• Kerstin (8/5): Kleines und hübsch gestaltetes Hotel in ruhiger Gegend am Strand. - Sehr gutes und individuell bereitetes Frühstück. Lala und das Personal waren sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wir kamen in der Nacht an und hatten eine gute Beschreibung, um Zugang zum Zimmer zu erhalten.
• Armin (8/5): - Personal freundlich hilfsbereit. Standbild sugeriert Bademöglichkeit direkt vor dem Haus. Leider sind dort die Fischerboote zuhause. Der Strandabschnitt daneben ist öffentlich und I. O. aber keinerlei Beschattung vorhanden. Das Zimmer wurde 5Tage nicht gereinigt...
• Kathrin (8/5): - Das Frühstück war sehr gut und für den Preis wirklich umfangreich. Die Lage ist etwas ab vom Schuss, aber sehr ruhig und die Aussicht aufs Meer war sehr schön. Das Hotel selber ist liebevoll eingerichtet und die Besitzer sind sehr nett.
• Josefine Bu (9/5): - Ruhige Lage, geschmackvolle Einrichtung WLan funktioniert nicht in den Zimmern und auf der Dachterrasse. Infrastruktur ist schwierig >Orientierung, keine Pläne, Busse....
• Verena (9/5): - Personal, Frühstück Der Strand ist nicht wie auf dem Bild. Generell sind die öffentlichen Strände nicht wirklich schön aber hier sind viele Fischerboote und gar keine Touristen Wenn man damit ok ist, kamn man aber auch hier ins Wasser

• Dana (10/5): Exceptional - Really enjoyed my stay at Lana Villa. The two ladies who run things day to day are so lovely and helpful, they prepared breakfast early when requested due to a trip I'd booked, let me use their iron, and offered to store my luggage for me after I checked out. The omelettes were great too! The owner Oliver is also very nice and always introduced himself to guests, and offered tips for travelling in Oman. The villa itself has some nice shared spaces such as the roof terrace and the main lounge downstairs, with books and travel guides. There's also a shared fridge for guests to keep things in which was useful. Overall a great stay and good location, about 10 minutes from the airport by taxi.
• Michele (9/5): Great place to stay - Loved the relaxed feel of this small hotel. Very helpful staff. Loved that you could help yourself to tea, coffee and water through the day. Breakfast was good. The view overlooking the beach (fishing area) was lovely. Having space outside to sit and relax outside was very nice. It was quiet. Really liked it. Muscat covers a huge area. This hotel is quite a long way from mutrah fort, national museuem etc so you you need a car to get anywhere. We used the otaxi app all the time, which worked very well. It wasn't easy to find good places to eat locally and the pavements are not all good. Despite the location I would stay here again. Otaxi app is great and much cheaper. The hotel could do with some tlc in places but overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was a very relaxing stay.

• Clare (8/5): The perfect place to end your stay in Oman - The bedroom with balcony over looking the sea was great, very good size and great location for our last 3 days on Oman. Staff were warm and welcoming and the downstairs area is big and open . Breakfast is great. Room 1 needs a good coating of paint to cover the signs of humidity that are showing on the walls. Quite some dust on the paintings and behind furniture (I have a dust mite allergy so am very sensitive to this)

Not taking care of some broken things like lamp, smoke detector and bathroom ventilator. We even had to take a cold shower. WLAN is not working yet.

• Claire (6/5): Had a lot of issues with the bathroom facilities. Would not recommend - The breakfast was decent. Also, the ladies working there were helpful when we went to them about the initial issues in the room. We stayed at Lana Villa for two nights. Overall our experience wasn’t very good. Firstly the host did not respond at all to my messages to them on the booking .com - I asked a question about check in a few months before the stay, then didn’t respond so I asked again a week before, then again a last time but still nothing. So communication was quite poor. When we arrived there, unfortunately we had several issues in our room. When using the sink in the bathroom, the pipes leaked all over the floor. The hand wash was empty and there was no hand towel. My bath towel had some yellow stains on it. Also, the curtains in the bedroom did not close all the way, there was about a 1-2 foot gap in the middle, as the curtain rail did not extend all the way across. So there wasn’t privacy in the room, as this window looked out onto a hallway where other guests were sitting. We spoke to the ladies working there about these things, and they fixed the curtain rail straight away, fixed the leaking sink and provided us with new hand wash and towels. Later on in our stay there were some issues with the water temperature in the sink and shower - when we used the shower it only ran very hot, when we turned it to the cold setting no water came out. It was so hot it actually hurt the skin a bit when showering. The sink was a bit less hot but still couldn’t get cold water. Then on the last day, the flush on the toilet stopped working. There was supposed to be WiFi throughout the property but it didn’t work in our room, we could only use it if we went down to the dining area.

