• Morag (9/5): Really good property convenient for Birmingham city centre. - Close to city centre and railway station. Property was clean and tidy. Was perfect for our needs. Everything was fine but duvets could have been a little bit thicker. Some found it chilly in the night.

• Carla (6/5): Pleasant stay with, but could be cleaner - It was easy pick up. Gas station is near location. kitchen had minimum but quite acceptable number of equipment. Rooms had a good size and comfortable Fridge was clean and spacious. Host was helpful and answering on time to all questions There were issues with cleanliness, below sofa was quite dirty, seem that it was not vacuumed for some time with leftovers from prior guests. We found a cockroach in toilet, and we missed cleaning supplies like a vacuum cleaner/ broom. we wanted to clean floors during our stay and we didn't had equipment. also not linked to the apartment but with common areas, they were quite dirty, lots of garbage on the corridors. Also there weren't enough sittings for the 6 persons . We couldn't manage to put the TV working, not sure what we were doing wrong It was difficult to temper water in the shower, always very hot.

• Philip (10/5): Fantastic apartment in a great location - Great location and communication from the host. Everything was very clear for arrival/departure.
• Olivia (6/5): Anxious about rules and regulations and not getting my deposit back. - I liked the space and that the bedrooms were adequate sized. The location was good also. Some of the property needed some TLC. The ceilings could have done with a fresh paint and some of the flooring was burnt. The kitchen had some damage to one of the cupboards also. I had to put down quite a substantial deposit of £250 on top of my booking fee also to secure this property. This made me feel quite anxious as there was already significant damage to the place that I didn’t want to be held responsible for. There was lots of rules and regulations also that I was concerned about such as consuming alcohol. I didn’t like having to collect the key from a different location. The sofa bed was quite hard. In the morning there was lots of banging and running around from other tenants on the floor above (maybe children) from about 6.30am.

The flooring was rotting in two places (kitchen and bathroom), and the plumbing leaked onto the floor when one of the bathroom sinks was used. If not for the plumbing and floors, it would have been much better. Otherwise comfortable, felt safe, quiet, and was in a convenient location.

• Jane (8/5): Family space - The area is pretty grubby but close to walk to the city centre and train stations. The double bed is small for two people and dips in the middle. We liked the place because it had two bedrooms and a living room sonit worked well for a family. All checkin instructions were sent by WhatsApp which worked out fine.

• Rikki (5/5): We were catfished. - Location- couldn’t have asked for better, right next to the 02, 10 minute walk to the bullring, secure parking. Owners- very responsive via WhatsApp and gave helpful directions and information regarding key collection (a short walk away). We were all pretty disappointed when we arrived. 1. cleanliness- hairs in (and on) bedding, blood stains on bedding, generally a bit grubby and needs a deep clean. Mugs had coffee marks in them and we had to wash them before we could use them. 2. Hot water - ideal of there’s only 2 people showering, not suitable for a group of 4 or more unless you want to wait 3 hours for the boiler to heat back up, this should have been in the property description. 3. General upkeep - holes in the pull out bed (looked like burn marks), marks on the carpets. The TV had no signal, luckily we worked out the internet side of things and were able to use Netflix and Iplayer. When we arrived, the kitchen sink had white “stuff” all over it that we had to clean. Furniture was unstable, the wardrobe in the room with the double bed was very flimsy. In general, the property itself did not look like the photos advertised, the only positive was the location and secure parking.

• Teresa (3/5): Disappointing and not an enjoyable one. - The beds were comfortable. Property in need of a refurbishment. On our arrival the double bed collapsed when sat on, although this was rectified quite quickly . The cooking utensils were extremely worn and not usable and not enough glasses etc when this is an apartment for 4 people. The integral fridge door was falling apart. The rug in the living space was worn and fraying and the bath panel again worn and damaged. This property has a bar opposite which is open into the early hours of the morning and it’s extremely noisy with revellers accommodated on the pavement and at the end of the evening when the establishment is being closed. The property was certainly not good value for the money and we would definitely not go back there again.

• Nicola (2/5): Poor quality accommodation for the 4* rating and price paid. - The location Old and tired looking accommodation. Decor needs updating, en-suite shower leaks all over floor, only enough hot water for 2 people to have a shower at a time. All fittings worn, dirty curtains and not enough utensils or cooking equipment in the kitchen. I bought food to cook Friday evening and could only find one pan. Only 1 tea towel and no teaspoons or wine glasses. The curtain in one of the bedrooms covers the heater which is a fire hazard! Overall poor quality for the money and 4* rating. Plus residents on another floor playing loud music until 6am. Definitely not ideal for a nice family of 4 weekend break. It’s like basic student accommodation. Will not be staying again!

On arrival at the accommodation we were sent directions of where to go to collect the keys. Apartment requires some TLC No plugs in sinks or bath
