Guest Reviews
- Ernst (10/5): - We enjoyed our four nights stay a lot; it was our second stay; great location within the nature with a beautiful view; zebras, gazelles and giraffes are coming very close, delicious food and very professional and friendly staff; unbeatable value for money😁👍☀️
- Paulina (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): - Great camp, beautifully kept, awesome staff, cool swim pool and fantastic choice of foods. Nothing
- jelmer (9/5): - Voorzieningen, eten, tent, alles perfect.

- Christopher (10/5): Excellent choice for the central Serengeti in February - In February the central Serengeti is rich in animal life, as the Great Migration heads into the area. It's an ideal time to be here. The accommodation exceeded our expectations. The tented camping is excellent quality and comfort. The staff are delightful. The food was remarkably good considering where you are. We thoroughly enjoyed our two days here and would recommend it to anyone. Nil
- Michael Mosebo (8/5): Exciting Wildlife View from the Tent Security? - The view of wildlife from the tent It was a long walk from the tent to the restaurant accompanied by security armed with a stick only The night when there were many guests in the restaurant food was limited at the buffet It was much better the following evening
- CHI WA (10/5): Highly recommended - Good services provided and comfortable accommodation. Nil
- Sylvia (1/5): Doesn’t exist - it’s a hoax - This one is not existing and they sent me spam PayPal emails. Please remove them. Thanks, Sylvia It doesn’t exist

- Brian (10/5): The staff were incredible! We would highly recommend this place to anyone wanting comfort - Very good and a great start to a day of safari Nothing
- Suzanne (10/5): Loved it. Would definitely recommend! - Beautiful location, lovely pool and nice rooms! Nothing!
- Antique (1/5): GET A COMPETE MANAGER AND FIX GUIDES ACCOMMODATION - The entire management was completely wrong
Guest tent had no functioning shower , and when he was given an alternative tent after several hours , the other tent had a stinking toilet, my guest had diet restrictions and we noticed at check-in but at dinner time nothing was respected, worse of all as soon as after receiving us at reception it was closed without at one responsible in sight , the place lacked a manager. Some the chef managed fix food issue after a direct interaction with him coming to the guest .
Guide’s accommodation was diabolical !!!!! It seems this chain of lodges doesn’t care about guides welfare . This place needs a manager FIX GUIDES ACCOMMODATION they are responsible hardworking men and women who leave their family and good houses to bring you guests
- Hayley (10/5): A fabulous stay in the wilderness - Such an incredible camp! Amazing value for money, exceptional location, fantastic food, great staff. You really cannot beat this, people pay 10 times the amount for an experience like this! Nothing, it was fabulous

- Sarkar (8/5): - Water is a problem.. Water was not here at night
- Daniel (9/5): Tolle Unterkunft! - Gute Lage in der Nahe des Serengeti-Parks. Nichts zu beklagen.
- Maximilian (10/5): -
- Johann (9/5): Traumhafter Sonnenuntergang und Sonnenaufgang mit Wildtieren - Außerhalb, aber nahe am Serengeti Gate gelegen. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Die Zelte waren gut ausgestattet. Heiße Dusche. Tolle Lage.

- Zbigniew (10/5): In the heart of Africa - Wonderful location on the edge of Serengeti, there are plenty of birds around, you can see big mammals too. Great catering service, nice and helpful personnel taking a great care of our safety when walking in the night. Good communication with management.
- alberto (8/5): Fees, fees and fees - The venue is beautiful and the stuff is kind The property is outside the Ikoma gate, therefore, if you spend the night there, you need to pay the Entrance fee for Serengeti twice which is a robbery. Adding this to the Ngorongoro fees extortion make this trip not worth it. On top of everything you pay a wild life management fee of $29.5 per person at the hotel

Heel vriendelijk personeel.
- Pim (7/5): A tent with a view! - Great view! Half of the staff were very nice! It is clean and tidy. Food was great. Good chef. Check out took long.
- Marco (9/5): - the accommodation is in the middle of the nature, animals are free to move around, we saw a bufalo outside our tent. The sunrise is beautiful with the view of the savana and packs of animals. electricity went off multiple times during dinner
- alessandro (9/5): -
- Anje (9/5): Would recommend - Stunning tents and location overall. Hearing the animals at night was amazing. The staff was lovely, they even got up early to escort us to our car on our departure date Value for money. The good was good, breakfast boxes were dry. The additional taxes were quite heavy and felt like a hidden cost. The card facilities weren’t working so we had to pay everything in cash
- ALAIN (9/5): - Emplacement

