Guest Reviews
- Kathy (9/5): Would recommend - Very comfortable
- Graeme (8/5): Great location and nice property with everything close to hand. Would consider staying again. - Good location with local facilities nearby. Private parking a bonus Not clean on arrival which meant we had to make alternate arrangements to shower and change on the first night. Not good after a six hour car journey and for the price paid but host apologised and got things sorted. The only downside to our stay but disappointing all the same.
- Noble (10/5): Always feels comfortable, a real home from home - Stayed many times, its light bright and airy. Excellent facilities and fab location. Nothing to dislike
- Brigitte (8/5): -
- John (8/5): Great location, comfortable, spacious appartment in good order thoughout. - Excellent location and good communication from the host. Nothing comes to mind.
- Stefan (9/5): - Very clean, spacious, friendly and responsive owner.
- Margaret (8/5): Brilliant - It was clean and comfortable, there was a Dyson fan to cool us down as it was very hot when we stayed. Washing machine had a short cycle so able to do washing while staying. Everything there to make life comfortable.
Host sent all of the details we could possibly need. The mugs for our coffee were horrible glass things.
- Kathleen (10/5): -
- Anna (8/5): We enjoyed our stay - Very good communication with the owner who provided clear instructions prior to arrival and also, conveniently, left all instruction/user manuals in the apartment if further clarification was required. The location suited us very well (we didn't want to stay in the centre of Oxford) and we enjoyed the convenience of being on a bus route. There was a great choice of shops/delis/cafes/lovely pub in Summertown (an 8 minute walk away). The apartment itself was spacious, well-equipped and very clean and tidy. We had a comfortable stay. The lounge windows did little to deaden the noise from the busy main road. The shower had weak pressure and needed to be used as per owner's exact instructions.
- maria (10/5): Responsive host, very easy experience , as advertised, clean and had everything we needed. - Location was perfect for us. Host was incredibly responsive. Everything was super organised and it was clean. Everything worked!
- Helen (10/5): Excellent apartment - The location was excellent and meant we could use public transport to get into Oxford and not have to worry about parking the car. Nothing.
- Paul (9/5): - The location was very convenient for us. Short walk to grocery stores and right on a bus route. The apartment is well- equipped for guests wanting to do some or all of their own catering. The apartment is very warm but being upstairs you can open windows if you want to. Because it is on a major road it can be a bit noisy.
- Ha (10/5): Will definitely come back! - Extremely friendly and helpful host, great location, comfortable beds and clean kitchen and spacious bathroom - we loved staying here!
- Don (9/5): Spacious, car space and great location! - Smart tv, gated so secure, car park space, location and public transport, near the canal, Summertown shops, comfortable mattress, good storage in bedroom, spacious bathroom, walk in shower, good lighting, Blue tooth speakers and view. Highly recommended. Window in lounge rotren, broken so drafty and noisy, pethaps drapes would help. Bare walls.
Road noise. The spare radiator and our car blanket saved the day. Would still recommend it.
- s (9/5): Would recommend to friends and stay here again. - Perfect for a couple of days to explore Oxford. All shops needed within 5 minute walk, and bus stop right into Oxford downtown was 100m from our door. Really convenient.
- pluecks (8/5): - Good sized self contained apartment. Private and secure. Clean and comfortable.. Close to amenities and a short distance to the town center. At times hard to get a response from the owner. Traffic noise. The bathroom fan was noisy and wouldnt urn off
- Carolyn (10/5): A great apartment, spacious with all the facilities -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptionally clean and very spacious. - The apartment was exceptionally clean and so spacious. The kitchen appliances were good quality and gleaming. The host had left clear instructions and user manuals for all the appliances.
Nice linen on the bed, which was also comfortable.
Really generous amounts of very nice toiletries. Shower tiles were spotlessly clean.
The bus stop to take you into town was just a 2min walk. Good space for parking. Nothing to dislike, everything was great. Thanks.
- Jo (7/5): -
- Meriel (10/5): - Excellent! Very clean and spacious. Well appointed and wonderful location with easy regular busses into the city center!
- Catherine (8/5): Lovely comfortable flat in Summertown - Lovely airy, welcoming flat with all facilities needed. Great to have a parking spot. Tea & fresh coffee (and coffee maker) provided. Bed and sofas comfortable. Shower pressure was not very strong, although the water was nice and hot.
