La sua accoglienza ha fatto davvero la differenza! ​Cosa abbiamo amato: ​La Colazione: Ali ci permetteva di scegliere ogni mattina tra colazione maldiviana e continentale. Noi abbiamo scelto quasi sempre la seconda, ed era fantastica: accompagnata da abbondante frutta tropicale e succhi freschi preparati ogni mattina, dal sapore unico. ​Le Camere: Gli spazi sono ampi, molto confortevoli e la pulizia è sempre stata impeccabile. ​Servizi inclusi: Un grande vantaggio è stato avere le biciclette incluse nel prezzo, comodissime per esplorare l'isola in totale libertà. ​Un piccolo suggerimento: ​Se proprio dovessi trovare un dettaglio per rendere la struttura da 10 e lode, consiglierei giusto un po' di manutenzione in più nei bagni (nello specifico per i sanitari). È un piccolo accorgimento che migliorerebbe ulteriormente l'esperienza, già di per sé ottima. ​In conclusione: Tutto è stato perfetto, dall'accoglienza alla disponibilità costante di Ali. • Ольга (8/5): - Номер большой, есть все необходимое, холодильник, чайник, кондиционер, шкаф, кровать удобная, уборка и смена полотенец и постельного белья ежедневно, пляжные полотенца - ежедневно, завтрак - два варианта: Мальдивский- тунец с маринованными луком, лепёшки, фрукты( папайя, арбуз, ананас) или континентальный - яйца и сосиски + фрукты, хлеб для тостов, соки, чай кофе. Все съедобно, но каждый день одно и тоже. Нам больше зашел Мальдивский. Кофе, чай, сахар в доступе круглосуточно, бесплатно. Есть аренда велосипедов и мотиков, мы не пользовались, соседи говорили - бесплатно. Ласты, маски - бесплатно, выбрала себе ласты пользовалась все дни, забирала в номер, проблем не было. Хозяин был на связи, писала в телеграм, отвечал оперативно, тв не работал, но нам и не надо было, wi fi не стабильный, приходилось включать и выключать режим полёта ( соседи посоветовали), но ч. б. закинуть друзьям фоточки, хватало. Перед отъездом принесли ланч-бокс, мы и не просили, и не рассчитывали, приятно. Утром отвезли с багажом на причал. Резюме: рекомендую для не слишком капризных и взыскательных путешественников. Нам все понравилось. Были в этом отеле с 21.02.26 по 03.03.26 Было бы здорово разнообразить завтраки
• Alena (9/5): - Отличный гостевой дом Sunrise inn. Персонал вежливый. Уборку в номере делали каждый день. Учли все наши пожелания в плане питания. Гостевой дом находится в 7 минутах от пляжа. Рядом с гостевые домом есть хорошие кафе, а также сувенирные магазины, продуктовые магазины. Отдых прошёл отлично.

• Elena (6/5): Приемлемо в рамках данной цены - Неплохой отель за эти деньги. Есть своя мини-веранда перед каждым номером с удобным диваном и пластиковой мебелью. Номер просторный, светлый и чистый. Есть выход на задний двор, где можно посушить мокрые вещи. Недалеко от пристани и дикого бикини-пляжа (хотя этот пляж нам не понравился, каменистое дно, мелководье). Есть дополнительная кровать Чистое постельное белье и полотенца Из персонала на английском языке говорит только хозяин, поэтому коммуникация была сложной. Мы переезжали в этот отель из другого отеля на острове, но нам даже не предложили трансфер по острову. В итоге трансфер организовали в первом отеле. Также были трудности с трансфером до пристани, откуда отходят катера на Мале. Пришлось долго ожидать багги, в итоге нас забрали буквально за 5-7 минут до отправления катера. Этого времени оказалось достаточно, мы успели, но ожидание было нервозным, так как никто ничего не пояснил и не мог ответить на вопрос успеем ли мы. Кондиционер дует прямо в изголовье кровати. Вентилятор шумит, на ночь его лучше не включать. Достаточно скудный завтрак, кофе только растворимый

A big thank you for the free bikes and snorkeling equipment! I highly recommend this place. It’s very close to 'Morning Beach' and just a short ride from the main 'Sunrise Beach'.

