- Karin (10/5): - Staff was very friendly and nice. The bed was super comfortable. The water pressure was good. Property has beautiful views. Nice area. Decent amount of dining options, walking areas a few miles away. Some areas for improvement is the bathroom. It’s fully functional but very dated and mismatched. The stand up shower stall is a tight fit for an average size person. The rug in the room needed a good deep clean/shampoo. A ceiling fan would be lovely to circulate the airflow. Felt a little stagnant. To me minor but notable mentions. Everyone has different taste and style. Overall was a great experience.

We didnt even stay the 2nd night, and looked for another place to stay the first night, with no luck. Awful. Sinuses, allergies a mess staying there. Linens rough. Definitely not worth the price....awful.

We stayed in the South part along the road - it’s an older motor in style building but has nice updates We really appreciated the cafe on site - had a delicious freshly prepared and healthy breakfast, enjoyed coffee and views from the dock. Lovely spot to swim and paddle! It’s clear that the owners really care and want to provide a nice spot for vacationers We will be back

A very rekaxing pkace to stay. I did kayak everyday I was there, and I took advantage of the circular labyrinth to unwind and meditate.

- 880cd (8/5): A good place to stay in Bridgton - This was a very good place to stay in Bridgton. We didn't have time to use any of the amenities and the cafe on the property had been closed just before we got there, sadly. Its a very clean and bright room, but not at all fancy. I thought it was a little expensive for what we got, but, saying that, I'd stay there again. The people had been nice about the reservations we scheduled. And, it was very quiet.

Interesting system with dry erase board to let housekeepers know if you need towels, TP etc. Otherwise no housekeeping services. Restaurant was not open, so went downtown for breakfasts.

- Lisa (4/5): Not what I expected from a Resort - My experience at check in was not as planned. I was already 2 hours late from a plane ride and all I wanted was the key to my room so I could go to a family reunion that I was now running late for. With much patience, myself and another gentleman waited as the only person who could check you in was dealing with a very difficult customer's request for a reservation. It took about 20 minutes before she finally said let me take your number down and call you back.Once I finally got my key I was told I was on a different property called "North Lake resort" just 500 yards up the road. I didnt got to my room until 10pm. I was the only car in the parking lot! It was a row of square attached rooms. Small room, small bathroom and tiny shower with old fashion plumbing.I first tried to turn the TV on, That was a challenge and then tried the wifi. There was no wifi password given to me. With little service I reached out to the office and emergency phone number I did get a response and eventually got on wifi. I heard every creek, car, truck and noise threw out the night. I didn't sleep well at all. I hesiatating spending a second night but I had to up and out early.

The shower & bathroom were also not very modern & definitely need some updating. We booked the double room and quickly realized how thin the walls were to the next unit. Not sure what was going on in the next unit, but we all we could hear was incoherent babbling through the wall the entire time (day and night). It was a little unsettling as there was no car parked there, drapes were closed & no one came in or out. I did not call the desk as i thought it would stop at some point, but it never did. It was a good location for skiing @ Pleasant Mountain!

- MJH101969 (10/5): Family Fun! Stepping back in time. - Wonderful family camp hotel!!! Our family loved the fire pit and canoes. We hope to return again! This hotel is a very comfortable place. Family friendly rooms with Maine atmosphere. The hotel overlooks an expansive lawn that slopes to a stunning lake. There are fire pits, swings and a very creative playground for children. I highly recommend this charming place for families. It was built with Love and you feel that everywhere here.

- Christine_3073 (8/5): Pleasant, but not a resort - Nice motel with some amenities but not a resort in my opinion. Although my stay was in November, I could see that it would be a nice place during the summer months with access to the lake from main building for boating and swimming. A nice back lawn with seating and fire pits would be a great way to end the evening. But other than that, I did not encounter anything that I would consider calling this establishment a “resort”. My stay was pleasant, assigned a room in the smaller north annex. Room was lovely, spacious and clean. It was decorated very nicely and I did not hear the other guests. You can see the lake from the annex but I don’t believe you can get to it from that location. Lake access is from the main building area. The main building as seen from the road and when pulling into parking lot has no curb appeal. But all in all a nice off season stay at a motel.
- Christine (8/5): - In my opinion, this is a nice motel with amenities not a resort. Perhaps that designation is disappointing some of the previous guests who might have been expecting more. My off season two night stay was very good. I stayed in the north annex and the room was very comfortable. The room was very clean and decorated very nicely. Yes, the bathroom was small, but it was not an issue. I had no issues with hot water as mentioned in another review but once again, I was not there during the summer when that might be an issue. You can see the lake from these rooms but cannot get to it from that location. I did walk around the main area which has access to the lake with kayaks and row boats available. A nice back lawn with seating and fire pits would be lovely in the summer. I will say that the building with the office in it is a bit of an eyesore. It is the first thing you see when entering the property and it has no curb appeal. I did not interact with any staff as everything was done on line and key was left for me which was very convenient.