- Thomas (7/5): - Tolle Zelte und sehr freundliches und unaufdringliches Personal. Achtung bei versteckten Kosten. Die Abrechnung kommt zum Schluss…
- Kristina (10/5): Amazing location to stay in the Serengeti - Amazing view, friendly staff, you feel safe, hot showers, you can actually see lots of wild live walking around the camp Nothing
- Stoffels (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - Very beautiful location and pool. Very good service. The drinks ordered were not right on our bill
- Ernst (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our 3 nights stay a lot, very close to Serengeti National Park, staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, very tasty and delicious food😁👍☀️
- Terje (10/5): An amazing lodge getaway in the middle of a peaceful bush. - I had the most epic vacation at the Africa Serengeti Ikoma, and would a 100% recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the ultimate peace; enjoy fresh air; see tons of animals — also at your doorstep.
The staff at the lodge is second to none — super helpful, kind, caring, genuinely interested, very helpful, and to top it all off — our driver, Mr. Godlisten was an absolute gem. He picked us up from the airport, spent the entire week driving us around and showing us all the animals — from cheetah family to more than 20+ lions across 3 game drives to many many more wildlife encounters. I’m so thankful and can’t praise Godlisten highly enough for his driving skills, his kindness, and all the interesting stories he shared.
A couple of key tips: bring cash and don’t rely on credit card machines (there’s no connection in the bush); go during the ‘wet’ season in March — you’re guaranteed to see so many more animals, and waaaay less crowds; stay at least 5-6 nights and take 3 game drive trips during your stay. PS! There’s also a tiny souvenir shop at the lodge.
- Ivor (7/5): Good -
- Anwar (9/5): Camping with class - It's better than camping. It was a great experience living in the wilderness type settings. Lack of internet in the room. The internet was in the dining room a little further from our room. It did serve our purpose.
- Amanda (6/5): Plenty stay in Northern Serengeti - We liked our canvas lodge. Reasonably private rooms which was nice. Lovely view. Close to Ikoma gate. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Staff in restaurant helpful and friendly. Food needs to be warmer. Small hot water tank! Tent zips needed replacing - a bit tired! Glass shower gel bottles are not a good idea!! Should be plastic.
- Pansours (7/5): Good - Good for the price Its a bit far for daily game drives until you reach the most popular places of the park.
- Julie (10/5): Will definitely recommend this lodge when visiting Serengeti. - The setting was lovely and great value for money. Only required WMA fees which are less than the park concessions fees and is very close to Ikoma gate , not too far from the popular Seronera area. Staff were lovely and met all our needs. Tents are tastefully decorated and well kitted out. Hot water shower was not easy to acquire but we did not have much luck with hot water at most of our stays.
- Bem (10/5): Stunning safari dream tents. Loved the atmosphere and the staff were incredible. - I loved the romance of this place. It was exquisitely African - incredibly close to the Serengeti. You had to be careful not to leave your shoes out in case the hyenas ate them! The real safari deal! I didn't quite understand why we were paying conservancy fees - we were not in the park and we were very near a village.
- Fanay (10/5): Luxurious Glamping Near Serengeti with Wonderful Service - The property, located just outside the Serengeti gates, was beautiful and offered luxurious glamping. The only downside was the extra charge for entering and exiting the gates, but it was well worth it. The food exceeded expectations, as it wasn’t buffet-style like I had anticipated. Instead, it was personalized and different each day, which made for a delightful dining experience. The staff were incredibly kind, and my group of friends especially loved the waitress who served us. Her warmth, kindness, and friendly energy truly stood out and made our stay even more memorable.
- Mumba (6/5): Stay was nice, except a feel huddles but OK - Break fast was great, supper was good It's outside the park, it's difficult to access, transport to the facility is expensive 😫
- Esther (10/5): Excellent - Excellent food. Great staff. Very comfortable beds. Great security. Very peaceful and relaxing stay. None
- Ruth (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jerome (9/5): Superb -
- Denise (10/5): Truly wonderful experience in the most beautiful national park - Beautifully located, a lot of wildlife to see, beautiful swimming pool and amazing staff Water was an issue from time to time. No pressure at the lodges and often no hot water
- Aurelien (10/5): Beautiful camp near Serengeti Ikoma Gate - Very good location, close to Ikoma gate
Breakfast and dinner are very good
Swimming pool is stunning
Animals around the camp, lovely bush melody If you come from Arusha, you need to transit via Ngorongoro (Loduare gate), then Naabi Hill Gate to go through Serengeti National Park and finally exit at Ikoma Gate. This needs to be taken into account when self-driving regarding the fees (around 350 USD one way)
- Xiaoke (8/5): Very friendly staff, eagle to help. Very attractive experience Need some improvement in good - Unique experience Breakfast is limited Hot water is lacking in the evening.
- Joseph (9/5): Superb -
