- alina petit (7/5): The hotel is good but the location is difficult to find.. The room facilities are not enough For the - It's close to the city.. You can order anything from Pickme. Cleanliness is poor... The bathtub is good but the hot water doesn't always work... There is no blanket in the room... The hotel is a bit difficult to find.

- Patrick (6/5): - Très grande pièce et grand lit Très peu d’éclairage, on peut pas lire,
Très peu de Wi-Fi et seulement sur le palier, et une 50 ène de marches à monter avec les bagages avant d’arriver au gîte
- Martincic (8/5): - Mirna lokacija in prijazni gostitelji. Kopalnica potrebuje izboljsave in malo vec cistoce.
Leider keine Empfehlung.

- Nagasuresh (8/5): Very good - I really liked the stay at Havens door guest inn.
People are very friendly and helpful NA
- Wimukthi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruwan (5/5): Passable - Nothing special.
- Janith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Herman (7/5): Good - The host was very helpful and provided everything needed. Served a good breakfast. Access to the property is a bit difficult.
- Jabir (10/5): Exceptional - The room was spacious and room was equipped with the essentials . The bathroom was clean service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to requests.Overall, the room was clean and well-maintained and the Location was good and quiet. Considering the amenities, service, and location, I found the room to be reasonably priced.
- Sachin (10/5): Exceptional Stay - Amazing scenery and wonderful people!!!
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - A nice spot up on the hills. A great room with aircon, a table and chair (sometimes hard to find), nice big bed, hot shower and spotlessly clean. Very good value.
The hosts were extremely welcoming and went out of their way to help me with various things. Extremely kind. Nothing at all.
- Meg (8/5): Very good -
- Jana (1/5): Don't go there - I guess I could say nothing...maybe flexibility of the owners. Well first, the location is hard to find because it's in a shady part of the town and they don't have any signs for their house. You have to go up the hudge stairs (I also added a photo) and then turn left.
This is a guesthouse so the family is living downstairs, upstairs they have rooms for tourist. They know english language but they are just getting a hold of the app and booking - nothing serious.
The rooms oh god. They look nothing like the pictures, maybe they looked like that 10 years ago or even more. There is mould everywhere, including matress and coushins.. There were ants everywhere and the bathroom is literally falling apart. The toilet seat is also mouldy (???). We wanted to stay there but then we saw a cockroach coming from the sheets and went out the same night. We went to Janora Hills instead and boy do I have to say that was a relief.
Tourist scam? Yeah maybe. But they have a problem with mould in Kandy...it's everywhere so watch out :)
- Mohideen (2/5): Very poor -
- Anna (5/5): Passable - Very difficult to find the location. And a bit far from the center and restaurants.
Room has some mold on the walls. Bathroom was very badly cleaned after previous guest.
- Anna (4/5): Disappointing -
- Keshila (3/5): My overall experience during my stay was negative - The sole source of satisfaction during my stay lies in the sense of freedom afforded and the captivating view of the city at night, providing moments of solace and appreciation amid other challenges Unfortunately, issues with the room, private balcony, safety, and overall experience, including a lack of privacy due to visible holes in the door and insufficient soundproofing, significantly impacted my stay negatively
- Nasreen (6/5): Okay - The owners were lovely and got my room ready very quickly as i booked 10min before showing up
- Krish (10/5): Exceptional -

- Neelawathura (1/5): Bad - The place looked bad and not like the pictures
- Rifnaz (7/5): Good -
- Alan (9/5): All good nice breakfast. - Very good value I liked the place, and would stay again. But not suitable for disability problems?
- Dillon (9/5): Superb -
- Ivanthi (3/5): Poor - Near to maligawa, town , bus and railway stations
Can find pick me tuk easily.
Owners are good. There are steep steps from road to property , we have to use it to reach the property. As I travelled with my kids and parents it was very bad experience for me . As there is raining whether day and night it was scary to use it each time.
And in the night there was no lighting in that area , so while using that steep steps we have to use our mobile phone torch to see the path properly. It was very bad experience for us.
There was no continuous hot water supply. As there is rainy cold whether that we experienced , it was very difficult to manage without continuous hot water supply.
They supplied us additional electric kettle to boil water and use for washing .
The lighting inside the family room was very poor.
There is a drainage problem in the attached bathroom in the family room. So once someone use it , water was overflowing.
- Mai (10/5): Exceptional - Very Clean and Staff is very Helpful and Welcoming
- Anton (10/5): Exceptional - Extra friendly owners
Tastiest breakfast
Recomended to visit

- Prabhu (2/5): Steps to the heaven are steep! - First and foremost, if you are a solo traveler, you may find Heavens Door Guest Inn to be a suitable option. However, if you are traveling with family or a group, be prepared to encounter some challenges. Discrepancies on the amenities provided including that of air-conditioning and the inclusion of my daughter in the stay. The lack of clear directions or a name board made locating Heavens Door Guest Inn a bit of a challenge. This omission made finding the inn more complicated than it should have been, especially after a long journey to Kandy. Furthermore, there are steep steps leading up from the road to the inn.
- Thilina (2/5): Very poor - There was a bath tub. Hot water facility not working, properly. & there is no any walk in shower as room description.
- Hashan (10/5): Exceptional - Great service, owners are very accommodating.
Excellent location, close to Kandy town
- Anonymous (7/5): Stay was good as host was very nice and kind - People were kind Hot water issue
- Mukesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abduqodir (9/5): Superb -
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place; good location; puzzling presentation - Pleasant host. Good location; walkable to the center, though a little uphill on the way back. Room was spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was okay. Breakfasts were good. As for negatives: hot water was inconsistent. WiFi generally did not work in the room, which is frustrating. Bath mat was dirty such that I didn’t want to step on it (I’d suggest getting rid of the rug-type and get the easily washed towel-type). Upon arrival, the hostess called in a “free government tourist officer” (?). He offered Information about things to see and do, and offered to arrange transportation via his office’s own tuktuk (at a cost much higher than I was able to arrange on my own). I found this all puzzzling, as this was the only time in a month of travel in Sri Lanka that I heard of anything like this, and I found him to be quite pushy and confusing.