- Elaine Ying (9/5): Great location and value. - The host is helpful and reply messages very quickly. Great location and value. The property is very clean. The wash machine and dryer is a little confusing. The shower needs to be operated according host’s guide.
- Leslie (8/5): -
- Maarten (9/5): I had a very comfortable stay at 3 Summertown Court, easy access to local facilities. -
- Rosa (9/5): - Clean and neat apartment on the 1st floor.
Beds are comfortable with all facilities. It is quite a distance from centre of town.
However bus stop is just up the road.
Best to purchase an all day ride fare.
- Geraldine (10/5): Very enjoyable stay would definitely stay again and recommend to others - Location, cleanliness and parking. Part of the Front room window frame was broken and dangling down in front of the window.
- Leonard (10/5): -
- Eric (8/5): Excellent and would definitely recommend to others - Very nice flat, well equipped, comfortable and great location. Parking for car was a bonus. Kitchen well fitted out but lacks surface space and oven difficult to work out.
- Nik (9/5): Superb - Manuals for appliances, good instructions and suggestions, well equipped. One night was hot.
The bed felt droopy at the edges.
- Jane (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): It was a pleasant stay. - It was big and roomy and located in a great area. It was all good
- David (8/5): Very good - The location was good, a bus stop into the city was conveniently outside the door. The flat was very spacious and had everything required for a comfortable stay. Should be noted there are quite steep stairs to access the flat.
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Edward (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (9/5): Spacious & comfortable apartment in a convenient location - easy access into city centre by bus - Great location, convenient for buses into city centre and for local supermarkets/shops/coffee shops & a couple of restaurants. Dedicated parking space. Comfortable, spacious & well-equipped apartment (on first floor of a maisonette) - very clean and with neutral decor.
- Roy (9/5): Superb -
- Selim (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rachel (9/5): Excellent apartment, would highly recommend! -
- Christopher (10/5): Very satisfactory - Location superb.
- Julie (10/5): Great comfortable stay in Oxford for three days - The location of the property was ideal with easy access to the city centre and local shops and restaurants. The property has secured on site parking with allocated position outside the front entrance.
The property was modern clean and warm with all the conveniences require for a comfortable stay. The property great so no complaints.
- Tania (9/5): A fantastic base for our stay in Oxford. Would highly recommend! - It was spacious and comfortable, with all the things you need for a stay. The host, Chris, was extremely helpful and prompt when helping us with an issue with the washing machine. Easy access to the centre of Oxford, by a bus you catch in the same road, not far from the property. There are a significant number of stairs to access the property.
- Andrew (9/5): A delightful stay in a well equipped apartment in a very good location. - The location was great. Rather than deal with the traffic in Oxford, especially when a fair was on and several streets were closed, we used buses. It was very cheap and very easy. From our location we visited Blenheim Palace, about a half hour's drive, and we also took a drive around the countryside visiting some of the towns and villages. Oxfordshire is beautiful but the small towns are too clogged up with traffic. Such a pity. Shops are a short ten-minute walk from the apartment and the M&S Food supermarket was excellent for people like us on a short stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at 3 Summertown Court. The shower. It would take more than a few days staying in the apartment to tame that beast!
- Wendy (9/5): Superb -
- Margaret (7/5): Good - Good location. I was born in Oxford so know the area well. Only half a toilet roll was left, with no spares.
Found stairs challenging with a large suitcase so would specify ground floor in future.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (9/5): Comfortable and convenient stay in Summertown Oxford. - It was recently refurbished. The kitchen and bathroom were lovely with contemporary fittings. We had everything we needed for a short stay but it was equally nice for a longer stay. The location was easy to find with excellent directions and entry details. The only thing that let this accommodation down was the shower. Even though it was newly installed, a clarifying note was required in the apartment notes, as other people had also had difficulty with this over engineered unit. Despite following the advisory note to the letter, the shower immediately went to into a cooling cycle, which made the temperature fluctuate between hot and cold. We eventually managed to find a workaround, but whatever we did the shower only managed weak pressure. What a pity in such a nice apartment, it shouldn’t be a deal breaker, but something the owner could rethink.
- John (8/5): In Oxford for a wedding. Absoulutely fit for purpose. - Very comfortable. High quality appliances, shower, bed towels, kitchen equipment. Good parking. Close to good bus route into town. Everything worked. Clear communications from owner. Had a little difficulty finding the entrance off a busy road. Number of property, picture of entrance might have made it easier - but a small point only.