• Diana (10/5): - Останавливались здесь в конце февраля, был высокий сезон и это оказалось единственное свободное место готовое разместить двух взрослых и двух детей. Бронировали гест за пару дней до поездки, менеджер быстро подтвердил наше бронирование и откликнулся на наш запрос о организации трансфера на Тодду из аэропорта. Номер: старательно убирались каждый день, хорошее постельное белье, пляжные поло конца каждый день свежие. Питание: у нас был завтрак, на выбор мальдивский или континентальный. Детям мы просили делать скрэмбл, вместе с ним подают пару сосисок. Для себя конечно заказывали Мальдивски завтрак с очень вкусными лепешками и Мас хуни. Так же на стол подавали тарелку с фруктами. На выбор было два вида фреша и можно было пожарить тосты. Нам вполне хватало такого завтрака. Чай и кофе можно брать круглосуточно, стоит в обеденной зоне. Территория: очень милые мини дворики перед каждым входом в номер с личным столиком. Мне понравился двор геста, красивые деревья, цветы, пение птиц по утрам и ящерицы. Велосипеды: гест предоставляет бесплатные велики, нам предложили не очень хорошие, мы постарались выпросить велики с детскими сиденьями, но на ходу оказался 1 из 3 и на том кресло было установлено не правильно, так что когда ты крутишь педали, пяткой ударяешься о детское кресло. В итоге катали детей просто сзади на великах. Советую не экономить и все же взять хорошие велики а аренду в другом месте (их там много). Маски: гест предоставляет маски ласты жилеты и тд, если хорошо покараться, можно подобрать себе хорошую снарягу для снорклинга (что бы маска не потела, помойте ее изнутри моющим средством перед тем как идти на пляж). Место расположения: в шаговой доступности кафе и магазины. Тренсфер: у менеджера геста свой агент по спид боту в старом терминале аэропорта. Мы прошли к его стойке в 10 часов утра, нас записали в список и попросили подойти через 15 минут. В итоге в 10:30 мы уже сидели на катере. Плыли около часа.

• Oksana (10/5): Рекомендую Sunrise Inn для комфортного отдыха на острове Тодду - В номере проводилась ежедневная уборка. Завтраки вкусные и сытные. Бесплатно в аренду предоставлялись велосипеды, а также маски и ласты для снорклинга. Владелец отеля очень внимательный, отзывчивый.

Велосипеды, маски, ласты выдавались бесплатно по требованию. Очень понравился хозяин отеля Али Асиф,- постоянно был на связи, подсказывал, помогал во всем и постоянно заботился о нас и о нашем комфорте на острове. Он даже пришел на причал нас проводить, когда мы отъезжали с острова. Очень понравился закатный пляж. Душевые, раздевалки на пляже, качели на каждой пальме. Здорово отдохнули на Тодду,
• Дилюза (4/5): - Нам не понравилось. Хотя мы люди абсолютно лояльные, не придирчивые, много ездим по миру и у нас нет иллюзий как оно должно быть. Но в этот раз - картинка красивая, а внутри всё не приятно. Ребята работники молодцы, убирают каждый день, отзывчивые. Любую просьбу готовы исполнить, но только после приказа менеджера Али. Мы переехали сюда из другого отеля, который был примерно в такой же ценовой категории и от которого остались в восторге, зашли на территорию гестхауса, а здесь просто пустота, нигде нет ни единой души, так просидели примерно пол часа, потом увидели работника отеля и он подсказал нам как подключиться к вайфаю. Чуть позже прибыли туристы. Им сразу же принесли приветственный напиток, а мы просто сидели, попросила у ребят нам тоже его принести - игнор… только после того как я написала Али через какое то время нам принесли манговый сок (сок, кстати, вкусный). Всё это время он писал мне, что комната готовиться, что там убираются, как будто я у него комнату требовала, я человек понятливый, и знаю все международные правила отелей и часы заселения и выселения тоже, к тому что комнату готовят у меня вообще не было никаких претензий. Али не приятный человек, даже не общался с нами на прямую только через переписки, хотя с другими туристами спокойном стоял и разговаривал, как только пыталась с ним несколько раз заговорить, он просто отвечал, что напишет мне и тут же уходил, мы вообще не поняли такого отношения. Возможно это потому что он понял, что не сможет с нас ничего поиметь, так как мы уже на всех экскурсиях побывали и трансфер обратный тоже заказали в другом месте (но это только наши предположения, допускаем то, причина может быть в другом) На счет велосипедов, во первых, они очень подуставшие, едешь и думаешь как бы на ходу не развалился, во вторых, везде писали что они предоставляются бесплатно, в итоге Али потребовал именно с нас депозит, причем сначала написал что с человека 5$, а потом с какого то перепугу это превратилось в 10$.

