- anonymousb700 (4/5): - Can’t adjust ac in 92 degree weather. They use a wireless thermostat that is not adjustable by the tenant. Don’t stay here.
- pclouser610 (2/5): Condo hotbox - Do not rent this unit!!!!! I have an incurable cancer and decided to go with the family for one last trip. We stayed in unit 205 August 1st through 5th of 2024. It’s a beautiful unit and has a beautiful view. We paid about 2,500 dollars. The air conditioner would not pull the temperature lower than 73 degrees. The ceiling fan in one of the. Bedrooms did not work. I called 2 days in a row to report these issues. The maintenance men came to the condo but were unable to correct either issue. They could not check the Freon or clean the coils. I was miserable the entire trip. They said they must contact the owner to authorize an a/c person or to buy and install a new fan. The condo was also dirty. Blood on some of the doors floors dirty. Washer and dryer area dirty. If they expect to rent this unit for the price they want they will need to put some money into repairs!
- agizmo (4/5): pelican pointe 805 - Rented pelican pointe 805 through Vacasa unit is outdated carpeting ripped and furniture wore out both were filthy had to have both cleaned needless to say everything wet for 3 days .Rust on washing machine inside and out mold on ceiling in living room bathroom paint touched up. Vacasa took my complaints place was empty month before we got there they have not posted my review spent 5 weeks in this terrible condo they need to inspect place before rental. Note had 3 forks for 3 bedroom condo maintenance did replace what we needed
- SuperN0va001 (2/5): Pelican Pointe 1104 Orange Beach, AL.
TOTAL Rip Off!!! - I want to first mention that VRBO would NOT post my review.
This is why I rated this condo so poorly:
1) THE LOUD CONSTRUCTION NOISE! MON.-FRI. Between 8:30-5!! If you love eating breakfast, watching T.V., sleeping/napping, talking on the phone, or having conversations to the sounds of jackhammers, drilling, saws and hammers, then you'll love this place! And! You'll hear it on the beach too! )The refrigerator doesn't seal well. (Your food could spoil if you don't push it in with a good bit of force.) 3) The balcony sliding door does not lock. (This can be dangerous if you have small children) 4)The front door has 3 (penny size) open holes in it from a previous lock and no one bothered to fix the holes; therefore, anyone could just peak into the condo. Creepy! 5) Only 4 washcloths and 4 towels are provided; however, the listing mentions it holds up to 10 people. The day we got there we called to ask if we could get more towels because we had a total of 7 (which they knew); however, they told us they would not be able to provide more because there's a shortage on them. Wtf! We paid almost 5k and they couldn't run to a store and get some for in the meantime!?? 6) No potholders! We had to use the ONLY kitchen hand towel as a potholder. Ouch!! I have a video and pictures of the extreamly loud construction noises along with problematic issues in the unit if this seems just to unbelievable to anyone. I booked this condo through VRBO back in Feb. 2022. I called Liquid Life two weeks before our ONE AND ONLY upcoming week long family trip to ask them if construction was going on and they confirmed. They sent us an email 3 weeks before our trip informing us of the construction that was due to Hurricane Sally that happened in 2020. Liquid L. states they were informed of the construction back in April and yet we weren't informed of this until May (the month we were going). Why the association at P.P would allow this construction to start during the busiest time of the year and not during the slower season is beyond me! Why they would allow people to continue to book their stay here at the ridiculous prices is despicable and greedy! They falsely advertised (and still continue to!), and wouldn't budge on the price. I tried to quickly find somewhere else to stay that would accommodate 7 of us around the same price, but everything on the beach was completely booked. This was the ONLY time we could go so we were stuck having to go here. Like most, we work hard and look forward to our one family vacation for the year and to be taken advantage of just cuts to the core.
The only thing nice about this unit was the location, scenery and furniture. Don't let the pictures fool you! This unit is very outdated and run down. My final thoughts...spend your hard working money elsewhere!!
- SadTravelor (2/5): Very noisy, doing construction with grinding and jack hammers All day! Only stops at their lunch time. 5/06/20222 - Major disappointment. There is no peace from the noise. Loud grinding noise inside units. Can be heard down on the beach. I mean LOUD. And I mean ALL day long. it’s starts every day at 8:30 am and only stops for an hour at lunch. It’s like being in a dentist office getting drilled. So if you want peace and quiet don’t plan coming until this work is done. If you are scheduled to come. Get your money back!!!
- Lilpick (4/5): In serious need of updating! - The condo itself was nice and overall we had a good a trip, but we had several issues while there. There were several outlets that did not work, even after flipping the breaker. The rug in the living room and the couch were stained & not very well cleaned. The outside patio couch was also pretty well stained and had trash under the cushions. The stove and oven need to be updated. The oven took 3 times as long to heat up and cook than your typical oven. During our stay we had a pipe burst, but thankfully it was fixed in a timely manner. One of the TVs didn’t work. It would turn on and change inputs but never would connect to WiFi or play regular channels. The WiFi was absolutely TERRIBLE. Just so you know, it’s a public network so literally anyone can use it. It never worked a single time during our whole trip. Funny enough there was construction going on during our trip and that didn’t affect us one bit. But just about everything else did. Parking was also a headache. We were only allowed one parking pass per condo and all extra vehicles had to pay to park 10 minutes away. We had a good trip but to pay SO much for a condo only to have this many problems, that’s just not okay. This condo needs some upgrading.
