Guest Reviews
- Adam (10/5): Terrific stay, excellent value for money - Daily breakfast was very nice, Pool is excellet
- Dilpreet (9/5): Overall it was good staying there. - Everything was very nice . It was good environment around. Also private pool was good but not much clean(pool floor) Only the pool floor
- Neha (10/5): Amazing place to stay, feels at home. - The staff where so friendly and made it extra social. We had a disabled child and they made sure his comfort was a top priority, they did everything to ensure he was comfortable. They helped us get into town and back as well. Lovely villas and nice chill out place
- Marie (8/5): Nice villa with nice staff The only down fall is no car access - The private pool
- Elyvi (5/5): Not worth the money - Other then staff service good , everything was bad. Location bad, facilities bad. cant even shower properly because very very small water flow. Can't even wash hair in villas. Imagine washing a face need to take 15mins. So just imagine u bath there , worse if washing your face
- emad (6/5): not comfortable due to the insects and animals, but there were a good hospitality - swimming pool and the toilet insects and small animals inside the room
- Gabrielle (10/5): - Absolutely wonderful villas. So stunning!! Everything provided and fantastic service. 5 min walk to great coffee too. Excellent location and the breakfast provided was above and beyond!
- Emanuela (10/5): - Tutto meraviglioso, location incantevole e staff gentile e disponibile. Assolutamente consigliato! Top!!
- Petter (9/5): -
- Ria B (9/5): Amazing stay, would recommend to friends! - The staff was very friendly and prompt, the cleanliness was exceptional and the breakfast was good too. The WiFi was faulty and the staff can keep the entrance to the villa a bit more appealing to the eyes.
- Feras (8/5): Very good - Pool war sehr good
- Teo (7/5): Good -
- Harvey (1/5): Very dirty and hard to get too. -
- Bronson (10/5): Peaceful, just an excellent stay we were there for 10 nights - Everything No issue
- Magdalena (8/5): Very good -
- Sreekanth (9/5): Beautiful place in middle of rice fields - Location is very good in middle of rice fields and give country side feeling. Need to walk to location from drop zone. Kitchen utensils, accessories should have been better. Since the property on country side sometimes you have to encounter lizards, ants and frogs.
- Erica (8/5): Fantastic friendly staff - Fantastic and friendly staff
Comfortable beds. Things are becoming a little run down in places.
- Тен (3/5): Poor - The hotel and our villa were good in general. Breakfasts were tasty, room was clean enough, communication with staff was also good (through WhatsApp). Didn't really use a pool, but it was clean and looked great. Cats and rats were eating our breakfast and stealing fruit.
But the main disadvantage is stealing money from a safe. We had money in our safe in the room. It was closed and locked with a password. The staff have keys for all safe boxes.
After couple days we found out that our money was stolen. We didn't open it and we're sure about amount.
Staff refused to admit, but it was definitely they.
Do not put your money in a safe box here!
- Dhanya (4/5): Disappointing -
- Yang (8/5): Very good -
- Anthony (9/5): Superb -
- Alison (8/5): Perfect for me, solo female in Ubud for yoga, walking, peace and quiet - The staff were wonderful and so helpful. The breakfast was very good. I absolutely lived the location, nice easy walk past rice fields to centre and yoga barn. The pool was clean, daily cleaning of villa.
Massage by Sinta was amazing! I highly recommend.
Thanks for a lovely stay 🙏
- Sharoll (9/5): Great stay, you won’t regret it. - The privacy, the concept and the great staff was the best part. My daughter got sick and they were super helpful and got us a doctor and took us to the clinic. We really appreciated it! They could add basic stuff to the kitchen, there were only a few plates and cutlery but you couldn’t even cook or prepare anything, there was nothing else. The pool could use a maintenance.
- Stephanie (10/5): My partner and I had an incredibly stay at the villa. The design was stunning in such an amazing and beautiful location - Beautiful villa in a great location within walking distance into central Ubud and minutes by motor bike. Staff were so helpful and friendly, the villa was extremely clean, beautiful design and the pool and kitchen were a huge plus. On occasion we did have ants in the kitchen area but that really can’t be helped as the villa is in nature. So this didn’t massively bother us but it did mean you couldn’t leave food out unattended. We did also find some large ants that had gotten into our room but they were easily ushered outside, we understand this can’t be helped.
- Thabo (9/5): My new home away from home - Beautiful property well kept, exceeded my expectation. May family and I had a wonderful time. Everyone was so professional and friendly felt like home. The WiFi could be much better kept on disconnecting and had to text reception to ask them to restart it at least twice a day.