Vi måtte ikke grine, vi måtte ikke røre sandet, vi måtte ikke leje cyklerne. Der er skiltet overalt med regler og ting man ikke må. Man føler sig ikke velkommen. Børn er SLET ikke velkommen.

The overall experience was very positive, and I would definitely recommend this place to others looking for a peaceful and comfortable stay in the Maldives. The guest house was clean and well-maintained, with everything organized and neat. The area around the guest house is also very clean and quiet, making it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy island life. What really stood out was the friendliness of the staff – they were always helpful, welcoming, and ready to assist with anything I needed. Their hospitality made my stay feel even more enjoyable. If you're visiting Thoddoo and looking for a cozy and affordable place with great service, Sunrise In Guest House is definitely worth considering!

The bedding is of good quality but slowly needs to be replaced. If the above aspects were met - the facility would deserve a rating of 9 or more.

• Kenneth (3/5): Most bizarre "customer service" - We have been travelling a lot and have never witnessed this bizarre customer service giving their guests a genuine feeling of mistrust and not being welcome. To be fair the location and rooms were OK. The breakfast was eatable, no more no less. The mango juice was good. They have free laundry service which works fine. Free snorkling equipment, which is in bad condition. This is as expected when it is free of charge. There was one young man at the place working hard and doing his very best despite the language barrier. He even smiled, which was rare amongst the rest of the staff. Despite this we can't give the place a better rating than 3 out of 10 and we don't understand the current rating this place has. When we arrived at Sunrise Inn the owner had overbooked so we had to stay in another room across the street untill the next day. This despite having booked the room several months in advance. We did not get any prior notice about this. Neither did we get an apology for the trouble. When we contacted the owner about this he did not seem to understand the trouble. To us it was disturbing as we arrived with two children and could not unpack and settle in the first day as we had to move the day after. There is pages hanging around with what you will be charged if you don't behave as they want you to (see attached picture). The daily staff could not answer basic questions, like bike rental and excursions. Everything had to go through the owner who was not present at the place so he had to be contacted through WhatsApp and then you had to go back to the staff again afterwards. We rented bikes, which used to be free but now costs 10$ per day. They gave us "discount" so we paid 5$ per day per person. There is a few good bikes, but the majority of the bikes are in very bad condtition, almost falling apart. Brakes not working, missing pedal, lose handlebars, rusty etc. etc.

• Uffe (7/5): Nice rooms - Location is fine; the guest house is split in two areas (one on each side of the road). We were told one was for families and the other for couples. Either way, the rooms were nice and spacious with a mini fridge (very important), a balcony and a comfy bed. At arrival we were given like 12 litres of water, so we never had to buy any for the rest of the stay. There are also free bicycles, a nice touch. The breakfast was either continental or maldivian (you had to order which one), the maldivian by far the best. Regardless of what you ordered, you also got a plate of fresh fruit. Our booking (which was made more than one month prior to arrival) fell victim to an overbooking just a few days before our arrival. The manager wrote me a message, offering a later arrival or to stay the first night at another guest house. Everything worked out fine with the other guest house, but ideally that overbooking shouldn't have happened in the first place. When the time came to settle the bill, the manager was a little annoying, insisting to add a 4% service charge unless we paid in cash. I had to remind him that in the description of the guest house, it specifically said that it was free to pay by card. After some haggling he finally caved and said he had "talked to his boss, who were willing to drop the service charge". Sure, whatever. We paid by card, and the price was correct, so that was all good. But having to haggle was annoying.

