• richard (10/5): Amazing small, family owned hotel!!! - This is a family owned,small hotel in a quiet area of Aruba. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. We took an all day tour around the island to see all the sights. The breakfast chef, the owners brother, was our driver and tour guide. He was amazing and let us take as much time as we wanted at each stop. Couldn’t recommend this place more!! No pool

The owner is adorable, and her family and staff is amazing. They make you feel like family. Everything we need they provided to us. I love that they have kayaks available for the guests to use. Breakfast by the water every morning made by the Chef was the best way to start the day.I can’t wait to come back next year. I can’t think about anything. We really love our stay.

From having tasty breakfast with iguanas by the ocean, chatting with Elysee while making omlette to meeting amazing guests from all over the world that almost instantly became your friends. The whole family running Serene is amazing, warm and welcoming, you feel like you are not just a guest. The beach in front of hotel is beautiful, atmosphere is so chill and after visiting all the famous beaches around Aruba (and all of them are stunning), we realised that we love our Serene beach the most. • Maria (10/5): - This is family owned property. Desiree and her family went out of their way to help us on our first trip to Aruba. We traveled all over the island to many different beaches but my favorite was the small beach behind the property with its own "Tree of Life" full of birds and surrounded by crabs, iguanas and lizards. Many beautiful fish to see when snorkeling. Kayaking to the Sea Glass Island was also very fun. Beautiful scenery, fabulous sunsets, great breakfast, clean room with great view. Kayaks and snorkels provided. We will definitely return.

We had the pleasure of meeting many of the family members, since they were staying there for the holidays. They have a saying painted on the wall that says Come as guests, leave as family and that is exactly how we felt!

They make you feel part of the family. Breakfast is delicious and the view of the restaurant is wonderful, just in front of the sea. Room is so comfortable, it has all you need to rest and sleep good. There is not doubt we are going to come back to this property. Everything was perfect.

Desde Argentina, incluso antes de llegar, ya estaban súper disponibles para responder todas nuestras consultas y nos hicieron sentir bienvenidos desde el primer momento. Fuimos en nuestra luna de miel y nos recibieron con una carta y una botella para brindar, un detalle hermoso que marcó el inicio de una estadía inolvidable. El lugar está atendido por una familia histórica de la isla y, desde que llegamos, nos sentimos como en casa. Viajamos durante Navidad y Año Nuevo, y en Nochebuena nos invitaron a compartir la celebración con ellos. Prepararon un banquete espectacular con comidas típicas de Holanda y Aruba, fue una noche hermosa donde pudimos conocer sus historias y aprender más sobre la isla. Para ese momento, Serene ya era nuestro hogar en Aruba. El lugar es espectacular: playa y bajada privada, desayunos increíbles preparados por el chef, y mientras comés podés ver peces, tortugas, cangrejos e iguanas. Hay kayaks, equipo de snorkel y dan ganas de quedarse todo el día ahí de lo lindo y entretenido que es. Todo estaba impecable: limpieza excelente, aire acondicionado funcionando perfecto y muy buena ubicación, con dos restaurantes increíbles cerca para ir caminando. Si tenés auto, en pocos minutos estás en Oranjestad, Palm Beach o cualquier playa de la isla. Siempre vamos a recordar nuestra estadía en Serene By The Sea. Gracias a toda la familia por convertir este lugar en un verdadero paraíso y hogar.

• Marco Enrico (4/5): Decepcionante, e parecia que estava incomodando. - A vista da pousada é linda, da pra ver um por-do-sol sensacional, e fica ao lado de dois restaurantes chave da região de Savaneta (o Flying Fish e um outro ao lado) que possuem mesas na água. Tem caiaque para ir até a Seaglass Island, que é um passeio legal, e snorkel para ver os inúmeros peixes que ficam ali no pier da pousada, redes para descansar, tudo é muito tranquilo e silencioso durante o dia e a noite. tem um bom frigobar no quarto, televisão e uma cama grande. A varanda é bem gostosa de ficar vendo o mar e relaxando. Nos decepcionamos com o Hotel/Pousada... Não era nada do que estava nas fotos. Parecia que já tinha sido, mas foi deixando de ter manutenção, e o que se manteve foi apenas a vista, que graças a Deus não muda. Chegamos e não encontramos ninguém para nos receber, recepção fechada, uma senhora que estava trabalhando na casa dos donos (pelo que entendi) nos recebeu meio incomodada. O quarto estava limpo, mas com um cheiro forte de desinfetante, que não saiu até a hora que fomos embora. a decoração da pousada, assim como os cuidados com paredes, canos, etc., estavam bem corroídos e largados. Eles haviam dito que iam fazer uma surpresa pois estávamos em lua de mel, chegamos la e nada... A ducha do banheiro estava caindo, molhava tudo, e o controle do ar condicionado, não funcionava direito. Por fim, ninguém nos avisou que não tem equipe disponível na pousada, e o jantar tivemos que correr atrás de algo, pois não tem na pousada, e quase todos os restaurante fecham cedo (ficam mais para quem quer ver o pôr-do-sol e jantar cedo). o Café da manhã foi ok, mas sentimos que parecia que estávamos incomodando quando quisemos repetir o omelete, fora que as frutas não era bem frescas e pareciam ter sido tiradas da geladeira de uma casa vizinha. Tanto que no fim, decidimos mudar de hotel e região, e não utilizamos a última diária, saímos e deixamos a chave na porta, só repararam no dia seguinte.

