• Alan (10/5): - Very friendly staff, great location, very nice room and comfortable bed. Good WiFi. The breakfast was a bit sparse but we had been warned by other reviews so supplemented it. Considering the price it's certainly not a complaint.

• Greg (7/5): Good value for money. - Perfect for a one night stay when visiting the market. Alex is friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the TV had Netflix. Market was just a few blocks away. Breakfast was basic, and if you’re not on time your eggs and hot water get a bit cool, but you get what you pay for.
• Tom (7/5): - Location is great, staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and in particular the knocking on the door before breakfast. No need for me to get knocked on my door to be honest. Breakfast was quite poor. Some fruit with yoghurt would have been nice.

• Maria (10/5): Nice room - The room was nice, spacious and clean, and the location was good.We could wash the laundry and hang on the terrace. Nice view from the terrace. The breakfast was good, especially the juice , even if it was the same every single day. The breakfast is not on a period of time, 1 or 2 hours , They are letting you know when it is ready , knocking on the door.
• Gideon (10/5): - Secure parking for our motos inside the hotel with an easy access (room for a few cars, too, but in one line). Very good value, price lowest in town. Room comfortable. Could use dining area for PC. Location two blocks from tourist area, so quiet, no qualms walking area. Wifi ok. And a simple breakfast included. Well, I'm not sure the goldfish is really enjoying life in its tiny tank.

• Atsushi (9/5): Superb - Great little guest house less than 5 minutes to Market. Clean, simple, very good value for money. Staff very friendly. English Is limited but google translate worked well. Barking dogs In night (not hostal’s fault). bring ear plugs.

When I questioned why not later on, I was told that they hadn't had time to replace the one that had broken the previous day. That's something you really need to explain to people when they first arrive. Assuming that's been fixed though, it's a very clean, modern place with very friendly staff.
• Edrs (9/5): Good value stay - Everything (except windows) was extremely nice: nice bathroom with reliably hot water, spacious room with comfy bed, nice view of the mountain and good location not far from the center. Can't comment on breakfast as we never had it. Host tried to charge us for the "commission" (which is what they have to pay to booking). I don't know if it was an honest mistake or if they routinely try that on tourists; In any case we refused and they backed off, I suggest you do the same. Windows noise insulation is terrible, you can hear a lot of noise.

• Chris (8/5): Arauco Hostel in Otavalo - It’s a rather new place, very clean. In the downtown area so you can walk easily to the square and to the club area. Nice people run it. Bring cash. There are great food stands in the square..this is a good town to visit.