We liked the Maldivian breakfast, although every day the breakfast was the same (Maldivian and continental). There were fresh fruit juices every morning and fresh fish for dinner.Good value for the money.

• Yi (4/5): Disappointing - Room is big enough and clean. 1. The hotel provides pick-up service for tourists at the pier, but does not offer drop-off service upon departure, which is inconvenient for guests with luggage. There is a leakage issue with the electric kettle in the hotel, posing a potential safety hazard of electric shock.
• Hwajin (1/5): Worst owner/hotel ever. Def NOT SAFE for solo travelers. - - I've never seen any smiling staff in my 5 days staying including the hotel owner himself. Somehow they all seemed oppressed and withdrawn from something. No one was energized but only gave me negative vibes. The hotel didn’t have a check-in system, so they checked us in without any confirmation And then, on the last night, the owner started to urge me to pay in cash after 22:30 at night. The owner constantly knocked on my door, called, and texted through WhatsApp. I was very scared for my safety as a solo female traveler. I paid in cash the next morning after spending a very scary and intimidating long night because of him. (He's not even aware that it could be very intimidating to a solo female traveler.) Even though my friend had to leave the island 3days earlier due to medical issues, the owner charged both of us 4 days of an environmental fee (their environmental fee is more expensive than other islands, better hotels) Also, the hotel room was very old, including a very big crack in the wall. I had to have the same breakfast for 4 days in a raw with only 2 eggs and sausages or tuna&coconut mix The room boys will make your bed right after they clean up the toilet bins with their bare hands, bad for hygiene Overall, It was the worst experience in terms of safety, service, facilities, and location (15m walk to the main beach) and I’ll never go back to Thoddoo Island again because of my experience at this hotel.
• Steven (8/5): We had a very nice time at the hotel and can recoment it to anyone who is looking for a local hotel. - Nice hotel and room, quiet AC, near to the sunrise beach, free bikes, near to restaurants and shops, quiet. The island is nice, the sunset beach is nice and there are many turtoises in the water. We recomment to travel with the speed boat to the island (1h from airport, instead of 8 hours with ferry). Just a minimal point: Breakfast was good, but only had during our stay of 4 days 2 options to choose.

