- Regina (10/5): Best Li’l Home-Away-From-Home in Petaluma! - Consistency is key at Hampton Inn! They are masterful at making my stay the best it can be. Also, the vintage buildings make it hard to beat! Sometimes the floor felt moist, almost wet. I don’t like the musky smell.

- Nina (8/5): We really enjoyed staying at the historic Hampton Inn Petaluma! - Breakfast was well-stocked with lots of variety. Historic building was interesting and unique— loved that! Staff was super-friendly and helpful. Room was really pleasant and had cool decor. Takeaway breakfast bags were much appreciated! Need to more clearly identify lobby location from the street. Two dispensers in shower were completely empty upon our arrival. Bathrooms need more towel bars or hooks to hang towels on and maybe a pullout drawer for toiletry bags.

- Delane (10/5): Very pleasantly surprised by this hotel in Petaluma - This has to be the nicest Hampton Inn in the country. Feels more like a boutique hotel. The hotel is a transformation of an 1890 silk factory. I had a room with a separate living area with 10-foot-tall exposed brick walls, tall windows with abundant natural light, comfortable bed with very nice down or down-like pillows. (I won't have to travel with my own pillow when I book here again). Bright clean modern bathroom with walk-in shower. Closet has a generous number of regular and clippy coat hangers - no doubling up needed. The dining room is really nicely decorated and was a relaxing place to eat and hang out. Also, there is a courtyard in the back under a huge palm tree where you can get some fresh air. I wish there had been a microwave in the room. There is a communal one in the dining area which we used one night, but it was pretty far from our room. And more whole-grain bread and fruit choices with breakfast would be nice. But a free breakfast and all-day coffee station were much appreciated!

It was great to see how they integrated the design of the hotel with its historic past. Front desk staff were very courteous, energetic and helpful. The room was spacious, modern looking, and respectful of its heritage. Breakfast staff were very accommodating and helpful. There was a small cold draft coming from the windows. The hotel corridors were super long but it probably was dictated by the old silk mill layout.

- 22stacier (2/5): Terrible - Wish I could give 0 stars! Where do I begin? The Hotel itself is cute but this not a place to stay if you are a business traveler. The hotel gym is not accessible to use before 6 am and if you are trying to get a work out in before work you might as well get a gym membership or stay elsewhere. The breakfast is subpar. Forget it if your lactose intolerant because there is cheese in every egg dish. The juice machines were broken. The King suit is small and cramped if two of you are trying to work. The worst part and the reason I am never going to stay here or recommend this place is the way the staff treated me. I extended my stay for one extra day 24 hours before my stay and was confirmed ( and paid) to stay in the same room and on said day the office staff called my phone 7 times while I was seeing patients, and left a message that I need to get my stuff out the room. They said that my room was not confirmed and they would need to move me to a smaller room. I told them this was there mistake and I was seeing patients till 7 pm and could not come back to the room. The office staff continued to argue with me and said she need to ask the other customer if they would " downgrade" because I wouldn't move my stuff. EXCUSE ME, you mean I am responsible for their mistake? In the end I stayed in the room for the night but not before the office staff continued to keep me on the phone for 10 minutes to argue.

Love the understated look and very clean, fully up to date site. Short drive to town but nice to be just outside the Main Street hustle. Quiet and safe, well arranged to walk my dog at night and front desk staffed 24 hours. Temperature control via efficient thermostat on room wall , very effective. Wireless phone charger on night stand !!! Excellent tv and well appointed bathroom. Good breakfast ( basic hotel but seemed better quality) in lovely big room or take back to yours. Nothing ! Loved it !

Location was a 15 minute walk from downtown Petaluma which was easy enough though a little dark and not sure I would have felt comfortable returning alone later at night. Checked in on the app and used the phone key which was super easy. Staff was friendly though I interacted with them only once. Very clean hotel. Price was awesome. Walls were thin - we heard the neighbors to our side quite a bit. Dark walk home from downtown was slightly sketchy. Showerheads/water pressure could use and upgrade. All in all it was $150 for the night which is a STEAL.

I will not choose to stay there again - nice renovated building, clean small rooms, tub faucets difficult to figure out, breakfast was drab, homeless came in while at breakfast and were helping themselves to food. A piece of my luggage was stolen in the parking lot as I was loading my car. Staff was little help in looking at camera or remedying the situation in any way! Took an extra $50.00 deposit/fee in case of what I’m not sure, that I don’t get back for 10 days!
- kirstenwS8253JP (10/5): A beautifuly, carefully converted historic building - As someone who has stayed in a *lot* of Hampton Inns, my first reaction upon pulling into the parking lot was — THIS is a Hampton Inn? Long story short, this is not the typical cookie-cutter gray and white box that Hamptons are known for. This property is a beautifully converted silk factory from 1892. The rooms, while smaller than a typical Hampton, are clean, modern, and delightful. Mine has an exposed brick exterior wall and a soaring ceiling — maybe 12 feet high. Big windows allow light to pour in, but the shades block it out completely, if needed. The bath is nicely done with a walk-in shower and good pressure. Strolling the grounds is a delight. An old fireplace or furnace from the factory days is out back. You can see the old water tower structure above. I love what they've done here.

