• Eishiro (5/5): 設備は綺麗だが、煩すぎて快適性は全くない - 比較的栄えている地区にあるため、利便性は良い。新館はとにかく綺麗で設備も整っている。 掃除も行き届いており、キッチンはもちろん、トイレやシャワー、洗面などの共有部はとても清潔。 他の人のコメントにもあるように、本当に壁が無い大部屋に泊まっているぐらい他の部屋や声が煩すぎる。 朝3～5時は登山準備の人が多いので、キッチンや廊下の音や声が本当に宿中に響いていて、とても眠れない！！ 隣の部屋の声やTVの音はもちろん、夜中はイビキやスマホのバイブ音も聞こえるぐらい壁が無く、快適性は皆無だと思った方が良い。 部屋でもヒソヒソ声で話すようにしたが、宿側が音や話し声については強く注意すべきで、海外の人も多いが至る所に張り紙をすべき。 102号室は大雨で雨漏りするから、窓際に荷物や布団を置かないこと。 乾燥機は大きいが、8分/100円は5回まわしてやっと乾くぐらい。
• Nhat Lam (9/5): Totally worth every penny - The check in place is right at the Miyanoura bus station. Easy for deposit your luggage and hop on the shiratani ravine bus. The accommodation is inside the village and near the restaurants. Room and facilities are clean and neat. They also provide shoes cleaning and dryer for dirty stains during the hiking.
• Daniele (5/5): Worth checking just for staying one or two nights, depending on which facility you get put into - The good thing about the property is that it is on the road where the bus passes by for going to Shiratani Unsuikyo. That’s the most good thing about it, you can hop on the bus early in the morning, and also try to go to Jomon Sugi walking at a different stop. I also appreciated that I could check in earlier due to earlier cleaning from the staff after I mentioned the stress and bus situation, although I was under stress exactly because of the limitative times that they put in the first place. The staff / owners overall were very kind, if pragmatic. The shower was clearly old but functional, between dirty and acceptable. There were may towels available, but no table to temporarily put other things into so I had to put them on top of the towel. None of the photos of Booking.com refer to the facility where I stayed: I stayed at the Main facility where check in was done, while the photos indicate the newer B side building. Most people reviewing have stayed there rather than at the main facility, thus giving higher score. It seems that the owners might live there because the reviews, which I had to check to see if I was the only one with qualms, mentioned also arrangements for bento boxes. The check in time is only starting 2pm and finished at 6pm, which is a huge issue because even if you go in the morning directly to Shiratani Unsuikyo if you miss the last bus at 4 o’clock there are scarcely taxis available to return, meaning you won’t be able to do a check in. As mentioned above I appreciated the staff kindness and assistance, but it was needed exactly because of these limitations. The place is very rundown in my opinion. There is a very very tiny staircase that you have to take either to the 2F or all the way to the 3rd floor, where I was. My room was a singular simple room with a mini futon, a base for it and a blanket to cover myself. The guesthouse is shared, there is only one pair of slippers which are used in the bathroom only, but they were taken by other guests during the evening. One of the guests didn’t even close the shower room, which was shared for everyone, either he wanted a visit or thought he owned the place as he brought the slippers with him. In addition there is just a small sink to use for everyone with not much space to put things, nor properly labeled soap: there was a bottle of DETERGENT on the sink. What happens if someone that doesn’t double check for Japanese translation uses that on his face? The water was smelling and tasting bad, and when I said it to the guy at the shop he told me that the water is not good and I should drink at the faucet giving on the street on the ground floor.

