Guest Reviews
- Lonnie (9/5): Mtb friendly - I like that all rooms are on ground floor with easy access to load my mtn bike. Parked right at my door. Also walking distance to some good restaurants. Tub faucet didn't turn off all the way but that's minor. I am still coming back every time in Santa Fe.
- Jocelyne (9/5): The retro 50s was really well done and we enjoyed ourselves. - We loved the retro 50s vibe. The motel was very well maintained and the room was comfortable and clean. We thought that maybe being on the main drag that it would be noisy but was very quiet in our room. The price was reasonable. We did not have anything negative to say.
- Solovkin (10/5): -
- Adrian (5/5): - The hotel didn't allow dogs.
- Micah (10/5): -
- Greg (9/5): - Helpful and friendly staff. Very quaint and clean.
- Tonie (6/5): Available as needed. - Its availability and price. Check in was quick and easy. The inability to change payment form (card) at check-in. The tube appeared stained/scratched/old.

- Micah (10/5): -
- Gina (8/5): Classic vibe, old but very clean, easy access to town - Cutely decorated, easy location with parking. Clean and everything one needs for a night stay. Nothing. Was as expected.

- Heather (8/5): Affordable and cute, this place always gets our dollars when we're staying in Santa Fe! - This is our go-to spot when we stay in Santa Fe. It's kitschy and adorable. The desk staff is always very kind. The old school neon sign is what drew us to it at first, then the glorious NM-style art painted around the windows and doors. The rooms continue that vibe with lovely tile and very 50's vibes inside. This time my pillow smelled like cigarette smoke in a non-smoking room. I'm guessing the previous guest was quit the smoker and the cleaning folks didn't have time to notice the smell. I just put a tshirt over it and went back to bed.
- Robert (4/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - It is a lovely old-fashioned motel. Family owned, and operated - it is safe, clean and in an excellent location. Nothing
- Todd (10/5): Great basic accommodations for the cost - Two seperate rooms for the two full beds. Seperate bathroom entrances to the shared bathroom. Tvs, refrigerator, microwave eating area great room. Older facilities, but very clean and met our needs.
- Tamara (10/5): - I hope this motel doesn’t lose it’s character. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. I was able to do an early check-in (2 pm) which was convenient.
- Charles (9/5): always friendly staff.easy check in - authentic. great value all was great.
- Doug (8/5): Great vintage old motel - Raj is very friendly/ helpful. Cool old hotel on rte 66 Heater is loud... But it kicked out the heat.
- Robert (3/5): rooms are okay for the most part, but they are unsuitable for cold weather - It was a clean room with minimal amenities, comfortable furniture, in an okay location near a good restaurant. The staff were friendly, rooms were quiet. it was way too cold for us, every surface of the room was cold, even the carpet was too cold. I didn't even bother with the shower it was so cold. The heaters were not fit for purpose and would overheat the room when left on at night.
- elia (10/5): - It was very comfortable and clean.
The price is very reasonable.
- Joseph (8/5): It was nice - The location was perfect The WiFi sucked
- Andres Claudio (5/5): - dos habitaciones separadas dentro de la misma unidad. La calefacción no funcionaba y pasamos frío.
- Swoverland (4/5): - Very presentable No hot water for showers, tub. But hot water in sinks
- Russell (10/5): -
- Dalton (8/5): -
- Barbara (7/5): The owners were friendly and available. The location was good and the room provided what I needed. - The room was a Santa Fe style. It was clean and tidy and had character. A small refrigerator was useful as well as the microwave. There was a lot of traffic noise. The tub/shower needed an update.
- Heimbauer (5/5): Cute on the outside, clean on the inside but comfort level could be improved. - The outside was very cute and the bathroom was well maintained despite the age. The unit was clean. We’ve stayed at various retro/updated motels. We love the concept and appreciate the owner’s vision. The rooms were dark & a bit dingy. We understand the limited windows are to prevent the rooms from heating up but lighter lampshades and lighter color rug & bedding could help. The thin bedding seemed to be original from the 50’s as were the lumpy pillows (though the mattresses weren’t terrible). The AC/heat units were missing the dials to adjust the temperature and even if I wanted to use them they were so high on the wall that I couldn’t reach the mode dials. The bath mat was yellowed and the bathroom window was broken. Our expectations weren’t luxury- especially at this price point- but other retro motels we’ve stayed at all have had new pillows, comfortable new bedding and updated AC/Heat systems and overall lighter, brighter updates.
- Mario (7/5): -
- Douglas (5/5): - Location Room was very very small
- Mattingly (6/5): Historic motor lodge conveniently located. - Convenient location. Clean room. Mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave provided. Historic charm (exterior). Friendly reservationist. TV remote didn't work. Bedside lightbulb was broken. Electrical outlets were over crowded (scary). Grossly overpriced.
- Janet (8/5): - I’ve stayed her three times over TJ last five years and will stay here again. My only concern was the air conditioner, which was way too loud to use. I’d turn it on for a bit to cool off the room then turn it off again.
Excellent location for maneuvering around Santa Fe. Very nice people and always feel safe.