- Soulaimane (10/5): Beautiful Highland Lake Resort - Great place to stay with an amazing view of the lake and trees. The front desk agent Riley was incredibly welcoming and full of knowledge about areas to visit and restaurants in the area. I can not wait to come back again with my kids next time during fall so they can enjoy all outdoor activities.
- Jodi (10/5): Gorgeous resort area - It is a very sweet spot with beautiful views and access to the lake. They provide all of the amenities a family might want in a resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds are a little hard, and the bathrooms are small, but it was perfect for what we wanted.

The things I found bad were the bed was too hard and the shower was so small,if you dropped the soap,you need to get out to pick it up, 3x3 shower,tiles in front of shower were loose because of water getting under them,tv was in a cabinet,too low laying in bed,should have been mounted to the wall above !!!

Not enough kitchen supplies such as pans and knives. The area was fairly quiet. The staff was friendly. The smoking area just outside of our room left something to be desired.

- Heatherbud (4/5): 2023- very good, 2024- nope - My two boys and I stayed here in July 2023 for two nights. My husband and I used to live in Bridgton and it’s always been a very special place to us so I was excited to introduce my sons to the area. We stayed in a double room which was adequate. The room itself was tiny but clean. Same for the bathroom. Positively minuscule but clean. The location is great- right on the lake and they have free canoes and kayaks for guests to use. They also have fire pits scattered around the property which are great for evening s’mores. I would rate our stay a 4 with no problem. Fast forward to this year. We had a one night reservation that I had to cancel one week before our reservation. I sent an apologetic email and received a very curt reply reminding me of their cancellation penalty. Two days later I received a follow up email from Riley offering an apology for the cold email sent by the other employee. Thanks to Riley I will say that this is not a bad hotel. BUT I won’t be staying there next year or any other year. My fault really for misreading and thinking it was a $25 cancellation fee. Instead it was 50% of the reservation including 50% of the tax. Which I’m pretty sure they aren’t paying if no one stays in the room. If you choose to book here be very sure of your dates!

- squirrelnibbler (8/5): Cute, basic family motel that squeezes every opportunity out of it s lakefront. Great for lakeside fun. - Cute little family motel that makes the most of it’s lakefront site. We stayed for 3 days recently. This motel is on a large hillside on a lake. Has tons of boats, water toys, fishing rods, swings, hammock, 2 swimming docks. If you want to chill at a lake this is great option. Simple, clean. Tons of outdoor space. The bathroom was not great, older, simple, dated. It had the smallest vanity and sink I’ve used since we stayed on a train, with four people, it was not pleasant. Like an airplane sink, really. Towels were cleaned but some had stains. The bedding was clean. It was simply a motel room with a large fridge and a microwave. The Himalayan salt lamp was cute, and dimmed nicely. There are a lot of religious/ spiritual overtones in artwork, books, and sign and such at the resort. Generically advising you to be mindful and such. The mural on the fence has an inclusive vibe. I loved that they set the door lock to a code, and had us check in over the phone. Very convenient. They are making the most of the properly, but really badly need new bathroom vanities.

Place is OLD. Small and nothing like highland lake resort Water for showers luke warm. . Shower it self was a joke. Thin plastic sheeting with all pipes exposed. By time finished with a short shower your standing in in 3 inches of water The grounds are no where near as nice as Their place next door Prices are the same If you go stay at Highland lake NOT this place Everything about this place was old Especially the curtains on the windows they kept out NO sunlight at all. Got us up at the crack of dawn

- traveling_with_kathy (8/5): Nice Resort - Stayed a couple nights while attending a photography class in the area. Didn’t really have time to enjoy all the amenities of the lake side resort. There are two saunas near the gym. One is a small traditional Finnish/Swedish sauna and the other infrared. I used the infrared one. Very relaxing. There’s a shower to rinse off. My room was on the backside and very quiet. Room was roomy with two double/queen beds, mini fridge and microwave, tub and bathtub combo. There are chairs right outside the door which are nice to sit and enjoy the view of the property.
- EugeneF830 (6/5): So-so stay. - I lived in Bridgton for several years. We were back visiting friends. I've stayed here before and it's changed quite a bit. First thing my wife noticed was 2 wet and used wash cloths in the bathroom. The floors seemed to be covered in sand or grit. We had to wipe our feet off before climbing into bed. Paper thin walls let us hear our neighbors cell phone conversations. On a positive note, the location on Highland Lake was great. Close to town.

First night, I was on the cot and was fine. Second night, I traded with my son who said his back was in pain from the bed (we acknowledge that he has a memory foam mattress at home) and he slept on the cot (found it to be a little bit better). My friend (does not have a memory foam) said her bed was uncomfortable as it had a sag in the middle. (Rm. 112)

Both women I dealt with at the front desk were very pleasant, we will definitely stay here again.
