- mackovita (8/5): Charming, quaint western hotel - Stepping into the hotel lobby is a bit like stepping back in time. At the same time, the rooms are all modernized, from the flat screen TV to coffee maker (sadly for tea drinkers, though, no hot water kettle), to super comfortable beds. My room (24) had a claw-foot tub with showerhead. The cozy glassed-in patio was a perfect place for breakfast, afternoon drinks, or just ready in a comfy chair. A couple of other comfy nooks are tucked away elsewhere in the hotel.
- X182LJchelseal (10/5): Peaceful - The atrium was beautiful to sit and have morning coffee with breakfast at the hotel was very quaint and romantically charming
- terryaO1094CB (10/5): Great Experience From A-Z - From the moment I entered I was welcomed with a friendly helpful spirit! I was given an incredible tour of the property, and a great historical background. The experience was a great one, and I will return. Location is close to all points downtown and parking is easy and free. Definitely on my return list when in the region!
- Mark (9/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would definitely stay again! - Enjoyed the atmosphere of the hotel. Quiet time of year for them but all rooms were lovely.
- danagT3595GC (10/5): Hospitality at its finest! - I spent 5 days at the Chamberlin Inn in January 2026. My welcome to the hotel felt personal. There were fresh flowers and local chocolates in my room. My room also had a large soaking tub, which I very much appreciated after spending all day outside. The bar on the main floor serves excellent cocktails and small bites. Fred and Kristie made me feel like I was coming home at the end of each day. The location is steps away from Main Street, with its many restaurants and shops. I will never stay any place else in Cody.
- Marigene (10/5): - We have stayed there before so returned
- lawrence (9/5): My wife specifically wants to come back to Cody just to stay at this establishment. -
- Edoardo (3/5): - La struttura e soprattutto la camera non era da un hotel a quattro stelle, e non giustifica il prezzo
- N6834LEtravish (10/5): Hidden gem in the heart of Cody! - Amie Sharp at the Chamberlain Inn in Cody is truly the "hostess with the mostest"! As the manager and events coordinator she does an amazing job bringing in live music and events and fostering a warm and friendly atmosphere. She makes every guest, whether a regular local or out-of-town vacationer feel like a welcome family friend! Can't say enough good things about Amie's outstanding quality service served up with her very genuine Cody Wyoming smile! Oh, and the cocktails are pretty good too!
- anthonymp2026 (10/5): Favorite bar in Cody - I go every week with friends for a glass of wine or two and always appreciate the fine service and welcome from Amie Sharp and Fred at the bar.
- Stay64834547390 (10/5): Add this destination to your travel list! - This review is unique in that we have not visited yet, but because of Amie Sharp’s advertising of the Inn we have moved it up significantly to our Places to Visit. She has connected with the community in many ways by posting intriguing videos, having articles written about the destination and sharing events on social media. Her event planning efforts should be recognized and considered for all future visitors.
- bobhU3461YT (10/5): Great place! - The lounge is a great place to have a cocktail and enjoy live music! Aimee is an excellent hostess and always makes me feel welcome!
- webg2026 (10/5): Great time - Such a great experience and Amie made it magical and unforgettable. Will definitely be back again soon for some of those signature cocktails.
- Coastal49100674127 (10/5): Relaxed and comfortable getaway - This was our 4th year celebrating New Year's Eve at the Chamberlin Inn in Cody, Wy, and it continues to be our favorite place to celebrate the New Year! The staff is very friendly and accommodating, the rooms very clean and comfortable. Their cozy solarium with fireplace is the perfect spot to relax any time of the day and is a wonderful spot to enjoy the weekly live music entertainment. Their complementary continental breakfast is perfect, and there are many very good restaurants close by for lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend the Chamberlin for a relaxing visit to a beautiful town.
- 855lizd (6/5): Underimpressed - We stayed for a Sip and Stay weekend at The Chamberlin. Our room faced the alley on the first floor…I should have asked for a different room because it was noisy most of the night with people using dumpsters, etc. The room felt cramped to us, the shower (in a bathtub) was challenging to use and there is no counter space for toiletries in the bathroom. The first night of our stay we enjoyed a single cocktail in the lounge, but the second night the bar was closed at 8:30 PM (on a Saturday!) when we stopped by. Disappointing. So, while there are many lovely historic qualities to this property, I was under impressed.