- Eamonn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bakkali (7/5): Good -
- Laiza (10/5): Exceptional - Great hospitality by the staff, good breakfast and cool pool
- Paul (7/5): Charming villa that would have been terrific ‘back in the day’ - The staff were excellent
The shuttle service into central UBud was terrific
Great hot water
Internet (once connected) was fine
Breakfast was adequate A tad run down and ‘tired’ in many respects.
No hand soap in the bathroom sink area.
It’s A walk from the ‘drop zone’ to the villas - yes bike transfers were available but not always convenient - especially for older guests
The decking area boards are loose and need fixing- Definitely an OHS issue
- Zulkifli (10/5): Really nice place to stay for relax ☺️. Friendly staff 🥰 - Clean , super
- Vin (10/5): Exceptional - Very quite
Cozy environment
Breakfast was delicious and good portion Cannot access by car
- Galuh (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Lizzy (9/5): Pleasant stay in a beautiful, secluded villa with great staff. Great location too! - Our villa is located closest to the property's entrance/reception/lobby area. No complaints there, but I'd love to try a more secluded villa for our next stay. The bed is very comfortable, AC worked great to keep our room (and bathroom) nice and cool. We loved the semi-outdoor dining/kitchen/pool/lounge area where we spent most of our time while in the villa. The food is decent, but we only had the breakfast omelet so can't comment beyond that. Staff are all very welcoming, professional yet friendly & knowledgable. Would definitely be in our top 3 options for our next stay in Ubud. There's a very large window in our bathroom that faces straight to a large garden AND LOBBY! We thought this was interesting.. and made us uncomfortable. Fortunately, there's a Roman blind on said window, which we ended up drawing down the entire time we were there. Another issue for us is that our entire villa felt less private due to the non-existent 'gate' or 'doors' leading to our villa area (courtyard/main villa building/pool/semi-outdoor dining/kitchen/etc.). Maybe we're just used to individual villas having their own gate or doors & perimeter walls of any kind, no matter how small or simple they might be.
- Denitsa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Belinda (10/5): Exceptional - Away from the hustle and bustle.
- Fraser (8/5): Very good -
- Henry (7/5): Good - Kitchen & toilet was dirty
- Reji (9/5): Superb - Excellent breakfast, very accomodating hosts. We spent many afternoons lazing by the lovely private pool! Very spacious rooms.
- Gopi (2/5): Very poor - We booked this property for 2days for 2 family room on June 2024. Unfortunately we have not been able to stay there due to visa issues and had asked for a refund and still we haven’t received any response and refund from them. We booked this property for 2days for 2 family rooms on June 2024. Unfortunately we have not been able to stay there due to visa issues and had asked for a refund and still we haven’t received any response and refund from them. So we are not happy about this property.
- Bronte (10/5): Amazing staff and drivers! - Private and tucked away, but still only twenty minutes to the main part of Ubud! Really clean and spacious. All the staff were wonderful! Great breakfast and service
- Ashish (9/5): Superb -
- Sanjeev (9/5): Superb -
- Wioletta (9/5): Wonderful team, great location if you are looking private villa just outside of town - We really enjoyed our week at Ume Sri Villas. A BIG Thank You to the wonderful team who looked after us during our stay. The location was somewhat out of town, but we happily walked outside of the courtesy shuttle tines. We loved our daily walk by the ducks, cows and rice growing paddocks. Breakfast was delicious, we really enjoyed the Mi Goreng and fresh fruit and juice. The team were happy to change the shuttle car to shuttle scooter, SO much quicker and more FUN with the heavy traffic through town. The bathroom was spacious, and the twin beds were larger than our last accommodation in a hotel, which was great! Some constructive feedback. The sheets and towels could benefit from a change, some of them had what looked like a cigarette burn hole and couple of pillowcases had some blood stains on them. The towels were sometimes a bit "grey", like they needed a bleach or maybe a change to new ones. The kitchen facilities are a bit aged, tight fit and lacking some basic items (like a knife sharp enough to cut a lime) but we were not planning to be cooking anyway - we are on holidays!!
