Jeden Tag gab es frische Küchlein / französische Spezialitäten. Die Möglichkeit, sich beim Frühstück am großen Tisch mit anderen Gästen zu unterhalten. Unser Zimmer (lag nach hinten und) war total überladen und plüschig. Das Essen, das vom unfreundlichen Besitzer zubereitet wurde, war überteuert.

It was very unfortunate that we both arrived here with a stomach virus so couldn’t enjoy the wonderful food! That was why we had booked! But William did everything he could for us to make our stay enjoyable, bringing us a beautiful cheeseboard as he knew we couldn’t go out. It’s a beautiful b and b and we want to return when we are well and enjoy the food! Loved everything

Felt like we were in a luxury villa and absolutely spoilt by the beautiful staff. Superb views, peaceful. Staff and William could not be more helpful. An ideal spot to relax or stop off on way somewhere else. Great chance to meet many other visitors from multi countries. house on multi levels and up steep hill. Better if you have a car . Possibly could offer snack lunches.

Expensive and did not match expectation - Welcome by housekeeper was warm We booked this as previous guests had reviewed the perfection and skill of the owners culinary skills. However when we asked if we could have dinner there we were told that William does not cook on a Wednesday! There were other guests who had stayed for the last 3 years and they were served dinner. The price was expensive at £160 for the night. Breakfast was served at the large dining table and again we were not offered a cooked breakfast where the afore-mentioned guests were!

• Giulia (10/5): My only regret is not having stayed longer! - This place is a slice of paradise! From the moment we walked in, it felt less like an hotel but more like you’re visiting a friend with a beautiful villa in Cape Peninsula. The set up of the B&B made it feel very much home-like, bright, airy and with beautiful quiet lounge music playing on. We arrived after a long flight and this was the perfect place to relax, with its stunning view & pool. We were staying in the Queen Room with Garden which was very spacious, extremely clean and with a generous bathroom with both shower & bath. The staff was fantastic, making you feel welcome from the first moment and being super helpful, thank you so much! We also appreciated having breakfast included which was absolutely excellent and very varied (along with a cappuccino made by the staff!) and the chance to get bottled water from the fridge in the kitchen. We did not have any drinks but you have the option to purchase a bottle of wine and enjoy it while looking at the view which I think it’s a brilliant idea. My only regret is that we did not stay longer. If ever in Cape Town area we will definitely be back & tell family and friends about it! The place was absolutely excellent. Very minor things - we did not have a bin in the room - so this would be a small adjustment that would make a nice difference. Additionally, we were traveling by taxi/Uber and did not find anyone to bring us back from Simon’s Town after dinner. Absolutely not the accommodation’s fault but would recommend having you own car if you want to stay here!

• Achim & Uschi (9/5): Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt rundum genossen, klare Weiterempfehlung für die Residence ! - Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war hervorragend. Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns sehr willkommen gefühlt. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich, aufmerksam und mega hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer waren modern, sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit einem bequemen Bett und allem, was man für einen entspannten Aufenthalt braucht. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück: große Auswahl, frische Produkte und sehr lecker, alles was das Herz begehrt. Auch die Lage der Residence William ist ideal – ruhig, aber doch mit dem Auto sehr gut zu erreichen. Hervorzuheben ist ausserdem noch der spezielle Dinner, welcher von William angeboten wird und sehr zu empfehlen ist. Pool konnte wegen tiefer Wassertemperatur (ca. 19°C) nur bedingt genutzt werden.
• Marlene (10/5): Wer in dieser Gegend eine Unterkunft sucht, in der man willkommen ist, wo alle Wünsche erfüllt werden und wo man sich ei - Alles in diesem Haus ist unglaublich. Von außen wirkt es eher schlicht. aber wenn man die Unterkunft betritt, ist man fasziniert von all den Dingen, die geschmackvoll miteinander kombiniert werden. Die Zimmer sind wunderschön mit einem grandiosen Ausblick. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück mit frischem, selbst gemachten Brot, frischem Granola und Früchten ist eine Gaumenfreude. Außerdem sollte man unbedingt das Abendessen dort genießen, das ebenso frisch und kreativ von William zubereitet wird. Allein der gedeckte Tisch ist ein Traum. Wir waren mit unseren 4 Kindern dort, sie sind zwischen 20 und 30 und sie waren genau so begeistert wie wir! Wir wollen alle bald wieder dorthin!

• Radhika (8/5): A lovely stay - The property is beautifully designed. It really feels like a home and the views are stunning. The room and the bathroom felt luxurious. The hosts were really accommodating with our requests and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable - thank you team. The breakfast was lovely but very continental and had been sitting out for a while. It is also worth noting that the property is up a very steep hill which can be a struggle with suitcases. Thankfully the staff kindly helped us!

• Verified traveler (10/5): Incredible view and home - William and his crew were very welcoming and we loved the dogs! The driveway is a bit steep and there is no signage, so we were kind of confused when we first pulled in but the directions were on point. Beautiful home and view. We left before breakfast but were given delicious croissants to take with us. Would stay here again.
• Catherine (10/5): Prime destination, perfect stay: people and place - The location and home are fantastic, comfortable and beautiful. The dinners provided are also excellent and personal preferences are thoughtfully accommodated. You may never want to leave the comfort and exquisite pool with lovely staff and catering but it’s an excellent base for Cape Point, snorkeling in nearby kelp forests and visiting penguins. It’s worth considering your mobility and if you have difficulty with stairs staying on a lower level. But if it isn’t a concern a private balcony is a lovely upgrade.

• Adam (9/5): Such a wonderful surprise - Beautiful decor clearly curated with pride by the owners. Lovely personal welcome by the owners and their lovely professional staff. Location was great; need a car as it is at the southern end of the town and up a very steep hill. We had room 5 which is the only room on the top floor and is lovely and private; it's a big room that is beautifully appointed with eclectic furnishings and a large balcony with expansive views directly out over False Bay. Dinner (needs to be pre-booked with William) was truly memorable and recommended; sat around a big table with other guests being served some quality food crafted by William with his clearly experienced chef's hat on. Breakfast was of a similar high quality. If you like high quality, stylish, quiet, intimate accommodation with excellent personal service, you should enjoy this... We were lucky enough to have Room 5, which has a lovely big balcony. The furniture on the balcony, whilst functional, was not of the same quality as the rest of the premises. We appreciate this may be due to the local baboons, but some loungers and a parasol would have been welcome.
