Guest Reviews
- Derek (10/5): - Excellent place, considering what it is. Room was very clean. Would recommend if you need a low budget, but clean place to stay.
- Duane (8/5): 👍 - It was a place to sleep. AC worked well. Bed was actually comfortable. At least I could say there is no bedbugs.
- linda (10/5): - We were very comfortable here. Older motor court, a little worn, but clean . We would stay again.
- Wanda (10/5): - We wanted a low cost clean hotel and got it.
- Antonio (6/5): - N/A
- Merlinda (10/5): - It was a comfortable stay. I want expecting a kitchen so it was nice to have a full kitchen. Very cute.
- Anthony (4/5): - Room was filthy, i didnt even shower due to the condition of the bathroom.
- Jayson (2/5): - Yikes. This is absolutely the most disgusting property I've been to. Tinfoil on the windows is only the beginning. I get there and they decide to charge double the room rate for a non refundable deposit. Electrical hazards all over the room (power strips glued to the wall). The largest layer of dirt on top of everything. And to top it all off, walked into two cockroaches dead on the bathroom floor. And as the night progressed, THREE MORE live cockroaches. Do yourself a favor and sleep in your car or a strangers couch for a better experience
- Kim (8/5): - Parking right in front of all rooms.
Old style small motel, adequate.
Efficiency kitchen with sink, range, frig with freezer, table and seats. TV
There is a cafe just a 2 minute walk away. 24 hr office person that was patient with my several questions. I would stay there again when I go back to the area.
- steven (10/5): - Old 50’ss parking spot 5 ft from just like when I was akid
- Robert (8/5): - Looked a bit doubtful as we pulled in, but it worked out quite well…
- Marcus (8/5): - It was clean but old
- Dolores (10/5): - Nice people. Clean. Convenient.
- David (10/5): - Management is responsive and attentive. My stay was comfortable and easy. Pretty much everything you could expect for the price. I highly recommend Buckeye Motor Hotel and would stay here again.
- Steven (10/5): - Getting a water bottle handed to me with my room key was a great surprise! The site is old, but in good shape for the age. My room was a bit on the small size, but the A/C worked great! Plus, there are a few good places within a few minutes walk.
- Manuel (2/5): - Stinky room and noise air conditioning
- Linda (10/5): - The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, the little kitchenette was excellent. The air-conditioning unit was spot on, which is critical here.
It’s an excellent value for the dollar and we would stay here again if we were in Buckeye.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No deadbolt, or breakfast, or fridge. And no toilet paper in room. Too much money for the quality.
- James (2/5): - This property is straight out of the 60's with no maintenance or renovation since forever. Worn Carpeting, broken Tile counters in kitchenette, stove covered with aluminum foil, bathroom toilet seat painted wood with chips in the paint. To top it all off, a 2" cockroach was found dead on the bathroom floor.
For the $160 and $180 price per room night for the 2 rooms we had, Skip this place and stay in a neighboring branded Hotel for a few dollars more.
- Paul (10/5): Basic old-fashioned motel, no frills but good - Basic old-school motor hotel in the classic tradition. Not fancy, rough around the edges but clean and quiet, freshly retiled bath, fairly comfortable bed. Great value for the money compared to anything else I’ve seen. But if you’re fussy or high maintenance, go somewhere else.
- Leora (2/5): - The door didn't lock properly so we had to move a chair to secure the door. Place was very dirty.
- SCOTT (6/5): - inexpensive
- stacy (2/5): - This was the worst experience in my 54 years of travel. I've had better stays in Tijuana, Mexico! Never again will we stay in this dirty place.
- Margaret (10/5): - This was a gem of a older hotel. Very clean, wonderful sheets, cute decorations. Had a laugh because when we opened a door we thought was a closet we found it was a kitchen with a full stove, ref, microwave and table, so cute. Have already booked for another stay
- ROBERT (6/5): Old motel with few amenities - Old motel that had been somewhat remodeled. Lack of amenities. Had to request a hair dryer. No shampoo or conditioner. Tiny bars of soap. Lack of Klenex.Nice towels.
Soft mattress. Not worth the $168 price...
- Mahala (10/5): - Quant little place. Wasn’t sure how nice it was. Room was clean. Love that the hot water was amazing.
Do have to recommend the Sheep Camp restaurant which is in walking distance, but prepare for a wait to get in.