We didn’t feel particularly welcomed by the staff, we also had to pay cash and i am still waiting for a receipt despite having asked for it twice. The website should mention that payment by cash will be required.
• Sonja (9/5): I will be back, for sure, and recommend - Breakfast was great. Staff are very kind. It is very close to sunrise bikini beach, restaurants, supermarket. And we used diving mask for free. They organized our transport from airport Male to Thoddoo and back to Male .Everything we asked they helped us.
• Alena (10/5): Our family loved it here. Sunrise beach is a short distance from this accommodation - Amazing place. We really liked the terrace with seating and a swing. Seating is also in the back of the house. Every day there was a clean-up. The owners were kind and answered all our questions. For breakfast there was a choice of continental or traditional Maldivian breakfast. Drinking water is available all day. You can also rent equipment for snorkeling. Accommodation is very quiet and I recommend it for families with children. The towels were clean and fragrant but a little dirty, probably from rust from the dryer
• Taja (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice owner, who takes time and helps you with everything :) Accommodation also provides you free bikes and snorkling equipment as well as breakfast, so you can really just enjoy and relax.
• Razvan (10/5): Perfect stay! - The place is clean and maintained. They managed our transfer and also sent a transport to the dock. The breakfast is really good. The breakfast time interval is too short 1 hour (8:30-9:30) Some rooms had soap in the bathroom, others didn't. One of the rooms had a dirty towel, but it was exchanged easily.
• Tatiana (8/5): Nice place on Thoddoo but could be better - It was really clean and spacious, the bed was super comfortable and big, AC and wifi were working well. There is a private terrace with sofa and table with chairs. The cleaning guys were really nice and cleaned our room everyday. Breakfast was simple but delicious, we could choose between Maldivian and Continental breakfast (this is a standard here in almost each guest house/hotel), which was freshly made. They also served us with local fruits and juices. We were in a unit called Fathis in front of the main building of Sunrise Inn, where also the breakfast was served. It was OK, as the rooms looked the same as in pictures. The main problem was terribly smelling water in shower and sink in both rooms we booked. The smell reminded me of rotten egg. I don’t know why that was as we even asked tourists from different hotels, and they did not have smelly water on the island. I’d rather not know what the smell was, but it was extremely unpleasant. In the room, there should be more towel racks and shelves. There are gaps between the door and walls, so you can hear noises from outside. The location of this accommodation is 2 minutes by bike from the less popular beach which we did not visit at all. The other, more popular and interesting beach is about 10 minutes away by bike. The manager Ali did not speak to us the whole time, he did not ask if we needed anything or he did not even say hi to us when he met us somewhere, sometimes it felt like he was avoiding us or that he was mad at us for something. We were expecting a bit different approach as the whatsapp communication before we came was good.
• Marcell (8/5): Fantastic way to experience the uncharted Maldives - The host arranged my speedboat transporation to and from the airport and they picked us up from the port with an electric cart in Thoddoo. Price for the entire journey was 35 USD per person, per way (2024 January). The speedboats depart on a semi-fixed schedule, they seem to go approximately every 3 hours or so, depending on demand, so for sure there will be one when your flight arrives or departs. After arriving, of course don't expect a resort island or hotel quality experience, but as an apartman Sunrise Inn is perfect. There is no reception per-se, but the host keeps in touch with the drivers so he or his family will know when you arrive more or less, and you can just text them if you need something and they will appear. I was initially shown to an empty room by a family member, but later i found the host in the neighbouring building and i was able to ask for some drinking water and some local advice. Bed was comfortable, room was clean and a nice wardrobe was available. Anyway you come here for the nature and the 'outside' not for the hotel. Kettle and plastic mugs were provided in the room. Power sockets are both EU/UK compatible, with additional adapters also provided. Breakfast was from 8:30-9:30 and was prepared by the host's family: sliced up fresh fruit and a sunny side-up egg with sausages. - made fresh as you arrive, not a buffet style. Simple but more than enough. At noon and after susnset I would go to one of the local cafes or restaurants for a meal. Approx price for a normal local meal is 100-140 MVR per person. A/C was working great, but opening the windows at night is just as good. Wifi was good enough, but i recommend buying local mobile data anyway. Shampoo, towels, beach towels and drinking water is provided by the host. Hosts are always around and available shoud you have any special request. Theoretically there may be tea and coffe included in the price (but it may be in another building or in the outdoors dining area? I'm honestly not sure where or how as I was not informed) - But in 3 minutes walking you can reach two different cafe's so you know, whatever.. I didn't receive a key to lock the room - I suppose this may be a custom here, I didn't birng any valuables so I didn't mind, but technically any of the neighboring guests or anyone off the street could have walked in and gone through my stuff. But then again, this may be normal here, for me I'm an open person I came only with a backpack and no valuables just used clothes, so I didn't mind.
• Anita (5/5): Passable - The island and the beaches The room had a broken TV, they never changed our towels and bed sheets, we need to ask for toilet paper. When we left just Ali said goodbye, the rest of the staff never talked with us and it is not a cultural problem because I have been to Maldives many times and Maldivians are amazing people. We had to ask for the bikes they promised and other people in the guest house didn't get one. On the other hand the island is beautiful.
• Silvia (8/5): Very good - The hotel is clean, both toilet and the room itself. All rooms have a garden view and the description is accurate. The staff is nice and the breakfast is amazing. Just a note is that they don't prep Maldivian breakfast on Friday as it should be their day off. They have snorkeling equipment and bicycles for free and they were extremely useful for us. You are in a Muslim country so remember there no matter where you stay you hear the prayers at 5am but they only last 15 minutes. We would hear but very low, so no problem at all. The windows could be closed 100%. There is even a safe in each room! Communication could be slightly improved. They answered to your questions and do deliver what you like or what you need but perhaps English is a bit the barrier there. They can speak English don't get me wrong but perhaps not as a mothertongue! I would recommend to anyone who ask us where to go!
• Goran (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was great, we enjoyed our stay. Room was clean, and they were cleaning it every day. They have Maldivian and Continental breakfast and both were very tasteful. Owners are great, they helped us with everything that we needed.
• Nikola (10/5): Perfect place to rest and relax. Host, Ali and his family are very pleasent and helpfull. Rooms cleaned every day, every - It is peaceful, clean and comfortable. You can use bikes to easily explore the island, snorkling equipment as well.