- karlacQ3947RK (10/5): Great service, charming Inn - This Inn is in the perfect location, walking distance from most restaurants. The staff is attentive and wonderful. The hotel is charming and historic. I will book again when I am back in beautiful Cody.
- John (10/5): -
- Sara (6/5): Déçu….. - L’emplacement Chambre très petite et vieillissante
Évier de la salle de bain sale et moisi
Prix très élevé pour la saison et la qualité du confort
- John (10/5): -
- Alfred (8/5): Great stay - Very good don't know
- Kathy (10/5): Kristie Calma the Guest services and Operations MGR is exceptional. What an amazing asset to have -
- Andreas (6/5): -
- Jo (8/5): - We’ve stayed there before!
Great location and good staff.
We will return!

- H4641HWgeorgel (2/5): Avoid The Chamberlin Inn - I would NOT recommend the Chamberlin Inn unless it’s your only choice. I reserved a king suite over other available rooms but in arrival I was told it wasn’t available and that I was upgraded without and prior notice. I did not want this room originally because it’s was directly above the hotel bar. This resulted in a noisy night with little sleep. The air conditioning was blasting with the outside temperature being in the 50s and the room was not very clean. The carpet was dirty and the shower was discussing (see picture) I avoided it completely. There are many choices in Cody and I most definitely would not recommend the Chamberlin Inn.
- M (8/5): Lovely restored Inn. Beautifuly decorated in common areas. Staff was great, just ask to see your room before you take - Center of town. Friendly and very helpful staff. Nice simple breakfast. Lovely common areas. Live outdoor music on Friday. Room was extremely tiny overlooking an alley, trucks and dumpsters.
- Joyce (10/5): - This is a unique hotel! It’s like stepping back into the old west. It’s kept up very nice and the bed was super comfy. There’s a bar in the hotel and nice garden patio area to sit and have a drink and they also serve a few meal items. We got a charcuterie board which was excellent! The staff was nice , we enjoyed our stay. If you like something out of the ordinary this would be a great choice. I wouldn’t say it’s great for kids but adults will love it.
- Shawn (10/5): Wonderful place to stay. - Quiet place to stay. Nothing
- Shelby (10/5): - The room was perfect, the garden area was so cute and the area was great!
- Sherrill (10/5): - The Inn was very nice and the staff was very friendly. My only negative was the pillows were too full for my taste, but others may appreciate. Cocktails at the bar were wonderful and so was the garden. Would definitely recommend.
- Suzanne (7/5): Cute but left a little to be desired. - Loved the common sitting area and outdoor seating m. Breakfast was very nice. Room was very small and no refrigerator; ac unit located in bathroom which forced us to keep the bathroom door open allowing more light in the room than desired. Ceiling in bathroom rusty.
- Kathy (10/5): Great stay in central Cody. - Lovely homey lodge. The room had everything we needed for our stay. Staff was very friendly. They have great common space including an enclosed patio and huge outdoor garden. The evening bar service was super convenient.
- James (10/5): -
- L5269PPeg (10/5): Amie at The Chamberlin Inn! - Our family visited Cody, WY, this summer and we spent a late afternoon/evening at The Chamberlin Inn. What a beautiful place. We loved our time there but the highlight by far was the enjoyable gal, Amie who worked at the bar! Not only was she kind, cheerful and attentive but she was happy to give
us great tips where to visit. From the museum to shopping, restaurants and art galleries we ended up having a wonderful and memorable trip! We are sure to come back to Cody and The Chamberlin!
- Connie (10/5): - The most charming hotel of our vacation!
- Conniemama (10/5): charming old hotel - charming old hotel. we were able to get a room on the ground floor. the bathroom was really nice. room was small but adequate. continental breakfast was simple but good. it was easy to walk to down town.