Close to downtown so we were able to walk. Breakfast was great and everything was super clean I will come back. The room was a little stuffy. But I think it was just humid in the town we were in.

- Micheal (10/5): What a cool place to stay - It is a very cool old building that has been turned into a hotel. It is close to the hwy 101 and have plenty of parking. Checking in was a breeze, we were allowed to have our dog. It is definitely where I would stay in the future if I were to pass through again.

The location was easy to be able to walk downtown I thought there should be a small microwave . The shower floor was TERRIFYING when it got wet - dangerously slippery , should be more bath mats available in the room, I did not see the mat rolled up on the back of the toilet until I had turned on the water and stepped in the shower and almost fell, almost banged elbow, almost banged my head. then turned off water to get out and look for mat, one was not enough , That tile should be removed and replaced !!

- David (9/5): Great stay!!! - -Historical: Love the history of the building and that Hampton kept so many original details. I used to drive by this hotel for yrs when it was still ruins and wondered what was like inside. It was so exciting to be able to stay in it. -Staff: Front desk and the breakfast staff were awesome. -Dining Room and Breakfast: the dining room was beautiful, spacious and so comfortable and because our whole stay rained a lot, it was amazing to be able to use the dining room to visit with family and play games with our visiting kids to celebrate the holidays early with them on our way to SoCal. The breakfast was the best I have ever had in a budget friendly hotel with real food (yummy omelets, potatoes, fresh mini waffles, fruits, cereals etc). -Bedroom: the decor is beautiful and thoughtful. We had everything we needed in the room and the bathroom was very nice and wonderful strong shower. -Dog Friendly: We travel with our dog dozens of times a yr and appreciate a hotel that accepts dogs. -Location: I was able to walk around the neighborhood and to downtown with my dog and it was so fun! We were also close to stores and great food. -Bedroom: a bit small and stuffy and felt humid with all the rain outside, maybe because it is a thick brick building. Our towels never got dry so we had to turn on the heat which made us feel like we were in a steam room. Our first room had 2 windows but it was so far from an entrance/exit door that we changed to room 133 which only had 1 window that unfortunately could never be open because it was right by the front door and had no privacy. Next time I hope to be able to stay on the 2nd floor to be able to open the windows for fresh air and still have privacy. Hall-gorgeous with all the original pillars but if you are at the end of the hall your walk is quite long (Severance long 😂) to get in and out because none of the exit doors can be used as a shortcut to the outside. You can only go in and out via the front door l, which only has parking spaces for diamond members and a side door by Lakeview Hwy entrance. That’s why we had to change rooms. -Dog Fee: I appreciate being able to have my dog but found $150 a bit excessive.

- Culture38915243729 (2/5): We love Hilton but the management at this facility are heartless! - We are a military family from out of state (I'm from Petaluma, wife is from about 2 hours away) and had booked a room for a couple days to visit my family (we were staying with hers and using her dads truck). Well the truck blew a tire and, as it is 7 days before christmas and a weekend, it was going to take a few days to get the replacement tire. We called up to let them know we weren't going to make it and ask to cancel and were told no. Asked to speak with the manager and she refused to come to the phone for my wife and that she'd call back later. Later came, so I called and was told she already went home for the day but was aware of our situation and still said no they weren't going to cancel! I literally had to call corporate Hilton (Joyce was an absolute delight, like seriously) to get cancelled and waived of fees. Unbelievable! We stay at Hilton hotels every time we travel and never miss reservations - you would think this warrants some understanding. Whoever this manager is needs to get retrained or let go.
- LoveyG2013 (10/5): The best Hampton Inn so far! - We usually stay at a Hampton Inn but this location tops them all! The rooms are smaller than what I expected but it’s a really nice hotel. The ladies at the front desk were very nice and friendly and the person who checked us in was kind enough to switch our room to the quiet side. My husband and I always appreciate the availability of coffee/tea and the breakfast is always pretty decent. We will definitely stay at this location again!