- Douglas (10/5): - Really good experience. Great location, friendly
- Deborah (8/5): - The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
The property appeared freshly painted and crisp. Parking was clear and easy to access but there appeared to be more than one vehicle per room and it filled up fast.
It may be necessary to have a special place to park vehicles with trailers. Perhaps the lot to the south.
Inside the room it was rather dark with a perfumed smell. The room (12) was rather cramped but could be decluttered. It would be a good idea to remove the old tv platform and mount the flat panel tv to the wall. That would free up space and eliminate the bumping hazard.
Removing the credenza and putting the desk and chair near the window would offer a lot more space.
Building a cabinet for the mini fridge and microwave would provide space for the coffee station on top freeing up more space.
The mattress may need to be flipped and could use a down mattress pad. It was firm but the coils were noticeable and the metal blocking off the underside bowed and sounded with movement.
There is a nice cafe to the south but be careful walking, the sidewalks are treacherous.
The property is easy to access from the south but it is necessary to turn around if coming from the north. The median does not allow direct access.
- Carol (10/5): - The motel was conveniently located near all of the attractions and things we had planned to do. It was also very clean, and the roses were absolutely beautiful. The motel was immaculately kept inside and out the service was friendly and helpful.
- Michael (8/5): - Charming former motor court motel. Clean and well maintained. Could have used tissues and a hair dryer (for my wife) in the room. Otherwise a solid place to stay for the value.
- ROBERT (8/5): - The onsite owner was helpful and did everything he could to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. Very professional
- Larita (10/5): Enjoyed it! - Loved the old time feel, decor, cleanliness. Could have use a few electrical plugs but not a big deal.
- Clayton (10/5): - Charming older "motor motels" like this are hard to find. Anyone nostalgic on old route 66 may know if people detoured down to santa fe after the reroute Cerrillos Road was where you went. I would have liked it then, but I liked it now and thought it was cool and charming. I got there at night and really saw the colors the next morning. Inside is like most of these I have found and some things inside were older... However everything worked and it was very clean!
- David (10/5): - helpful staff
- Marianne (10/5): - It was a very quaint Spanish style motel.
It was clean with comfortable beds.
- Kate (9/5): Support independent businesses - Very nice and professional owners, very thick walls equals very quiet, I love how the outside is painted! The only thing is the black curtain is thin. Two layers of curtains so you can let in some light would be great.
- Robert (2/5): - Pictures on the web did not show the room I stayed in, the room I was in was horrible. The room was extremely small, almost closet like and needed to be gutted, walls, floor, ceiling, doors, door ways all needed to be gutted and redone. TV stuck out from the wall in front of entrance to bathroom. All furniture and bed very very old. I chose this hotel because it was vintage and the pictures on the web showed it to be somewhat nice. I would recommend not staying unless you see the room you will be staying in first. Also, the rates should be cheaper since there is no pool, breakfast, or snack shop.
- John (10/5): Classic 66 motel - Classic Rte. 66 New Mexico motel. Very Santa Fe style with antique furniture and comfortable bed. Very friendly owner who makes sure everything is good for your stay.
- jaime p (8/5): - It was a convenient location for our event.
- Jon (10/5): GREAT STAY - Very cozy stay. The family that runs the place is friendly and always around it seems. Would stay there again when visiting Santa Fe.
- Ethan (6/5): - It was all right, I would stay there again if I needed to.
- Philip (7/5): It was comfortable - No breakfast
- Minna (6/5): - Hyvä pysäköinti, lämmintä vettä tuli. Huone oli siisti ei haissut. Suihkussa vedenpaine olematon. WiFi oli erittäin huono. Aamulla ei toiminut enää ollenkaan.
- Cheryl (10/5): Great! - Always a nice little spot with good value.
- LaRue (8/5): -
- Brian (6/5): - An alright place.
- Michelle (4/5): - Although the staff was very kind and helpful, our room was very inconvenient. The lighting is very poor throughout the room and bath. The room was small and cramped and no electrical outlet in the bathroom. Too expensive. We had trouble with charging our phones. The tv was in an unsafe position-my husband bumped his head on it. I loved the landscaping and exterior decoration.
- Paula (8/5): Comfortable and convenient, quiet rest stop.Friendly staff - Well-maintained with roses and butterflies outside. Comfortable bed Microwave malfunctioned, Few accessible outlets for phone charging, etc.
- Julie (10/5): - This place is a gem! Immaculate, wonderful friendly owners on site, comfortable bed. Price unbeatable!
- Ivan (7/5): -
- Joel (1/5): Place sucks - Nothing charged for room did not stay . No refund. Nothings
- Skylar (2/5): - The property and location are nice but the staff is the worst I've ever experienced. The man that checked us in up front
- Devin (8/5): - Super clean and charming. Great owners and they live on-site to help guests and maintain property. Room is a little outdated. Has the working basics for vacation. Ie clean bathroom, refrigerator, microwave and AC.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Older, but relatively clean hotel. - Had to be buzzed in lobby door and then reception is still behind glass partition. Leaves one wondering about how safe hotel is. Room was clean and shower had plenty of pressure. Bed was comfortable, but other furniture was outdated and not that useful. Good location on Cerillos Road and close to Pantry Restaurant. AC unit was effective but noisy. Overall the hotel is very dated but clean.