- philipg325 (6/5): A mixed bag, a curate’s egg. - We had high expectations for the Chamberlin given the reviews. The location, the building, the rooms and the garden are all excellent, “as advertised”. However the staff seem to lack passion for service, which is disappointing. We’d been looking forward to experiencing the bar but again it was very disappointing. Also the breakfast is also disappointing, no fresh fruit today despite the photo on the website.
- laurasV2966VZ (10/5): Fun in Cody! - Chamberlain Inn is a wonderful historic hotel. We loved the live music in the garden! Front desk clerk was very helpful.
- 509ChrisP (10/5): Lovely "Wild West" style experience - What a great hotel! Situated just off Main Street with all the usual retail and eatery opportunities and, of course, onlya short walk to the Buffalo Bill Center of the West and Irma's restaurant
- James (10/5): - Very nice Inn with a great location. The room was nice and clean and the service was great. They have a great outdoor space to hang out and while we were there had live music. Will definitely stay here again!
- RodolfoB687 (10/5): Great to experience - The Chamberlin Inn is a cozy, welcoming, and impeccably clean gem, perfectly located in the heart of downtown Cody. The staff is wonderfully helpful, making you feel right at home, and the charming bar is the perfect spot to unwind. I highly recommend it for a comfortable and convenient stay.
- Randall (10/5): - Great place to stay, unique and wonderful
- 532nenah (10/5): Charming Wyoming Inn - The Chamberlin Inn is charming and delightful. It's walking distance to downtown Cody, yet a quiet and peaceful spot to rest and relax during your travels. Every detail has been thought of, from the fresh flowers and chocolate in every room to the warm napkins at the breakfast table. When we arrived, we had a problem with our reservation. But Kristie, the Hotel Manager, efficiently and kindly resolved it within seconds. I can't imagine a better place to spend a night in Wyoming.
- Rita (8/5): Slightly overpriced - It’s a historic hotel which is neat. Brooke was great and was attentive to our needs. Our room was small. The bathroom sink was in the bed area instead of bathroom but I guess when you’re dealing with a hotel this old you have to do what you have to do. Nice lounge area. FYI there’s no elevator so if you are stair challenged, you should request a room on the first floor. This wasn’t a problem for us, just advice for others. I think it was slightly overpriced for the amenities received.
- Inspire745788 (10/5): A really nice boutique hotel! - A beautifully restored historic hotel!
Great location to dining, shopping…
A lovely patio where we enjoyed live jazz music for the evening.
A way above average continental breakfast.
Stevie checked us in and was very nice and helpful with dining suggestions.
- mamliz (10/5): Great place to stay,!! - Loved the location. We were able to walk almost everywhere without moving the car. Very clean. Comfortable beds the outdoor ares are wonderful. Would definitely go back!!! But no elevators. A little hard for me with luggage as I’m 71 but they were very nice and offered to help
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great location clean. Quiet. Bar breakfast. Close dining options
- Paul (9/5): -
- Ann (9/5): Very nice.. Left a day early because of illness. - The History was very cool! It was very nice for a Historic Hotel.
- Lindsay (8/5): -
- Douglas (8/5): - Great yard and bar area. Nice hotel. It’s old and you have to be ready for old charm.
- 848marlav (10/5): Perfection - The ambience of this boutique hotel is absolute perfection. It’s rich history adds a unique charm that book lovers and curious travelers alike will truly appreciate. The setting is warm and inviting, with a beautiful courtyard that offers the perfect backdrop to relax and unwind. Enjoying live local music while sipping on the bar’s signature cocktails makes for an unforgettable experience—this hidden gem is a true delight!

- E8536INhenryp (10/5): Great historic boutique experience - The Chamberlin is the best hotel on Cody. It has an amazing courtyard with live music, a super vool historic vibe, and a killer bar. It's also like 100yrds from 6 restaurants. If you're looking to experience Cody, this is the place to stay.
- Suzette (7/5): Average - Breakfast was good and reception area had a nice atmosphere. Noisy location, receptionist did not accommodate with upgrading options even though rooms were available. Rooms need a renovation and new towels
- Barbara (9/5): Very cute hotel right in the middle of town - Cute property with great breakfast right in the middle of town Nothing
- Christoph (7/5): -
- Gregory (8/5): - We have stayed here many times over the past years. This visit felt a little cold and not as engaging as we once enjoyed with the previous general manager. On departure while loading bags somewhere I dropped my key and was promptly charged $50. Hope they find it! Continental breakfast was nice to have. It’s a great location and charming hotel overall.