- Kate (10/5): Magical time among the animals with warm and helpful staff - The rooms were among the wildlife. We saw zebras and other animals around the property. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotless. I can’t recommend this place enough. The game drives we did were awesome - excellent guide, safe driving. The staff went above and beyond the make sure we enjoyed our experience!!! Nothing
- Jan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mozella (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was exceptional. Location what close to Serengeti gate. Tent was clean and room.
- Jacqui (10/5): Amazing. - An amazing location just outside the park gates. Tents were fabulous. Staff were exceptional. So friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Food was lovely. Amazing value for money. You don’t need to spend thousands on a lodge to visit the Serengeti. Could not fault this lovely lodge in any way. Having to leave it.
- Anderson (7/5): Good - The staff is friendly, the structure and food is good. The hotel is close to the park, but far from the center of serengeti.
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful Serengeti experience - Staff!! Such a lovely team! And the location was perfect, you had a beautiful sunrise and sunset and animals in the lodge (e.g. giraffe, antilope, buffalo, hyena we only saw at night). Serengeti Nationalpark is only a 5 min drive away. The beds are maybe a little bit too hard for us
- Lynn (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice tents, great service, amazing staff, good food! Best safaris 🥰
- Dan (10/5): A+ - Awesome spot just outside the gate at Ikoma. Friendly staff, great food and wildlife at your doorstep.
- Raja (10/5): Excellent memorable outdoor camp next to the National park - The tents were the best. The wildlife likeZebra and Baboons used to visit the camp next to the tents. The atmosphere was awesome. The staff were courteous. The food was amazing. The management was cooperative. We had two issues with regard to payment and the issues have been resolved to our satisfaction. TheThree days we spent there was the best in my whole life and memorable. Wish to go there again with my family. Location was just outside Ikoma gate and I feel is ideally located. Serengeti National park bring so big that from any place we can’t cover the whole park without wasting someone in commute. We were lucky to have witnessed MIGRATION for thirty minutes. Our Driver, guide and vehicle were superb. Memorable trip. Nothing I remember
- Phillip (9/5): Superb - The view from our lodge was amazing. The staff were great. Breakfast was really good. The room was very nice. Sitting on the patio in front of our lodge looking out at the serengeti was sublime. Evening meal could have been better. No real choice.
No tea / coffee maker in room.
- Parmitag (9/5): A wonderful comfortable stay in the middle of nature - Lovely place in the middle of nature. We saw giraffes, buffalo and many birds just wandering around. Attentive staff, a lavish breakfast spread, comfortable spacious bed, tent and bathroom. It was all great! Giving guests slippers would be useful.
- Lukas (10/5): Beautiful safari getaway - The food was amazing especially the breakfast! So filling and the rooms were nice Water pressure was nonexistent
- Rosen (5/5): The accommodations are great, but the management issues left a bad taste. - The setting was great. Well located We had to change our reservation from 2 nights to one due to medical issues and are still not able to get a refund.
- Latika (10/5): Beautiful location and helpful staff - The location and the food (we opted for vegetarian) was amazing. We had to pay tawa permit and three times Tanapa fee to reach and stay at the property.
- Thomas (10/5): Perfect Pod at the Edge of the Serengeti - We really loved our all-too-short stay at this spectacular camp, where tents face the Serengeti National Park, without any barrier, so that we woke up to giraffes walking by in droves at sun-dawn. The tents are basically little huts and very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant area is quite grand and features a second floor with a spectacular view across the wilderness. Highly recommended, especially when traveling from Masai Mara across the Kenya/Tanzania border. N/A
- Liza (10/5): Glamping in Serengeti - You can see the Serengeti grasslands and the amazing night sky. The food, as some things were flavorless and the meat was rough.
- Randel (8/5): Very good -
- Shea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (8/5): Very good - Location, staff Dark dining area
- Jörg (7/5): Good - Good location.
Nice open space.
Good breakfast.
Friendly and helpful staff, except manager Unmotivated managar.
All in all overpriced.
They asked crazy prices for stupid food, so we had to go to the village to eat.
The camp does not seem well maintainec.
Only few tents and main building are in good condition.
Nobody answering the phone, which in such remote area is absolutely a no go.
- Grace (8/5): Good stay, but could be improved - The view from this room was magnificent. Food portions were generous and delicious, and staff were solicitous and helpful. The room was spacious. The water pressure was terrible. The front entry has a gap in the insect protection, so leaving the lights on at night is an invitation for a TON - literally hundreds - of insects to pour in. The safe didn’t work, and it took asking four times while they insisted it worked and we weren’t using it right (the staff couldn’t get it to work either - door didn’t close) to get it replaced.
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joao (6/5): Pleasant -
- Johanna (10/5): Super - Great place in the wilderness, we heard lions and saw buffalos just about 50 meters away from our tent! The electricity and wifi didn't work all the time, but we stayed in the middle of wilderness so we were surprised that we had electricity and wifi at all