- Margaret (8/5): Welcome to Buckeye - From the outside, this hotel in very rustic, but inside the room was very comfortable with a kitchen and table.
However, if you want to sleep pass 6am , be worned, it's nosie. It seems many workers stay there and leave then.
- Dr. David B (10/5): Comfortable and roomy - Out of the Phx madness. Older place that was very clean and comfortable. If you are a Barbie girl living in a plastic house, keep going into the big city. This place was perfect for us country folks.
- Cherry (6/5): - I wasn’t expecting the Ritz and I was not disappointed. It is a rather low level old little motel. It does have a full kitchen, which is nice. The floors were not well cleaned. The carpet needed to be vacuumed and an area of the bathroom floor was dusty and dirty. The parking lot was flooded from rain.
- Igor (10/5): - Everything was clean and convenient, and the staff tried to create as maximum comfort as possible from exiting the property. Good job!
- justin (10/5): - Staff was super friendly. Rooms were clean and well kept. Overall a nice little property.
- eddy (8/5): Retro, Utilitarian and Practical - If you are looking for updated and luxury, this place is not for u. If you are looking for retro or just a place to sleep, this is a fit. Beds are comfortable. It is as advertised. No ice machine and no hair dryer. Priced appropriately.
- Paul (4/5): - It was nice and easy to check in and check out, but everything else is not that great. Walls cracking, porcelain cracking, the hotel room door was hard to open and close and etc.
- Anthony (10/5): - I was pleasantly surprised by the Buckeye Motor Hotel Location was main reason for booking Hotel has some age, but staff, cleanliness and comfortability was a step above
- Michael (2/5): - He demanded a cash deposit of $100! Rediculus! I cancelled and went elsewhere. Nothing was mentioned about a deposit on the website. If you want to stay, bring cash!
- lauri (8/5): - It was clean nice quaint cheap and close to everything. it was everything we needed.
- Matthew (10/5): - Excellent customer service -- accommodated my late arrival with ease... Many Thanks!
- Darren (10/5): - Nice n quiet, stores near by, work down the stress, The best, it hast own little kitchen, great for weekly stays
- Joseph (4/5): - I don't understand why i booking online and paid online paid my credit card. When I check in they still asking me give them my credit card?
- David (10/5): - Great kitchen, good TV,nice bed. Comfortable, good price.
- Janet (4/5): - Skip this location. There are other places in the area to stay.
- Andrea (6/5): Thanks Mike. - Mike at the front desk was a really nice guy. He was helpful and gave me good info on the local eateries. Thanks Mike!!!
- Candyce (6/5): Outdated but convenient - After reading reviews from another site we were a little worried. Thankfully the hotel was not as bad as the reviews we read. Rooms were a little small but overall clean. After spending all day with our daughters steer we were thankful for somewhere to shower and sleep at. The hotel could use a facelift from the outside and some upgrades on the inside but that is not a deal breaker. If we are in the area, we would stay here again.
- Ed (2/5): Go somewhere else - Sorry no one at desk to help people hanging out in parking lot was not safe
- Anthony (10/5): - location easy check in/out. great staff. clean,
- Matthew (6/5): Outside, bad. Inside, okay. - The place looks horrible from the outside - reminded me of the Bates Motel! Inside was better. Surpringly so.
- Sadegh (4/5): - Smells inside room Was disgusting
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Staff was not friendly at all
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff that help us to have pleasant stay during travel.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked everything but one important service. No weekly, or monthly stays. Having, like a full kitchen in the rooms was a big plus for us.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I was charged a higher price at the property than I was quoted when I made the reservation
- Verified traveler (2/5): - This place is DISGUSTING!! Staff are rude we checked in and had dirty used bath towels and wash cloths still in the shower there was also mold and stains everywhere they don’t supply any type of soap please don’t waste your time or money staying here we will never be back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - centrally located for what I was doing. easy to get to.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Decent bed, but not a nice place to stay. Old and run down but they do a good job of cleaning.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Had a late night arrival. With 2 small children. Never was able to check in. Nobody would answer the door or phone to Office. Couldnt check in !
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Probably state of the art in 1950. Just old and tired. Noisy AC. Very basic.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The building is old but everything was clean and working. It was only $80 per night.
- David (4/5): Not the best - It was a place to stay with a roof over our heads
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Excellent place I have made my reservation ahead of Time . Place was very clean and affordable prices I love it ! the room had like little kitchen to eat .
