• MARIANNA (9/5): - Disponibilità e gentilezza dello staff fantastica. Zona silenziosa e stanze ampie con arredamento e colori tipici. Cibo preparato dall'hotel assolutamente da provare!
• Gaia (8/5): - L'appartamento in cui abbiamo soggiornato per due notti si raggiunge dalla strada principale attraverso tre rampe di scale. É composto da due camere da letto doppie, un salottino, angolo cucina e bagno con doccia. L'arredamento è molto tipico, con porte colorate di azzurro, quadri raffiguranti la Medina, mensole di legno e specchi intagliati. La posizione è perfetta per visitare la Medina e i numerosi mercati/souk. La colazione è servita all'ultimo piano, accanto alla terrazza da cui si può osservare uno scorcio di città vecchia, ed è composta da pane, formaggino, datteri, marmellata, caffè, uova fritte. La proprietaria è stata molto gentile e si è resa disponibile per informazioni sui ristoranti e su cosa visitare. La casa potrebbe essere un po' più curata, ma non eravamo mai state in Tunisia e non conosciamo gli usi e le tradizioni. Nel complesso, per un soggiorno di qualche giorno a Tunisi é una buona soluzione. La seconda notte, su un letto abbiamo trovato pezzi di intonaco caduti dal soffitto. Per utilizzare ql’acqua calda é necessario aprire la bombola del gas.
• Helene (4/5): Great place to visit, but do you want to live there? - It you like traditional accommodation in a non-western country, this is for you. If you like the usual western-type facilities, it is probably not. While staying in the old Medina of Tunis sounds romantic, it's not fun repeatedly getting lost in the alleyways and having to drag a heavy suitcase to your accommodation after a flight because taxis and cars can not drive through. With no maps given as a guide, it can be very difficult to find a way to the nearest street where you can get a cab (even with Google maps). Locals told us they get lost there. As well, the Medina is a residential area known for its markets. But they close around 6pm. No evening cafes, and the very few restaurants we found were expensive. The upside is very pleasant and helpful hosts. We left for a central hotel not because of the accommodation, but because of the location.

Le matelas du grand lit devrait être remplacé, pas de pression ni de rideau au niveau de la douche, pas de savon, pas de serviettes mains, un seul échantillon de shampoing..

• Tania (10/5): Excellent - Dar Kenza is fabulous. The staff are friendly, helpful and responsive. The rooms are perfect and reflect the history and culture. It is in the heart of the medina and perfect for exploring the area. The area is safe. Delicious breakfast especially the assida. Listening to the muezzins call to prayer from the mosques in the evening on the terrace roof is a highlight. Thank you Dar Kenza!

El desayuno también fue muy bueno y variado y se agradece la ubicación dentro de la Medina. La ubicación dentro de la Medina es estupenda sin embargo, las instalaciones de la habitación necesitan una renovación, baño poco funcional, ducha mejorable, cama incómoda y detalles de mantenimiento que restan confort. Lugar recomendable por la hospitalidad, pero conviene ajustar expectativas respecto a la habitación.

Hosts were very friendly and the breakfast that was provided was very filling (and varied with local food as well which was great) The bathroom/shower could come with more "protection" to limit the water that escapes the shower area vs the rest of the bathroom Some utensils/plates/glasses could be provided as well so that if you want to bring some food back to the accomm, you have the cutlery/crockery to be able to eat.

• 1444d80fd18873bd409eac173d2cfe32 (5/5): Insomma - La posizione è veramente eccezionale, praticamente sarà come dormire in una casa tipica del posto molto antica. Non voglio fare una recensione negativa perche comunque il personale è stato gentile però devo mettere in guardia i prossimi viaggiatori. Se avete spirito di adattamento è il posto giusto per voi altrimenti cercate altrove. Struttura molto datata e piena di moquette e polvere non indicata per le persone allergiche. L’acqua calda si ottiene soltanto aprendo una bombola di gas. Il bagno è fatiscente e troverete solo due piccoli campioncini di shampoo e due asciugamani molto usurati. Colazione povera: due uova, del pane e del caffè servita all ultimo piano quindi non adatta a persone con ridotta mobilità. Wi-Fi assente e aggiungo che in inverno potrebbe fare molto freddo.

