Beds need to be replaced as one of our beds was just springs. Good water pressure and hot water It is old and needs some updates but for value, it is a good deal. TV was not in room. Seemed to be missing. If you are in a bottom unit and there are units above, it is noisy with people thumping on the ground. Wooden structure mostly. Everyone very friendly. Would stay again. Just on no one above.

The room was tiny, with shared bathroom. No soap in bathroom. Dirty pool. Smelly common areas. Basic breakfast. Slow internet. Congo monkeys were a surprise.

The shower worked fine and the bed was comfortable. The staff were nice. Also Samara beach is not bad - but this is NOT a must visit destination

The weekly market is directly behind the hotel, a grocery store is a block away and there’s a great soda(Mister Warners) and seafood restaurant (Malibu) less than a 2 minute walk away.
- gloria (10/5): - This is a lovely inexpensive place to stay in Samara. It is only a block away from the beach and close to everything, but quiet and safe. Breakfast is included, which is convenient. Ryan was very helpful in answering all our questions and finding information for us.

- Zhechka C (10/5): - This hotel was very basic but very nice and served the purpose for the price. The rooms were big and clean. There was hot water, which we found out was not common everywhere in Costa Rica. The property was beautiful and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I needed a hair dryer and the girl at the reception gave me hers to use. That was super nice! We asked for blankets since it got chilly with the AC and they provided us with them. Anything we needed and asked for was given to us! Breakfast options were limited but delicious, so no complains there. The hotel was only a block away from the beach and we walked everywhere. Overall, we had very good experience and were glad we stayed there!
- Michael (6/5): - Chilled out spot popular with Ticos easy 5 min walk from the beach. Made up of private accommodations but definitely has more of a hostel vibe. Rooms are pretty rustic with thin walls and shades on only some of the windows. Door lacked a deadbolt. Only had a twist lock on the knob so didn’t feel terribly secure. Staff were friendly. Street parking is easy and there is an excellent restaurant right around the corner with solid breakfast and dinner options.
- Ruby Wanda (10/5): - The hotel has basic accommodations, but the staff was excellent especially Keidy and Juan. Lots of excursions to choose from which can be booked from the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and helped start the day right. Just a five minute walk from the beach and close to many restaurants. Restaurants are pricey, but there are lots of choices. A pizza will run you $20 USD. Will definitely be back.

Facility is simple but clean and confortable. The staff are so helpful and will book a variety of excursions upon request. The pool is clean. They lend you towels for the beach as needed. Many Tico come to this hotel so you really soak in the culture. Breakfast is traditional and delicious. I highly recommend and hope to return if I ever have to occasion again.

The pension is a little older and outdated, but the staff is wonderful and the amenities are good. They were so helpful and friendly! There’s a great pool, games, AC, hot water, and a great substantial breakfast included. We had everything we could need for a great time at a fabulous price! We’d love to come back.

Great breakfast (fruit, eggs, juice, coffee/tea, toast, and gallo pinto). Front desk staff are super friendly, and speak both great English and Spanish. Will definitely stay here again when we are in Samara!
