Fine place to stay but far from main area - Staff were friendly and room size was good
Quite far from main town area, had to hire bikes
Onsite restaurant was good Room and ensuite weren't clean, ants everywhere in bed and throughout bathroom
- Stefan (9/5): Nice stay on Bohol - The place is very nice. Almost like a little guarden. The stuff ist very friendly and the food (especially the Thai food) is very good. It is very close to Dumaluang beach which is perfect to relax. And you can rent scooters for a fai price, which makes exploring the island very conveniant. The room I had was very basic. But since I stayed outside most of the time anyway it was not a big deal.
- María (8/5): Very good -
- Catriona (6/5): Pleasant - Room was nice, and Aircon worked well for us. Staff were friendly First accommodation we have ever been charged for refilling a water bottle in the Philippines. There is a beach 5 mins walk but it is private so need to pay. Nearest public beach is 20 min walk on the main road. It is quite far out so you need to get tuktuk or hire a scooter to get anywhere.
- Jose (6/5): Pleasant -
- Priscila (7/5): Good - Spacious room, with a nice balcony. Laundry service . The closest beach is paid, the AC is very loud.
- Shannon (10/5): Thank you Adrianas Place, amazing stay - Location was great and owner and staff were super friendly and helpful, also great value for money
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - My second time staying here, staff are so friendly, food and drinks are cheap (especially the cocktails)
Clean and spacious room, quiet part of panglao if that's the kind of thing you like (which we do) Its out of the way without scooter
- Suman (10/5): Exceptional - All of the above No hot water and you need to take dirty towels and empty the bin for replacement
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lia (10/5): Great place - Close to the beach , authentic Filipino style place with western needs catered for. All staff been very friendly and helpful even accommodated a little birthday cake for my girlfriend’s birthday which was very sweet of them. Food was lovely as well! Would defo stay again
- Amie (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely hostel with nice social area, great food & friendly staff. The room is really big and so is the bathroom. Air conditioning works really well and everything was clean. Would stay here again ! Nothing
- Monika (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice place with a beautiful garden. Definitely recommend.
- Esther-ruth (6/5): Good for short stay - Near the beach. Staff were very friendly and the food they served was very good Cockroaches in the mixed dorm and bathroom. No water pressure from either taps or showers. No Aircon in the dorm so it got very hot at night
- O (8/5): Very good -
- Lorenzo (7/5): Good - The bungalows are nice You have to pay for the water and the restaurant is not really good value for money. Wi fi is not always working
- Matthew (8/5): Very good -
- Eva (5/5): Went on a bad day - The place is charming. I guess if you stay in a private bungalow it makes it good. I stayed in the dorm, so not ny case... I stayed in the dorm, and it had a horrible distribution and no curtains. Lots of insects around the bed. Unfortunately They had no water anywhere and that was shocking and changes my review to negative. They could have said it before, not wait until I say it. Or lower the price, or do something to compensate the guests… they just gave me a bucket with water… I booked only one night as I always do to test the place, and of course I checked out the day after. Is not that cheap to not be able even to shower.
They charge for drinking water..
- Charles (1/5): AVOID AVOID AVOID - PUTRID DORMS - Thankfully managed to escape and didn't need to stay at this putrid place. Where do I start?! My only recommendation is that you AVOID this place like the plague.
Had booked it last minute due to a mix up with another hostel however when I got there I realised just quite how outdated the photos are and quite horrific the conditions of the hostel are. If you like to rough it and have basic amenities then this is your place however if you prefer to have for example running water available, then this is not for you.
The dorm rooms were extremely hot as soon as you walk in, with one paltry fan on the room. No privacy curtains at all and the lockers are child size. The bathrooms were atrocious and smelt horrific as there had been no water for days (other guests were complaining about this but the owners just blamed it on the water company not picking up the phone and resolving their queries.....despite other hostels and resturants having water).
I didn't want to stay here given the conditions of the place and thankfully found an alternative area. When I asked for a refund from the owner given that id not used the bed, they became rather aggressive and pushy about things....again insisting that it's not a problem with them and it's Booking.com's issue.
Overall worst hostel I've encountered in years whilst travelling and the owners are simply ripping people off.
- Federico (9/5): Superb -
- András (4/5): Disappointing -
- Ayşegül (10/5): Exceptional - All were excellent for us! Silent, peacefull and like a botanic garden.... There was a baby living, growing there and he was so beautiful. Andrew is a very helpful and nice owner. All staff were amasing. Chi, who the manager is a georgeous woman. She is kind, helpfull and running everything about the hotel. Thank you Chi, you are the best! We wish the best for all of you guys. Thank you all 😇🙏❤
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Kim (7/5): Recommend for a short stay. - We liked everything except the bathroom. The staff was kind and welcoming, room was simple and clean, airconditioning was a plus, good breakfast for a great price, shared spaces very welcoming - location was good too. The bathroom needs a deepclean (smell was overwhelming) and the water pressure of the shower should be checked - barely any water came out. It's a shame because everything else was great, so I hope the management takes this constructive criticism to heart.
- Vincent (10/5): Exceptional -
- Isis (9/5): Superb - vibes and the staffs are great
- Jerome (9/5): Superb - It is a quiet place. There was no television inside the accommodation.
- Marianne (8/5): lovely place out of the city - people who run the hostel are super friendly and helpful to make the best of experience at Bohol.
Location was perfect to stay out of the city, staff was very helpful to organize tuktuk rides when needed.
Their own restaurant had good selection. Dorm was hot especially when there was many people staying (fans, not AC).
Water pressure was low in the evenings.
- Michael (10/5): Great! - Cracking find, highly reccomend. Andrew had great reccomendations & the breakfast was great.
- Klara (10/5): Exceptional -