• Trilletta (8/5): Struttura tipica - La posizione all'interno della medina; la colazione tipica sulla terrazza. La stanza era un po' fredda, bisognava usare stufette elettriche ma riscaldavano poco; per avere l'acqua calda si doveva aprire la bombola a gas e poi richiederla subito, abbiamo avuto l'impressione che fosse poco sicuro.

• Anne (2/5): Old medina location with fewer facilities than we expected - The staff was quite welcoming at first. After some discussion, the staff accepted to pay us the money back due to the lack of hot water, which we appreciated even it took some discussion to get there. The property had no hot water in the bathroom. First the hosts had forgotten a gas bottle but when they brought it, it was only possible to get hot water in the kitchen, not the shower. The flat was charming but rather cold and couldn't be properly heated. The latter is less surprising due to the old medina location of course.

• Rohan (9/5): Great home stay ish with lovely hosts and decent breakfast on the rooftop - Breakfast was good. A nice home cooked meal and loved how local it was! The rooms were big with a nice living room. The staff were just lovely and soo welcoming. That alone made our stay here amazing and its very well priced and located right in the Medina! The rooms were cold. Shower has no pressure plus the hot water wasn't really hot. The beds are also sinking in the middle so not an amazing nights sleep but you get what you pay for.

She made me feel really comfortable, especially as a solo woman traveler. The place was so beautiful, and if I was with a partner, I would love to stay here with them. • Tuukka (8/5): - Location is perfect if you want to explore medina. It is also close pretty to the city center, trams and train station. Breakfast was served in a room on the top of the building so there is a great view to look at while enjoying your breakfast. It included also Tunisian specialities. Very tasty. The room in ground floor was pretty dark because no much sunlight came in.

• SAVAS (9/5): A very good Stay to experience Tunis - owner and staff were really good ,helpful people.I will never forget Aziz,who defend us fiercely against cab driver who took us from airport to Dar Kenza and tried to overcharge us when arrived although we show the address and agreed on fare before get in the cab.the Location is perfect just in medina to experience real Tunis,and very close Zitouna Mosque and 6-7 minutes walk to Bab el Bahr where you could take a cab to everywhere you would like to go! I strongly recommend this place I think nothing in fact, but ı would prefer two eggs instead of one egg in breakfast.I would like to say something not related to Dar Kenza but small cafe just before Madrasa Slimania,they seems friendly but sell you a cup of mint tea at 8 Tunisian Dinar, which is 2-3 Dinar in classy cafes on Avenue Habib Bourguiba! Again stay away cafe delice in Sidi Bou said when you place an order for caffee they bring some untasty commertial cake you do not asked for as if it is free of charge then when paying bill they charge you even they do not accept credit card!
• Sandrine (2/5): Déçus - Le personnel très sympathique Le confort du logement : il faisait froid c'était mal chauffé il y avait un espacement entre les vitres et le mur donc beaucoup de froid qui passait. Les lits n'étaient pas confortables. La douche c'était un filet d'eau qui coulait donc très compliqué pour pouvoir se laver et se laver les cheveux surtout que j'avais avec moi deux adolescentes filles avec des cheveux longs. Nous devions rester 4 nuits nous ne sommes restés qu'une seule nuit et avons dû trouver un autre logement en urgence. La dame nous a proposé un arrangement et nous a remboursé une partie du séjour mais le remboursement ne représentait qu'un tiers du séjour alors que nous ne sommes restés qu'une nuit. Résultat notre voyage nous a coûté très cher

• Sabina (10/5): Wunderbare erholsame Ferien mitten in der autofreien Medina von Tunis. - Wir fühlten uns vom ersten Moment an sehr wohl im Dar Kenza. Douha ist eine so herzliche, aufmerksame und liebenswürdige Gastgeberin. Das grosszügige Frühstück mit Brot, Butter Marmelade und Streichkäse, Spiegelei mit Oliven, süssem Couscous und Sorgum, hausgemachter Zitronade und andere Tunesische Spezialitäten hat uns bestens gestärkt für tagelange Stadtspaziergänge in der verkehrsfreien Medina, oder einen Ausflug nach Karthago. Abschliessend muss ich schreiben, dass die 6 Tage nicht genug waren. Es gäbe noch so viel zu entdecken in Tunis. Wir bewohnten die Wohneinheit im obersten Stockwerk. 2 Schlafzimmer, Wohnraum, kleiner Küche, einfacher Dusche mit gasbetriebenem Boiler. Wenn wir Lust auf TV hatten, so war es nicht weit in den gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum auf der Dachterrasse. Die Dachterrasse bot eine tolle 360° Aussicht über die Medina. • Andrei (7/5): Good if you don't mind an old room - It's a small hotel in a traditional style, located in the middle of Medina. The lady who runs it is very nice and responsive - you can message her on Booking and she replies within half an hour. They serve breakfast on the rooftop with a view. The hotel requires renovation. The wifi is rather slow.