• Anna (8/5): Very good - Location is very good, close to sunrise beach. Also close to nice restaurant Food Land. Host can give you bicycles and everything for snorkeling. Fresh juice every morning. conditioning working well. We always needed to chase host with questions: when is the breakfast, how to take bicycles, when to pay, when is boat transfer. Didnt explain anything when we arrived . Breakfast is the same everyday: eggs or Maldivian . Towels and bedding are washed but have big stains on it.

• Maryann (7/5): quiet, no frills guesthouse - We stayed 5 nights at Sunrise Inn. The host Ali was friendly, attentive and very helpful. There was one other staff member who we had minimal interaction with. Each guest room has its own patio with a swing chair and plastic table/chairs for each room The rooms are good size but very spartan. Despite the luggage rack and wall closet, there is nowhere to hang clothing or towels. There is a back area that is private for hanging wet clothes; okay if it is not raining. The king size bed was extremely hard and for me, not comfortable. There is no chair in the room for sitting. The A/C worked fine. Internet in the room was spotty, but functional for the most part. The lighting in the room is harsh and not conducive for reading. The bathroom is decent size and shower is enclosed but fixtures are worn and in need of upgrade. The location of guesthouse is about 5-6 min from the north bikini beach and at least 20min from the more popular south bikini beach which made it very inconvenient (bikes are provided but they are not in great shape). One small towel was provided for the beach. Breakfast was adequate, but there was no variety. Two choices: European (egg, toast, hotdogs) or Maldivian (tuna/coconut and Maldiavian flatbread). also juice, fruit and coffee. see above
• Levin (9/5): lovely place. we enjoyed our 2 weeks stay. definately recommend the place - The owner is super friendly, helped very much with all the requests. Many thanks to him and his family. Rooms were cleaned every day! not that close to the beach breakfast has only 2 types of food

Before our arrival he answered all my questions in what’s app. I was traveling with my mom, who unfortunately broke her leg two days before our holiday, so Ali was so kind to take us to the beach by his electro car. and also he helped us with other questions. Speaking about the property - it’s clean , hospitable and very close to the bikini beach! The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, Wi-Fi is good, and there is always hot water in the shower Everything was fine

• Tahir (10/5): Excellent accommodation with a perfect location on the island, delicious food and spacious apartment - The very accommodating manager communicated with us from the beginning of our reservation, right up to our arrival on the island. He organized a speedboat transfer for us from Velana Airport to Thoddoo Island, where he personally picked us up and transported us to the accommodation. We are very satisfied with the apartment, which was very comfortable and clean, with a large double bed and a spacious bathroom. We had air conditioning, which is necessary for a stay on the island where it is very hot. We used breakfast and dinner as part of the accommodation. The food was adapted to us being from Europe and we enjoyed meals such as pizza, sea fish, spaghetti and pasta, pancakes, lots of fruits and vegetables, burgers. Even the drink was adapted to our wishes. Instead of natural tropical fruit juices, we could choose Coca Cola and other similar drinks. The hotel manager provided us with free use of bicycles for daily movement around the island, which made our stay even more beautiful. Manager Ali is a great professional and a great host! Nearby we had two supermarkets, 3-4 restaurants and one of the two bikini beaches where tourists can swim. The second bikini beach was about 15 minutes away by bicycle. We really and wholeheartedly recommend staying at Sunrise Inn Thoddoo because it has the perfect location on the island and it is very easy to visit every part of the island from there. Both bikini beaches on the island are very tidy, they have free sunbeds, chairs and tables for guests. They are very safe, but also intimate because you can find a space just for yourself. Each beach has many free showers and tidy toilets. You even have the option to charge your electronic devices. On the beaches you have parking for bicycles, but also small local shops selling tropical fruits, coconut drinks, coconut chocolate bars, drinking water and more. The prices are very affordable. There are a lot of mosquitoes and other insects on the whole island, so you need to be careful and use sprays for protection more often than usual. Not one night/day could we enjoy either of the two terraces in front of the apartment because of all that.