- Darius (6/5): - It was way too far from my work environment. Therefore I cancelled and was very elated that the motel was free to accommodate my cancelation.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - While the property is not new, it was clean and well maintained. We’d stay again in a heartbeat.
- Daniel (8/5): It’s ok - Older place. Great for my needs
- Douglas (2/5): If it’s the only availability, sleep in your car! - Most frightening place I’ve ever stayed in and I’m 70 years old and very well travelled. Filthy dirty, mouse droppings on stove top. Open electrical box in bathroom with twisted wires exposed. Mildew around bathtub, holes in the curtains and they charged $120.00.
- Cynthia (8/5): Great stay in Buckeye, AZ - I liked the covered parking right in front of the room and the full kitchen. It was very nice to be able to prepare our own meals. Bathroom was very nice and beds were comfortable.
- Cecilia (6/5): happy at first then unhappy - What you pay is what you get. The first room we were in was good the smell and cleanliness. But something happened with the plumbing that we had to move out to another room. Now that’s a different story, this room had a bad odor and the blankets on top of each bed looked old and worn out. I was not happy with that room.
- Shastina (8/5): - Front desk service very helpful and kind
- Nicole (10/5): Pleasantly Surprised - Check in is quick and easy. The staff are very friendly. The rooms are awesome. Very clean! I love that you can park right in front of your door. No stairs. No elevators.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Old. Run down motel but clean. No need bugs or critters.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I only stayed one night, so it was really just a place to sleep and leave in the morning. But it was clean and comfortable. I liked the old "moter hotel" ambience. And it has a complete kitchen with oven, stove, and full-size refrigerator. If I had been staying longer, this would have been very useful!
- Eliezer (8/5): - It was good to get a night sleep while taking a roadtrip. No extra perks but good for just taking a break from driving. The room had a 70's feel but the bathroom looked very new. Oh it did have a fridge, microwave and a flat screen tv.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pubic hair on the bed sheets. I was grossed out!
I am not certain if the sheets were laundered or not, but it did not appear so.
- Michael (8/5): Nice Place! - It's not the Hilton but the stay was enjoyable. The staff was friendly. It was nice to have a full kitchen in the room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Did not like the place. The smell was horrible in a non smoking room. A homeless man was peaking in car in the middle of the night. I called and no one answered.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Very dirty and ran down. Could literally see directly into next rooms bathroom through hole in bathroom wall. Carnival lights through window all night the beds are worn out and can feel the springs had to wipe crumbs off bed and carpet hadn’t been vacuumed the list goes on and on
- Verified traveler (8/5): - COMFORTABLE, GOOD BED, KITCHEN WITH FULL SIZE FRIDGE ! QUIET.
- Barbara (6/5): - Too bad the motel isn't renovated. It could have some character if it was. If the place had been cleaner and the walls a little thicker I would have given a better review. But the bed was so comfy we actually stayed another nite.
- Drew (6/5): Quasi-quaint, but stinky it ain’t! - It’s cheap plain and simple and there’s hardly anything else around. It’s funky, in a quasi quaint way, but that’s because it hasn’t been remodeled since the 50’s. On the other hand I spend the next two night in the Days Inn nearby which was more expensive and had to sleep in a “smoking room” so in retrospect I preferred the old school charm. Plus the BMI has giant flat screen TVs
- Jodie (8/5): Very nice place - Nice place. Very clean.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I wouldn't recommend staying at this Hotel. It's old and not really clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - very convenient to several parks and national Monuments.
a little rough around the edges. I would not recommend it to the faint of heart. It worked for me, and you can't beat the price and location.
- Verified traveler (10/5): I would book here again - Motel does not look good on the outside BUT it’s a sio on the inside. Has a kitchenette, hotel Manager is great and has loads of information on the area. Environment is very quiet although it is located off a main highway. I enjoyed the entire experience.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Stayed there multiple times and was never asked for a deposit. This time they wanted a 40$ credit card deposit
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Pay to times i dont got any of money back Pay to times i dont got any of money backPay to times i dont got any of money backPay to times i dont got any of money back
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I have stayed here multiple times previously however, this will be my last visit. First I was under the impression I would be receiving a 50% discount through Expedia, but that did not occur. This is also the last time I use Expedia to book a room.
- Nina (8/5): - The place was ok. Overpriced room that lacked luster and smelled a bit of bug spray.
