• Simon (6/5): Dog friendly and comfortable . - Staff were excellent and most friendly especially in the restaurant . Where they served Indian cuisine and was excellent. Our door would not lock securely and the room (number 5) was not overly clean.

The towels provided smelled clean and fresh. Good shower power. Room smelled nice. Very quiet and couldn't hear anyone else around me. Free car park right outside the room window. Very convenient to have the restaurant ans the food was phenomenal especially the lamb roganjosh. Check in went smooth and all staff very friendly and helpful. Already rebooted for my next stay!! Just ine minor issue - the silicon around the shower could be replaced as the current straps are mouldy and black. Other than that l, nothing really to complain about!!

• Christina (8/5): Pleasant stay for a good price - Nice room with good facilities (kettle, tea and coffee included). If other people were moving about and coming back late/leaving early it could be very noisy. A bedside light would have been helpful rather than than just the overhead light.

• Ivan (5/5): Второй раз я бы сюда не поехал - Можно с кошкой, взяли 10 фунтов за весь период проживания. Со всем в принципе можно было бы смириться, но… дали номер, окна которого выходят на крышу гостиницы. То, что это крыша, и там торчат всякие трубы и валяется разный мусор еще можно потерпеть. Но когда на эту крышу может зайти БУКВАЛЬНО кто угодно с улицы, что и произошло со мной, когда первым утром по крыше ходили какие-то мужики, а на второе утро в окне я увидел школьников, которые пялились в открытое окно номера и спокойно находились там.

• Andrew (5/5): The location was the only good thing about our stay. - The ground floor room was very big and spacious The restaurant next door was very good The first floor room was too small for a double. The bed was very small and the bedding was inadequate. We had to move the bed away from the wall to get into bed on the left which meant the bathroom door could not close. The shower in the ground floor bathroom leaked all over the floor. The design was poor.

• Bexy (6/5): Quiet. Needs a mattress topper, a non slip shower mat and the TV arial sorting. - Room 8 was quiet and away from the road. The bed was made each day and the towels replaced. We could see the car parked outside if we got that space early. We could feel the bed springs in many places, and so it at least needs a mattress topper. The shower floor was very, very slippery and so we had to use one of the towels on it. The TV didn't work on all the channels including BBC. Parking a large car in the parking spaces of the property can be tricky.

• Lisa (6/5): Good value, noisy floorboards - Location excellent, room was comfortable and clean although the windows were very difficult to open and close as the room was warm I wanted some fresh air. Staff very polite and friendly, and the cost was good for the size of the room. The floorboards are very noisy, I was on the first floor and felt for any room under me as I was moving around and the door in room 5 didn't feel secure when locked, when leaving I was advised to leave the key in the room but then as I couldn't lock the door from the outside the room was unsecured. Car park needs attention huge potholes if you are leaving the dark could damage your car.

• Eva (8/5): Hôtel pratique près de l'aéroport - Excellent accueil, chambre et salle de bain spacieuses, à environ 20 minutes de l'aéroport. Très bonne cuisine indienne au restaurant. On entend le bruit de la rue et celui des personnes assises en terrasse au restaurant, car les fenêtres ne sont pas à double vitrage.

• Barbara (9/5): Comfy room. On-site pub with great curry, always excellent value. - Always enjoy a stopover here in the way to or from the Highlands- great pub on site with really fabulous curry. All excellent value. Very helpful staff and genuinely dog friendly. Our room this time was smaller than normal, but still very comfortable.

• Mrs Cabbage (5/5): You get what you pay for - Comfy bed. Great price. Staff were great and the food next door is always lovely. Shower door hanging of the rail so you had to be very careful as it also left a gap. Not really anywhere to put your items in the bathroom despite it's size. Struggled to get alongside bed to get in and out. Cleaners left door unlocked and open with our belongings inside.

Special mention to David who manages the feast to be warm, kind and welcoming as well as professional. (herbal tea in tray in bedroom would be nice for non caffein drinkers).

• Lee (9/5): Excellent value for money, clean and simple accommodations, bonus restaurant/pub - Excellent value for money, a really good Indian restaurant/pub as part of the hotel, clean and simple accomodations. I have stayed several times and always keep them in mind if I am in the area and need a hotel. I was in a very basic room (which is all I needed). They do have much nicer rooms if desired.
• Josh (9/5): - Excellent little hotel with a great Indian restaurant in the adjacent building. Fairly close to Falkrik, Stirling, Edinburgh etc... so well placed for those exploring the area
• Catherine (10/5): Très bon hôtel - Hôtel très bien situé non loin de l’aéroport d’Edimbourg. La rue est très calme dans un joli quartier résidentiel. Chambre et salle de bain spacieuse, tout est très propre et bien chauffé (sommes venus en mars). Accueil très sympathique par le restaurant pour le check-in. Je recommande pour un accès facile à l’aéroport.