- Niamh (8/5): Very good - Great size room and comfy beds, staff were helpful and kind. Shower was a good pressure and hot. We loved the bathtub also. The pool was a decent size and we didn’t have a problem with mosquitoes or bugs despite the outdoor bathroom. Quiet area with no noises and very peaceful. Staff very kindly organized a lovely welcome sign on the bed for our honey moon. We had WiFi issues for the duration of our stay. Location was great in the fact it was quiet, however it is not fully accessible by car so there is a drop off point and you walk 3 minutes through a small rice field or if you have a bike it’s easier. Wasn’t a big deal for us but less convenient on arrival and departure but the staff very kindly bring your suitcase by bikes. It’s something to keep in mind if you have kids or a family but was okay for us as a couple.
- Nur (8/5): The staff were great, friendly and very helpful. - Ambiance and private pool Weak wi-fi
- Juliette (9/5): Superb -
- Omair (9/5): Superb - The rooms were nice, the pool was awesome, the kitchen and dining was open, all insects, frog and lizard coming in. The bathroom door should be opaque or have an optional curtain.
- Shamal (8/5): Unique place to stay - Location is absolutely fabulous if you like to be off the beaten track. Nestled in a rice paddy it's genuinely a unique place to stay. Very spacious room, shower and outdoor area. There's a kitchenette outside the villa with a fridge etc. Lovely private pool for when you need to cool down. Fantastic breakfast each morning which is freshly prepared on site. Note this is the only meal available on site. Like most of Bali, cleaning appears to be a big issue. Our towels weren't clean and some were torn. Same issue with bedsheets which weren't changed regularly during our 3 night stay. Limited amenities in the bathroom.
- Anne (8/5): Great staff, great location, will recommend - We arrived at the Drop Zone and text the staff - and within minutes 3 staff arrived by motor scooter and took us and our huge bags to the entrance, along a path amid rice fields. Amazing service. After reading a few reviews I was nervous but the place was beautiful and pool clean. Yes there are insects and we had a gecko in our bedroom but you are in the middle of a jungle. The outdoor shower was great and we swum every day. There is a free shuttle 3x daily to the shops, otherwise they can drive you for around $5 au which is not expensive. Daily breakfast is limited but the nasi goreng was delicious. The kitchen is poorly set up (but we were never home and ate out daily) and the building needs a bit of TLC, but it was great value for money and we loved it. If you are after a bleached out unit this is not for you, but if you want to stay in amongst the rice fields and have outdoor showers and pools surrounded by jungle, banana trees and coconut trees, give this a try!
- Angela (9/5): Superb -
- Praveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raja (6/5): This location is on the remote area and not suitable for family. May be for bachelors or couples. - They picked up from the location from where there is no transport via car is not possible .May be 300 meters. Not reachable by car and the cleanliness can be better.
- Max (9/5): Would recommend! - Big bed, quiet place You have to walk about 10-15 min to reach Main Street. Best to rent a scooter, then it’s easy
- Ersi (8/5): Very good - Beautiful room, nice decoration and pool! Beautiful location in the rice paddies. Price was very reasonable. Far away from centre and lack of attention at the details. Cupboards were dirty, sink plug was broken, there were dead bugs at the top of the mosquito nest.
- Christian (10/5): Just wow 🤩 - Amazing accommodation very peaceful
For that price stunning! Idk when people complain about that,….
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - We adored staying here, so peaceful so beautiful, and everyone was exceptionally friendly.☮️💜🌈
- Cameron (9/5): Staff were lovely -
- Agathe (9/5): beautiful house in rice fields - very nice house , a bit far from Ubud city center but not a problem it was in an amazing environnement of rice fields. very easy to go to the city center with scooters.
the house is wonderful with a very nice swimming pool check if you have a water can in the house, we did not, and were suppose to have it.
- Mario (9/5): Amazing stay. - The property was really clean and the stuff super helpful
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ivan (9/5): Superb -
- Ivan (8/5): Very good - Nice location with the nature and breakfast was good Bit far from the main road. There were some lizards in the room .
- Rafael (9/5): Superb - amazing villa, I loved the facilities hard to find, not accesible from car
- Shalimar (8/5): Very good -
- Naveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ianb671 (9/5): Sweet secluded little nest - Lovely private pool and breakfast. There was some miscommunication about where we could park our car, which ended up being farther away than expected, and the staff insisted we jump on their bikes to be taken to the property. We had babies in strollers with us, so how they thought that was going to work I don't know. It really wasn't that far to walk, but at least they took all our luggage there for us.
- Marrietta (8/5): Wonderful & friendly staff. - The layout is great! The pool didn’t look clean so I didn’t use it.
- Spcshiv (5/5): Few pros but many cons - Villa is big and spacious.