• tony (9/5): Perfect location in Miyanoura area - The location is unbeatable. It is right in front of the bus stop! Also, there are many good local restaurants around. Supermarkets are within walking distance. Partial view of the sea from my room window. I love the fact that I did not have to meet or converse with anyone during my stay. Very peaceful. สำหรับคนที่จะมาเดินป่า แนะนำที่นี่เลยค่ะ ป้ายรถเมล์อยู่หน้าที่พัก ห้องพักสะดวกสบาย แต่ห้องน้ำแยก อาจไม่เป็นส่วนตัวเท่าไหร่ มองเห็นทะเลลิบๆ จากที่พัก ที่พักไม่มีลิฟท์ห้องพักอยู่ชั้นสาม บันไดแคบนิดนึง The bathroom could be cleaner.

• Minako (9/5): - 建物が新しくて清潔に保たれており、セキュリティーもしっかりしていました。シャワールームやトイレも１階と2階で2つずつ設置あり、待ちのストレスもありません。タオルも大小用意されており、炊事設備も揃っていてご飯も自炊できるレベルです。(調味料はありません)お弁当の手配もしてもらえ、登山に行くにも良かったです。 特にありませんが、和室なので部屋に座布団があると良かったかもです。

• Makiko (8/5): - とにかく安い。 あと場所がとても良い。宮之浦のバス停がすぐそこ。ツアーをここで拾ってくれるので、早朝に起きてすぐに準備できればとても助かる位置。 レストランも近所に数件あるので、夜は問題なさそう。 スーパーまでは少し歩いたけど、全然徒歩距離。 部屋には色々揃っていて便利で清潔感もあった。折りたたみミラーまであったので、女性は嬉しいと思う。 ドライヤーも部屋にある。 トイレの近くに大容量のポットがあって便利だった。 チェックアウトの日に荷物を預かってくれた。1階の釣り具屋さんが8時オープンのようなので、それ以降の時間ならOKとのこと。 屋久島はトレッキングしに来る人が多いと思うので、眠るだけ＆ちょっと近所を観光したい人にはとても良い選択肢だと思う。ここにして良かった。 耳栓をして眠れば問題ないが、壁というか作りがアレなので、別の部屋の人がちょっと動いたりするとすぐ響く。（それを分かって予約したので個人的には問題なし） 廊下を歩くのはかなり気を遣う。 トイレの流れる音が独特で、最初聞いた時は誰かのうめき声かと思ってびっくりした(笑)。 外国人の方も泊まっていて、英語併記もされていたが、シャワー室の表示が「使用中」となっていてずっと待っていたが、結局その前に出て行った外国人が「空室」にし忘れていただけのようだった。 （その人が出ていくところを見ていたが、使用中というサインを見て引き返したのだと思っていた） 良くなかった点ではないが、1日トレッキングした後はやはりお風呂に入りたくなるなとしみじみ感じた。（近所にお風呂だけ入れるホテルがあったので行こうとしたが、しんどすぎて諦めてしまった）

• judy (9/5): Cosy, comfortable stay in the heart of Miyanoura - Comfortable, quiet guesthouse with a roof top terrace. The guesthouse has a mix of tatami and wood floored rooms. The room was equipped with a TV, AC and wifi. The bed is a Japanese futon and very comfortable. There's a shower room, toilet, microwave, fridge and hot water pot. The staff were friendly and helpful, they recommended some good local restaurants in the area and provided an English map. Luggage can be left before check in and after check out. The rooms are on the third floor and the stairs are difficult to navigate if you have large luggage.
• Thida (9/5): good location, worth for value - There is spacious kitchen and utensils. Guests can cook. In our cases, we bought some food (for breakfast and lunch pack for the next day hiking) in fridge and made breakfast warm. It was very convenient to have kitchen. If we can place an order in advance, staff will prepare lunch box (for hiking) and will deliver at 4am. So for hikers, it is quite convenient as out there, there is no convenient stores which run 24 hours like in cities. Supermarket will close around 7pm ~ 9pm depending on the store. Apart from that, room is clean. Environment is quiet and it is very easy to access bus stop and port. N/A

Pas de randonnée dans la forêt ou voir les cascades... Emplacement dans des petites ruelles à 5mn de l'arrêt 23. Très moderne mais déco très froide. Lumière néon dans la chambre. Aucun café à disposition :1ere fois depuis 15 jours.

