- Ravi (4/5): Disappointed that I booked this place for family - Nothing Firstly, the hotel currently has ongoing construction, and the jackhammer noise goes on throughout the day, which really impacts the overall stay experience. Secondly, this is a joint property shared between Novotel and Mercure, which wasn’t very clear during booking. The location was also disappointing. The nearest MRT is at least 1 km away, and walking in Singapore heat and humidity is extremely uncomfortable. We ended up taking taxis everywhere and honestly wished we had booked somewhere closer to the city centre instead. There are also very limited nearby food options no shopping centre, food court, or proper street food within easy walking distance. Because of this, we mostly had to eat at the hotel restaurants, which were quite expensive. Another downside was that Novotel seems to allocate many guests to Level 3 rooms rather than higher floors. Breakfast was average at best. The same menu was repeated for 3 consecutive days with limited variety, and dessert/sweet options were almost non-existent. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for a leisure holiday experience. If you’re visiting Singapore for sightseeing and convenience, I’d strongly suggest staying somewhere around Orchard Road or near the river/city centre instead.

I made cancellation for 1 room in the last minute, because one of my team members got sick. They supported me a lot and made free cancellation. Very low service, when we arrived in the afternoon, eventhough it was later than check in time, the rooms were not ready yet. The front desk guide explained that due to high peak in the holiday, they could not clean room in time. We went out and came back at around 6pm, the rooms were still not ready. Finally, after I was very frustrated, the hotel gave me rooms, but with twin beds, not double beds as I requested during booking. I even met a lady who wait until evening but still could not get her room.

We also appreciated the restaurants close by for travelling with kids. We had 2 stays over a few weeks, the first was lovely but the second, the room wasn't quite up to the same standard. The shower dripped and the bathroom smelt when the tap ran.

I have stayed in the Novotel a number of times for business but this trip was not great, room was not cleaned one day (left at 6:30am and came back at 7pm) - laundry was marked for same day delivery and it took two days, then (unlike all the previous times where they deliver and take payment at the room, I had to go to lobby and pay and then it still took four telephone calls and two hours to deliver to the room only for the person to be sanding there with the mobile card machine in their hand) - the check in took a long time (under staffed also the lobby is being renovated) - it was a mess from a management side, but the hotel is a good one.

However, lacks value for money. - The quietness of the room was excellent and quieter than I expected, considering the holiday period. We were generously given a upgrade. The amenities were abundant and better than expected. We requested our room to be cleaned once and we're disappointed as the toilet paper wasn't changed and there were additional tissues and dirty cups left behind. Generally a slightly older hotel for price.

The staff were consistently kind and helpful, especially Deepika, who was always warm and attentive. A special mention to Dharshan at the concierge. He went above and beyond to help me plan and book my travel to Malaysia and was always available to assist with taxis whenever I needed to head out for activities. Their genuine care, patience, and professionalism made my stay smooth and stress free. I felt well supported throughout and would absolutely recommend this hotel for both comfort and outstanding service.

Buffet breakfast has a great selection of Asian or western style foods and there are several restaurants on the property with different cuisines to choose from as well. The infinity pool is beautiful but if you want to swim for exercise there is also a nice big lap pool. There is direct access to the well equipped Anytime Fitness which is included as the hotel gym, and Pickle board courts for added fun and fitness. The rooms are very comfortable and well equipped. If you are lucky enough to book a room with access to the Executive Lounge you will be in for a treat. Sabrina was our host in the lounge and she created a very relaxed, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, Sabrina was happy to help with any information regarding shuttles, places to go, and genuinely showed an interest in making our stay very memorable. An excellent overall experience - highly recommend.

The lobsters were fresh, well-prepared, and generously served, making them the clear highlight of the buffet. The overall selection was well-balanced and consistently replenished. Service was excellent, special thanks to Marcus, who did a very good job and was attentive, professional, and friendly throughout the meal. Thank you all service staff! The dining area was clean and comfortable. Overall, a highly satisfying buffet experience and one I would gladly recommend. PS: photos were taken after meals, which was around 9pm.
- TreVinMills (10/5): Pre-Cruise hotel stay - We stayed at this hotel pre-cruise. The checkin process was very smooth. The room was clean and a nice size. Hotel staff was friendly and the bar service was really good as well. The location is about 15 to 20 min from main attractions but still a great area. One thing to add: if you are staying for more than 3 days, storage space will be an issue, however they have larger rooms available.

This stay was nothing less than the last stay. Our special thanks to Ms Sabrina, Ms Zoe, and Mr Gilbert for the guest service. We also loved the breakfast, the heartwarming little gifts in our room, and the very responsive operator unit. Overall we recommend Novotel @ Steven as a great hotel for staycation!

The manager confirmed this charge. We thought it was outrageous. The fridge was not a fridge it was a wine cooler and didn’t keep anything cool. There was no milk in the fridge to have with the free tea/coffee. A/A

We stayed three days this time because we liked it the last time we stayed 2 days in October. Very nice and prompt service. There is a free shuttle to Orchard Road to explore the beautiful lightup.
