Lots of lovely restaurants for eating out in the evening. Claudia was a good host. Mattresses were a little hard for the older members of the party.

• Inga (5/5): Passable - Stuff was helpful and friendly Extremely noisy until 4 am every night as it has several bars downstairs! Advertised as 'luxury' but we were extremely disappointed with quality of bed, bed linen, bathroom facilities and kitchen - no luxury at all as we didn't even have bar of soap on arrival and the owner offered a bit of soap from next door apartment. We were staying for long 9 nights!
• Cynthia (9/5): A beautiful relaxing stay. - This suite was beautiful, comfortable, spotless, spacious, well appointed and conveniently located. Claudia was very kind and helpful overall, including going out of her way to drive me to the train station when no taxi was available. The only downside was its proximity to a pub, which on warm evenings was popular and thus noisy until closing time. Closing the windows helped, but did not entirely eliminate the issue. Earplugs suggested.

I ended up buying the scent she had in a diffuser 😊 The apartment was also very spacious, quiet, well located, equipped with city maps etc. The hostesses were very friendly, helpful and attentive. We had fresh fruits and a bottle of wine upon arrival, a priceless touch 😊 Nothing

Location convenient noise till early hours of the morning as the area is surrounded by bars etc. And the bed is very firm, takes some getting used to. The pillows were hard as rock too and we had to ask for others with mixed success.

Also restaurants and bars and coffee shops within minutes of this property… sound proof windows and air conditioning also a great plus . The property had 3 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms and a washing machine & kitchen which was very handy ! Very spacious and convenient apartment, equipped with everything you need. We really enjoyed having three separate bedrooms, each with a private bathroom - perfect for the comfortable stay of 5 to 6 people. And the nice balcony as well. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower hot and powerful .As a solo traveller I felt secure and very at home - it was lovely to have a kitchen again to prepare my own food and a bonus to catch up on washing with a washing machine in the apartment ! There wasn’t anything I didn’t like .

• Claudia (10/5): Relaxing, easy and fun - Claudia's house allowed us to experience everything Lucca has to offer! - The location of the apartment was excellent, inside the walls of Lucca and close to everything we wanted. We really appreciated the access to free parking. The apartment itself was immaculate. It was extremely clean and met all of our needs for a relaxing three-night stay. The air conditioning was a bonus in the heat of summer. Claudia met us to hand over the keys and she was so welcoming and helpful with tips on where to go and what to do. We will definitely stay again on our next trip to beautiful Lucca! We liked everything!

This apartment would be great for both a short or long stay. - The location was excellent - 60 metres to/from the bus stop (convenient for the railway station) and just a couple of minutes from the main shopping avenue. The apartment was truly amazing. It had beautiful decor, with a fully equipped kitchen area. The whole apartment was large and airy. There was air conditioning in all rooms which was very welcome in the heat. The apartment felt very safe. Our host, Claudia, kindly left fresh fruit and a lovely bottle of wine for us. This was exceptional accommodation and I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it. Nothing.
• Juli (8/5): Lovely Apartment - The apartment was spotless, well cared for and very comfortable. Location was wonderful and very quiet. The owners were very warm and nice. Only issue...we accidentally broke a glass cover to their cook top. Our fault, accidents happen, didn't mind paying to replace the glass cover. However the owner charged us enough to replace the entire cook top, burners and all, when only the cover was broken. Still doesn't seem right but we paid. Made for a very expensive stay.

The location within Lucca’s city wall makes it an ideal place to explore this picturesque and interesting city. Claudia, our hostess gave us some great recommendations for places to eat and shop and was very responsive to all communication. Highly recommended. Nothing - everything was great.

• Kevin (10/5): Tuscany is our favourite place to holiday and Lucca our favourite city. - The apartment was in the perfect location, next to the amazing Lucca city walls with easy access to everything Lucca has to offer. Claudia was the brilliant host, spending time to not only explain the facilities in the apartment but also the local amenities, she checked with us mid-stay that all was OK. The apartment was so clean and comfortable. During our time in Lucca we also saw the Roman Viaduct and visited the botanical gardens. Nothing at all, apart from we could not stay longer.

• Robert (10/5): Great apartment and wonderfully convenient! - Our 3 night stay in beautiful Lucca was made all the more special due to the perfect accommodations of La Fortuna and the attentiveness of our very gracious hostess Claudia. With three bedrooms and three full baths, our family of three adults found the apartment to be more than sufficiently spacious for both privacy and family gathering time for meals and planning the next days’ activities. The location was perfect: just inside the Santa Maria Gate and just around the corner from the main Via Fillungo. We found convenient paid parking 50 steps from the apartment, outside the ZTL. Claudia was very helpful and flexible when our arrival plans were delayed by traffic and her thoughtful welcome gift of a wonderful wine and delicious local fruits was a lovely surprise. We will most definitely be repeat visitors! Nothing to dislike! The apartment is beautifully and solidly constructed, and provided everything we needed. With the double/glass windows, we had no noise issues.

You could see at first glance that the owners take great pride in what they do and this is clearly visible in the attention to detail throughout the apartment. The location is also fantastic everything you require shops,bars,restaurants etc are just minutes away. Our hosts Claudia and Claudio are lovely people very welcoming and always willing to help in whatever way they can, I can only say that it was a pleasure to have met them and both my wife and I are looking forward to meeting them again in the near future.