Pool is nice and clean The location is not good. You can't bring a can in and have to rely on hotel staff to pick you up on bike. Wouldn't recommend for family.
Kitchen is in open area and not much cleanliness observed while cooking. Found insect in the breakfast.
The breakfast menu is fixed (2-3) items only. No buffet system. It will be served in the room directly.
Huge bathtub provided in both rooms. However, one was not working, and the other one, when filled up with water, looked pale yellow due to dirty water supply.
Grab food or delivery guys can't find the location easily.
Kitchen is not fully stocked with essential cutlery even though gas connection and over is provided. Should give at least few more plates/cups/forks etc.
Biggest problem, not enough charging ports in the villa. In the rooms, I could find only 1 plug which was used by night lamp. I had to reuse the same plug.
- Cormac (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (5/5): Need investment in the property - Employees were friendly and very helpful! House full of ants, pool full of frogs. Geckos inside the room. One day there was also a frog inside our room. During the rain water was dripping inside.
We didn't even try pool, cause it felt like there is everything of small creatures around..
We understand that is nature close by, but we didn't have any comfort by staying at this place at the end.
We were waiting untill our leaving day would come..
- Zubeenkumar (10/5): A perfect Nature hideout for a couple!!! - Right from the beginning the assistance to get to the drop zone and easy check in. The entire place was ours and beautiful lush green backyard with stunning private pool. The breakfast was amazing and good options to choose from fresh juice, fruits, choice of eggs and rice options and hot beverages. The scooter rentals were also done by the receptionist and they also assisted us on the SUNRISE MT. BATUR trip which was really worth going. Would surely recommend this property its really worth going. Nothing as such to comment but only the mirror was reflecting the good work you do in toilets.. Hahaha so may be some ppl wants to have thier private moments sitting on the hot seat 😜 and not be seen from bedroom
- Siriporn (10/5): Great Value for serenity facilities in Ubud. - Beautiful interior bali design with comfortable beds There’s no in-house restaurant so you need to order foods by delivery services. The location is relatively hard to find if reaching there by car. You may need a little walk or call the staffs to pick you up by motorcycle.
- Amrta (5/5): Passable - Significant water damage to property and moss build up to exterior. Damage to wooden decking.
Overall lovely property in need of maintenance and a deep clean.
Very poorly equiped kitchen.
- Pratibha (9/5): Superb - Lovely property. Getting to the actual property is tricky but a different experience. Right in the middle of rice fields, the team at Ume Sri villas were also ready to assist with whatever I needed. The breakfast was great and the staff was very friendly.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Stacy (9/5): Gorgeous oasis - This is a very beautiful and private villa with wonderful staff.
- Valentin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Basak (7/5): Nice service. - The staff were great There is no driveway, a vehicle parked about 300 metres, very remote area. The WiFi wasn't working properly
- Amran (7/5): great building but desperatly needs attention to detail and proper maintanenance - the design of the villa and as always Balinese gardens are well looked after the pool is really in dire state! need maintenance and proper cleaning. i didn't dare going into it. the toilet too was damp
- Nimrat (1/5): Really Awful - Nothing Bathroom Smelly, No ventilation, poor pool management, unhygienic food and kitchen, staff was not friendly and welcoming, ad says private villa with private pool but no privacy at all from any angle. Overall Bad Experience. Far away from drop off point we had to take luggage all the way to the villa, No help offered.
- Marcel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eka (9/5): Superb -
- Rotem (8/5): Very good -
- Mostafa (9/5): Superb - Nice stuff Insects
- Angelika (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rahul (1/5): Bad - the location of hotel is not accessible via car/Taxi.
the water of swimming pool is not clean.
inside walls of swimming pool is not clean.
flies, mosquitoes on the swimming pool water.
day by day they start decreaseing the quantity/plate size of the breakfast.
- Zhihao (10/5): Definetly would come back to this Villas again! - Everything was prefect, the staff helped us a lot via WhatsApp communication, very new Villas, you can’t find a better Villas at this price, it’s just amazing! It’s not easy to access to the place but a fair walking distance
- . (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nafis (9/5): Superb - It was nice chill place to stay Bed need to change it was uncomfortable
- Eni (9/5): Very quite vacation with family - Staff was helpful, kind and friendly. Villa was clean and room was big enough for 1 family (3). Breakfast was also nice. Villa was surrounded rice field so it was very quite. I brought my own car. They do have parking space, but it's not close with villa. You have to park around 300m from villa. But staff came to drop zone and help us for bags so it was okay.
- Phani (10/5): Exceptional -