• Enzio (10/5): - La chambre était très agréable avec une vue sublime sur les montagnes et la mer. Situé devant l’arrêt de bus Miyanoura (essentiel pour se déplacer sur l’île sans voiture !). Personnel agréable et accueillant.
• Yuying (7/5): - Place is pretty clean, and has all the basic amenities. Check-in time is weird, you cannot check in after 6pm, non negotiable and uncompromising. I wish it was more obvious when I booked this place. To be fair, they did put it out there, but please be sure that you truly understand its significance, because they are uncompromising. I hope you won’t be like me, who planned this trip, but only to find out at the last minute that you probably cannot check in by the requested 6pm if you take the only bus from Arakawa. Also, they are the least friendly people that I’ve ever met in Japan. It’s an okay place, for about the same amount of money, I would rather stay at the Minshuku right across the street.
• Laura Emilie (7/5): - À 20min à pied de l'embarcadère. Très bon rapport qualité-prix, une chambre seule pour environ 4000¥ la nuit. La chambre est suffisamment grande pour une personne avec une très grande fenêtre vue sur les montagnes. Machine à laver gratuite (mais seche linge à 100¥). La douche est vétuste avec traces de moisissures. Le lavabo est au niveau de la cuisine sans possibilité d'intimité. Pour la cuisine il n'y a qu'une bouilloire, un micro-ondes et un frigo (par étage) ce n'est pas très pratique.

ArretS de bus trés proches Le Monsieur responsable de la GH m a beaucoup aidée dans les horaires de bus...et les directions. Attention aux horaires...sinon !! La dame qui fait le ménage a bien voulu me donner 2 matelas de plus car les 2 précédents étaient insuffisants alors que j y séjournais 6 nuits. Grande chambre fonctionnelle. Des Izakayas trés proches . Sashimis excellents. C est trés propre. Merci a tous les 2 pour votre sympathie . Arigato gozaimasu RAS

• Will Zhao (6/5): Great location, great facilities, but the mildew smell from the ac was unbearable :/ - The new building where I stayed at was 10-15 min walk from Miyanoura port and extremely close to the bus stop to Shiratani Unsuikyo, which is very convenient. The place was clean and had all the facilities you would need, washing machines, dryers, shoe dryers - everything was easy to use and worked well. The owner was very friendly and explained to me where everything was and allowed luggage storage at the main building even before checking in. The AC in my room gave off a really strong, almost nauseating mildew smell when turned on. Normally your nose would adjust to a faint smell and stop smelling it after a while, but in this case, it was so bad that it stayed very dominant for every second of my stay. Apart from the sheer discomfort, it became a real health concern, and made an otherwise almost perfect stay not so pleasant. It's really a shame, but I would hesitate to book again when I visit Yakushima in the future.

• Veronika (9/5): - The location was really good and it was convenient to have a well equipped kitchen (there are not many restaurants in yakushima and most of them are quite expensive) and the possibility to do laundry for free. It is a very simple lodging but the price is really good.

• Fumihiko (10/5): 快適でした、ありがとうございました。 - ビルの３階が宿泊エリア。階段で上がっていく。とても清潔。値段が安くコスパ抜群。 シャワールーム、お手洗い、洗面、など水回りの共同エリアは、古い建物なりのコンディションながら綺麗に掃除されていて清潔に保たれてます。ランドリーエリアは入口出てすぐ右。同じ３階にある。部屋はシンプルに寝るだけスペース。この宿は朝日が部屋に差し込んできます。最高です！ 特にないですが、３階までの階段の幅や、出入口まわりが少しタイトです。大荷物の人やおおがらな人には少し狭く感じるかもしれません。

• Famke (7/5): basic but comfortable - My room was above the fishing shop. The place is pretty old and tired, but absolutely squeaky clean. The Airconditioner in my room was great (and necessary given the heat wave when I was there). The location was perfect: right in front of the bus stop and walking distance from many restaurants. The shared facilities are in need of an upgrade, but I'd stay there again.