- Philippa (8/5): After a small hiccup when we arrived. It was all sorted by Chris. Lovely apartment in Summertown. Easy bus ride to the c - Comfortable, clean ,
Nice to be able to chat to the owner;
Easy parking Everything was fine
- Keith (10/5): A flat in Oxford - A lovely well equipped, comfortable flat with secure parking A bit hard to find
- Lynette (9/5): First class apartment - The apartment was spacious, well equipped and the car parking easy. Chris contacted me in advance, left info about local eateries, etc and was very responsive to a minor issue. A bit noisy in the front room but it didn’t bother us.
- Laycock (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victoria (10/5): Wonderful - Lovely apartment, exactly as described, and kept very clean, with plenty of amenities in the kitchen.
- jeannie (10/5): - Great location, close to the park and ride
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Thouroughly enjoyed our stay in an excellent apartment that we will be happy to stay in again. - Very high quality throughout.
Very good location, close to local shops, restaurants etc.
Close to transport links (Buses) to city. Close to city centre and all attractions.
Very quiet. The only slight grumble is that the excellent shower had no shower mat on a surface that was slippy. A safety rail attached to the wall would make it safer.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- richard (10/5): Great find - Comfortable bed, spacious, washer dryer, close to bus stop, nice view, well equipped and the owner was prompt and helpful communicator. One of our better accommodations…highly recommend…
- Brecht (9/5): Superb - Well equiped appartement
- Deborah (9/5): The flat was conveniently located and comfortable - The location was great near restaurants and buses. The car space infrastructure of flat was vwey convenient, the bathroom was roomy, the kitchen was good and the lounge comfortable. The bed was also comfortable The steps were a little steep though manageable
- Logan (10/5): Great spot. - Just great! Great to have a little more room than a typical hotel booking. Great location with easy bus access to city center. Responsive and helpful host. Would absolutely stay here again.
- Owena (10/5): This apartment was perfect. - Lovely apartment in a great location.
- Kathleen (10/5): Exceptional - This was my second time staying here and I will try to stay again. The flat is in a great location with the Summertown shops right around the corner and close to main bus stops. Also Chris was super responsive to any messages I sent, so I never felt on my own when I had a question! The kitchen is pretty well-stocked. Jo and the cleaning crew were friendly and professional.
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Nice flat in a good location. - Pleasant and convenient location. Kitchen wasn’t easiest to use (complicated oven controls, could do with a washing-up bowl and decent dish rack).
- Michael (8/5): Very comfortable stay in Oxford - This lovely, comfortable apartment looks exactly as shown on the website. The apartment is located a short drive (not recommended) or a long walk (~30 mins) from town. Hey, we're from NYC so that's not a problem. There is a designated off-street parking spot for your vehicle. A convenient bus stop is a 2 minutes walk from the apartment for trips into town. Although the apartment faces a major thoroughfare, the bed room is in the back of the apartment assuring a good night's rest. The living room is quite comfortable. The bathroom is good size with a great shower. The kitchen is well equipped for preparation of breakfast, although there are a number of good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Last but not least, the owner was readily reachable by text to answer any and all questions. There was nothing more we needed to make the stay brilliant as they would in England. :)
- Linda (9/5): Extremely comfortable, spacious property - Good location as very close to a bus stop directly to the city centre, but safe parking for our car. The owner was very accommodating. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the living room spacious. Although the shower was hot, the water from the taps didn’t stay hot and there was no drying rack for pots. With no dishwasher in the property, this wasn’t great for washing up.
- Paul (8/5): Very good - The location was great for our purposes. The dedicated parking space was greatly appreciated. It made a great base for our time in Oxford. It was difficult having a visitor to share a snack or meal. A third chair for the dining table would be useful. A dishwasher would also be welcome but there isn't room for one.
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Dru (8/5): Comfortable, straightforward but noisy - The location was close to a bus stop and close to Summertown A bit closer to town and the lounge was very noisy with traffic on the Woodstock Road
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brian (9/5): Superb - Very good well-appointed apartment on first floor of building (13 stairs) at 264 Woodstock Rd. The road can be quite busy and noisy but as the bedroom is located at the rear of the building it is not a nuisance. There was no problem with the code-access to either the onsite parking or the apartment. Easy walking to an active shopping locale (3 supermarkets) eating places etc. The "Park & Ride" bus stop is very close outside. Just a couple of minor maintenance issues (eg slow drainage of shower water) but I fully expect the owner to have attended to these given the overall quality of his fit out. (The electronic shower will not become part of our home bathroom - we prefer the simple hot/cold taps!)