El desayuno es muy bueno, tiene lo necesario y si algo no habia, uno lo pedia y ellos se encargaban de conseguirlo, siempre muy atentos a complacernos en todo. Una noche Eliseo cocino para nosotros, nos preparo una cena romantica y estuvo exquisita. La ubicacion sobre el mar es hermosa. Las puestas de sol inolvidables. Dada la ubicacion se debe tener auto para poder recorrer la isla.

Bônus fica pela localização (pôr do sol é coisa de cinema) e pelas atividades extras que é possível fazer sem precisar pagar adicionais, por exemplo, a pousada disponibiliza cadeiras e guarda-sol para praia, snorkel para mergulho, toalhas de banho adicionais para o mar e caiaque para remo. Estadia superou demais as expectativas. Parabéns! A cozinha compartilhada poderia ser um pouco mais "limpa", mas isso não onera em nada o lugar.

Nos dejaron quedarnos hasta las 18 del día que teníamos que salir por quedarnos nuestro vuelo salía en la noche. El placer de abrir la puerta de la habitación y tener el mar al lado es impagable. Los atardeceres desde el desayuno un lujo Está bastante en refacción para mejorar el lugar una vez terminado va a ser más hermosa todavía

• gwen (10/5): - Being able to wake up and see the beautiful ocean every morning and night the family that owns it are so very nice chef gets up and cooks your breakfast every morning and feeds the sea creatures thst greets us everymorning at breakfast the crabs walkd by and the iguanas he feeds the fish and u can look over the deck to see the besutiful fish u can snorkel or ride kayak suppled by the property their are 3 restaurants that are popular right within walking distance 2 are expensive but foods is good their is a pizza stoe and bar around the corner which u ca go too since i do not drive the owner was nice enogh to take me in her car and show me how to get around the corner to eat and her brother drove me to the airport. Their are so many comfortable chairs around the property the property is quiet during the day most people are gone during the day if u want peace and quiet this is the place for u nothing fancy if u want thst stay in palm beach area but i will be back again

• riccardo (8/5): Un paradiso ma solo per chi è spartano - Struttura immersa nella tranquillità, con un reef davanti splendido per lo snorkeling! Tartarughe, pellicani, iguana, murene tutto a portata di occhi e maschera! La coppia che gestisce la struttura è gentilissima e accogliente oltre a essere molto disponibili. Ottimo il servizio kayak e apprezzato molto anche l'attrezzatura snorkeling gratuita. Camera vista oceano molto bella con frigo e aria condizionata. Struttura molto isolata e con pochi locali se si è a piedi. I ristoranti attorno sono carissimi, una media di 100 dollari a testa per pranzo o cena. Unico locale vicino semplice buono ed economico è zeroover, alla mano con pesce fresco fritto! Struttura purtroppo in decadimento, non corrispondente alle foto e molto spartana da rinnovare. Peccato!!Colazione scarna e poco varia con pulizia e igiene purtroppo molto discutibili... Il titolare fa quello che può ma da solo non è facile. Abbiamo provato a prendere una semplice insalata a pranzo con succo d'arancia, in due 70 dollari... prezzo/ qualità eccessivo. Se non si hanno grandi pretese e si è spartani la struttura va benissimo. Il mare davanti merita.

• Neil (9/5): Great friendly place that over delivered on my expectations - I don't often add reviews but wanted to give one here to say that this place looks better than the photos! I've stayed so many places that are a let down after seeing the pictures online, that I generally assume something will be worse than it looks and this was not the case here! I had been slightly concerned that the room looked quite basic on the pictures but it was actually really nice and comfortable, with a very comfy bed. In addition the location was fantastic with lovely sea views and lots of space to lounge by the water. The staff were super friendly and helpful, it definitely felt more friendly than any corporate hotel. It's also very close to the Flying Fishbone restaurant as well as Zeerovers which is phenomenal value for really fresh fish & shrimp.

The grounds are very small, cosy and quaint. The thought put into the decor is what makes the property really unique & full of character. There are palm trees everywhere & you can walk directly into the sea for a swim, the water is nice & shallow too. I really enjoyed my breakfast here & even asked the chef to cook me lunch before leaving to the airport.. it was one of the most delicious meals I had in Aruba! Proper home cooked food made with love! The beds are extremely comfortable, I had the best nights sleep and the rooms are very clean. I loved the amenities in the bathroom, they smelt amazing! This is a lovely family owned business & everyone working here was so lovely, polite, warm & friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay, I thoroughly enjoyed it! Loved everything!