• Seongju (7/5): cheap and good location ! - Placed in the town center, so it is easy to get around, also near bus stops. The price is very cheap! overall its a very basic guesthouse with nothing intolerable. i was satisfied. everything was fine. I dont expect more for this price!
• Noriko (8/5): とっても快適に過ごせました！ - 全体的にとても清潔でよく清掃されていると感じました。今まで泊まったシャワー共有タイプの宿で1番シャワーが清潔で、大小のタオルやビニール袋なども常備されていて、とっても快適に過ごせました！ 唯一改善点を挙げると、スーツケースを置くスペースがあるともっと良かったです。3泊となると荷物がそれなりにあるので、3人家族で大小のスーツケースが３つ、置き方に悩みました。

• nisimura (9/5): コスパが良く、どこに行くにも便利な宿。 - バス停目の前で移動やツアーのピックアップがスムーズ。外階段で三階まで上がる際に宿の方が重いスーツケースの運搬を手伝ってくれました。近所の食事処や、徒歩圏のスーパーの情報も丁寧に教えてくれて，ありがたかったです。 部屋も貸し出しのタオルも清潔で快適に過ごせました．無料で洗濯機が使え，8分100円の大型乾燥機や20分100円のシューズドライヤーが大変便利でした。共用の冷蔵庫，給湯ポット、レンジがあり，紙コップや割り箸も用意されていて、部屋で食事を済ませたい時にも不自由はありませんでした。コスパ良く快適な滞在ができました。
• Justine (9/5): - Très propre, bien assez de sanitaires, une cuisine bien équipée. Le lieu était calme lors de notre passage. La chambre était très agréable avec des futons confortables. Rien à redire, c'était super! Il n'y a pas beaucoup de restaurants accessibles à pieds et/ou ouverts le soir (nous n'avions pas de voiture). Cependant, il y a des magasins alimentaires assez proches. A 9h30 pile, l'équipe ménage arrive. A prendre en compte si vous faites un jour de repos ou partez plus tard.

• Florian (9/5): Great guesthouse for hikers - Very basic but awesomely equiped guesthouse for hikers (or fishers). I was in the annex in quiet back street, nice to open window at night with mosquito net. Kitchen has fridge, microwave and small oven, laundry room with washing machine, dryer and shoe dryer. Shared toilet, shower all very clean. Nice other guests Small downsides, someone will each day take the 4am bus to Arakawa Museum, being a bit loud.
• กรชุลี (8/5): Very impressive and above expectation - Very good location, only a few minutes walk from Miyanoura port and bus stop is in front of the place. We can order the breakfast and lunch box for the next day hiking. The staffs are very helpful, giving many good advices about the transportation, hiking, place to eat,.... even though having some problem with English. • Sunisa (8/5): Nice. - Shared bathroom/toilet was clean. Location is perfect for us since we didn’t rent a car. The bus stop is closed to the house. Even though, some comments were about thin wall, we thought that all of the guests were very tired from hiking so the place was very quiet after 7 pm. The house is located in the residential area so on the way back to the house, a friendly cat always greet us. If you are a cat person, this is a plus. But the cat at the house on the opposite side of the dinner looked funny. There was no bottle water provided during our stay. It would have been nice to have some water.
• Thomas (9/5): Great value for money in new, clean property - I checked in at the fishing supplies shop, and was then taking to the building where my room was. The room was located in the new wing, a building in the back streets but only a few minutes walk away. The building was newer than I expected. Everything was in near brand new condition (I could smell the new tatami), and I could use the share bathroom/toilet comfortably. It was supposedly fully booked, but I hard saw the other guests, and it was always quiet.