- Ben (9/5): Great property, great host, great stay. - The property was in excellent condition. The communication from the landlord was clear. The location for Oxford was great and well served by plenty of buses and scooters available for hire. It was an easy walk to Summertown high street which has a great selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. Not the responsibility of the property owner but the pavement on Woodstock Road (outside the entrance to Summertown Court) was quite narrow and the road is fairly busy so not ideal. Although never an issue for us, the noise from the road was audible from the front room too.
- Gwenda (9/5): Superb - Excellent location, perfect size for a short stay, modern and comfortable
- Raymond (10/5): - Perfect. We could find nothing wrong with our stay here. It had everything you could want and was extremely clean and well maintained. The location is perfect for visiting Oxford and all surrounding areas.
The host was very communicative in regards to access and recommendations of what to see.
Would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended.
- Lucy (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional - Position was great for us. Hopped on the bus each day to go into Oxford Town. Close to shops. Living & kitchen area great. Very happy with apartment, no negative comments.
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Richard (9/5): Great home away from home! - great location, secure parking, spacious and clean shower temperature control needs fixing despite following careful instruction
- Gilson (9/5): A quiet corner a stones throw from great local restaurants and shops - Great location, quiet, clean and very well equipped. The only criticism was a blue flashing light on the socket in the bedroom.
- Greg (10/5): Fabulous Cotswolds lodging experience! - Angela was the perfect host, and served a wonderful breakfast in her expansive dining room. The property is beautiful, quiet, and comfortable. No complaints whatsoever!
- Roger (9/5): Ideal ( if travelling by car ) location that provides excellent spacious accommodation. - Excellent value for money, as spacious modern apartments in Oxford are notoriously difficult to find. Summertown Court meets every need for visitors travelling by car. Great location, large modern clean apartment, generously provisioned and equipped. Nothing.
- Penny (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Perfect, stayed here while we travelled to the British GP over the weekend, bit of a drive away bit the property was fab - Fantastic location, so clean and comfy:) Nothing!
- Colleen (8/5): Very good - Convenient location, comfortable. Shower hot water system is confusing
- David (9/5): Superb - Great facilities, ease of parking, proximity to local village as well as Oxford. Nothing
- Fiona (7/5): Good location with parking. - Great location with nearby shops and bus into city centre. Parking space. Clear instructions to get in. Spacious shower and equipped kitchen. The windows were broken and hard to open. Needed to open them in the warm weather. The fridge door also is tricky to open being so close to the wall.
There's a blue flashing light in the bedroom that is constantly on.
- Sarah (10/5): - Great flat. Very easy check-in. Had all the necessary amenities. Comfortable bed. Close to the Summertown main street. Perfect for what I needed.
- Nathan (3/5): Wouldn't go again - Location The flat had not been cleaned. Towels were dirty, bin wasn't emptied, shower had hairs in it, bed had not been changed and fridge had left over milk and food in it. Flat also had an unpleasant smell.
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lorraine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rw (10/5): Home away from home - Very considerate and helpful host. Clean and bright kitchen. Rare to find a house with such well equipped home appliances and branded utensils. Homey feel throughout the stay. Off the street, nice cafes open early before 8, plenty of decent dine-in places (and an authentic oriental restaurant)closing late at night.
- Brigitte (9/5): Great place, great location - Loved this accommodation. Great neighbourhood, central location, timely and friendly communication from the host. The flat has been furnished understanding and anticipating a traveller’s needs, down to the sugar, salt & pepper etc. and was very comfortable and clean. I had a perfect stay. This feels like nitpicking but…like most British showers it was not a hot power shower but a gentle summer rain drizzle due to insufficient water pressure.
- K (9/5): Happy with our stay - Location. Parking space (although it was occupied when we arrived 🙄)
Nice flat, we were very comfortable
Owner responsive and helpful Not obvious where to find things, took me a while to find the walk-in kitchen cupboard 😊
No coffee machine pods
Fridge opens wrong way, very awkward
Some cling film or foil would be useful