Being on the water was priceless and the views were amazing. Overall, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Very nice that they offer breakfast - simple but adequate. The owners/family were very friendly and accommodating and made you feel comfortable. Snorkeling equipment and towels were available which was great. Very easy to check in and check out. Rooms could do with some updating. Over the weekend there was no one there cleaning and neatening up the shared amenities but on Monday the staff were there straightening up. Kayaks need some repair.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary with the bottle of prosecco they gave us and chose to spend most of our time just relaxing here. We snorkeled and took the available kayaks out. They even let us borrow fishing poles. I recommend the included breakfast every morning with coffee, juice, toast, fruit & homemade omelets. The wildlife of birds, fish, crabs & lizards on the deck are fun to watch. The room, bed & shower are quiet and comfortable. The view outside to the left and right is very beautiful. We even made reservations for a romantic dinner by the water with chef that included wine & dessert. Other restaurants were walkable like Flying Fishboone and we enjoyed the romantic Old Man & the Sea for dinner over the water in a bungalow. So even though we rented a car to drive round trip to the airport and explore Baby Beach, we just didn’t need to go very far from relaxing in the hammock at Serene By the Sea. Wonderful owners make it even more enjoyable. They even loaned us beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels and gave me fresh cut aloe for our sunburn. Wonderful service.
• Andreas (8/5): Very good - A lovely small, family-run hotel. The owners are very kind and accommodating. It is quietly located right by the water with a small access point, far away from the high-rise hotels of Palm Beach. The breakfast is simple but sufficient. Chef Celeste makes a great omelet, ensuring the day starts well. Some parts of the property could use a little sprucing up, but overall, we had a wonderful time there.

• Ferenc (9/5): Superb - Serene by the Sea is a great place to relax. Just a few meters from your room, you can reach the small sandy beach with sun beds, hammocks and plenty of seating. Here you can spend the whole day undisturbed and enjoy the sunset without animation or annoying music. If you make a request, it will be quickly fulfilled in this small, family-run hotel. If you expect more than scrambled eggs, omelettes, fried eggs, toast, cheese, ham, jam and fruit for breakfast, you should take care of yourself. At the Serena by the Sea, you are in Aruba and not in the USA like at Eagle Beach. It's the real thing.

• Elise (10/5): Perfect Stay - I wanted to stay at a place that was peaceful, ocean front, small and cute lol and this place was all of the above and more! Everything was great for me. It is not right by the super touristy areas. It took me around 30 minutes to drive to Noord and 15-20 to Oranjestad. Then when I left to visit those areas I couldn’t wait to get back to Savaneta! I have to say that it was honestly difficult for me to leave the hotel in the first place because I loved it so much. There’s a selection of local and other restaurants and beaches near by. Flying Fishbone and Zeerover are just steps away. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again!
• Marilyn (10/5): Serene by the Sea is appropriately named. We will return! - Serene by the Sea exceeded all of our expectations. Their communications before our stay were thorough and made us feel planned for and very welcome. Our oceanfront room had everything we needed and some nice things we didn't expect, such as Aruba Aloe products in the bathroom, including hand wash, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. The bed was extremely comfortable. Reno, the manager, took good care of us and oriented us to the property. The location, beach lounges, and ample provisions for relaxing in the shade were perfect. This was our first time staying in Savaneta, and we look forward to returning to Serene. I cannot think of anything!

• Krista (6/5): Serene by the Sea has a great location but needs updates and more attention to detail. - I really enjoyed the location of Serene by the Sea, as it’s right by the ocean, offering beautiful views and a peaceful atmosphere. The staff were also very polite and accommodating, which made our stay more pleasant. While the property has great potential, our suite felt a bit outdated, with some wear on the furniture and fixtures that could use a refresh. The breakfast options were limited, offering just an omelet and a few pastries, which left us wanting a bit more variety. We also had a few disruptions from the owner's relatives and dog living on property, which impacted the overall peaceful experience we were hoping for.

• Kim (10/5): - The hotel is small, family run and friendly. You are away from the hustle and bustle of the major resort area. The breakfast is fresh with the cook (very nice) preparing any style eggs/omelet, breads, pastries, cheese, ham and fruit also available. Coffee, tea and orange juice provided. The Flying Fishbone Restaurant (famous for dining with your feet in the water) is next door. The snorkeling was good and we saw a turtle. Took the Kayak out. Be aware of the current further out in the water. Enjoyed our stay

• William (10/5): Our oasis in Aruba - This is a quaint, delightful place that is not in the typical tourist district. Our room overlooked the Caribbean and we walked less than 100 ft to the water's edge. As a small place you are not fighting the crowds and with the included beach chairs, beach towels, snorkel equipment, and kayaks this was a perfect place to relax. Also breakfast was included every morning. It is close to 3 fabulous restaurants and within a short driving distance to Baby Beach, a must visit beach! This is a family run place and what a great family they are. Very friendly, helpful, (especially when we had a dead battery as we were departing for the airport) and accommodating. For us it was the perfect place to stay.