- Linda (7/5): Quick stay in Petaluma - The breakfast was the best we have ever had at a Hampton. The eggs were good as well as the sausage and the toppings provided for the waffles were great. The oatmeal and other options were so varied and we appreciated the fruit. REALLY appreciated the night light in the bathroom. Why don't all hotels provide this? Our room was VERY cold (64 degrees) when we arrived. It took a while to warm up. The tile in the bathroom was cold the entire time we were there. The room was smaller than we expected, but adequate.
- Sandra (10/5): Beautifully renovated historic building with everything inside a lovely experience! - The exterior was a surprise....not your usual hotel/motel, but a beautifully renovated mid-19th century brick silk factory! The interior took a modern design, everything spacious and clean, feeling very upscale. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was exceptional, healthy and lots of choices in a large dining room. We ate tasty omelettes. We needed to explore downtown Petaluma, a lively place with the river running through the historical district, though quite chilly on this December night, a short drive from the hotel. nothing

It was cold during our stay so needed the heat and it had a smell to it. I didnt say anything since we were only there one night and think it’s something more than a quick fix
- Marion (3/5): COLD, and too much light in the room. - The staff was friendly and helpful. The building itself was very nice and historic feeling. The bathroom was nicely remodeled but freezing cold. The room was freezing. It had such high ceilings the room would not warm up. The walls reminded me of a prison, I'm not into concrete walls, there wasn't a way to keep the light out of the room at night. We did not get much sleep we were so cold, as well as so much light in the room. The window coverings were cute but cute doesn't keep the outside lights out of the room, it was like daylight in the room all night. The tv did not face the bed. The description said it was .4 miles from the location of our event, it was a mile and a half. Just not a good experience.

- johanna0713 (10/5): Close to USCG Tracen. Quiet, spotless, super friendly, in the middle of everything. - We booked to be close the USCG Tracen for graduation. We were 20 minutes away! The place was spotless. It was a perfect experience from the minute we walked thru the door until we left. We had a King Suite. Breakfast was great all 3 mornings. The staff was amazing. Fine was so accommodating. She gave us suggestions of things to do and places to eat. Great variety of snacks and drinks available for purchase in the lobby. Coffee and tea available throughout the day. Bed was super comfy. Our son stayed 1 evening on the pull out couch. He said it was comfy. They brought extra pillows and blankets when requested. Lots to do within an hour of here! Redwoods, wine country, Bodega Bay, shopping, and San Francisco. Everyone and everything was perfect!! Highly recommend!!

- RoadWrangler (8/5): Good choice - Check in was easy enough by the very friendly front desk staff (the app failed to work for easy check-in with digital key, unfortunately). The hotel has an elevator. Over all the hotel has an industrial vibe, which leaves it a bit cold feeling--especially on a grey autumn day. The room was fairly dim, even with all the lights on. Upon entry the room was quite chilly, and the heater (only in the entry hall) took a long while to heat the room. The room itself was decent. The bed was very comfortable and had nightstands & power outlets on both sides--perfect for two people to charge devices at bedside! The room had a mini fridge, coffeemaker, iron & ironing board. The desk area was a good size--plenty of space to work--and the desk chair was moderately comfortable. The extra chair and two hassocks were nice additions. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of counter space for toiletries. The large shower (only) had excellent water pressure. The bathroom didn't steam up (yay!). The towels were a bit on the small side but they were relatively thick. The WiFi worked well. There is ample free parking surrounding the hotel. I have stayed here before & will happily stay again.

- 499caries (10/5): The coolest Hampton ever! - This is the coolest Hampton Inn we’ve ever stayed in and we only stay at Hamptons! Kudos to the team that repurposed the silk factory. The rooms and all hotel facilities are beautiful
- Kath2OZ (6/5): Won't go back. - Location: Close to downtown but most restaurants are on the other side of the river. So when the bridge is up- causes major traffic backup. Rooms: small. Very damp- all of our clothes were damp after one night! Heat/ ventilation: One of the settings was "drying"! So there is the clue! Vents are in the entry area of the room- distribution slow. Hallways- freezing Decor: updated Breakfast: For hotels offering "breakfast included".. not good quality.

- AnneGeisler (10/5): Very enjoyable stay in a historic building. - This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely town. We stayed here while visiting Sonoma for a wine tour weekend and enjoyed every minute. The hotel is clean, quiet and located close to many small cafes and shops.
- Lisa (10/5): Stay here! - Here for a "sisters weekend". Location was great. Hotel is super cute, up to date and clean. Staff very friendly. Not much that I didn't like. The only thing was two large LOUD dogs that would randomly start barking at various times. Not the hotels fault. People are inconsiderate sometimes.
- Brenda (8/5): Clean and comfortable stay - The staff were pleasant and welcoming. Room 121 was clean and comfortable but smaller than I’m used to at Hampton Inn’s, which I attribute to the repurposing of an old mill, which I very much appreciate and it’s worth sacrificing the decreased space. I especially appreciate the mini split HVAC as it’s more efficient at cooling/heating that the old PTACs. The breakfast was standard ugh hot and cold fare. Although the green and red pepper omelets were yummy and the bacon was so thin I could actually see through it. I so wish U.S. chain hotels could jump on the European band wagon when it comes to yummy and varied hot and cold breakfast offerings. I would be happy to pay for a more varied and enjoyable breakfast. It’s very obvious that they cut costs through their breakfast/