- JenniferD47 (2/5): Bad experience - We rented Unit #1003 on the 10th floor. We were disappointed when arriving at the condo. It was nasty. Smelly towels left in the washer.....and the washer went crazy during some spin cycles. Sheets in guest room with queen bed had stains and some hair on them. Trash was left in ottoman in living room. Moldy, dirty shower curtain. Bed in master bedroom did not have a mattress pad on it. Water would not drain out of the bathroom sink properly....gross. I went to Walmart and bought some new sheets, mattress pad, towels and wash cloths for our stay.
The owner did refund our cleaning fee of a 130.00 dollars. We could have checked out the next morning and he would have refunded our money in full. It was night and we didn’t have other reservations. We did enjoy ourselves on our visit in spite of this. We did have a nice view off the balcony.
- medic1816 (10/5): Great condo - We stayed in 1204 with other members of our family in 905 and 204. All units were very nice. Good location to restaurants and shops. Property was well maintained, great beach access. Pool and kiddie pool were clean and nice.
- 326carriem (6/5): #801 Pelican Pointe - I would recommend a corner unit at Pelican Pointe. The balcony was amazing! We had dinner on the balcony and morning coffee. Parking was never an issue and I felt safe.
The unit needs to be cleaned and updated throughout. Rusty fridge, cabinets and dining chairs need to be cleaned & master bathroom was disgusting. I sent 2 emails to Meyer, no response.
- Freedom644810 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK HERE!! - Although the country is under a pandemic, this place won’t make any exceptions to their cancellation policy. I am on an immune suppressant treatment and cannot travel under these circumstances and although I advised Pelican Point of my situation, they will not accommodate me at all. They won’t even let me have a credit for a future visit. Just 100% loss of full payment even under these circumstances. The ENTIRE country is accommodating people but Pelican Point won’t budge on their cancellation policy. This was booked through HomeAway and HomeAway will and has refunded their service fees without any problem, and were disappointed on Pelican Point’s response to my situation. This place doesn’t deserve anyone to support them if they can’t support us during a country crisis!!! Don’t give your money to these people!!!

- ellioth722 (2/5): Pelican demolish Pointe - Facility is undergoing demolish of concrete on all the floors. Jackhammers are constantly going off. If you are looking for a relaxing place this is not it.
Even though the construction is planned for months they do not tell anyone so you get stuck with renting an uninhabitable place.
Should be illegal to do what they are doing.
- Destination399596 (2/5): Below par - I would not recommend this complex are any complex managed by Meyer Properties. We have given them two opportunities and both times have been below par. Unclean , late check in with no notification, unable to receive parking pass even though originally told we could purchase one for $25.00. Once we arrived we were told by management “it was a firm no” now we run the risk of our car below no towed. Please do not stay at Pelican Pointe not family friendly!
- NickNick615 (10/5): Great complex! - Reasonably priced and the rooms are great! My family split between 202 and 203, and both places are great! Plenty of room for a 9 adults and 8 kids. The complex is great and well maintained, and the kiddie pool and large pool are nice when a break is needed from the ocean. The beaches there are awesome and plenty of room during peak beach time.
- CindyB79 (10/5): Great Views! - We stayed in 601 and had a fabulous time. Recently updated condo with great balcony views and beautiful decor. The condo has everything you need to feel right at home! The complex is nice - staff are all friendly, pool area is great, and the building is family friendly. Definitely recommend this unit!
- bguess2018 (6/5): good complex - I like the first-floor units but this was a really nice place. we will stay here again. This is not the nices place as far as being upscale and there are a few people there that you had rather not spend the week with but overall nice place
- CLee0571 (10/5): First Trip To Orange Beach & It Was Amazingly Great!!!! - Condo # 1105 was stunningly beautiful and well kept. The view from the condo was perfect as well as breath taking. The property grounds were very well maintained, we felt very at home & comfortable letting the kids have a little freedom on this resort. We will definitely be back!!!!
- cynthiat425 (10/5): Beyond clean and great, helpful staff - The condo we were in was well appointed and so very clean. Everywhere we went in the facility smelled like it had just been cleaned. Beds and furniture were very comfortable. Lots of comfy furniture on balcony. The staff were helpful and friendly and the rental company was the best! All our needs were met and we were just steps away from the pool and beach. Loved that the entire facility was non-smoking and no pets allowed. If you wanted music outdoors it was fine as long as you wore earplugs. Outdoor music that others could hear was not allowed. The view of the ocean from our third floor room was perfect. Will definitely return next year!
- 886manleyb (8/5): View is amazing - Stayed in 1204 and we had a great view of the beach. Enough room for us and the kids. Wifi was excellent! There were a few minor things that I called for the office to address. Some were taken care of immediately, and some were not.
Overall, nice a quiet place. They take parking passes very seriously and noise very seriously.
I would stay here again.
- MoJulie (6/5): Family vacation - The condo was stocked well and the location was great but the odor of dog in condo was a little unbearable....strong odor as soon as you opened the door. The bedding also had a dog odor.
The condo was located close to stores and dining....security was around which was a plus.
- busytraveler306 (10/5): Great place - We really enjoyed our stay. Love the beach front room. Balcony Was large. We love the outdoor and indoor pool with hot tub.
Close to dollar general and many good places to eat.
We had a three bedroom unit and it was spacious and suited out party of 5 adults and three children.
- 328juner (4/5): Awful place to stay! - Friends of ours paid almost 2400$ brought wife and kids and another couple they rented a van and drove down. Stayed one night van got stolen. They went to pool and was letting kids play decided to use cell phone and hook to speaker for music and security guard got on to them for having music to loud. So they turned off music and they decided to go back to room well minutes later they were escorted off property by police. No warning no nothing! Out 2400$ with kids and their vehicle stolen. Awful awful awful place. Complete rip off... do not waste your time!! Or hard earned money