• John (8/5): Good stopover in friendly place - Pleasant place: easy going, very relaxed, spacious common space, very friendly staff, nice breakfast. We met friendly like-minded travellers. A bit out of the way, but conveniently close to the airport. The beach in front of the house is not great for swimming (fishing area) but there’s a nice beach further down the road.
• Adina (10/5): Exceptional - Nice view from the terasse, the breakfast is good. The owner very helpful and nice. The location has character. No Internet on the last floor. A working ventilation in the bathroom could be good.
• Rudolf (7/5): Good - sitting outside on the terrace. information folders and books in lobby. Nice caffe (Caffee Farah) on the beach reachable by walking on the beach (4km). There is coffee/tea/water available all day. there was a bit contradiction of information between what staff (even between staff) and what was announced and what was information folders (e.g. paying cash or by card, breakfast included or not). At the end breakfast was included and we paid by card. We had some noise in our room (probably the airconditioning from a another room), which was 10sec off and 15sec on. Compared to other stays in Oman (incl. Muscat) the price was on the expensive side.

• Elsbeth (6/5): Fine for a transit night - not very clean though. - Good location, staff was fine. I liked the autonomy / freedom of it being a guest house instead of a strict hotel. I liked the lobby where you could sit and relax. Apart from the WiFi being only available in the main lobby (didn’t reach my room), the main issue I had was the cleanliness - or lack thereof. This included the bedroom, but especially the bathroom… also, (and this might be personal preference as I know some people enjoy hard beds) the bed and pillows were rock hard, I woke up with back and neck pain both mornings.
• Dina (6/5): A nice budget stay - I loved the location, how relaxed and friendly the staff were. The balcony has a wonderful view. It wasn’t that clean or modern, I had a small amount of ants in my room (and saw them in the breakfast area), the sink leaked (they fixed it immediately), the air conditioning was very old but thankfully worked. Small things would have made a big difference like having access to the plug near the bed.

• Agnesa (9/5): Really nice hotel for a short stay in Muscat - The hotel / accommodation is really nice, we felt like at home. Everything was really clean, comfortable. Breakfast is very simple but for a short stay really great / convenient. Water / Coffee / Tea was available all day. Room was comfortable, quite big with a balcony. Internet connection wasn't working in the room - we always had to go down to the main hall.

• Ulrich (10/5): Excellent alternative to a hotel stay - Very nice place and excellent alternative to a hotel. The owners take good care of you and will adjust to your needs e.g. have breakfast a bit earlier if you need to leave early. The surrounding is a relaxed safe residential area. The terrace with seaview is awsome. Free parking lots just in front of the hotel in case you have a rental. Only thing you need to know that the beach is not too much for swimming. The beach is occupied by the fisherman and it is their working area. Wireless didn't work on the roof terrace.

Safe for single traveller. - The location - just a few minutes drive (approx 15 mins or so) going to Oman Avenues Mall, Muscat Grand Mall , Muscat International Airport, some tourist spots too. There are nearby coffee shops and restaurants. Nice long street for a jog/walk in early morning or late afternoon. The view and lounging area from the terrace at the top floor is great for relaxing. The warmth welcoming of staffs, and the manager, Oliver which took time to converse with each guests added a personal touch - that no one can experience in big "corporation" hotels. No reception area to "check in" where the guests can go to when they arrive. Like I literally have to search for someone inside. But once they saw me, they were very accommodating and helpful. Choice of breakfast was limited , but enough to sustain you to start the day. :)

• Svetlana (9/5): Superb - It is a great value of money for a short trip. Clean, friendly stuff, large terrace on the top, away from noise, we really enjoyed our stay. The doors in the room were noisy, some oil could help.
• Tain (5/5): Paying the price of a hotel room to be less well housed is 1 bad choice. Price to be reviewed. - Exterior and interior decoration of the collective parts of the house. Little choice for breakfast. Room furniture in poor condition. Room 9 is to be avoided absolutely. Too small. Little aerated because only a very small window.