• Elizabeth (8/5): Great location for the kelpies - The location was great for going to see the kelpies and the Falkirk wheel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms had everything we needed. There is a lovely pub nearby, the Abbotsinch, which does great pub food. The showers weren't very powerful, and there were no plug sockets by the bed. An extra pillow would have been good, but all in all these are little things and we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay again.
• Anne-Marie (8/5): - Staff were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant food was lovely also. The room we were put in had a fire door close to steps upstair corridor which opened up close to the steps. I thought it was awkward,as we had to turn a funny position to get through with cases.

• Jeremy (8/5): Good value, pleasant staff, would stay again - The property is quiet and private and good value for a basic short stay for business in the area. It is attached to/adjacent to a good pub and Indian restaurant with pleasant friendly staff. Both facilities are well used by the locals. Nothing really.
• Gints (7/5): - OK, place to stay if no parties taking place. Stayed multiple times - 5+ nights in total, 2 out of those nights there were problematic neighbours in other rooms. Score for the time when there were no other problematic neighbours would be 7 Score for the 2 nights with problematic people in other rooms would be 2 as no one took action against them and they were making noise throughout all night and sleeping was impossible. If other rooms are occupied with problematic people it is impossible to sleep at this place, and there is nobody there at night to take action against noisy guests in other rooms.

• Eoghan (5/5): Inconsistent, but emergent. - Staff were pleasant, helpful and courteous. Restaurant's food was not fresh nor made to order. Colleague's shower was not working, and clearly had been out of action for a while (most expensive room, mind, which was knowingly sold to her), and a large black mould patch adorned the wall. My own room was pleasant, but had fewer light switches than lights.

• Kerry (3/5): Not clean, service poor, large unavoidable pot holes in the car park. Would not stay here again. - The property was in a nice area and you can come and go whenever you please. The double bed was actually two single mattresses pushed together which made it uncomfortable. There were also only two lumpy/stained pillows. The carpets were quite dirty and I had to wear shoes at all times. The bathroom floors were dirty as was the shower cubicle. Mould around the base and grime and hairs in the doors. The shower itself did not work. The pressure was very weak and the temperature went from scalding to freezing. No one came to clean our room during the two nights we were there. Empty glasses and the bins piled up. There was loud drilling noise from the garden right outside our window early both mornings. I would expect maintenance to be carried out later in the day. Pub closed at 10pm which was disappointing and not clear on the room description. One major issue is the extremely large pot holes in the car park. Unavoidable and very deep.

• Heike (10/5): Delicious food and comfortable room - Everyone made me feel welcome, helped with bags, showed me Tommy room. The food was utterly delicious as I knew since I am a return guest.
• Jock (8/5): Good budget stay for a single but if you’re a couple you need to pay attention to the bed sizes. - Ideally located for the purpose of my visit. The smallest double bed in the world!
• Kelly (5/5): - Great heating, lovely and warm even in January. The heated towel rail was another plus. Great WiFi also. The shower had plumbing issues which I only found out in the morning when rushing, not great. I was offered a move after the second night which sorted this. The room I was moved to had an electrical socket for both kettle and TV which didn't work. So, no TV for the remainder of the 6 night stay. I didn't bother saying as I expected simple things like this to be checked. The bed linen was stained but had been washed and the carpets were pretty filthy.

• David (3/5): - The restaurant staff were really friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was excellent We arrived just after 7pm to be told the kitchen closed at 7.30 so he had rush to get down stairs. It would've been helpful to know that in advance. The room had stains on the walls and floor as did the throw on the bed and one of the pictures was hanging off the wall. When it came to having a shower, it literally took 5-10 mins for the hot water to come through. We tried calling someone but the place is unattended in the morning.
• Matthew (8/5): Nice place with nice staff and value for money... - Lovely bar and lovely clean hotel.. quiet when i was in but staff were nice and pleasant... I only stayed 1 night so i did not have any problems.. Car park is a bit tight but that is rhe way it is... Nothing the Oxgangs can do to change that so if you have a larger vehicle maybe better parking on street

• Barbara (9/5): Warm welcome, great value, great curry! - A great place to stay. As always, a warm welcome for us and (especially!) for our Basset Cora who loves it here! Comfy bed, decent shower, fab curry, excellent value.. A small thing - just the room lighting which is either too bright overhead lights, or the bedside light which is so dim that you can't read by it.
• Grant (4/5): If you want a working shower make sure you have a downstairs room. Rooms not fully clean, beds good - Bed was comfy We stayed in 3 different rooms for 1 night. Ever room was not cleaned properly with hair in sinks and shower, also dust and dirt in carpets and on walls. No pressure in shower in upstairs rooms 2 and 6, could not shower in these. Pressure was good in room 5 downstairs.

La chambre était fonctionnel , avec serviette , gel douche , bouilloire et autres pour faire du café le matin . La chambre était trop trop petite , a peine un lit de 2 personnes , il faut pas être gros. Le lit a été collé au mur manque d'espace je pense . Dommage sinon c'était bien pour une nuit