- Rebecca (10/5): Great location, comfortable, clean room. Highly recommend. - Comfortable room, great location, friendly helpful owners.
- Vick (8/5): Very good -
- Kendall (10/5): - Cozy, clean and friendly motel located conveniently on the Santa Fe main drag. Like stepping back in time with a cool neon sign and vintage Southwestern charm with no hipster nonsense. Management accommodated our slightly late arrival with no worries.
- Paul (6/5): - Property is older and moderately maintained
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay again! - This motel is an older motor court type property that has been updated. Everything was very clean and the motel was quiet. I loved the wood planks and beams on the interior doors and ceilings, as well as the decorated tiles at the base of the window. A bonus was that the motel is very close to The Pantry, our favorite Santa Fe restaurant.
My recommendations for the owners would be to add blackout shades behind the curtains, and add extra hooks/towel racks in the bathroom. Modern lamps with USB ports and plug outlets would also be a plus.
Thank you for a nice overnight stay! We would stay here again.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Location and the management was great. The room was comfortable.
- Joe (10/5): A wonderful place for a stay in Santa Fe - We stayed two nights at the Cottonwood Court while visiting Santa Fe, and then a third night several days later when our travels brought us back to town. The motel is a cute historic motel with great rates and run by a wonderful couple. It is very clean and has a great location in town, as well as being a short walk from the Pantry, a great restaurant. Although it is on the main road we couldn't hear traffic at night. Some of the rooms are on the small side, though very well laid out.
- Cheryl (8/5): Good - Nice price. Not enough plugs to charge devices
- Ronald (7/5): Good - The A/C was effective, though loud.
The roof really is held up by vigas (logs). The Wi-Fi was weak.
The wiring was a little scary. The microwave plugs into the same wall-mounted power strip as the lamp TV and cable box.
- Daniel (10/5): - Place was great. I had 1 small issue with tv and they fixed I in less then 5 mins.
- Martha (6/5): - Nostalgic, as old motor motels once were, but a bit more updating I would appreciate, for bringing on the charm. Just three things I'd fix if I were the owner: Replace the two framed pictures in which the images had faded out to nothing, with fresh vibrant NM colored themes! Tuck in the wiring that was coming detached along the ceiling and refresh the paint there, too. Because the room is so small (I was in #12) dark colors made it feel smaller. Change maroon to beige? Dark carpet also feels like it could be dirty, so a lighter color for it, too! Can't fix this: It is right on Cerillos, so quite loud traffic but my earplugs mostly made the night a quiet one.
- Sally (7/5): Good - Clean. Easy check-in and out.
- Mayes (7/5): liked the decor. am a fan of resurgence of 50's motels - User error perhaps: couldn't get remote to turn TV off.
Bed not comfortable . Also didn't like the space under bed. Kept kicking metal.
- Katherine (7/5): Good -
- Paul (10/5): Great Little Place In Santa Fe - Homey and charming. Liked everything.
- Christopher (10/5): So good. - Jackie(sp) and Raj are super kind!! If I ever find myself this way again in need of a place to lay my head, it will be here with them. Quant and cute property with some history to it.
- Travis (10/5): - I love an old school motel and this is the real deal : ) The staff is very friendly!
- Taylor (10/5): Cutest motel in Santa Fe - My boyfriend and I go here every so often to get away for the weekend. It is cozy and quiet, very close to many coffee shops. The staff is always very pleasant and welcoming. We hope to come often in the future for many years to come. Lack of outlets, no breakfast.
- Joel (10/5): All good - Clean, well maintained and priced right.
- Jessica (10/5): - quiet, comfortable, and the women working was so wonderful
- Phil (8/5): Nice reasonably priced and comfortable. Stayed many times and will return. - No breakfast Stayed here many times and it’s always good, comfortable and quiet. Nice management family. Reasonably priced and clean.
- Shannon (8/5): - .
- Lynn (9/5): Superb -
- Dino (10/5): - Nothing fancy, but Good value for the price!
- Rick (6/5): Pleasant - Parking close to room. Single story. Wifi didn't work. Deadbolt hard to open and close. Had to cross in front of another room.
- Rocio (10/5): Relaxing stay - The place was cute and staff are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely chime back again.
- Dalton (10/5): - Staff is great, location is convenient!!!
- Rs (10/5): Exceptional - Well furnished and maintained older motel. Room and bathroom both super clean. Absolutely great abode style with log ceiling beams and beautiful wood work. Couple great food places very close by. Owner is very pleasant. It was quiet despite being next to a busy road. Definitely will be back. Minor. Room is drafty when it is windy. Heater kept room warm but it had to run a lot.
- Escarcega (10/5): Thank you was great will return - Clean and courthouse felt like home

- Barton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blair (8/5): - Cottonwood Courts is charming, inexpensive and just a simple place to stay when visiting Santa Fe. I hope no one ever buys it, destroys all the character and paints it white, grey, and black.
- Barton (10/5): Exceptional -
