• Justyna (10/5): Amazing hostel! - The hotel is in an amazing location and it is own by the local lady who lives onsite and is really helpful (but you need to speak Spanish!) breakfast is basic but the hostel is great value for money
• Nina (8/5): Perfect for a short stay - La señora owning this hostel was super nice and welcoming. The rooms are basic, the place is small and there’s only one shower, which worked fine with hot water. Ollantaytambo is not that big so yoz can reachh everything easily. In my opinion a good option for a short stay in Ollantaytambo 😊
• Shiyu (9/5): Superb - Great location, old charm house, the owners are friendly. The room has everything we need, and the bed is comfy. It is also very quite at night. The hot shower of the shared bathroom is great. I got bit by mosquitoes the second night I stayed.

• Sergej (10/5): - Einfaches Hostel, aber super freundlicher Empfang. Frühstück war ausreichend. Preis/Leistung ist top. Klasse Lage nahe Stadtzentrum. 10 Minuten Fußweg zum Bahnhof oder 5 Minuten zum Stadtzentrum oder 10 Minuten zu Ruinen. Gerne wieder.

• Jenny (10/5): Family Owned Hostel is Great - A simple hostel, with a very friendly family running the spot. Despite a language barrier we figured it out and I enjoyed my stay a ton! Would definitely recommend.

Anything we needed food, drink, taxi, bus, and advice on visiting tourist sites was explained in detail. Rosa is an amazing, caring, & lovely person. A big plus was also that we were just steps away from the Ollantaytambo ruins. Definitely will return with family and friends. Recommend to everyone that will be visiting Ollantaytambo. Thank you for your kindness and hospitality.
• Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect location, nice stay - Owner is helpful and fun to talk to if you speak Spanish. Some of the rooms have a cool, interesting feel, with stone walls. A comfortable place located right by the ruins, and steps away from main areas in town.
• PAZ (10/5): Lugar ideal para descansar - Me encantó Rumi Sonqo en Ollantaytambo, pues es una casa tipo colonial, hermosa y acogedora. La Sra. Rosa, dueña del hostal, es muy amable y mantiene muy limpias sus habitaciones. Además de que su ubicación es ideal, pues está frente a la entrada del Sitio Arqueológico de Ollantaytambo. De haber tenido más tiempo de vacaciones, me habría encantado quedarme más tiempo en Rumi Sonqo.
• ARMANDO (10/5): Buena estancia en hostal Rumi Songo - El personal del hotel muy amable. Nos atendió a todo lo que solicitamos. Nos preparo fruta para el viaje ya que el tren sale muy temprano. Nos permitió dejar las maletas para vijarar ligeros. Ubicación muy cerca de zona arqueológica y de la plaza de armas. Se desplaza muy fácil a estos lugares 5 minutos caminando. la estación de tren de ollantaytambo a 10 minutos caminando. Regresaría a este lugar.

• Laurence (10/5): dont delay, STAY HERE - Just a wonderful place to stay. Incredible location right at the ruins and a 10 minute walk to the train station. Rosa who runs the place is also wonderful. We had to get up at 4am to make our 5am train to Maccu Picchu and she was awake and waiting for us to give us some breakfast snacks to take with us. We also had a lovely breakfast the next day (at a more reasonable hour of 8am). The best value for money we’ve found in the whole of Peru.

• Verified traveler (10/5): - The room felt like it was in a cave and we both loved that. Very, very quiet and cool for comfy sleep. The room was very clean. The owner asked what time we wanted breakfast and then set the most adorable little table for two for breakfast. Really sweet and good customer service. Nice, quiet location in Ollantaytambo and would recommend for an excellent value for your money.

Estuvimos muy bien en Rumi Sonqo. El personal también es amable y siempre atento a las necesidades. Rosa me consiguió un secador de pelo de alquiler y el segundo día pagó ella el costo. Nos acompañaron a un mercado local para comprar alimentos a buen costo. ¡Buena experiencia!

• Marcela (8/5): Comfortable - My family and I only stayed there for a night but the place was really nice, the people that run the places allowed us to leave our bags in one of their rooms after checking out as we wanted to explored the city. The room was clean. The only thing is that it was a bit too far from the Main Plaza where we hang out the most but is closed to one of their main ruins. There is no breakfast included, which I missed when I booked it. Overall, nice place.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - The owner, Paola Rosa, went above and beyond to accomodate my family, which included a 77 year elderly man with limited mobility. We secured 2 rooms. The rooms are adequate for the price, and there was hot water. The owner speaks Spanish and Quecha, and her son speaks speaks those, as well as English (he guides people on the Inka Trail) This hotel is steps from the Ollaytantambo Archeological site, and a short walk to the Plaza de Armas, and not far from the train station. Baggage storage was also available after checkout. We had a fantastic experience, and we are returning for another stay in 2 days on our return journey from Machu Picchu. Note: 1 towel per person, and 1 bar of soap per person. No shampoo/other toiletries, although I suspect if you didn't have your own, Paola Rosa would find a way to get what you needed.

• Amanda (10/5): Affordable accommodation and a comfortable stay. - We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at this little gem. It was very clean and the beds might just be the most comfortable I have slept in during our stay in Peru. The bathroom as in great condition and the shower had great water pressure with hot water. A great price for a travelling family.

• Jose (10/5): Cozy and well located - When I booked this hostel and I saw the price I was concerned of what I was going to get. This place turned out to be better than my previous one in cusco. This was a very cozy and well located place. This hostel had unlimited hot water also. The staff even assisted us with storing our bags for 2 days at no charge . This place is definitely my spot to stay when I return. You get way more than what you pay for.
• Lluís (8/5): Atención insuperable. - La señora que atiende es muy amable y servicial hasta el punto que el domingo que se fue la luz (es algo que ocurre frecuentemente) y no se podían realizar pagos con tarjeta ni retirar dinero, nos prestó dinero para que pudiéramos comer ese día. Un 10 para la atención. Las camas eran cómodas y amplias. Nos dieron a elegir entre dos habitaciones y elegimos la más amplia. Tenía un problema en el baño pero nos avisaron antes de la elección, era por pérdida de agua y con un paño se arregló. En cuanto a la limpieza, parecía que no se había cambiado las sábanas, encontramos algún pelo, pero podría ser que se le cayese a quién hizo las camas....

• César (6/5): Demasiado sencillo. Cumple, pero... - El lugar es demasiado sencillo, como casi todo en el lugar. El alojamiento cumple con el propósito, si lo que se busca es un lugar en donde dormir y nada más. La atención de la dueña es excelente, algo típico entre los peruanos. Se desviven para que estés bien. El lugar, si bien es pequeño y sencillo, no destaca y con un poquito más, podría ser ampliamente superior. Solo cuidar algunos pequeños detalles.

A ten minute walk to the train and bus station. Love the big thick Rock walls of our simple room and especially appreciated Rosa and her caring nature!

• Brigitte (10/5): Vraiment bien! - L’hotel est très bien situé, près des ruines et de la station de train pour un départ hâtif vers Machu Pichu. Tellement calme la nuit... pas un bruit. Très très propre! Notre hôte Rosa était tellement serviable qu’elle s’est levée à 4:00 am pour nous et elle s’est assurée que nous partions dans la bonne direction. Wow! Tellement serviable! Nous avons adoré notre séjour!