• Nāhid (7/5): It was good overall. Loved the rooftop breakfast. - The location was great, many things were within walking distance. The host and the staffs were incredibly helpful. There was always a smell inside the apartment. You'd have to walk a bit to get to a taxi stand or grab food after dark, since everything closes early in Medina.

Servizi, zero, niente sapone nei baglio, zona cucina, non parliamone. Casa fredda fornita di un cdz stanco di vivere. Ok i gatti protetti, ma dove urinano ( scale ) vanno puliti. Sala colazione, in terrazzino 4/5 rampe di scale strette, arrivi su che non hai voglia di farla. Asciugamani e lenzuola in sostituzione a pagamento. E mi fermo qui ma ci sarebbe da scriverci un film. • Rabah (5/5): Expérience avec enfants a la medina. - En plein cœur de la casbah près de djamaa zitouna moi j’ai bien aimé par contre les enfants non puis c'était un temps pluvieux. Passable dans l’ensemble. Le moment n'était pas vraiment clément.

Nos alojamos en la habitación del último piso y al utilizar la ducha, se cortaba el agua y no salía agua caliente. En una de las habitaciones había un radiador eléctrico, pero apenas calentaba. Además, en caso de querer comer en la habitación, no disponía de menaje

It’s a traditional, cozy, and authentic hotel right in the heart of the Tunis medina. The location is perfect: turning right takes you straight to the main bustling market streets – including the gold market – and the Zitouna Mosque. If you turn left, you’ll find yourself in the peaceful side of the medina, with quiet alleyways mostly used by locals. The whole area felt very safe, even after dark, and we spent many evenings wandering through the lantern-lit streets. We especially want to highlight the wonderful host, Dhouha. She is truly an amazing person – incredibly kind, warm, and helpful. She made our stay even better with her thoughtful recommendations for restaurants, shops, and places to visit, helping us experience Tunis like locals. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an authentic medina experience!

• Girts (9/5): A nice place that allows you to immerse yourself in the history and culture of the city - The guesthouse is located right in the middle of the medina, which is both a plus and a minus. The building itself is very beautiful and has a sense of Tunis' history, which makes staying there fascinating. Breakfast is served on the roof terrace and is very good. Sure, it's fun to look for your accommodation when Google Maps goes crazy, but the place itself is definitely worth staying here. The rooms are very beautifully decorated and staff was also very responsive.

• Kristie (8/5): Charming, welcoming, and warm! - My friends and I loved the host here! Dhouga is wonderful and helped us organize transfers and trips outside of Tunis. And we got to join in on a home cooked meal for dinner one night. We rented one of the apartments which was great for the 3 of us. Dhouga the hostess makes this a wonderful place to stay-and the guesthouse's location within the medina was amazing! The hot water and shower set up were sub-par and we would have appreciated soap in the bathroom. And if you have a lot of luggage (or heavy luggage), going upstairs is not very fun. But the host was great, the breakfast was good as was the dining area setting on the roof. You have to walk to get to the guesthouse from outside the medina but the taxis generally know where to drop you off and then just use your GPS to find the entrance.

J'ai été très bien accueilli par Aziz, puis le lendemain par Dhouha, lors du petit déjeuner sur la terrasse au dernier étage. Les chambres sont propres et spacieuses, avec un petit salon et un coin cuisine. J'ai très bien dormi. Le dernier jour, j'ai profité d'un bon couscous préparé par les propriétaires 😋. Je conserve l'adresse sous le coude et n'exclue pas d'y retourner Rien
• casali (7/5): - the location of course was excellent in the heart of Medina. Loved the decor and the authenticity of the place. Breakfast on the rooftop was the cherry on the cake and the staff was super nice. the owner also showed us a place to have dinner the first night that was amazing!! could use with a few more/better pillows. the beds are already quite hard. also there was a strong smell throughout our stay which i believed to be gas leak but the owner told us it was cat pee (yeah there are a lot of cats everywhere).