- Helen (7/5): Choose the right room and this hotel is perfect! - Absolutely GORGEOUS hotel, the rooms are fantastic (if you get one with a window that looks out on to the garden) and the amenities are great - decent cups (not all single use plastic) at breakfast and nice food. Perfect location and such an interesting history to the place - would def recommend and return, just make sure you select a good room. When we arrived we were given a small dark room, opposite the dining area and bar, with a window facing a building. I immediately asked the lady at reception if it would be possible to upgrade to a larger, better room, away from the dining area and offered to pay the difference as we were staying for 3 nights. The lady at reception was less than helpful; rude, sullen and seemed incapable of finding a solution for us. There were MANY other rooms available, but it was definitely a case of "computer says no" - too hard to take my money and give me a better room. Eventually thanks to the lovely people at booking.com we did managed to move to a much better, bigger (and more expensive) 1 bedroom suite on the 2nd floor, views of the garden and absolutely idyllic. It didn't need to be that hard - suggest the lady needs to consider whether a career in hospitality is right for her. Really loved the location and the hotel itself is gorgeous. Just be careful which room you book.
- tom (6/5): - Beautiful building, very quaint and historic. Room was on the small side. Staff could have been more friendly and welcoming. They were responsive when we asked questions but not ingratiating. I had booked this stay long ago and was very much looking forward to it based on the ratings but left feeling let down. Sorry I just need to be honest so you can improve.
- Robert (10/5): - Historical home, great area in center of town, live music on the courtyard, nice bar area
- John (8/5): great Cody summer - Room was great but tiny. Got really hot at night. Third night we secured a fan which helped dramatically!
- Green Eatz (8/5): Chill out in historic hotel - Historic building with charming rooms and public spaces. Right in middle of Downtown but quiet. View of garden. Tiny tables in room that were too small to be useful. Wash basin not in bathroom but on other side of bedroom. Public areas too cold with aircon set too low
- David (8/5): - Overall nice and friendly. Nice bathroom for size and space. Bed probably too big for the room 14, queen would be fine. Air conditioner noisy but guess it’s par for a window unit. Breakfast coffee too watery, nice muffins. Nice reception staff.
- TONY (10/5): - Beautiful!
- Don (10/5): - Beautiful bread & breakfast kind of vibe. Vintage furniture and tastefully decorated. Shower & bed were great too!
- Darren (8/5): -
- Carl (9/5): -
- Anne (9/5): Hôtel de charme, très agréable - Hôtel de style ancien avec décoration très sympathique
Belle ambiance le soir au bar de l’hôtel
Accueil de qualité
- Shelley (6/5): - When we arrived we weren’t sure if we were going to add an additional evening. We asked if we did if the price would be the same and the reservation girl (who was very lovely) said if there was a difference it wouldn’t be more than a couple dollars. So we agreed. Well it was an extra $80 and the manager did finally agree to discount the price a bit but took hours. What was also annoying about the second night was the music. I was unable to sleep, the bed was uncomfortable & we paid more than we wanted for the second night. I would never return to this hotel! The free drink didn’t exactly make up for the other issues! Completely not worth it! We ended up leaving the 2nd night at midnight because it was so bad!
- Laure (7/5): - Very well located. Nice building and garden The room was very small with barely enough space to put our luggage
- GUY (7/5): Efficace pour un arrêt d'une nuit - Petite attention : chocolats dans la chambre Manque de variété au petit déjeuner
lavabo dans la chambre (et pas dans la salle de douche)
- Kim (8/5): - Very clean. Bath tub was very small. It was quaint
- Susan (8/5): - I really liked the antiques and the character of the hotel. Staff was helpful. Music on the patio, by the bar, was very enjoyable.
Stair railing to the second floor was sticky and yucky to touch.
- John (10/5): - Beautiful courtyard and clean rooms.
