They are very pet friendly so we were able to bring our little dog with us. The staff left us a really sweet congratulations note as well. We did not find anything we didn't like.

The staff is young and very upbeat and knowledgeable about Fort Collins. We routinely asked them where to eat and what to do and followed their every suggestion, all of which worked out fine. Ace Gillette downstairs is awesome and our visit there made our stay special. The hotel definitely has a charm factor. Oh, and the espresso machine is 👍🏽. The room is very small and the walls a bit thin. From time to time I could hear things next door - not normal talking but the shower, and loud coughing.

Everything worked, no complaints, bed was comfortable, bathroom super nice, and the attached restaurants (one in the evening, one coffee shop in the morning) were both perfectly fine! Staff was charming and efficient. If for any reason I come back to Fort Collins (doubtful, but you never know), this is the place to stay!

We were greeted by the very friendly front desk staff and were informed our room had been upgraded. When we arrived in our room there was a very sweet note stating Happy 49th Anniversary! We wish you a lifetime of love and happiness! You won us over and when we travel to Fort Collins we will stay at the Armstrong Hotel! The location is perfect and very convenient to restaurants and walking downtown.

The shower diverter valve did not work. The mini split unit did not heat the bathroom adequately. There were old steam radiators but they were not functional. No microwave in room or lobby. I liked the bar/restaurant downstairs. The location is great. Complimentary ear plugs were provided. So that’s a clue!

- Tugg2 (10/5): Great stay at the Armstrong! - The Armstrong is a wonderful old school hotel in old town Ft. Collins. Great walking access to the Aggie Theater and other restaurants and bars. Checked out Ace Gillett's Lounge and loved it. The staff was super friendly and the decor is like something out of the late twenties or early thirty's. Will definitely stay at the Armstrong again. Power went out in the bathroom, but the staff found the breaker and fixed it very quickly. It was not a big deal at all. Loved everything else.

- kimgV7483PQ (2/5): BUYER BEWARE!! - I accidentally booked the wrong weekend at this hotel. I realized my mistake one week in advance and asked to either change dates or get a refund. They said they'd need to keep my deposit. I asked how much the deposit was and they said $859. I then asked what the total price was and they said $859. So that's not a deposit. That's the entire cost. I wasn't happy with the little word play there. So, I just asked if I could change dates because my son is a freshman at CSU and I will be making many trips to Fort Collins and would love to stay at this property another time. They said absolutely not. I recognize it was my mistake booking the wrong dates, but I have NEVER encountered a hotel that wouldn't work with me AT ALL!!! I completely LOST $859. I travel very frequently and have always found hotels accommodating and understanding of their guests. This is the first time in my entire life that a hotel kept ALL MY MONEY and gave me ABSOLUTELY NOTHING in return. Please spread the word on this hotel. Buyer beware. I recognize it is a cool property in a great location but no business should be allowed to get away with completely ripping someone off like this.

- janemV2437UM (10/5): The Armstrong Hotel and Ace Gillett's....GREAT EXPERIENCE - LOVE this hotel....the ambiance, the food and drinks at Ace Gillett's, the front desk staff.....all 5 stars in my book. The front desk staff makes you feel like you are royalty. They greet you each time you walk in the door, they make you feel like your special and are so helpful with whatever you need. The room was perfect for my husband and I to have 2 cozy nights while we were in Fort Collins for a wedding. Ace Gillett's is a MUST as far as we're concerned. We always sit at a bar when we go to a restaurant because we enjoy the experience of eating at the bar and watching the staff do their thing. The bar staff is incredible at Ace Gillett's. They have all been there for a long time which means they know their stuff and the food.....if I could put a picture of me doing the "chef's kiss", that would explain my feelings. You won't be disappointed by your experience at this great hotel and restaurant. We can't wait to go back. We only live 2 hours south of Fort Colins but haven't been up there in about 25 years....and now we have a reason to go back. We love this place.

We were lying awake for 3 hours and talked to the front desk several times but they were not able to help. These rooms also don't have natural sunlight (looking out on a building that is 6 feet away). It was an extremely frustrating experience for us as this was supposed to be a much needed get-away!
