• Evgenios (6/5): Central and comfy - I liked the bed (comfy) and its location (very central, next to many nice pubs and cafeterias). The owner did write to me before my arrival to make sure I would be able to access/enter the room, however, they didn't respond to my message upon my arrival about the WiFI. There was no information in the room about the WiFi, they never responded to my message asking about the WiFi, and therefore, I ended up using my roaming data on my phone...

The bathroom was not well cleaned, and the shower had mould in it. The shower head in particular was dirty enough to the extent that I didn't feel comfortable using it and so I did not shower. This was quite inconvenient.

I made a reservation to secure the room, and in less than 24 hours I cancelled it because, upon calling the hotel, I discovered they wouldn't accept my 17-year-old son sleeping alone, even though he was accompanied by a teacher from Oxford school who would act as his guardian during check-in. They claimed I cancelled at the last minute, but I made the reservation at the last minute, exactly one day before my son arrived, and I cancelled it less than 24 hours before the date I booked it. They were inflexible and rude; they didn't refund my money.

• Fei (4/5): Basic accommodation but prepare for the noise in the morning - The room was warm and the bed was actually very comfortable. The room is spacious although the bathroom is squeezed. The location is very central. The bathroom is very small and everything is squeezed. It's not very clean in the bathroom, especially there were stains around the wash basin. I noticed some dark grease over the glass holder. It seems the cleaner hadn't cleaned it for quite some time. It was disappointing. I couldn't sleep at night because there was building work going on downstairs (a pharmacy) till 1am in the morning. I had to get up and asked them to stop. And then in the early morning, the delivery lorry arrived to deliver lots of goods to a department store next door. Unfortunately, this hotel is next to the warehouse of a department store. Maybe I was just unlucky to stay on a day of the delivery, but there was no way to escape the noise which was annoying and lasted for a very long time. I didn't have a good sleep, honestly.

• Tibbs (9/5): Perfect location for the Theatre, especially if you want to meet the cast at stage door! - The location was absolutely amazing for what we needed! Staff were friendly, polite and helpful. The beds were comfy and we both slept well. Everything looked very clean, we will definitely come back again. The only thing I can say is i would have preferred a table between the beds rather than just by the side of one bed, but that's not a big issue and could easily be sorted. I read several reviews before my visit and was concerned that I had made a mistake booking here, so I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived! Anybody booking this location shound expect noise from outside, do your research before booking, and anyone saying its not value for money, check out the price of other hotels in the centre of oxford!
• Joanna (8/5): Clean, comfortable, brilliant location & great value. - Brilliant location right in the centre of Oxford. Very clean & spacious room. Really comfortable bed. Great to have tea & coffee supplied. There was some noise when the bins for surrounding restaurants etc were collected at around 7/7.30am each morning, but it was only brief & didn't bother me as I had to be up for work anyway. I think some noise is to be expected really in such a central location. Great value for money. Stairs are quite steep & narrow. Didn't bother me, but worth noting if you have a mobility issue. Ensuite bathroom was clean, but had black mold stains in the shower & also frequently smelt quite drainy. I think this was because there was no window or extractor fan in the bathroom. It was definitely very clean, but would be good to improve this if possible, as it is a bit put off-putting (& surprising as the rest of the room is so nice). The TV reception wasn't great, but I didn't really need this.

It was not bad, but not worth the price (approx 100€ per one night). The carpet might need a refresh. The toilet could have a deeper clean, and it is a bit old. The window not easy to open. Very warm.

Ale najgorsze było to, że w pokoju były pluskwy. Niestety tak, zostałam pogryziona i dwie złapałam na pościeli. Dramat :(
• Aishling (4/5): - Ali Inn is centrally located. Easy walking distance to the main tourist attractions and restaurants. The man working at reception was polite and welcoming and the place was warm. For Oxford, it was one of the most affordable places available. There are a few downsides for the more affordable price. The bedding and towels were clean, but overall the place was not clean. The property is dated, mattress was older and not comfortable. There is no free parking available (normal for this part of Oxford). The nearest car park is less than 5 minutes walk away and costs £42 for 24 hours. I think there is a waste depot next door, there was a continuous flow of bin lorry’s on the Monday morning.

• Xingzhe (1/5): I would lose some amount of confidence in booking.com if booking.com continue to list this property. - The room was reasonably spacious and location while in a dodgy alley, is central. I found bed bugs on the bed and the property didn’t get me a new room (apparently they were full), tried to gaslight me saying they didn’t receive any previous complaints. Also, there was no one at the front desk, the entire conversation was over the phone. After we left past midnight, they also refused to refund us and when I messaged them asking, they ignored me.

• Cindy (5/5): I got sick after checkout and they let me purchase another full day for only room they had left and it was so much bette - Its location was great! And it was clean. The pictures chosen for the website were of one room but did not represent the two rooms me and the couple I traveled with had. The carpet was horrible, the space was tiny, and the noise outside was notable all throughout the night.