- Lori (10/5): Charming Inn with a beautiful outside space. Close walk to restaurants and shops. - Charming Inn with a beautiful outdoor space. New England charm in a beautiful city.
We love the music outside, and the drinks were terrific.
Delicious coffee and breakfast pastries.
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Darling property centrally located.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Very charming historic inn! - This place is an absolutely gem! It’s historic and beautiful, and the garden is such a nice bonus. The service was great, too. The breakfast is a bit limited, but the inn is located right in town so it’s easy to walk to other options. One thing to note is that because it’s old, there isn’t central air in the room, and some window A/C units are in the bathrooms and not the actual bedroom. There also isn’t A/C in all rooms upstairs (like the library). If it’s not a super hot summer, though, then 100% this is the place to stay while in Cody!
- Paul (8/5): Lovely hotel but could be improved with small easy tweaks - Close to town
Live music
Lovely garden and conservatory Shower very small and shower head needed cleaned
Girl on front desk not the most enthusiastic!
Ordering food at evening was quite frustrating as couldn’t get a menu to choose from just what the guy could remember
Coffee in morning was very weak
- Robert (10/5): -
- SYLVIA (10/5): - Loved our stay here for one evening. As someone who’s worked in historical hotels this was such a treat to see the wonderful mess of historic and modern hospitality.
- Frank (10/5): -
- Karen (10/5): Perfect place to stay in Cody - Location , ambience, history, friendliness Nothing
- Sonya (9/5): - Great location and very comfortable
- Stay55568068231 (10/5): Chamberlin charm - Our stay at the Chamberlin Inn in Cody was nothing short of exceptional. Kristie and Olivia made us feel truly welcome—their service was warm, attentive, and genuinely top-notch. The entire hotel was spotless, with a charming, historic character that made it unique.
The courtyard felt like something out of a story—absolutely magical. And as a bonus, knowing that Ernest Hemingway once stayed here added to the Inn’s rich and unique charm.
If you’re visiting Cody, the Chamberlin Inn is the perfect blend of history, comfort, and outstanding hospitality. Looking forward to return!
- John (10/5): Charming historical place, just perfect - Lovely welcoming people. Charming hotel in an ideal location. Would stay there again for sure. Inclusive breakfast was excellent. Nothing
- blayne (10/5): I liked it very much and would stay again anytime - It was a beautifully restored historic building and the garden was a beautiful place to relax I liked everything but the bed mattress probably needs replacing, a little saggy
- Klaus (7/5): -
- stephanieah2024 (4/5): Not a great experience - I knew this was a historic hotel and was prepared for this. The outside tables and side yard are lovely. The woman who checked me in was very pleasant and helpful.
If you decide to try this hotel, ask for a room closer to the courtyard, the alley is quite noisy. The AC is a noisy window unit, not great sleeping, nor does it do a great job cooling. The worst part of my stay is the very!! mildewy shower curtain / bathroom—even with window open in bathroom it’s still very mildew smelling!
I arrived about 9 after a fair amount of driving. Thought it would be nice to relax in the courtyard and the sign out front stated bar was open until 10. When I asked the said they were closing it down.
Not a great experience!
- Silvan (10/5): -
- Denise (10/5): Beautiful inn, great location, excellent choice - stay as long as you can! - inn was beautiful, room was amazing; arrived in time to enjoy live music and drinks; bartender was pretty short and not very helpful, but the other staff were eager to answer questions and make recommendations would have been nice to have live music extend a bit - lots of people were out (summer evening) enjoying the garden area and it would have been nice to extend that a bit; no other suggestions
- 436daner (10/5): Best staff in town - Great hotel in the downtown area, within walking distance of all the great stuff, charming, historic, and great staff. Also super clean, which was great.
- kristy (10/5): -
- 282shannons (10/5): A peaceful oasis right in the heart of town - I cannot say enough in praise of the Chamberlin Inn. Location: half a block away from the busy main corner--and a world away from the hubbub. The room was excellent and the staff was very helpful. Best of all, the Chamberlin has its own bar and a beautiful outside garden. We had great drinks and delicious flatbread. I would not consider staying anywhere else in Cody.
